Hi I'm looking to share share short term from Jan 6 to March 31 with a possible extension to June and hopefully, beyond. So, I'm looking for somewhere with: A) month to month contract B) six month lease with a potential break lease at April 2, or C) a sublet I'm an APS worker and I've been spending my weekends chillin' and checking out Canberra's art scene. I like it here! There's so much on! The basic stuff: My budget is 250-300per week ex-bill's. I'm happy to share an apartment with one person or a house with two. Please only message me if your listing is within the suburbs I've specified, Cheers. Other good stuff: I'm not a party person and tend to keep quiet and friendly around the home. I'm a second-hand book store and tea-chat kind of person. I also like hikes and overgrown gardens. I'm tidy and will keep the house fresh and clean. I am a Queensland ring-in so this chilly spring weather has been a surprise! I will happily have a preemptive chat with you about heating and elect bills in case I'm around long enough to need it next year. One other thing: if you happen to be offering a) town a house b) a ground floor unit b) anywhere that's pet friendly and you've always dreamt of sharing your pad a handsome house panther...I know a guy. Cheers, Rose
I live in Sydney and commuting to Canberra weekly. I work full-time in the private sector at Belconnen - Canberra. I am a IT Project Manager. I drive to Belconnen on Monday morning and drive back to Sydney on Friday late afternoon. Basically, I only sleep in Canberra Mon-Thu. At this stage, it is likely to have this commuting routine for at least 6-12 months. I am a cheerful, friendly, responsible and cooperative person. I can cook Asian cuisines and enjoy a bottle of red wine with friends. I like classical music. I like tidy and clean room/house. I respect other people privacy and expecting the same. I am looking for place closer to Benjamin Way, Belconnen, so that I can walk to/from the office.

Hello! I am currently studying at the ANU (doing Masters in Applied Anthropology and Participatory Development). I also work as an English tutor for primary school kids. I have been in Canberra for about a year, after moving from Sydney. I'm originally from the Riverina. When I'm not panic-writing essays, I love being social, getting to know new people, cracking classic jokes and cooking up a storm. I also love hiding away in my room to watch something classy (example: Dancing Queens, Peep Show, 30 Rock, Incredibles 2 or conspiracy theory videos on YouTube). I'm pretty easy going in sharehouse, having lived in a couple over the years.I'm a tidy and respectful housemate - I don't mind cleaning. I think my hobbies would be cooking/eating, occasionally painting, reading and writing. I am looking for like-minded people. I would love to find a comfortable and relaxed home to come back to.
Hi future housemate! I'm Nick, I'm moving to Canberra to start a Masters at ANU in Philosophy. I'm generally pretty chilled around home - like to read, cook, watch movies and and hike in my down time. I've done a fair bit of travel in Australia and overseas, like a drink every now and again, love good company but also value my time alone. I've also lived in sharehouses for a while now so I know the drill and keep things pretty tidy! I've been living in Melbourne the past few years but I'm up in Sydney visiting family at the moment. Keen to come to Canberra to meet people and have a look at rooms between 20-22 Dec, and then staying in Canberra from the 2nd Jan. Otherwise I'm happy to chat over skype or the phone and a friend of mine has very generously offered to pop round to look at houses for me! Send along any questions you've got for me - looking forward to meeting you :)
Both myself and partner are looking for a place in Canberra to share potentially with one other person or couple. I am working in IT and studying. Michelle will be working 2 jobs and will be doing some study when she can. We're both pretty quiet people, enjoy getting outdoors and adventuring when we have any spare time. Usually, one of us will be working or studying. We are both easy going people and looking to move pretty much asap! we have some furnishing if needed, we've both been living together for the past 18 months. Ideally, We are chasing a place that has a bathroom/ensuite if possible. Thank you! Happy for you to swing me a txt to chat
I’m a easy going person, easy to talk to and have a chat. Sometimes just like to keep to myself. always clean up after myself and tidy in general. Mostly away on weekends. Main concern is I need a place to lock up my Dirt bike
Hi! We are a couple from Philippines with the age of 25 and 27 years old. Male and Female. Open to live with any age and gender. Both of us will work full-time. We'll be working in a restaurant around Bunda St. in North Canberra so we're prefer to stay around O'connor, Braddon, Aisnlie and Turner suburbs. we're looking for Furnished place and planning to rent for 6mos or so. Hope you to look for a place soon! :)
Hi! I am moving to Canberra and I will be working full time in the public service next year. I am friendly and easy to get along with. I enjoy cooking and will always clean up after myself. I enjoy my own time and I am also happy to socialize after work and on the weekends. I enjoy going running and doing yoga.
Hi! I am from Melbourne and moving to Canberra in February 2019 for a full-time graduate job at ANU. I am looking for a room to rent or people to share a place with. I enjoy swimming, binging Netflix and relaxing with friends. I like to go out with my friends and have a good time but mainly love to stay in and have a quiet night at home. I am open to sharing meals together and having a friendly roommate environment. I'll never say no to a chat! I'm happy to share chores around the house and keep communal spaces clean and tidy.
I'm an easy going guy who is new to Canberra. Coming from Perth after just graduating from Uni to work as an IT Analyst. I'm definitely more of a "let's have a night in" kinda guy. I enjoy chill nights watching Netflix and playing video games but I am happy to go out every so often to see what Canberra has to offer! I'm an absolute sucker for good food, especially when it's takeaway but I'll be trying to cook more to save money! I try to go to the gym a few times a week, but I'm not very good at motivating myself so having a gym buddy would be sweet as. I'm a bit of a tech nerd too (kinda why I'm working in IT) so if the WiFi goes down, I'm your guy. I'm looking for somewhere to stay (obviously) but I'm also looking to meet new people and to make some new friends! I'm aiming for a pretty chill group of people, not really after anyone who's going to be throwing house parties every weekend... The main thing I'm after is having my own room and bathroom, but my ideal place would also have easy access to public transport, parking for my car, fast internet and is close-ish to the shops and/or a gym. I've never lived with flatmates before but I'm genuinely keen to give it a try! Thanks!
Hello, my name is Nicole, 30, and I need to move to Canberra in January/February! I will be starting a PhD at ANU with a scholarship in March 2019. My discipline is sociology/gender studies. In 2018, I completed Honours in Melbourne, however I am originally from Newcastle, NSW. I am very excited to move to Canberra and I hope to find a clean and tidy house and some nice roomies. My budget is $150-$200. I would like to live within riding distance of the university and close to public transport and a grocery store. Ideally, I would like to move in to an already established share house which is already furinished and has kitchen/laundry facilities and utensils. Sufficient fridge/freezer space is also important as well as I like to batch cook and freeze meals. A well ventilated house would also be ideal (e.g. central heating/aircon), as I know Canberra gets cold in winter! Thanks for reading, and get in contact if you think I'll be a good fit!
I'm a psychology student moving up from Melbourne and working part time. I am looking for a place to call home for the year. I'm looking for a cosy, homely, green, and calm living space to share, preferably close to University of Canberra. Things I find myself doing often/ hoping to see myself doing often: yoga, reading, writing, spontaneous journeying, gardening, drumming, silent musing, cycling, looking at food recipes, going on irrelevant tangents. I'm not that loud nor like drink-brandishing parties and generally prefer interesting connections and conversations.
Hi, I'm Rhys I'm starting full time work at The Treasury, and I'm looking for a chilled out place in Canberra to live. Ideally, I'd like somewhere that's quiet and relaxed during the week, but open to having a glass of wine or a beer on the weekend.
I’m from a small country town couple of hours away, I love animals! I keep to myself I’m very tidy person. Stating to get into fitness while not at work :) I have said I do have pets, I’m hoping to be able to bring my dog with me but if not that will be fine ☺️
Hello :) My name is Manjari, originally from Melbourne, and I currently work full time in the Public Service. I'm friendly and always up for a chat/hanging out but understand the need for personal space! I'm clean and tidy by nature. **Warning: coffee snob, laughs at lame dad jokes and enjoys a netflix binge :)
Looking for a room in a friendly share house. I work full time at the National Museum. An outdoorsy type that likes music, books, bouldering and adventuring with friends. Like to cook, movie nights and chatting over tea.
