My name is Tina, I´m from Austria, 36 years old and I will start my PhD studies in Health Sciences at the Peter Doherty Institute of the University of Melbourne in April 2018. For my move to Australia, I search for a temporary-midterm accommodation. I wanted to either rent a fully equipped place for a couple of weeks/months, while searching for a more permanent solution; or possibly find something longterm right in the beginning. I arrive in Melbourne on March 30th. I occasionally cook and bake, and therefore would like the possibility to use a fully equipped kitchen. Some more details about me: I am a non-smoker, have no pets, love biking and I´m very passionate about science (that´s why I´m finally undertaking my PhD studies 😉) I see myself as a very uncomplicated, reliable and somewhat (at least most of the time) organised person 😉 I receive a scholarship from the University, so I will reliably be able to pay the rent. Cheers, Tina
Hi Guys, Kristal and Kellie here, we are both Kiwis and have been best friends for years now! We are looking for two rooms in a share house or a 2brm apartment, both options need to be fully furnished. I am an Executive Assistant relocating from London following my two year working visa there and Kellie is a Cafe Manager relocating from New Zealand for a change of scenery. We both very excited for the new opportunities Melbourne will bring us. We are both easy going, respectful, tidy, ladies - enjoy the odd glass of wine, sports, gym and I love to cook. We are both well and truly over the mad young adult party lifestyle and would much rather a chilled night at a nice bar or on the sofa in PJs or playing board games. Our ideal flatmates would be in a similar space that we are. We are quite flexible on the area we live in but would like to be less than a 45min commute into the CBD if possible.
Hi, I am 20yo and I come from Indonesia. Looking for a room since I will start my uni life on 7th March 2018 in Monash College City. I am a quiet person but friendly with each other and like to be friend with anyone. I am a neat and tidy person.
Im 50+ female, working full time. I am currently in the process of relocating to Melb. As I still have ties in Hobart, Ill often be be away for days at a time. Im easy going, tidy, happy to have a chat or do my own thing. Not after a 'Party House' : ) Im probably more suitable for 40+ bracket regarding flat mates. Allocated parking or plenty of available on street parking would be ideal. As would a private bathroom, however, no issues with sharing. I love animals, therefore, no issues there. I have indicated $200 as my budget, however, I am willing to negotiate with this figure. Look forward to hearing.
I am 23 and have been living in Melbourne for a few months now and am currently looking for a new more permanent place to live. I am currently living in a share house in the city while working at Coles in Fitzroy, which has now allowed me the income to set myself up more permanently in Melbourne. I am a fairly quiet and clean person, i don't smoke and though i tend to keep to myself i do very much enjoy cooking and having a meal/drink whenever there is the chance. My interests include reading, playing games, cooking and playing soccer/futsal.
I am an easy going and down to earth kind of chick - I work full time with a range of different hours per rostered month. I am looking for somewhere closer to Melbourne City as I work in Southbank and would really like to cut my commute down from 50 minutes each way! I love music, animals and enjoy a lot of quiet time (just time to myself!) and also going out with my friends, as my job is full on. I have two rabbits who both have their own hutches and would need some type of backyard (if possible) One of my rabbits is indoors but she is small and quite social and relaxed. I'm looking for like-minded adults who don't mind not seeing their flatmate constantly and who is able to accept two beautiful bunnies (they really are quite sweet and you would not need to care for them in any way at all.) I love to cook, bake, chill with a drink or two and love a good conversation. I'm quite flexible when it comes to arrangements and have my own furniture for a bedroom. If you have any questions don't hesitate to send a message. Hope to hear from you soon!
Just a guy with positive attitude and comical Spanish accent. Always on the go, saying yes and trying new things! This time, I'm going to study my masters at UniMelb, meaning I'm looking for a place near there. I believe that you can make friends in the strangest and most wonderful places that way. Want to join me?
A first-year Graduate student from Nigeria. I'm coming to study mechatronics at the University of Melbourne. I'm pretty much ok to live it. I love sports; football (soccer) precisely. I'm easy to get along with provided you are neat and don't mess up the common areas we'll be sharing.
Hi, we just moved down from Brisbane about a month ago so keen to meet new people and make friends! :D We're hoping to find a place that is friendly and welcoming but also allow us to have our own space. We quite often like to share laughs, movies, and meals with our housemates, but don't want a party house (outside of BBQ's and birthdays etc). We're respectful of other people's space but are looking for flat-mates rather than flat-humans. Homes are better than houses. I'm Karen (25) a full-time working professional as a risk engineering consultant for a culture change firm, likes to laugh, likes to eat, but also likes to chill in my room. Matt (31) studies environmental science and outdoor rec at Victoria University full-time, is very warm and happy, likes to get out and about, and likes to eat more. We love pets (but don't have any) and plants (we have 2) so if you have some that's awesome, but would prefer a place without kids (visits are definitely cool though). We're not in a rush to move into anywhere, so we will take our time to pick a great spot but if you think you're awesome and would love to hear more about us, just let me know!
Hey! 😊 I'm 26, British and have recently come back to Melbourne! I left home last June to pursue my dream to travel and so far have done Asia and the east coast but I would like to settle for a while and Melbourne stole my heart the first time I was here! 😊 Before travelling I worked in primary teaching. I work as a receptionist, this is over 5 days with 3 various shifts including morning, afternoon and evening starts in the city. I love to explore or hit the road for a road trip/beach day - since travelling I've turned into a water baby but I am definitely still a beginner surfer! I love socialising and meeting new people, going to sports events... Pretty much an all rounder! However, I am English and from the north so I do love a good cup of tea and a Netflix binge every now and then! Hostel life has been a fab experience but I would love to have my own room and space now, make new friends/potential housemates and enjoy staying in one place! Ideally I would be looking at 5-6months in an apartment with a private, furnished room and bills included in the rent. My ideal areas are walking distance to the city or a close tram ride - around South Wharf, South Bank, South Yarra, Richmond and possibly Fitzroy/Brunswick
Hello from Pakistan! Coming to Australia for the first time, I will be studying full time at Monash city campus. I do not prefer partying as much, I can be social but also respect ones privacy and would love to help around the house! I am a clean and tidy person, i like living in a laid back environment, little fun on the side, love to watch films, listen to music, can cook some things too. Can’t sit around at one place for too long, I walk a lot, always up for hiking or camping out or playing any sport. I also have a musical instrument (Rabab) of Afghan origin which I play then and now, radiating good vibes only!! 22, straight.
About 6 months ago I finished up 10 months of travel around Europe and Africa after leaving my childhood home in the US to end up in Australia! Currently staying in Brunswick on Sydney Road, but looks like that's run it's course now (the place is really a mess so I'm definitely big on keeping things decent). Looking to stay in this area, as I'm studying mechanical engineering at the University of Melbourne, tutoring piano and getting as much work as I can on the side. I definitely don't like working too hard though, sitting on the sunny beaches of Queensland as I write this haha! Crazy about F1, crazy about scuba diving, crazy about life, looking for some crazy people to make sure there's never a dull moment ;)
I've been living in the same apartment in the CBD for the past 2 years and I'm looking for a change in environment. I'm working in Camberwell so any of the surrounding suburbs would work for me. I'm looking for a nice place to call home with nice flatmates but most importantly someone who would consider living with a quiet, toilet trained really funny puppy. :)
I'm Adrian, 22, an international student from Mexico trying to enjoy the most out of good-ol' Melbourne since 4 months ago. I'm currently taking a major in Psychology at UniofMelb, and am working part-time in a cafe in South Yarra. I consider myself to be a soft-spoken, polite, and friendly guy. I enjoy hanging out with people and creating the best memories as I'm an easygoing dude. Hygiene is something really important to me, so you can rely I won't ever leave a mess behind (and I'll expect you not to as well). Keeping a sense of harmony and balance in my life is something I look up to. I like having fun out (read: out) with mates, having some drinks and whatnot, but I also love having lazy days doing nothing but watching Steven Universe or whatever is trending on Netflix. I'm into fitness and healthy living, socio-politics, and traveling (but seriously who isn't into traveling nowadays?). Cheers!
Hi there, I'm a 29 year old italian/australian who just moved to Melbourne to start a postgraduate degree. I've always moved around, I've lived in a number of countries and places so I'm really happy to meet new people, I'm easy going and I find settling in pretty simple. I like cooking (i don't look or sound italian but i need to live up to the stereotype somehow), reading (I have a bunch of books- i feel like an idiot because that's most of the stuff i brought down), music, pubs (i'll be looking for my local as soon as I move in), and coffee- I forgot my great espresso machine in sydney and i'm in mourning/ cripplingly heartbroken. I'll move on eventually but if there are cafes around that will help me through my grief that's a plus. I'm sociable, i'm down to hang out over a few drinks- but since I'm studying i also need a fair amount of independent time. I'm hoping for a medium-long term place depending on the fit. Looking forward to getting in touch and hopefully find a great place I can settle into!
Hi there. I'm an engineer from Turkey and will be living in Melbourne for 6 months for my language education. I'm a clean and tidy guy and easy to live with and I love listening to music
