Hello, I'm a very friendly and tidy second year Arts student at the University of Melbourne, originally from Sydney. I'm looking for somewhere to live until mid/end of June this year, and would love a quiet furnished place that's within walking distance to uni. I also work and volunteer as a tutor so will be out and about quite often, but happy to have a chat if we're in at the same time.
My name is Nat, I'm a 24 y/o kiwi gal moving to Melbourne on the 22nd. A bit about me- I am a recent Master of Arts grad and enjoy a few cheeky wines, spontaneous adventures, drinking far too much coffee, I love music, am fairly social and a very reliable flatmate. As I'm moving countries I'm not only looking for a place to live but some new friends too. Please feel free to ask me any questions- cheers! Nat :)
Hi everyone, This is Ali. I teach International Business at RMIT University and also do research. During the last 7 years, I've been living in various share houses with people coming from different backgrounds among different ages and I'm familiar with sharehouse lifestyle. I do exercise regularly, it's been a while I do yoga, Tai Chi, walking and also swimming. I do like cooking and prefer to cook at home and would be happy to share a weekly meal with my future housemates. I prefer to live with people who care about keeping the place clean and I'm happpy to do so. I'm not only looking for a bedroom but also for people who like to communicate in their free time. Please contact me if you think we can get along.
Easy going, neat and tidy. Not a party animal, so minimal noise in house. Good with pets.
Hey, My name's Andrea, going on 23 and from Norway. I am currently studying psychology and geography at Melbourne Uni (2nd year), and between that and work I keep pretty busy during the week. I'm a responsible, open-minded and social person, keen to share meals and drinks every now and then, but also very independent and respectful of space. I spend my free time with friends, exploring Melbourne and surroundings, working out, I'm also a major foodie and absolutely love traveling. I'm looking for a sharehouse with 1-4 other people starting from January 22nd, the earlier the better. Ideally I'd like to live with people who are up for a good chat over a meal or drinks from time to time, and who are also quite relaxed, open-minded, clean and generally respectful of others. And of course keen to make the sharehouse a home! Hope to hear from you, thanks!
I'm a super outgoing, bubbly, laid back, American gal. I currently am bartending and saving to travel for 3 months in September, so I won't be at the house often during the night! I love the gym and being active. Currently I am taking a course for my pt qualification! Love having a friendship with my fellow roomies, and consider myself neat, tidy and respectful! Always down for a wine night as well 🙊
Hello! I am a Canadian student going on exchange to the University of Melbourne for a semester and I will be needing accommodations between February 15th to June 30th! Clean and tidy, fun and easy-going, very chill. I enjoy watching movies and TV, video games, cooking (eating), and having a good time. While I'll be focusing on studying and will be looking for part-time work, I will always be up for sharing a meal and/or drink and going out for adventures! I am a non-smoker, but smoking is okay. I am also fine with pets!
I'm a 21 year old Dutch student looking for a room in Melbourne close to the city, because I will be studying at RMIT. I love to meet new people, music, good food and am always up for a chat and a laugh. Also I am clean, responsible etc.
We are neat, tidy, friendly people who are looking for short term accomodation until we can work out our own rental. I am studying nursing and my partner is working as a carpenter and we will be spending the other half of our time exploring Melbourne as we have just moved over from Perth.
I'm relocating to Melbourne from Adelaide mid Feb, and wil be over on the 25,26,27 Jan to check things out. Looking to find somewhere which will be suitable for me to travel to the University of Melbourne and work at the airport, possibly Brunswick. I'm commencing my masters in Chinese translation in Feb so will be pretty busy with that and working but I love to have a wine or three and go out too :)
After spending the summer at home on the Surf Coast, I'm moving back up to Melbourne to study and work. In my spare time I surf, play footy, and enjoy hanging with friends and scouting out music. Cheers Tenz
Hey! My name is Melita, I'm 22 years old and about to move down to study composing at the University of Melbourne. I am essentially the aloe vera plant of housemates - zero drama. So if you're looking for someone who pays the bills on time but is also a good ear and a solid friend, swing me a message. I love: writing music for film, going to gigs, steamed pork buns, getting lost in books, cheeky beers, new stationary, earl grey tea, midnight maccas runs, people who are unapologetically themselves. (Don't worry I write music electronically, so you won't have to listen to my B grade playing haha). Not too fussed about: country music. I'm looking for a homely, relaxed place to live and make some quality friends, so if you think I'd suit your vibe, please let me know ;)
Master student @ Melbourne Uni, very clean and quite , cooks from time to time, love to make new friends, got my own table and bed if not provided, will be staying till the end of the year, easygoing, so let me know if you wanna know more about me and we can work something out!
Hey potential future flatmate(s)! I’m a 21 year old Swede and I study Communication Design full-time at Billy Blue College of Design. I’m also most likely going to start looking for a part-time job just to get some extra money in addition to my income from Sweden. When I'm not studying I enjoy hanging out with friends, eating good food or just staying in watching Netflix. I'm really into art and design so all the exhibitions Melbourne has to offer is like heaven for me! On the weekends I like to go out for drinks or a couple of beers but won't bring the party home if it's not appropriate. I’d love to get to know my flatmate(s), hang out, explore Melbourne, maybe even go on a roadtrip/hike/whatever, but if that's not your thing I'm fine with that too! I used to rent a room in a flatshare in South Melbourne that I loved but now I've been in Sweden for one and a half months and I need to find a new place to call home! Preferably in Fitzroy, Richmond, South Yarra, St Kilda, Prahran and surrounding suburbs. I absolutely love living with others but sometimes I need my privacy for studies so therefore I'm only looking for a private room. I need good tram/train/bus connections if it’s in a suburb further away and I'd prefer a furnished room as I don't really own anything except for an $9 work lamp from IKEA. But it's not necessary if it's the right place. I'm allergic to pets so I don't want any furry things around me (It's okay if you're a hairy human). Do I sound like your new flatmate?! Hit me up!
Hello. I'm a single male looking for a place to rent for a year+. I work full time and enjoy my down time, sport and getting out on weekends with friends and family. I have a pup who is 12 weeks old at the moment and is slowly being house trained. I'm very easy going, very clean to live with and can cook a few decent meals. I'm respectful of people space and belongings, honest and very trustworthy.
I am a full-time student studying master of architecture design currently in RMIT as well as having my part-time job. I have been in Melourne for 2 years. I keep tidy and clean in my space as well as cleaning public area sometimes. I don't smoke and don't like drug. I enjoy having a night in with movies and mates but also enjoy checking out restaurants and bars. I am into music, painting, reading, movies, swimming, photography and biking, recently i am making some interesting graphic by programming. When i am free, i like hanging out to discover new restaurants, new places and fitness or staying at home for cooking or cleaning. Meanwhile, I love chatting with people, for sharing our stories and exchange our opinion. I am a gay, so definitly LGBTI+ friendly. I like to live in a clean and tidy home and am looking for people who agree. I am considerable and kind and would like to make new friends and share life and happy time with my potential lovely roommates. I also would love to share my food and hang out with roommates as well as respect your privacy and keep independence for myself. I took an apartment by myself and manage it, and I lived with more than 6 people in 2 years. Therefore, I think I really know how to get along with my new roommates. Ideally, I hope the room is furnished and prefer to live with males in house or town house which is less than 5 people, and fast speed internet, if there is a garden or yard, it would be perfect. Nor sharing room. I can move in February, but i can also move in Jan if the room is really what I am looking for.
Hi! I'll arrive in Melbourne on February 12th to begin my master studies in Construction Management at the University of Melbourne. I'm 27 yo & have lived abroad for the past 7 years (mostly in shared houses, so I know well how to live with roomies in peace & enjoy it.;)). I'm clean, tidy, laid back, friendly & my friends say funny too :D. In my free time I'd love to cook (gotta be careful to not eat your fingers :P), share a beer or two (wine is even better), watch movies, go for a walk or hike! I'm ideally looking for a private room in an existing shared house but also willing & excited to team-up with other cool, easy-going people looking for a place to call home. :)
Hello! My name is Miley.I'm a very well-organised person who always likes to keep everything around me tidy and clean. I am an easygoing person and a very diligent student. I don't have any bad habits. I usually do some reading in my spare time. I also enjoy watching TV and going to parties at weekends.
Chilled and laidback personality, but also friendly - happy to share a yummy meal and have a wine with housemates, up for movie nights in. However, I also appreciate personal space and that everyone needs time to themselves. In my spare time you'll often find me at the beach swimming and snorkelling, chilling with mates over good food and a drink, also love to cook (but skills are debatable)!
Hi there , my name is Alex. I'm 22 years old and in my final semester university. Which means all i'll be doing is studying hard hard hard. I'm very respectful and deep for my passion so as an artist, so I do spend a lot of time drawing. I consider myself extremely clean and hygienic individual, above the average person I admit, so i never leave a mess and always keep my things neatly packed away. I never fail to miss a sisterngle bill and keep myself well organised. I would love to discuss moving in, send me a text
Hey maybe/sorta roomie! What's to know? I moved to Melbourne about nine months ago and have completely fallen in love with the city. I'm a student at Victoria University at the moment, though i'll be transferring to La Trobe mid this year. I'm always friendly; a bit of a bookworm; at times quite reserved and quiet, but always caring for those i meet along the way. Tidy, respectful, reliable - all that important jazz. Whilst I'm a sociable person, I definitely respect the need for housemates to have space :) Hope i hear from you!
Hey. My name is Lars. I am a backpacker from Germany currently living and working in Melbourne. I am a very friendly and nice person who is very open minded and always up to to try new stuff. I am pretty tidy and in many cases organized although I like going with the flow as well. I like cooking and spending time with good people as well as just relaxing in a park, enjoying the Australian summer while reading a book and listening to music. Cheers Lars
Hey hey. My name is Jacqui and I am a 20 year old Aussie girl currently studying Photography at RMIT in Melbourne. I am friendly, neat, clean, organised, fun-loving and all round good company. Looking for a place to live near Melbourne from the end of February to around June. As mentioned I am a clean and neat person, I don't like leaving a mess around the house so you can count on me to finish the dishes!
Just two Canadian girls who are looking to spend a few months working in Melbourne! ( Looking to rent 2 bedrooms) We are easy going, above average cooks ;), love the outdoors and going for a pint or two once and a while!
Hi there :) My name is Teilo, I am 17 (18 on the 1st of March) and have just finished year 12, looking to move into the city. I am a country boy, but don’t hold it against me! I am an extremely social person and always love chatting and sharing stories over a few beers. I always have a smile on my face and take a positive attitude into just about everything. I am clean and respectful of my surroundings and take pride in the place that I live. I have a goal of starting an electrical apprenticeship in Melbourne and then go on to become a fully qualified electrician. My main interests revolve around music and my love for beer! Most of my spare cash when not going towards necessities usually goes towards one of the two! I love going to see live gigs and if you were into similar music as me would not hesitate on going to gigs together! My favourite bands include: Sticky Fingers, Dunies, Delta Riggs, Cat Empire, Ocean Alley, PUP, Catfish and the bottlemen, Black Keys, Violent Soho, The White Stripes and Young Monks, but the list could go on forever! Things that I can bring to the table: A pretty good record turntable and a limited selection of records, pretty much a complete back up of everything kitchen including a near new toaster, a kettle, fruit and vegetable juicer, microwave, complete sets of bowls plates and cutlery, a beautiful handmade blackwood chopping board and a set of chefs knives and knife block (of course I would only bring these things if they are needed). I also come with the ability to make one of the best chicken curries that you will ever taste! Thanks and I hope to hear from you soon :) p.s - move in date is flexible :)
I'm a 30 year-old employment lawyer looking to move in with 2 or 3 other professionals of a similar age. I love good food, good wine/beer, going out with friends, cycling, running, being outdoors, salsa dancing and volunteering. I work hard and really enjoy lots of exercise and sleep so am looking for a quiet house, but I also enjoy socialising so would definitely be up for dinners/drinks/cups of tea when at home. I'm very clean in common spaces, respectful of others and very reliable with rent, bills etc.
Originally from regional NSW, I've moved to Melbourne for University to study Engineering and now starting full time work as a grad engineer in the city. Easy going, clean, friendly young person looking to stay in inner suburbs of Melbourne. Happy to join house social activities or keep to my own thing if the house prefers. I enjoy playing footy and cricket as well as getting along to the MCG to watch some games.
I have a passion for design, martial arts and video games. More importantly, I'm fine with chores and will maintain the cleanliness of my accommodation. I'm an open-minded young lad from Malaysia that does artsy stuff and plays video games for fun.
Hi! My name is Zack. I'm 24 years old and I'm currently seeking a private room in a share house. I work full time as a professional house painter and I'm really passionate about it. I love making things look beautiful again! I work during the day and sometimes weekends too. I love going out and getting my groove on and meeting new people. Don't mind the old bar sesh wherever it may be but I'm really into raves pumping that sweet psychedelic trance and other tripped out music that makes you feel like your in another dimension as I feel like I am most the time anyway. Love the bush doof scene! From what I know from family, friends and co-workers I am a fun, friendly and respectful person. I really enjoy other peoples company but acknowledge and respect the occasional need for alone time. I also respect the fact that when you're living with other people you need to make a conscious effort to be mindful of the general upkeep of the house. I like to live in a tidy house and don't mind regular cleaning. I also love to cook, especially for others. Hoping to meet some like minded individuals but I'm honestly open to anything. Let me know, thanks!
I'm a bit of an arty farty chick who is currently studying Advertising at RMIT. I have a concerning obsession with Japanese food and Instagram. I also love a bit of banter and go crazy over art, music, food and photography. I'm originally from The Sunshine Coast (QLD) and only moved down to Melbs at the start of 2016 (still a bit of a newbie) so I'm always very keen to meet new, like minded people! I'm super clean (but not a neat freak), independent, and very easy going. I love hanging out with my friends so I would definitely be inviting people over every now and then! I am very excited to cook up a storm next year as I love to cook too, however I cannot go past 2 min noodles most of the time.
I'm a neat, reliable and great to live with. I work full time at ABC radio in Melbourne, love my work but also enjoying socialising and having fun. I'm mature, considerate and will respect your space.
Easy going, social, but I've got quite a bit on so the relaxed kind of social. My books, my plants and myself are looking for place to share with fun, open-minded, respectful people who are used to share space. I'm studying and teaching french for a living. French is my native language and even though I've been in Australia for ages my choice of words appears to be a fairly good source of entertainment.
Hi there, I'm Tarsha! I'm currently studying Visual Merchandising and working in a fun little porcelain store part time. I like riding my bike, trying new cafes, going to gigs and galleries, the odd red wine or two and hanging out with friends, you know, the usual human things. At home I like to cook, draw, read and Netflix binge. I'm tidy and easygoing and am looking for a homey vibe rather than a party house. Although I have no pets of my own I love animals; I can't walk past a dog without asking for a pat!
I'm Gwen (French soon to be graduate/future work holiday visa applicant) looking for a nice place to live starting from February. Studies and sports/societies keep me busy busy but love to relax over a beer (and more often than not, 2). I am far from a hermit, keep my door open so as not to feel too lonely 😉 have $$ and am clean!
Hi I'm Di. I have just finished a postgraduate university degree at Adelaide University and have been offered a position in at St Vincents Research Institute in Fitzroy. I have lived in a share house the past year. I am easy to get along with, clean up after myself, enjoy socialising but am also happy to give people their own space. I have a small black and white cat that is house trained that I will bring with me.
Heya! I'm a super organised, neat, reliable student moving from Perth to study at the University of Melbourne. I'm happy to spend time by myself but appreciate good company! I enjoy going out for coffee and dinner but also chilling at home with a cup of tea watching netflix. :)
24 yo Asian lad full time professional/studying part-time towards CA, friendly organised and well house trained. I get along well with respectful people who enjoys socialising over a drink but also respects each other's own space. Looking for a new place to call home - preferably no crazy parties or excessive noise. Other than that, I cook, lift, go to gigs and make bad jokes :)
Hi all, I'm a 26 year old environmental scientist working in bushfire management in the Otways. I'm moving back to Melbourne from Geelong as I look to start a PhD at Melb Uni later in the year. I'll be commuting back to Geelong in the short term. I enjoy playing hockey, riding my mountain bike and going out for coffee with friends. I'm social and enjoy a night out here and there, but also some down time at home. Looking for a queen sized room, preferably that would also fit a small desk or table. I don't have much house furniture, but would be happy to contribute if new furniture is needed. Also keen for a safe spot to store my bike and small succulent family. Flexible with move in date. Looking forward to hearing from you!
Hi I'm an easy going student studying at melb uni! Looking for a single room in the city based on a long term basis and would prefer if the apartment is not under a lease so I can stay past a year. Would prefer if the place is a female only environment which is filled with responsible and friendly people! Only available to move in Feb 2017. Thank you!
I am from India, I will be studying Master of Management (Project Management) in La Trobe University City Campus. Along with me there are two more friends who will be arriving (or moving) on the same day. I am extrovert and open-minded, The same implies to other two.I am a non-smoker and non-drinker ( not even occasional), I don't mind smoking or drinking unless I'm insisted so please take a note of it. Also I'm quite possessive relating to my religious aspects but not extreme (like eating non-halal food, drinking and others). I respect privacy and never do something that will embarrass or disappoint my fellow roommates. Apart from this I like to go out, play games (indoor or outdoor), gym, cooking, reading, helping the fellow roommates the best from my side, being clean and hygienic, taking care of myself and little OCD to few things :P. We don't mind sharing room with people from any background. If you are from India or Muslim, we would love to be with you. So either way I will be fine. If you have pets like cats or dogs, that will also not be a problem ( we are cat-lovers :P but wouldn't mind a dog. ) Also, If there is any accommodation like Paying Guest (PG) in the city or suburbs I will also consider that. :) P.S : Once again, we are great to live with.
Hey there, Kiwi traveller returned from the UK, wanting to escape to Melbourne. I have full time work in retail waiting for me (*hello discounted clothing*), just need a place to stay. I'm tidy, pretty chill, down for a drink (or three) and a chat after work.
Originally from Byron, I've lived in Melbourne for 3 years. Currently working as a bartender in the CBD. I'm a huge nerd, love board games and medieval history. Also really handy, love building furniture and sets for theatre, I'm also currently refurbishing a small sailboat. Relaxed around the house, like my own space but I'm always down for communal house dinners and board game nights, which I supplement with cocktails ;) Also not afraid of hard work, I'm currently living in a garage I renovated (need to get out before it gets too cold in winter!) so if there are any big jobs that need doing I'm your guy!

I am 25 year old female and have just completed studying nursing and paramedics in Ballarat. I am relocating to Melbourne for a new job, so am looking for somewhere to live long term. I am a clean, respectful and easy going person. I am social, but also mindful of people’s space and privacy. I have an established network in Melbourne but am also looking forward to meeting new people. I am always up for shared dinner and drinking wines/beer/gin together. I love a good gig, card game, good shower pressure and sunshine. I am outdoorsy and active, but no exercise fanatic. I try to ride where I can, but also have a car.
Hey! My name is Brittany and i am a third year undergrad at the university of melbourne studying media and coms. I work part time retail for cotton on group whilst studying, and my spare time is spent hanging out with friends, eating good food and having a Bev or two (ten). Pretty happy to do my own thing most of the time but always up for a chat, and hopefully become great friends with my future roomie to make our place a home. i am honestly one of the most chilled out people you can live with, but very organized and on top of things. Ideally looking for another chick around the same age to join up and sign onto a lease for a modern-ish two bedroom apartment, preferably with a balcony. Max 210 each per week. Early feb. If this sounds good to you, hit me up!
Easygoing and able to get along with everyone, wanting a warm and friendly share house. INFJ that would love to hang out with housemates but also values alone time. Love to cook and happy to share it with my housemates too!
Canadian moving to Melbourne for a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree. Looking for a space to call home. Flatmates who are either graduate students or young professionals ideally. My program is demanding so weeknights will be quiet with visits to the gym, but weekends I'll need stress relief via exploring the city and alcohol. I lived in a shared house during undergrad and know for a comfortable living environment everyone needs to lend a hand. I like clean spaces, but am not an OCD clean freak! I'm tidy, conscientious, and easy going. Hoping to find a living space thats a home; not just a house :-)
I am 29 years old, from Argentina and recently finished my Master's in International Relations degree at MelbUni. I am quite chill but like to enjoy a beer and go out on the weekends. I like sports (basketball, soccer, golf) but mostly play squash once or twice a week. I don't smoke but wouldn't mind living with someone who does. Quite clean and tidy and would love to live with someone similar.
Moving down from Sydney. Great cook, tidy but not OCD, work full time in hospo so similar peeps preferred, non smoker, looking for some chilled human beings to live with that like to share a wine or two but also respect each others space. I study commercial interior design part time, it's more my passion so a lot of pride goes into the space around me. Very close to finishing my degree and always up for a giggle.
Hi there. I am looking to move in to Melbourne by end of January 2017 for my masters at RMIT city campus. I am 28 yrs old male. I'm looking for a separate peacefull room in a sharing apartment. I will be working part time. Preferably close to a station.
Jon - 26, Spatial analyst / Research assistant, very capable cyclist (previously competitive but chose a career/social life over becoming a professional cyclist) and handy cards player. Easy going, loves a bit of banter and well domesticated through forced child labour (mum's reason for having kids). Appreciates having pot plants / flowers / a garden wherever he lives. Trikk - 25, avid photographer / animal lover (grew up on a dairy farm) and currently working for the Australian Wheat Board in South Bank. Very friendly and loves a good chat. As a couple, we're not ones to lock ourselves inside of our room never to be seen and looking for a house where everyone gets along/friendly rather than a case of contractual co-habitation. We're clean and highly respectful and considerate of all others and sure we can make a positive contribution to the house whilst maintaining a pleasant status-quo. We're looking for a place to stay with where we can sign a minimum 6 month lease and relatively flexible as to the date we move in. Thus, we can work on a timeline suitable to your place.
I'm a full time teacher looking for a fun, adult house to share with like minded-people. I'm an easy going person and have enjoyed living in houses previously with people who like to socialise together while also being independent. I like to keep things clean and organised, have developed a love of creating herb gardens, and wouldn't say no to an afternoon glass of cab sav. I've been living in the country for the last 2 years and I'm excited to explore the various brunch options of the inner north/west.
Hi, we are a couple looking for a room somewhere in or around Melbourne with great connections to the city (preferably close to trains) since we are both studying and working in and around the city. We would prefer to not pay more than 300 per week for both of us, but can be discussed. There is Frida who is 21 years old from Sweden, and Russell who is 22 from outside of Melbourne. We are a friendly and social couple who would love to be friends and hang out with the people we live with but at the same time have respect for our privacy since we will have a lot of studying to do. Other than that, we are two normal students who likes to have fun and hang out, go out once in a while and not just sit at home. If we sound like the people for you, then we'd love to hear from you! :)))
We're two peas in a pod, will you be our three? haha kidding but seriously, we get along really well. We found each other on flatmates.com.au last year too and looking to find a 3 bedroom apartment or house so it's cheaper to live. ($750 between 3 max) Our daily life includes working full-time, the "occasional" 6am gym session (we try but we're also pretty lazy) we are trying to improve our cooking skills, we've come a long way since we first moved in! Cheese and wine is always good, netflix, instagram all the basic bitch stuff. We're retired party-goers but don't mind heading out every now and then. We love the idea of road trips but the weather doesn't seem to agree everytime we wanna go...... anyways if you'd like to meet up for a coffee/brunch/lunch/dinner/desserts/icecream/donuts or whichever to meet us and discuss our future home please inbox :)
Pretty chilled, love great food, passionate about health & wellness. I'm a Naturopath and work the standard Mon - Fri for a major health & wellness brand (free supplements, skincare & superfoods!), love to socialise but do need my own time every now and then! I have a beautiful 6 year old staffy who absolutely loves people, pats and tennis balls 🐶😃
