Hey yo! Joel here! I'm originally from Malaysia and am looking for a place for me to settle for at least one year while I get my masters done. I'm studying Masters in International Law in the ANU. I will also be working and studying to be admitted into court. Hence, I will be fairly busy in 2017. In terms of being a flatmate, the thing I value most is cleanliness - I like keeping things tidy and clean, especially the bathroom. I respect privacy and hope to receive the same. Having said that, I am a rather social person. I love the idea of sharing a conversation over a meal, or even perhaps doing something interesting over the weekend. I'm pretty open minded and respect diversity in any form. I may occasionally sing in the shower though, so I guess that is something to be aware of. =)
Hey Hey I'm a pretty layed back kind of chick that works full time as a refrigeration and air conditioning mechanic. I'm clean and tidy. I'm in to music and love sharing new finds. I have quite the skateboard collection, i love skating and snowboarding. I'm pretty outdoorsy. I'm always up for a chat over a drink. I'm very easy going and completely understand privacy. I moved to Canberra only a couple of months ago. I'm living with my brother in a big sharehouse. I'm looking to find something smaller and hopefully cleaner!
I've just finished studying architecture and I'm looking to come back to Canberra from Sydney (tried the Sydney lifestyle but Newtown is just way too trendy) Looking for a place with a few cool people to live with. Easy going, are into music and a bit of good food I snowboard whenever I get the chance, love to hike, swim and be outdoors. People with the same sort of hobbies would be great, but it's always more fun when you've got a bunch of people with different interests
I'm moving back to Canberra for work after 9 months in Sydney. I'll be working in Deakin Mon-Fri. I can cook, I can clean and I like wine. I enjoy living in a busy house - I'm quite social. On weekends I'll be out and about or travelling to visit friends. Essential - walking distance to decent coffee :) Would prefer close to the city, don't mind North or South. I love animals so a pet would be amazing!
Hi guys! I'm Phoebe and I am on the search for somewhere new to live as I just got a new job with a children's charity and just moved down to the ACT. I am 25, pretty easygoing and have been living in share houses for the last 5 years so know the drill pretty well. I am clean, social but like my privacy sometimes and respect others and lead a (mostly) healthy life minus the few blocks of chocolate and glasses of wine I enjoy. I am pretty quite during the week with work etc but enjoy the weekends to go out on walks, socialise (brunch is by far the best meal of the day) and make the most of where I live and also to enjoy going out for a drink or two here or there. I am also new to Canberra so am looking for a place thats more a home and where I can make friends etc rather than just somewhere to sleep at. Also have a flexible move date!
My name is Rachel, and I'm looking for a private room in a house or flat in Canberra( will move to Canberra from Melbourne and study in ANU by the end of June). I'm quiet, clean, easygoing and have lots of hobbies such as photography, folk and post rock music. Also, I'll enjoy having dinner or chatting with roommates, like friends. I respect other people's privacy as well. Hope to find a place that close to ANU (0-5km) and nice roomies.
Hi my name is Ian and I'm currently employed at the Canberra hospital as a registered nurse working full time more than 40 hours a week. I own my own car and am able to pay rent on time. My previous landlords, house mates and friends consider me a reliable and respectful tenant. I have a 5 month old, well-behaved rag doll kitten that I keep clean. I am passionate about anime and learning, and consider myself a responsible and tidy tenant.
Hey Flatmaters, i'm Anthony, looking to relocate up to Canberra soon. I'm an experienced house-sharer, considerate of others, clean, respectful, and mindful of others. Currently run my own mobile IT support business About me : Creative type, musical, enjoy the outdoors, travelling, going on hikes, singing / playing guitar, photography, nature, reading, seeing live music, catching up with friends... Most of my friends are in their early to late 30's - so looking for those kind of demographics. Have my own bedroom furniture (queen bed, bedside tables) + a studio desk i'll need space for (so, fairly large room). If you think we'd be a good fit get in touch! Cheers Anthony.
Hi my name is Sasha and I am currently a student at the ANU studying a Bachelor of Asian Studies. I am a clean individual who loves gaming, xbox, animals, reading, tv shows such as GoT etc etc. I sound like a nerd I know, but I am an extroverted individual who loves making friends and having the occasional bevvy. Im from a rural town in NSW and am currently in need of a new place to live for the next 6-7 months as my student accommodation is far too pricey for my poor student pockets.
I'm Sam, 25 years old, work in logistics at IKEA and currently commuting from Goulburn for work. Looking to find a place to stay closer to work and Canberra. I'm friendly, tidy and respectful.
Hi, I'm a 20 y/o Arts student at the ANU and looking for some comfortable, inner-city digs to see me through the rest of the year. A little bit about my interests? I major in Art History and English and spend my free time practising yoga, retailing wine, and catching foreign films/gallery exhibits and gigs at Smith's/Phoenix Bar. I tend to take to the pen and paints so a homely space with good vibes is exactly what I'm after. I pride myself on a neat nook and would gladly do my share to keep the place tidy! And bonus, I come with a crazy collection of films, art and aromatherapy stuff as house-warmers. Hit me up if you'd think we'd be a good fit, Alex
I'm full time PhD student at CSU, Canberra researching in the area of Social Information Seeking and Digital Humanities. Looking for a place nearby my work location. I am clean, social but like my privacy and respect others. I have no other issue except smoking. I work full time and can easily get along with people. I would like to either team up or move into an existing shared fully furnished accommodation. I love to watch movies and network socially. I am a self-confessed researcher so I will prefer a separate room in shared house because I often work late night in quite.
I have recently returned to Canberra after living for the last eight years in New Caledonia and I am looking to re-establish myself back in Australia. I am a 46 years old dad of two and I have been the primary parent for most of their lives. My children are currently in New Caledonia with their mum until the end of the school year so I am own my own. I'm a friendly and easy going person who looks and feels a lot younger than my age suggests..most of the time :) I am a photographer and like sport, especially soccer and AFL but nearly any sport will do. I am looking to get back to the gym once I am settled. I am working full-time, Monday to Friday, for a government department in Civic.
I'm a full-time professional who moved from Queensland at the beginning of last year for work. Giving up sunny beaches was tough but I really enjoy my work (economics/consulting), and the seasons are nice in ACT. I am very tidy, easy to get along with, and respectful of other peoples space. Some weeks I work fairly long hours, but like to relax and socialise on the weekend. I also like to go out to latin dance classes and play social basketball some evenings. Keen to meet some future housemate(s) soon and have a chat!
I'm moving back to Canberra after a stint in Sydney and I'm looking for a fun and friendly house. I work full time and I'd love to live with a group of pretty social housemates who make the Canberra winter bearable! I make a great chicken and leak pie, love chocolate and am quite clean and tidy too.
I'm a quiet 20 year old who works at the airport, and am looking for a place to stay until I can fulfil my dream of joining the air force, which could take anywhere between 6 months and 2 years. I'm a cyclist and runner in my spare time. I own a car, which I do not use much and am willing to lend out, but will need a place to store it. Apart from that, I'm just looking for somewhere to sleep and store my meagre amount of stuff, as well as cook.
Im a 21 year old Uni student I am friendly, but also know when to respect privacy and enjoy time alone Dedicated to work, but know when to relax; I am very neat and tidy, pay bills on time, and generally can look after myself. I'm also told I make good pancakes in the morning. I don't smoke, party, or have pets 🙂
Hi. We are two full time PhD students at ANU researching in the areas of ecology (Kelly) and primatology (Sarah). We are currently living in a townhouse in Lyneham but would like to move into a bigger (and warmer) house when our lease is up in mid-July, so are looking for someone to team up with us. We'd like to get a relatively decent place - up to $600 a week (max) for the total rent in the northern suburbs of Canberra. One of us is a vego and one is a vegan, one likes to have a wine at home and be a bit social and the other doesn't drink much, both like to have a chat and we are both friendly and easy going. One of us likes the gym the other likes bush walking, bird watching and yoga. We are both clean and tidy and especially respectful of shared areas. Looking for a like minded easy going tidy person to join us when we move. I have all the shared household furniture and kitchen items except for a dining table/chairs and outdoor furniture.
Hey there! I am Can Metan. I'll start my PhD in Computer Science soon and I'm looking for a place to call home. I am a very clean and trust-worthy guy. I quite enjoy cooking healthy meals and I'm quite sociable in general. While we can share a glass of wine every now and then, I don't drink every week and I certainly don't smoke. I will be working a lot this year (likely to get a job besides PhD) and I would love to have a roomie that can pull his / her own weight. Looking forward to hear from you!
