Hi, I will be graduating from UQ in December with a Bachelor of Engineering. So we, as a family are travelling to Brisbane to attend my graduation ceremony. Since I don't live in Brisbane anymore, just need a place for my family to stay for a week. We'll be out most of the day, so just need a decent place where my family can sleep in peace. Thanks
Hi Guys I'm Andy , originally from the UK but now have residency here in Australia. Looking for a room to rent in a nice friendly house hold . Ideally with people between the ages of 20-36 , prefer to share with females simply because they keep things clean and tidy and I just get on better with females than men but would be happy in a mixed house as well. I'm 30 yr old single male, I work as a full time mechanic , I go the gym everyday either before work or on my way back from work . I don't smoke or take any form of drugs and I'm not a big drinker on the whole but I do like to let my hair down once in a while. I'm a bubbly , fun character always up for a laugh and will go out of my way to help others. I like to get out and about on my days off either to the beach or a catch up with friends or have a bbq. I'm clean and tidy and respect other peoples privacy and possessions. Happy to cook for other people or help in any way I can I pay on time but have been known to pay early . Looking in both Brisbane area and the GC purely because my work is based in between . Happy to go in with someone on a new share house/apartment If you have any questions at all please get in touch :) Andy :)
Hello future housemate/s! Pleased to meet you! Come in, sit down and let me introduce you to both myself and Mr Domino. We are soon to be refugees as I have just sold my house on the Gold Coast and we're in limbo until I find the perfect new abode to purchase in either Brisbane or Gold Coast (this must be what it's like for women searching for the perfect pair of shoes - you now have my empathy). Facts about me: - 58% Introvert, 40% Extrovert and 2% Alien. - Fluent Sarcasm is my native tongue, being serious is being boring. - Thrive on daily barbaric and crude banter, if you're not laughing, you may as well be dead. - Often referred to as living like a gypsy in a hospital, few belongings and excessively clean. I all but own shares in Aldi surface wipes and IKEA lint-rollers. - Will avoid pubs, nightclubs, etc. like the plague, there's more to life than being inebriated. - Posess a large collection of colognes. Will not leave the bedroom without smelling like David Jones' cosmetics section. - Partial to flipping pages, not channels. Quite fond of documentaries and thought-provoking movies. - Afficianado of picking weights up and putting them back down on a daily basis - foregoing the ego. FAQ's So, Zeph, what do you do with your time? - Having worked in the coal mines for years, I'm now two years into a well-deserved sabbatical. Zeph, what do you like to do for fun? - Waking up each day with a clean slate is pretty fun - highly recommend it. Quite spontaneous in my demeanour, I will find joy in an array of things. Whether it's falling out of a perfectly good plane or reading self-improvement books whilst I apricate on the beach - I'm happy. Facts about Domino: - THE most awesome, placid and sweet natured dog there is - try not to steal him upon meeting him, I challenge you. - Will pull some impressive tricks, especially if the instructing human is offering an irresistible treat, or is an attractive female (my fault, he copied me). - Can play soccer better than any soccer team in the Southern Hemisphere (I can prove it). - Has an IQ that's higher than most humans I've encountered, never misses a trick. - Loves cuddles and lots of affection, I may be the softest Border Collie owner you'll ever meet. He has never been smacked/hit/abused in his life and it will remain that way. - Has barked a grand total of six times in his life, not sure why he even has a voice box. I secretly think he's a cat disguised as a dog. So, I am looking to rent a room, studio, part of a house, a tent, kitchen cupboard, a spare nook or cranny - so long as I can bring my toilet trained, heartthrob, handsome Domino with me. I am open to living anywhere south of Surfers Paradise or pretty much anywhere in Brisbane - send me a message if you think we tick the boxes for you, I'm flexible. With any luck, you're still awake after reading all of that. If so, thank you for your time!
Hey I'm geneva and I'm looking to join a share house near the city as I work two jobs there. I'm always up for some socialising but also love my quiet time and space. Feel free to ask me any questions you may have Looking for a stay 6 months or longer
Hi!I am a 28 years old laid back girl from Reunion Island. I just moved 3days ago to Brisbane,im currently looking for a Job in Hospitality. I dont smoke and i love to cook ,i really enjoy to spend some time with my flatmates.
Easy going, friendly travel professional on the lookout to team up for a move into the South Bank area and surrounding suburbs. I work pretty long hours between my day job and helping my family business in the evenings, so I actually won't be home for most of the day. I enjoy travelling, photography and music. I'm a non smoker and only drink on occasion. I enjoy a good conversation and am pretty outgoing, but I'm also very independent and can keep to myself if needed. About you: Just really looking for someone who is self sufficient, can pay rent on time, is clean around the house and a non smoker. I don't mind if you're a student, working professional or something in between. About the property: I'm ideally looking for a brand new and modern 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom apartment. I also have a car so will need a garage space. As my office sits on top of South Bank Station, the closer to South Bank the better. I have all my own furniture, so all you'll need to bring along is a bed. Should you not have one, I can also provide a double bed.
27 year-old journalism student at UQ searching for housemates around my age to live with who are fun, independent and socially like-minded. Despite also working, I'm always up for being social on weekends. I like to run, head on toadtrips out bush, great at cooking, currently do surf lifesaving on the Gold Coast, takes dance classes and despite being well-travelled to places like the US - have amazing stories to tell. Look forward to hearing from you!
Hello, we are a friendly and matured couple from Japan and Norway (29 - 31 years old). Since one of us will be graduating at the end of this year, we are looking for a clean and quiet place to live in a long term due to the expiry of current student accommodation contract. One of us is doing a first-year PhD and another is aiming to have a full-time job in Brisbane after graduation (will be applying for a TR visa). If we could rent two separate bedrooms at the same property, or a large ensuite master room where has direct bus access to the Griffith University Nathan campus, it would be ideal for us :)
I'm a clean, considerate and fairly quiet housemate, but I definitely love house dinners and going out and having fun. I work part-time at an alcoholic beverage seller and study full-time at QUT. I'm friendly so long as you are friendly to me.
Hi everyone :) I'm a quiet person, looking for an animal friendly place. I usually keep to myself, but I'm not against socializing. I'm known be be rather silly! I'm into art and technology. I love computers and video games. Dressing up and going to geeky conventions. I like making things - drawing, painting, sewing, knitting or any other random crafty thing I can think up. Binge watching anything to do with sci-fi and/or fantasy. :P I'm pretty laid back, not really into parties etc. Don't mind a shared meal or a drink once in a while over some board games. :) I come with a Jack Russell, Buffy, who wants to be your best friend. She loves people and other animals. If you have kids, she will wear them out so they go down for a nap! Also in tow is my tortie kitty, Siggy. She wants the cuddles (and food). Both are well behaved snugglemonsters! But wait, there's more! I also work with a wildlife rescue group, which means I take care of cute little furballs with built in pockets! Yep, that's possums! I rescue/rehab/raise orphaned or injured little ones until they are ready for release. :) I will be attending uni in the new year, to become a zookeeper/animal attendant. Please don't let this deter your judgement. The're pretty amazing! :D They're rather clean animals, and also are very clever and full of personality! I know it's a lot to ask in this crazy world we live in, but I'd be super grateful if there was an area where I could set up 2 cages. Either on the veranda or perhaps under the house if it's a QLDer style home? Pretty please? :) In return I can take you to a place where you can cuddle with baby roos and wallabies! :D
I'm a friendly 24 year old guy, who has just moved to Brisbane from the UK. I graduated University in 2014, since then i have done a fair bit of traveling in South America and Asia and am now here to see what Australia has to offer, I enjoy meeting new people of all nationalities and am very open minded. In my spare time I enjoy listening to music, watching sport and enjoying a beer with friends. I also love nature and wildlife. I am looking to stay in Brisbane until March/April time before heading down the East coast to visit friends and family.
My friend Karla and I are two relaxed Canadian girls! We love to travel and see the world. We both also prefer very clean houses so if you're a clean freak like us, we will get along just fine! We would prefer to have two separate bedrooms. If you have one bedroom available but will have a second one soon, that works for us too!
I've learnt to cook and clean for myself and to be of help around the house when asked. I'm in my final year of Uni (Bachelor of IT) so I'm close to having my part-time job turning full-time for me. I don't drink or smoke. My hobbies include video games, dungeons and dragons, and PC building.
Moved up to Brisbane 5 weeks ago short notice, started work the next day, working full time in fortitude as a digital marketer, 7.30am-5pm, Monday to Friday, currently living on Bribie island and travel is killing me. My iPhone has died of all the convenient times, will be fixed ASAP! I'm living off email from iPad, apologies
Hi everyone! My name is Anna. I am very active. I do a lot of sports, will definitely need a fitness club near by. I will always respect your privacy. I am friendly and tidy. I work as an English teacher and love my job :-)
21 year old female from NZ, looking for a place to call home. Hospitality worker and quite social so hardly ever home. If theres anything you need to know just give me a message :)
I am a quite and I like to think quite responsible for my age. I work between 20-40 hours a week on average as a waitress at a cafe in the city. I am looking to find a nice friendly place that my plant collection and I can call home. I also have an interest in records and anything that comes from between the 60s to the 80s. I can be somewhat shy at first but once you get to know me I can be great company. In my spare time I can be found rock climbing at urban climb in west end. I also love art with my favourite mediums being graphite, charcoal or watercolour however I am experimenting a bit with pastels. I am currently on a working gap year but intend on taking up study some time in the future. Anything anyone would like to know feel free to message me I am interested in joining an established sharehouse or teaming up and finding one with a couple of other people.
I am extremely tidy and clean person to live with. I love cooking so would appreciate a nice kitchen. I enjoy an occasional drink not a party animal but nothing wrong with a glass or two wine and music on a Friday night. I am a English woman travelling Australia currently finishing my east coast looking for somewhere to live over Christmas while working to save and then go off and do the west coast. I love healthy living exercise, good food, live for sunny days at the beach and the occasional lie in on a Sunday.
I'm looking to make a move to Brisbane to study. I am clean and sociable, but also like to keep to myself when I am studying. I will also be working casually so I probably won't be in the house very much.
Professionally employed single dad looking to share rent. I travel overseas 50-60% of the time and when I am in Australia I have twin boys who spend Fri & Sat nights with me.
Hello! We are a couple (Australian and American) who have been living in the USA for the past few months. We are about to come back to Australia (on November 17) and we are looking for somewhere awesome!!! We really want to make friends in our new house as we are leaving a lot of ours behind here. Any orientations, preferences, or identities are a-okay with us. We like a beer, a glass of wine, and cooking. We aren't huge partiers, so we are looking for housemates who are just down to chill, watch an episode of something or play some board games. We no longer smoke but if you do, it's not a deal breaker for us. While we are health conscious, we are not vegetarian or vegan but if you are, please let us know so we can make sure we respect your kitchen and food area :) We do own a very friendly small-medium dog (a Kelpie mix named Chia) who is currently at her grandparent's place. She is an outside dog and prefers to stay outside as she is a rescue dog. Ideally we would like a space with a backyard that accepts pets or already has pets, but we understand it's difficult. She gets very spoiled there so it's not an issue if you do don't allow animals. I'm a hospitality veteran and Mike works in software development so he uses his computers a lot. I am also studying Journalism online and I'm in my final stages, so that keeps me pretty busy when I'm not working. I hope to start a placement soon after I graduate, so I'll be out a lot. I am more than happy to pay upfront for the bond and four weeks rent (inc. utilities) if you are interested in taking us. Since we are coming back from the States we have no furniture at all; so if you're moving and need to get rid of yours, please let us know! Even just a bed would be a great help. We look forward to meeting you :) Mike and Tayla
I'm 27, from England and a scuba diving instructor that currently works in construction in the city. I love being outdoors scuba diving surfing, mountain climbing & playing sports. I'm looking for somewhere nice and chilled to stay, not a party house.
Hey! My name's Tobias and my partner (Melinda) and I are on the scope out for shared housing. We've been renting on our own for the last 2yrs and more recently the last 6months leased a 2 and a half bedroom house on our own. We've come to realisation that we don't need this much space as we both work full time hours and love to head off for the weekends, constantly exploring. We both work on the north side so we are looking at City & Northern Suburbs but we're excited for an adventure and would be willing to give anything a look. Our lease runs out Dec/Jan so we would be looking to move in around this time. If you would like to catch up with us via coffee and get to know us we'd love to hear from you. Cheers
I am moving to Brisbane at the end of the year and looking for a team- up, room/ house/flat to rent. Looking for either guys or girls between the ages of 25-35. I am fairly quiet (until you get to know me), easygoing, like alone time and also up for a chat and a social drink. I have shared houses with people before and still remain very good friends with them. I am respectful of other people's things and I would like the same. I don't drink much or go out much, just out here and there for outings etc. with friends for coffee, brekky dates, dinner and others. I'm also keen on a backyard barbie and a few drinks with some music. I am clean but not a clean freak but like it if we help each other out and I am understanding if you need a break. I'd like a place to call home and feel comfortable living. I work in education and I won't be working over the Christmas holidays and am applying for jobs however I will have an income over the holidays. I also am into fitness and looking for someone to either workout too or show me some areas. I am happy to help out around the house and buy my own food and so forth. I will have my own bed.
Hi there, I´m a Spanish teacher and also an international student from Spain. I´m very easy going and super organized girl. I love read, cook, long walks, watch TV series and ride my bike everywhere. I have shared a house before when I was living in USA so I´m aware about the importance of keeping the house clean and respect each others spaces. I will study in order to improve my English and also work part time.
I'm super independent, honest, clean and responsible! Looking for a room to rent as I am going to University next year. I really want to bring my dog with me, she is a 5 month old English Staffy. She is super behaved (took her to puppy school!) and just the most beautiful most loyal dog. I am also ALWAYS willing to give a hand around the house.
looking for a room to move into asap as my lease is finished. I would prefer somewhere along Northside or around the city as I currently work in carseldine and I would like somewhere near transport :) I'm reliable and very easy going.
I am a holistic practitioner in my 30s moving to Brisbane for a graduate degree (the course starts in November so looking to find a place by the 7th) and looking for a private room, preferably larger size, furnished or semi-furnished, with an ensuite ideally. My preferred move in date is on or before Thursday 3rd November. I have an affectionate mostly indoor elderly cat, who sleeps all day, so I am looking for somewhere pet-loving. He gets along with other pets, mostly by ignoring them! I am into a healthy vegetarian lifestyle, live music, markets, the arts, a serious film buff & cafe lover, love my down time, but also a good chat and an occasional outing. Also love gardening, so access to a yard or leafy verandah would be lovely...If this sounds like a fit give me a shout, thanks!
Hi, I'm Ed, a business consultant working in the infrastructure sector (tunnels, roads, schools, that sort of thing). I'm Australian, from Sydney originally, but don't hold it against me. I'm reasonably self aware and go out of my way not to be a dick to others. This means I pay bills on time, I can read the room when you don't want to chat/ want to be left alone, and I'm fairly clean and tidy. With that prosaic stuff out of the way, I'm otherwise keen to sort out world issues over a beer or two, am a fan of absurdist comedy and also like to cook, time permitting.
Hello! I will be heading back to full-time uni at QUT changing my course to a Bachelor of Mass Communication (Entertainment and Media & Communication). I am a very positive gal, who loves keeping active, the beach and anything to do with art and music. I am a very tidy person, always clean up after myself and respect shared areas. I love socialising and exploring parts of the city but also like having private down time. I am looking for an apartment in a great location, sharing with mainly all females.
I'm a musician. Female, 24. I'm quiet but am social. I have a lap dog (Mini Foxie x Corgi), she's house trained & desexed. She is fine around children and strangers, just not so much with other dogs. She has been brought up as an inside dog. I am also full-time studying via distant ed. so WiFi is a must. I'm a non-smoker, single & no children.
I am fitness instructor, personal trainer and yoga teacher in training who is new to city. I love all things fitness related and am very active most days. I am also studying, so during the week I am pretty focused on work and study and tend to be quite busy during the week. I am clean and tidy. I mainly cook at home during the week (nothing extravagant) and enjoy a brunch out at the weekend. Enjoy the occasional glass of wine (or 2) at weekends. Am looking to rent a room, preferably with own bathroom (not essential) in central location. Happy to share with male/ female. Ideally someone who is similar to me, busy but sociable.
Hi I am a french Canadian girl on a working holiday visa and I am planning on finding a job in Brisbane! Therefore, I am looking for a room, preferably a private room, somewhere near the CBD. If possible, I would be interested in staying in a complex including facilities like laundry, pool and gym. 150$/week would be my ideal budget. I am a very respectful, clean and organized person. Feel free to contact me if you think you might have the room I am looking for :) Please note that I have no access to early bird, please leave me your email or phone number!
Hi All, My name is Shaun and i've just come back from my last adventure overseas. I've decided to pack up my stuff and move to a new state and see what Brisbane has to offer. My first profession is a qualified chef and the second being a thermit welder in the rail industry. Travel is my biggest passion having been to 5 continents and 37 countries so far. I love everything outdoors from hiking, camping, road cycling, running and so much more. If you feel like i could be your next friend and flat mate i look forward to hearing from you :)
Hey! ** not looking to share a room with anybody, only wanting a private room** My name is Shay and I am a Canadian, and I will be coming to Australia in November for a working Holiday Visa for 1 year, at the moment just want to be able to live somewhere month to month and can leave within 1 months notice. I also need to be living somewhere where I can access downtown Brisbane easily via public transit, I will have no car. I am a honest, hard working girl and am really jazzed about this new adventure. I am a very clean and organized person and need to live with people who value cleanliness. I also smoke, only outdoors and very clean about, you probably would never even know I was a smoker. I also need to stay somewhere that is fully furnished, as i do not have any furniture and wont be investing in much. A little about myself? I love a good time as the next person but I also really value peace and quiet and privacy. I want to live with people like minded to myself, who enjoy their night outs but are not defined by partying every night! Please contact me if you think we would be a good fit!!
Hey everybody, I am Lucrezia I'm 17 and I'm actually studying here in Brisbane city since few months. I will frequent the last year of school next year and I'm planning to return in Australia to do that, after coming back to my country,Italy, in December. I really enjoyed the Aussie lifestyle and my course of studies here. I study economics, accounting, law and history, and I hope to take an economics uni course here in Australia for a while. My stay here has been incredible and I met amazing people on my way that completely changed my life, and I hope that so did I. I believe in sharing, good friendships and kindness between every relation and in treating each other with the maximum respect. Besides that, I'm a lot of fun and im very easy to get along with and to build a good friendship with, that I hope will last further my stay! I have great cooking skills and, yes, I make a fantastic pizza and I'm always up to throw a pizza party for everyone who wants it. I am very sportive and pretty much into discovering new places and camping whenever there is the chance! If I find an accommodation for my plan to return here next year, the dates would be from the end of January 2017 to the end of November 2017. Hit me up if you want to know more about me and if you're interest have me as flat mate!
I'm an international student from the UK on exchange at UQ. I'm currently living in West End and am looking for somewhere smaller to live (i'm living in a v.big house atm). I'll be moving out soonish but I'm going travelling for a bit - I'll be back in Bris around the 12th Jan and may be off again, so I'm not sure on what exact dates I want to move just yet - around the 12th or end of Jan. I looove cleanliness so clean people are a must (trust me - my current house has 28 people in and the mess is so annoying!). I enjoy a night out but as I'm coming to learn I love a good night-in, with a bottle of wine and good company. Not really too good at describing myself, but I love meeting new people and definitely want to live somewhere sweeeeet :) but as cheap as possible :)) lovvvee animals espc cats hehe im a light smoker yus but always outside (ofc) and im really hoping to try quit vvvv.soon xoxo

I'm a very easy going bloke, tidy and clean. I've had a rather diverse life experience, having grown up in Cairns, studied in Brisbane, worked in Singapore for my first professional job in the landscaping industry at age 21. I moved from Singapore to Sydney for my first job as a Bush Regenerator in the Western Sydney region. I'm a well spoken individual who recognises boundaries and avoids contention. My ideal place has wooden features (esp. Floors), space, a nice kitchen, natural light and either a veg. patch or community garden nearby. Known for my chefery and humour, I love plants, gardening and animals. Exploring natural landmarks, food and just hanging out on the weekend/down time.
Hey! My name is Sebastian and I recently graduated from an undergrad degree which I was doing on the Gold Coast. I will be back in Australia on the first week of February for my masters coursework and I am looking for a room or a teamup for a new property in Brisbane. Will probably be working part-time as well. I love have people around me to do activities with, but also enjoy having my private space to relax so as a roommate I would be up for house meals and trips as well as just relaxing home. I love being outdoors, specially on the beach and in the water. If not you will find me playing volleyball! I'm clean and will look after myself and the place as well. I have no problem getting along with people, enjoy talking to anyone. Let me know if you have a place I could take up in your property or if you would like to start a teamup!
