Hi! I'm Callum a 25 year old traveller on a WHV from England. I'm looking for a place until the end of Feb, then I'll be off to do my regional work. I work full-time 9-5 as a property claims consultant, so I will be fairly quiet during the week. I'm always ready to enjoy a pint or 2 at the weekend though! I am a tidy individual, and more than willing to pull my weight around the house.
Hi, My name is Henrique. I’m 35 years old. I am looking for a quiet house to live. I’m organised, responsible and clean. I work mostly in hospitality and study fitness so I am rarely home. My ideal share house would be close to the city and living with other working/studying, like minded people who value a quiet, clean house over parties and constant guests.
I'm from the UK, currently living in Melbourne and wanting to find a home and also a group of friends! I enjoy wine (most alcohol really), food, music, glitter and having a good chat. I am looking for a house with a good atemosphere, cooking, watching films and drinking together! Ed works full time as a mechanic and spends his spare time in the gym. He is partial to a drink or two at the weekends but is very sensible during the week.
Hey there, I'm South African, 37 yo, been in Melbourne about a month now. I'll be here until the middle of next year at the very least, hopefully longer. I'm currently working as a bicycle tech while mulling over more career orientated work options: either a PhD or a position in an environmental consultancy role. About me: My background is in the natural sciences, working as an ecologist at the University of Cape Town. I've been on a sabbatical for the last year, fulfilling a dream of cycling up Africa. The second part of the dream was to live in a new city for a couple of years, so here I am! I'm excited to be here and looking for a place to settle so I can get properly stuck into a new life here. I'd consider myself easy going, uncomplicated, neat and tidy, and totally happy to pull my weight around the house. I wouldn't say I'm the life of the party, but I can wiggle my extremities if the mood strikes me. Honestly, I'm more comfortable at home with friends, good food and conversation...and maybe a board game, some friendly banter. I enjoy a drink and good conversation and I'm partial to a good book or series. Don't mind a bit of cooking either. I'm happiest outside though, doing something active. Specific outdoor interests include rock climbing, hiking, cycling, surfing, kayaking, camping etc. I'm keen to get involved in those activities, with others, as I settle into a Melbourne routine. Hope I get to meet you :) Sam
Hey guys, I'm Jake, and I'm moving to Melbourne (from Vancouver, Canada) for a working holiday in November. My company has a WeWork space that I'll try to go to most days, but I work remotely, so a place with decent wifi would be ideal! I'm super clean and easy going, and looking to meet people to explore the city with. Some things I like to do are: - Drink beer - Bike (around the city or on mountains) - Snowboard/Longboard - Play guitar/make music - Hang out at the beach - Play sports Shoot me a message if it sounds like we'd be a good fit!
My partner and I are looking for a room to rent preferably around St Kilda or south Yarra with a budget of around $1000 a month negotiable. I work at a bar in Prahran and my partner works offshore in WA and is rarely home. Both quiet, clean and considerate with easy to get along with personalities. We have a car that we would require parking for and my partner is allergic to dogs so houses with inside pets won’t be suitable for us. He flies to work on Friday for 5 weeks so looking to move in before the end of the week if possible. Feel free to message or call me for any other questions or to arrange a meeting
Hi, I'm Giuliana, looking for a longer-term place to call home in a sharehouse with another 2 or more people. About me: During the week I work 8.30-5, 4 days per week at a university library, and spend 2-3 nights a week at yoga. Aside from yoga, I love hiking, camping and nature connection, travel, cooking (and eating!), motorbike riding, spending quality time with friends and family, veggie and herb gardening; so would love a place with a decent sized backyard with a veggie garden, or the space for one as well as for composting; all the better if there are housemates who'd like to share in this as it's more fun that way, plus I have a lot more to learn! Who I am and what I’m seeking: I'm a thoughtful, open-minded, respectful, grounded, tidy, sustainability-focused person looking to share with other gentle, caring people with similar values; and amongst all of that sharing a healthy dose of humour is most welcome. I'm looking for a longer-term share house (which is why I’ve written so much!) so it's important to me to find a place with people where we can create a healthy household dynamic; which can only really come through clarity in communication. While this can be difficult at times and we’re all learning, it’s super important for me and the people I share with to be willing to try to communicate openly, gently and respectfully to the best of our abilities. I have a fulfilling social life, however I'd really like to live with others who are more than just people I live in the same house with; I'd like to share communal meals and chats regularly. However I also need alone time, and am respectful of other people’s need for that also. I'm currently used to preparing my own meals and composting, but am very open and welcoming to communal living and food sharing. I'm not vegetarian or vegan, but I rarely eat meat and I've happily lived with vegans and vegetarians before. About the house: In terms of the house itself, some things I’d really like (though not essential, unless there’s none of them) are: - Gas stove top (for cooking! Electric or induction are a bit limiting) - Undercover parking for my motorbike (I have a cover for it, but much easier to just park under something) - A backyard that gets some sunlight and has, or has space to grow herbs and veggies (even if it’s just concrete that you can put plant pots on) - An older house with character, with larger rooms and more natural light (I’m not a big fan of those townhouses going up all over the place) - I’m particularly interested in moving to Thornbury, Preston, Fairfield, Northcote, North Fitzroy (not necessarily in that order), but surrounding suburbs like Ivanhoe, Alphington, Brunswick East and Coburg may also be suitable. I have a mish-mash of furniture including a fridge (oldish), and a washing machine (newish). I'm willing to shed what's not needed though as most of it I've collected along the way from family and friends. I have some lovely indoor plants which I'd love to share with my new housemates as some of them are little big for the bedroom! I don’t have a particular date I need to be out of my current place by, but I’d ideally like to have at least 2-3 weeks notice so my existing housemate has a chance to find a new sharer also. Would love to hear from you if you think I'd suit your share home.
Hello. I’m an early childhood educator originally from the Philippines. I am low maintenance, I mind my own business, and clean up after myself. If you feel like chatting for hours, I am game, but if you prefer some peace and quiet, I will give you your space. I’m easygoing.
I'm moving up from Tassie to study. I am really laid back, easy to get along with and keep a tidy space. I run obsessively and keep to a fairly clean diet although I can, and will, definitely sink beers if the situation calls for it. Am studying at Swinburne so need to be close by or close to a train or tram station for easy access. Am really looking forward to getting out of Tassie and can't wait to meet a heap of new people in the process of finding a place! Cheers.
My name is Marco, 27 from Florence, Italy. I'm a PhD student with a scholarship at the University of Melbourne. I am a friendly person, I like cooking, meeting new people and having fun together. I like sport. I do not smoke.
I'm easy-going, very clean no matter my own space or public area. I love cooking and good at any topics talking, love to meet new friends but not holding party all the time. I had stayed in Melbourne for a month before am looking forward to moving back again at the end of this year.
Yummy and I are a very happy and open couple. He is originally from Melbourne but currently lives in qlds. I'm from Germany and after travelling the world for the past year I decided that i want to study community developement in Australia. My studies start in February and until then we are looking for a place to spend the summer togeher in melbourne. We are both very passionate, creative and fiery people and communication is very important to us. We are very clean and relaxed to live with. Yummy is a chef and musician and i am a yoga teacher and dancer. We LOVE cooking together, everyday. Usually vegan/vegetarian as i'm a veggie :) Other than that we have many other passions, like making music, dancing, writing, painting, creating our own clothes, fire spinning and spending time with our amazing friends. We have a lot to give and we would be happy to find a cozy place with flatmates who appreciate our energy! Love & Light Natascha
About me: I am a 27 y.o musician working full time in hospo and trying put a band together. Also thinking of joining school comming year for my trade qualifications but not sure. Love to cook, play bass guitar, ride bikes, travel and am always up for chat whenever. Over all chilled and clean guy.
I'm 26 (27 by the time I'll move in) and moving interstate to Melbourne for work! I've lived in Sydney all my life so not only am I on the look out for a little corner of the world to stay with some roommates, but some new friends would be all the better! Most nights I'm happiest with a quiet night in reading or watching something silly on TV, Netflix or Stan, but I'm also up for a party on the odd occasion. I've heard Melbourne is known for its food and music scene so I'm keen to explore too!. I can cook about a grand total of two dishes from scratch (mini quiche and Oreo truffles) so it's safe to say I won't often be hogging the kitchen to cook. Microwave meals are my go-to dinners but happy to experiment and learn if communal eating is your roomie thing. Equally happy to just have a chat and debrief the day while you eat your gourmet meal and I eat my boring food! :) I work in the music/teaching fields, so you'll probably find me humming a tune or playing my keyboard (with the headphones in, don't worry!) every now and then. Living with other creatives would be the dream! I like to keep fit by either jogging in my local area and joining adult dance classes after work. I also love chocolate, cats, and board games.
Hey everyone, I’m looking for a private room around Brunswick area or somewhere that’s close by, to move in by the end of this month at the latest, I'm a pretty laid back person and won't bother your personal space but I'm also down for a chat or a few drinks here and there. Looking for a clean and respectful environment. I am gender, pet and smoke friendly. My budget is somewhere from $140-190/w. If you have any suggestions that ticks the boxes please contact me on facebook! Thank you xx. Feel free to contact me via phone and yeah, thanks
We are both easy going mature minded people looking for somewhere suitable to work location. We are looking for a studio/Bungalow/ flat. We are both friendly and very considerate and enjoy making new friends.
I am a very warm-hearted and humble person, currently working full-time and looking for a place to move in by the 25/11/18. Either drinking a beer or YouTubing baby sloths in my spare time. I do like to keep to myself most nights but am always up for a chat :) LGBT+ friendly and very respectful of peoples privacy and keeping a home clean. Able to pay my bills on time and can cook up a reall sweet bowl of microwave mac n cheese.
I am a newly graduated nurse moving to Melbourne. Quiet, clean, friendly and open-minded. I'm vegan but don't mind living with people who aren't. Looking for a home, not just people who co-exist. & hoping to find a relaxed household that doesn't mind having people over - although I am not a big partyer. Currently teaching myself french, and into hiking, spontaneous adventures and circus arts :) (And I loveeee dogs and cats.)
Hi guys, my name is George, I'm 24. I came to Australia to study in Brisbane and now that uni is over I want to live and work for a while in Melbourne. Why Melbourne? Since it's the cultural hub of Australia and the hipster-place-to-be(which is right up my alley) I want to experience the city and its people and not only stay there for a few days. So my plan is to stay for around 2 months(maybe longer, let's see how things turn out). For work I want to get into hospitality, I have been working the last two years as a bartender in Germany and I would love to get back at it. Just totally adore working and chatting with people in this environment. Some more background on me: Originally I'm from Russia but now studying material science and engineering in Germany. At the moment my hobbies are playing the guitar, singing in a choir(preferably new pop-songs and not only ancient stuff), ballroom dancing, boxing and going out for a run. I would love to continue doing some of this stuff in Melbourne but I'm also totally down to try out new things Before coming to Australia, the past 6 months, I have lived in Munich in a shared house with 6 roomies and I would love to live in a shared flat/house again. I like hanging out with my roomies, having a beer or cooking and having dinner together. I mean we don't have to become best friends(but which would be cool), but I'd like to have roomies who don't try to actively avoid the other roommates and enjoy the company of others. so a family-like environment would be totally awesome
Masters mechatronics engineering student at uniMelb. I'm some one who enjoys having a laugh every now and then. I'm a Big fan of sports, enjoy working out, a FIFA legend. I believe I'm a friendly person in general. I'm neat and like to tidy up things especially areas I share with others. Usually at uni most times during the semesters.
