Hi I'm Sarah, a full time Marketing Manager who loves to keep active and prefers to spend the weekends out socialising and enjoying the Brisbane lifestyle – whether it be trying a new café/restaurant or going to the markets to grab fresh produce. Very respectful and quiet, as I’m hardly home… but I’m sociable and always up for sharing a meal and wine together whilst watching Bachie! Looking for a place around Newstead/Hamilton that is a homely haven to relax after a long work week. I have most furniture and appliances for a whole apartment (everything but a fridge atm) so would probably prefer to team up or a place that I can utilise some of my furniture. I'd prefer my own bathroom (I'm a girl - lots of stuff! haha) and a car space, as I drive for work. I take pride in keeping a very tidy and clean house – so looking for the same in a roommate who will also be a non smoker, respectful of other people and their property and keep a clean house. Allergic to cats, so unfortunately cannot be in a household with any cats.
Hey, I'm a kind, fun, creative dude. Love cooking, (wouldn't mind sharing cooking sometimes) health and fitness, the outdoors, music and socialising. Got a little espresso machine and a little record player. Currently learning guitar and vocals so a musical or creative household would be ideal! I'm super tidy and would like to join a tidy house. Very organised guy so i'm all over them bills. Otherwise really chill. Looking for a place with air con (ideally in the room), a dishwasher, multiple bathrooms or ensuite and hopefully a pool! Ideally an apartment close to a train station too. sidenote: I can't do cats. Allergic. I'm pretty chill about smokers and I don't mind the occasional spliff but I don't enjoy stoner houses tbh.
I am having a seachange right now, leaving my life at the sunny coast to start fresh pursuing a more fulfilled lifestyle of yoga and dance and hard work. I will be looking for a peaceful, clean and welcoming space at home in order to relax and recharge for the amount of time I will be spending away from home either working or dancing. I am entering a new space where I want to discover myself again and make healthy positive connections with others. Its enough for my future roommate to be on a similar journey, with their main goal being consistent self improvement. I need to be around aimilar motivated and physically fit people. If we can provide a safe space for ourselves and the people we invite in (friends and family welcome) then I think we will make great housemates. Respect is a huge thing for me also, I give it and so expect it in return. I will endeavour to tell you what I think about things and expect you to do the same. Especially if its something I'm doing thats bothering you. People need to learn how to discuss and negotiate without emotional attachment and thats a big lesson for me to take on. If you have trouble being honest or taking things personally and you errupt emotionally rather than taking a practical stance to better yourself, then you need not go any further with me. I a calm natured, caring girl who is slightly confused at the world and is trying to find her two feet here. I enjoy the simple things like a well composed song or a trip to the beach or a walk around the block to ckear the lungs. I like exploring and trying new things. I will be pursuing dance and yoga a lot over the next few years and taking time for self growth in all areas of life. I enjoy shows and movies such as game of thrones, the walking dead, brooklyn 99, Altered carbon, game night. I can find dark things humerous and am fairly dry at times. Sometimes I have trouble being sensitive to others but am trying to work on that and will need a little patience and understanding that I mean no harm. I couldn't hurt a fly. I am usually very closed and to tell this much about myself is not the norm. Fyi lol
Easy going girl from Germany. I like to have a drink sometimes but Im not a party animal.
Hi! I'm Sumieka, a 19 year old student studying childcare full time at tafe. I'm neat, quiet and keep to myself most of the time but I'm always keen for movie nights, game nights or anything that might take your fancy. I love animals but don't own any and I'm a non smoker however smoking doesn't bother me :) Im orginally from a small town in northern NSW. I'm looking for anything preferably $13- $150 or max $175 if bill are included, don't mind sharing with males or females and I'd prefer to live with people under 30, but it's not a deal breaker. I don't own a car so parking is not needed. :)
Originally from New Zealand, Marbs and I are basically 10/10 roommates if you're not allergic to cats. Dual-degree working professional, I travel occasionally for work. Weekends are likely spent traveling up or down the coast in my van surfing, otherwise keen for a few drinks/adventure/activities if local. Clean, considerate & fun! Flexible on price and move-in date for the right place.
Hi there! My name’s Hannah and I’m studying nutritional medicine part time as well as working at a local bulk food store and a cafe in New Farm. I love to take care of my health and the environment through my lifestyle, and am excited to find the two are becoming more entwined via my work and study. I’m on my way to living more minimally, though I love plants, great art, and groovy second-hand finds. I enjoy going to the markets each week, spending time in the sun at the park or in the garden, as well as cooking and enjoying my space at home. I’m looking for somewhere I can study but that feels homely and friendly, and where, as housemates, we’re a little family of sorts. I’m very tidy and a considerate housemate, and I’m big on morning routine, preferring to be productive in the morning and kick back in the evenings, so am looking for a room with heaps of natural light. I also love shared dinners, a glass of wine (or gin and tonic when needed) and a chat at the end of the day. If you have a space you think would suit me, please swing me a message - I’m looking forward to hearing from you! Hannah
***UPDATE - I will be overseas from 20th Jan to 10th Feb so will have delayed response times during this period**** My name is Jess, nice to meet you! I’m 26 and a Paramedic Student at QUT. My current place is being sold and so I'm looking to move somewhere near Enogerra / Newmarket (close to train and bus) by the 25th Feb 2019. I’m friendly, clean and respectful - hopefully you are too! Life is pretty busy at the moment with study, casual work and volunteering (plus some exercising and socialising squeezed in), so I'm looking for an easy going house where I can relax and feel at home. As far as share houses go, I've had some really good ones and made some great friends along the way. I'm happy to socialise with you - board game nights, housemate dinners /drinks etc. are always fun. I will also give you your space when you want it. I always pay bills on time, pick up after myself and help keep communal areas clean. If you would like to know more please feel free to swing me a message :) Cheers, Jess
Easy going independent male, clean and tidy. Like to stay active and fit. Work nights...would generally like to find a flatmate who I connect with so that also a friendship can be formed.
I am a clean, positive, open minded and fun individual. I am hoping to be apart of a friendly and open home environment where I can respect the space of others and also enjoy conversations with my fellow flatmates. I enjoy playing the guitar, preparing good food and talking about the day with a good dose of humour. I especially love pets and outdoor spaces. I will be arriving back from exchange in Amsterdam and will be looking for a comfortable and friendly place to live whilst undertaking my Honours thesis in Environmental Science at UQ. *Additional note: in the case that 2 rooms are available, I have a twin sister who would be open to taking an additional room where possible! :)
I'm a great communicator and always up for a laugh/chat/beer. I'll make you food when you're hungover, and always change the toilet roll. A good listener with a compassionate nature, I respect the workings of a share house after years of experience. Originally from Melbourne, I've acclimatised to Brisvagas since my arrival just under two years ago. With a career change from corporate to hospitality, I love working directly with people and giving them their caffeine fixes. Their transformation and joy is a daily occurance😄 There are days I'm productive and focussed, and other times I win Best on Couch in my activewear. It's called balance.
Hi, I'm Tamara and I'm dutch. I still live in Amsterdam, but will move to Brisbane to start a new adventure soon. Easy going, tidy, sociable are 3 words that would describe me best. I always lived with room mates, so I can say I'm pretty familiar with the whole room mate atmosphere. In general I always try to make sure that I'm considerate of my room mates and also leave a nice environment for them. I love having drinks (alcoholic and non-alcoholic) and couch sessions with my roomies, altho I can also enjoy some alone time to recharge my batteries. Next to that I'm always up for board games! Currently I'm working as a product manager for a sustainable fashion brand, but I feel like a new challenge. That's why I decided to leave my job and country to start fresh in Australia. Please note I'm not a back packer. I'm looking for something long term and built something.
Hi I am looking for a new wonderful place to call home and housemate/s that I hope will be the start of a great friendship. I already have an amazing place in Newstead but my roommate is unfortunately heading overseas. If you have furniture I can continue the lease otherwise I am thinking of moving elsewhere in Newstead or Tennerife area. I love being outdoors in nature so I would preferably love a place near the river or with some view of nature. Even houseplants would be nice haha. Also a pool is a must which I will be making good use of in summer and aircon in the room would be much appreciated if available. If the bills are included that is also a big plus for me. One less thing to worry about. I am not often home though so don't use a lot of utilities. I am usually out most evenings doing gym or eating out with friends and the same on the weekend. Either going to the beach or somewhere in nature. I would be more than happy for my new housemate/s to join me for any of these activities or hang out watching a movie/Netflix possibly with a wine at home. I work as a psychologist in a health retreat and also nanny one day a week. I am very easy going, friendly and tidy. I enjoy a good chat but also respect space. I also enjoy reading and just getting into some creative stuff which I may retreat to my room to do at times. I have accomodation until early March if need be so flexible with move in dates. Please don't hestitate to contact me to have a chat. Lea.
I will be moving to Brisbane at some point in February, as I'm still waiting for my 407 Visa. I would prefer a place close to the city center, as I will be working there. I am looking for a quiet place where privacy is not an issue, hopefully not too small and not too hot hopefully. Ideally with a fast internet connection and plenty of light, I am not a fan of gloomy places. As for myself, I am a PhD student in computer science coming from Athens, Greece. I am going to be in Brisbane for 5 months for an internship, so most of my weekdays will be spent at work, but I still would love to meet people who would be willing to go out for a drink and explore the city with me during the weekend (especially the beaches). I really love music - I try to play the guitar from time and time and I'm also trying to learn how to sing at the moment. I also enjoy drawing, reading or just watching movies or series to chill before going to bed. However, I mostly enjoy the sun and being outdoors for a walk or coffee, I really can't handle staying inside for too long. I really love cats and dogs even more, so if you have a pet it would be a great plus for me!
I'm very quiet and clean. Would love to meet people and make friends however need my own time as well. I used to be an engineer but quit a few years ago and started studying art. I work fulltime and won't be home most of the days.
I’m a 26 year old professional recruiter working full-time in Brisbane CBD. I’m an easy going, social and respectful person. I work pretty long hours so in my free time I enjoy getting outdoors, playing football, mountain climbing / hiking and spending most weekends of summer at the beach or travelling. I’m ideally looking for a new place for at least 6-12 months (longer the better).
Clean. Friendly. I cook delicious food. Work full time so I'm only home mornings, evenings and weekends. Vegetarian. Enjoy TV shows, movies and books. Have a fairly new car so would prefer off street parking Love pets but don't have to have one of my own.
Very happy bubbly girl, love adventures and sports. Very respective of others and clean. Have most necessary furnishings eg, fridge, washing machine, I also have a queen and a double bed available. (So big expensive furnishing will happily be provided). I am a cheerleader and also study sport science at qut. I love animals and pasta 🙂 I’m looking for a respectful person that is interested in looking for and renting a new place with myself.
