Hello, Sarah and I just arrived on Melbourne, and now we are looking for a room. We are 26 and 27 years old, loving life, ready to move in a sharehouse. Sarah is working in hospitality, usually on day shift, she likes literature, photography, doing huge chocolate cake, that I recommend to everyone. I’m working in construction, I like photography too, gardening, and to eat chocolate cake (and much more to discover). We like to spend time with the mates, we are looking for cool people to live with, share some meal and having good time together. We talk fluent English, we already lived in sharehouse, and are responsible about all the duties and the behavior engage in a share living place. We both already found work, we just miss our place to live to set up our lives for a little in this beautiful city. If you do think that it can match with you, give us a try and we pretty sure you won't regreat! Looking forward to hearing from you soon :) S & H
Hi, I'm Justine. I am a 28 year old Perth girl and I've been living and working in Melbourne for 5 months. I'm a long haul flight attendant so my lifestyle is a tad different to the usual 9-5er. When i am home I love a home cooked meal and enjoy a casual drink or two (or three). I am a non-smoker and have lived in a few share houses so I appreciate keeping things clean and tidy for others. I would like to live in a social and relaxed home but one that also respects each others privacy and space. It would be nice to live with like-minded people :)
Laid back, tidy and easy to live with said all my previous housemates :) I am busy during the week and like to relax and chill out after work. Weekends I enjoy dinner and drinks with friends and can be found at a gig somewhere.
Hi there, We are a British couple settled in Melbourne looking for somewhere to live. We have recently moved out of our house share in South Yarra and looking to find a new place to stay. We are both non smokers, clean and like to think we are pretty laid back haha. We respect peoples person space but also are keen to integrate into a new home. We both work full time in Richmond so don't usually get up to much during the week, however we do love a trip to the beach on a weekend. Hopefully you will be our new flat mate....yayy :) Danny and Sarah
We are a couple from Poland. We have recently moved to Melbourne and now we are looking for a room. We are super friendly, optimistic, and sociable so we love meeting new people and leading long discussions in the kitchen. We are also responsible, tidy, and we respect other people and their privacy. More about us- Kate is a fashion designer, currently working in designer boutique. Primo is a multi-tasking guy, studying English language in the morning, and working in a big warehouse in the evening. We like good food, movies&music, and exploring this beautiful city.
A few things about me to spike your interest, as I assume you probably get a million messages! I work full time for a land surveyor as well as studying part time as a building designer. I'm hard working and highly reliable.. Brought up the good Ol' fashion way, so I know how to clean up after myself and cook a mean meal well too - if you're keen to share a meal or two together.. I get to the gym or yoga most days and love anything active or in the sun. Love a good weekend out and about or a relaxing night in on the couch with a glass of Pinot.. I'm a very down to earth, easy going person, but definitely enjoy my own space. I am looking for someone who is also respectable and a pleasure to live with. I'm 22, but definitely an old soul.. probably get along better with people quite a bit older than me so more looking for house mates in the 24+ vercinity.. but not too fussed..
I'm fun and easy going 30 year old, get along with everyone and am good company! This is my second year in Australia on a working holiday visa and I'm planning on staying in Melbourne at least until February. I work a lot and on my free time enjoy outdoors, yoga and sports, quiet movie nights at home as well as the occasional crazy night out.
Hi. I am moving to Melbourne from Sydney for work. Ill work 9-5ish in Marketing/Sales so will be out during the week, but love to hang out on the weekend. I am tidy, considerate of noise and am willing to help out around the house of course. I love movies/film and theater and just going out and having fun. Not a huge party animal but I appreciate a good drink or two. Oh brunch, I love brunch too! Also a huge fan of watching sports and the gym and walking around exploring. Generally a really social person so I'd love to make friend with my housemates.
Alright team.... it is with great sadness I seek a new abode as my current housemate has bought an apartment (damn her) and I am not invited. I'm a 26 yr old working professional, been in Melbourne only a few short months, loving the Windsor/Prahran area and would prefer to stay. I'm well experienced with flatting. Love to stay active (soccer, basketball, gym, mountain biking, snowsport), travel when possible, and eat well (can cook!). Work hard through the week and enjoy the weekend - relax, adventure, a few drinks etc., I'm very social. No problems with animals at all and happy to meet and check out new places/people. Not interested in mass flat share or backpacker places. Looking for new friends, similar age similar interests, for the long(ish) term. Feel free to contact me if you think it might work and I'll come say hello. Need a place approx. end November, though flexible.
Hi there! My name is Rob Kers, I’m 23 years old and I study Electrical Engineering at the University of Twente, The Netherlands. Next week I hope to start as an intern at the University of Melbourne and therefore I’m looking for a nice place to stay for about 3,5 months A bit about myself: I love to do all kinds of sports, such as cycle racing, mountain biking, ice skating or running. I like photography and I like to work on technology hobby projects. I’m living in a shared house now for 5 years, so I know how to keep a place tidy. To give you an idea how I lived in the Netherlands, below you will find a link to the photos of the subletting advertisement that I have online right now. Furthermore, I like to spend some time in the kitchen to prepare a nice supper. I’m looking for a house where I can work on my internship assignment, but also have a laugh with my room mates and sometimes doing some activities together (watching a movie, eat together, having a drink). I just arrived in Melbourne, so I’m working on a sim card to get an Australian number. In the mean time you can contact in any other way you like. Best, Rob Kers Some contact details: Onedrive photos of my current room https://1drv.ms/f/s!AhGrizdR4gwti4V_y39CusN4C6GySw
Hello everyone! Looking for a nice little space in a friendly atmosphere to live starting October. Close to the beach, gardens and public transport would be ideal! Im respectful, clean and responsible with bills. I like to catch up at the end of the day and share dinner maybe a couple of wines and go for a dance during the weekends. Im very active in my daily routine as Im a Landscape design student with a job and also like to spend time outdoors admiring natures beauty. Please send me a text if you think we can share a home :)
It's really hard to make these sites not sound like a dating profile on RSVP or similar. I'm Campbell, I work full-time for a professional body for engineers. Originally from New Zealand been living in Sydney for the past four years and have now made the move to Melbourne. I am a pretty friendly and down to earth sort of guy. I am pretty tidy (I think). On weekends I like to hangout with friends or have a drink or two. I like to hit up gastropubs for food with friends but sometimes prefer a weekend with Netflix. I know how to respect other peoples space and like my own downtime. After a furnished room. Looking for great people to live with.
I'm on the hunt for a fabulous new place to live and am hoping my future housemates might find me on here! I'm 31yo, a doctor, and love dogs, baking (happy to take requests!), hiking, travelling, running, brunching, finding bargains, camping and generally adventuring. I'm looking for a smoke-free, light-filled place for at least 12 months. I'd prefer a bright room that is quiet & of a reasonable size, and own bathroom and car spot preferred but not essential. I'm looking to move in anytime from Dec 12 to Jan 8. My ideal housemates would value a clean and tidy shared living space and like to get together for the occasional dinner, movie or wine & cheese night but also have lives of their own. I'd like to live with at least 2 other people though am not looking for a party house! Ideally I am looking for a pet friendly place with a courtyard or secure outdoor area as I have a gorgeous 8yo small Maltese x shihtzu dog called Harry. He's house trained, doesn't shed any hair, and just loves being around people. If your place fits the bill but isn't pet friendly I'd still love to hear from you as worst case scenario he can live with his 'grandparents'! Can't wait to hear from you! Happy to answer any questions you might have or to get together for a coffee before I head to India on Nov 3 :)
Hey there, my name is Jahla. I'm in the hope of finding a stable and affordable home to share with someone who is reliable, I am NOT looking for a share room. I'd probably describe myself as pretty chilled, respectful, easy going, positive, fun and social person. I am super clean, so i try to keep the mess to a minimum. I have my own car and license which provides independence.. I'd preferably would like to share with another female, but at the end of the day as long as we can live together comfortably and happily that's all that matters. Regardless of my age I am very independent and mature and able to cater to my own needs. I work full time in Docklands so ill be out from Monday-Friday 8am-5pm. If you'd like to know more about me, or ask any questions feel free to message me. Look forward to meeting my future flat mate :)
Hi my name is Stef and I am 27. I work full-time in Insurance in the city. I am currently in Brunswick and am looking to make the move to somewhere a bit more social. I am hoping to find somewhere already furnished, as I only own my bedroom furniture and somewhere near transport which allows me to get to work with ease! My lease is up in Jan so would be looking at moving around then. I am fun, easy going and have rented with friends for almost 8 years. I still have a great relationship with everyone I have lived with! I ideally would just like to live with just one other person, someone around a similar age or older! Own bathroom would be amazing but not essential. Pets don't worry me, I'm a non-smoker and like to keep fit and healthy but also love a night out now and then (def not a huge party animal) If you have something coming up which you think I may be interested in please don't hesitate to contact me!
Born in Montreal Canada to an Australian mother. Just moved to Melbourne to go back to school. Going to hopefully be doing my Masters of teaching in February. I'm living at my cousin's house in Richmond at the moment and am trying to find some cool people to move in with. I'm a cinephile, somewhat geeky but quite extroverted. I'm very open-minded, progressive, a bit of a hippy. I work at a small whisky resto/bar in the cbd. I'm into sustainable living, queer friendly, and love biking around. I'm neat and tidy and I like to cook for other people. I speak French and Spanish and will be learning Japanese. Here's a link to my couch surfing profile to see references from people that have had me stay in their house:

I am very respectful of other people's things and privacy, tidy and happy to contribute to the house in any way that I can.

Hey, I'm a recently single gay 23 man. I work full time in Arts Administration at State Library Victoria. I like to keep very busy with hobbies and activities, as a result I'm not home too often and do not make much mess or take up space in the house. I'm often doing things like performing in amateur musical theatre, writing music and swimming for fitness, and I like to see live theatre as much as I can. I love to cook and like to be a host. I love small low-key get togethers with a few of my closest friends. I know I'm pretty young but I'm very mature for my age. Most of my friends are in their 30s. I'm fun and outgoing but very polite and respectful. I like to meet new people so send me a message :)
Hello there my name is Amy Young (20) and my boyfriend Aaron Stenhouse (23) are currently on our travels. We have recently been working at a special needs camp in America for the past four months and are now heading to Australia to travel for 6 months. We are looking for accommodation somewhere with easy access into the CBD by public transport, Max spending around $350 per week with access to the internet and amenities round the house. We will be planning to stay and work in Melbourne for around three months. We are currently looking for jobs in Melbourne and have applied to lots of places and waiting to hear back. Aaron used to study Sports and Recreation and I currently study Forensic Psychology at University. Our most recent jobs have been in retail and working with people with special needs as a lifeguard and counsellor. We are a clean, outgoing couple who love to see the sights and getting to socialise with new people.
I'm a 23 years old bartender from England, looking for an apartment in Melbourne till the start of February. Maybe even for a longer time. I'm really easygoing, very clean and tidy, love cooking, and like rugby, live music, and chilling out with friends.
HI. My name's Ari (short for Arianwen - it's Welsh) and I'm from the UK. I'm 33 and I just got a job with a charity in Melbourne. I'm currently waiting for a little more information on how long the visa process might take before booking my flights, but I'll be there by the end of October, or early November at the latest. My office will be on Flinder's Lane and ideally I'd like to be able to walk to work. My preferred areas would be the CBD, Carlton, Fitzroy, or maybe Richmond. I don't mind too much what the house is like, but good WiFi, a double bed (already furnished) and a noticeable absence of spiders would definitely spark my interest. I don't really mind who I share with but I'd probably prefer to be in a place with three or more rooms and flatmates who like to socialise every now and again. I know a few people in Melbourne already, but I'm always keen to meet new people. I'm a massive travel addict. I've spent most of the past four years backpacking through South and Central America, Asia and New Zealand, and I write a travel blog professionally, which sometimes gets me pretty awesome products or experiences to review. I love to scuba dive and recently did my divemasters in Indonesia. I also like to do silly things like bungy jumping every now and again. If you have any questions for me, let me know. It's really annoying that I can't actually view anywhere at the moment, but if you think I sound like the right kind of person drop me a message and I'll send you updates on my progress towards moving!
Hi there! I'm Irina, a full-time student at RMIT. I moved to Melbourne about a year ago from Queensland, I'm super easy going and friendly, but I definitely appreciate some down time. I'm looking for a permanent place, or somewhere temporary until I can figure it all out! I like netflix, reading and dogs, but I'm also down to be social if that's your thing.
My name is Juan Carlos and am from Mexico. I am 30 years old and looking for a room to rent with shared accommodations. I am easy going, responsible and tidy. I am currently working in a local restaurant and studying culinary arts. I am friendly, love to cook and will share delicious Mexican food with you. Please contact me if you think I can suit in your house. Gracias amigo
Hi, I'm Elya! I've been in Melbourne for almost 3 years, originally from Malaysia. I'm currently an Arts student and will be graduating soon. Looking for a place to stay over the summer (but hopefully longer!) while I figure out what's next. Dates are sort of flexible. For potential roommates: I'm clean and tidy, still learning how to cook, not much into parties, here to listen to you vent over a glass of wine after a long day, and always up to binge watch tv shows. That being said, I will definitely respect your privacy and if you want to keep to yourself, that's cool too. If you're interested / want to know anything else, feel free to contact me! Bonus points if you have a cat.
*looking to 'team up' with at least 2 other girls and get a new place together in mid November :) Hello! Darwin girl originally, I moved to Melbourne in December 2015. I'm looking for roommates who can double as friends as I still don't really know anyone. I work full time during the week and my weekends vary from being a complete hermit to being a wild animal. I'm very outgoing and absolutely love meeting new people. I'm not for the sensitive or the faint hearted so if you don't like to joke around and laugh then we probably wouldn't be suited! Also, you must love dogs! I have a two year old Japanese Spitz named Evie. She is the cutest thing in the world. I want to live somewhere with at least a patch of grass. I'm very over cleaning the balcony! And I'm wanting to move to the south east suburbs close to public transport. Anywho, my current lease runs out at the beginning of December so I'd like to find a place to live in mid November at the latest! :)
We both very easy going, clean, respect each others, really like traveling, love nature, food, movies, wine, cheese and chocolate for sure 😊
Moving to Melbourne from Sydney as I am starting a new full time role for a large corporate firm in Docklands. I am really easy going, friendly, love to cook and clean and love a tidy home. Pet friendly, enjoy keeping fit and active, enjoy company of others, can be social as well as enjoy my nights in also.
We are Andi and Jutta, 29 and 32, and we are looking for a longterm accommodation in Melbourne. We are both working full time, Andi as a chef and Jutta as a waitress. In our free time, we like to sleep in, get out into nature, cook at home and meet other people. Andi loves gardening as well and cooking at home. So good food is guaranteed. :-) We are responsible, clean and take good care of our stuff and where we live.
My name is Tamara. I'm 28, and I'm an occupational therapist, working at the Royal Melbourne Hospital 1-2 days a week, and out at a private clinic 3-4 days per week in Deer Park/all over Melbourne. It's a 9-5 job, and I love what I do. My other interests include: anything musical (I play the violin and piano), running, cooking/baking, cycling, hiking, socialising, food/wine and spending time with friends and family. I'm very easy going, I keep things clean, and I'm respectful of others. I've lived in share houses for years and know how to live happily with other people.
I've just moved from the UK, but originally from just over the ditch, so looking for a new place to call home. House trained, tidy and considerate - I'd love to live with people who I'd also hang out with socially too (don't worry, I do have my own friend circles in Melbourne too!). I love traveling, exploring, and am social, but equally like to relax with a glass of wine after a long day of work. I work in marketing, I'm into keeping fit and love outdoor adventures. Having said that, I also love baking!
I'm respectful and considerate, easy going & tidy, don't smoke, enjoy a healthy & quiet lifestyle. In my free time I enjoy drinks with friends, going to gigs and hiking the great outdoors
I am French born and moved to Australia over 10 years ago. I am fun and outgoing yet i love my quiet down time as i work full time as a Receptionist in the city. Very respectful and clean, i love being organised. I dont like staying too much indoors, and love getting out and exploring, so i wouldnt be in anyones way!
I'm Alberto and i'm looking for a place to stay at least 6 months. I have a working holiday visa and i want to find a job in hospitality. I'm friendly and with previous experience in sharing a house, so no problems about housekeeping and bills. I like to play tennis, to swim and go to the gym. Also if there is a chance to go out and have some fun why not. I'm going to arrive in Melbourne the 28th of october and i will stay in a hostel until the 3rd of november, so it will be a pleasure to find something for that date. Thank you very much. Alberto
Hello! Chill couple, here! My name is Erin. My partner Michael and I have just relocated to Melbourne, from Chicago. We're interested in renting one room together (ideally in a sharehouse full of nice people), for the long-term. I am an American working in specialty coffee, and Michael is a Melburnian fella, returning from overseas after completing his PhD in mathematics. We are both fairly tidy, and value personal spaces, but enjoy the companionship of housemates, and community living, and have a good amount of experience living alongside other humans in various forms of formalized or informal cooperative living. We love cooking, and shared meals, and also appreciate having a home to improve upon as a group. I'd love to garden, if we had the chance! I'm vegetarian, and Michael is almost vegetarian, but we are pretty much open to living with any dietary preferences. I play cello and guitar, mostly for myself. We ride our bikes to get around the city, and enjoy being active and outdoors. I'm a potter/ceramicist, though I also work in other materials. Since we've just arrived, I'm still working on finding a studio space in our new city, but it seems like the arts community is vibrant here. I'm hoping to get back to making new work soon. We are, above all, open-minded to living with many sorts of people -- which is how we hope you are, too. Apart from the above details, we're just a couple of humans who like living with other humans, and doing so in an environmentally and socially conscious way. Neither of us smoke cigarettes, or do much in the way of drugs, but we're very open-minded to, and accepting of other people and their lifestyle choices. We appreciate a drink in the evening, but tend not to drink very much at any one time. The occasional party is enjoyable, but we like to keep it casual and fun, and would enjoy a vibrant but mostly peaceful home (if only because, as a barista, I often have to wake up at 5 or 6 in the morning)! Neither of us have jobs yet, as we have only just arrived. But while we are just beginning proper job searches, we have a comfortable amount of savings, and would be happy to provide bank statements upon request. For work, Michael hopes to go into data science, and in a city like Melbourne, I can't wait to work at some of the great cafes around town (some of the best in the world are here)! I would love to hear from you, if it sounds like we might be a good fit in your home! If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask. Many thanks, Erin and Michael
Hi, I´m Christina, 26, from Germany :) I´m a Business Administration graduate and I´m coming to Melbourne for an 6-month internship, starting in December. I´m a friendly, tidy and respectful person and I have gained 'share house experience' for over 5 years. I love to share a part of my free time togehter with my flatmates, but I also need time for myself. In my free time, I like to do pilates, performance barre (a mixture of workout, pilates and ballet), aerial silk and meeting friends. Regards from Germany Christina
Originally from the UK, but sponsored through work. Lived in melborne 2years. Very sociable and outgoing, big lover of music, festivals, art and doing random fun stuff or exploring.....whether that's a new country, city or restaurant. Love spending my weekends out and about with friends. Very, clean and tidy :) looking for like minded people to share with in a homely space.
Hey guys, I'm an aspiring pastry chef looking for a place in the centre close to southern cross station. I am easy going, neat and extremely easy to live with. I am looking for a job so will mostly be out of the house most of the time. Not big on home parties so should be a quiet flatmate for the most part. I love hiking, painting and baking in my free time. I always have something sweet in the fridge that I am happy to share! :) Look forward to staying with some fun people!
Hey folks! My name is Octavio, and I am a fun and outgoing international student from Mexico, currently studying a master of Advertising at RMIT University. I have lived for the past year and a half with 3 friends in an amazing apartment within the CBD, but unfortunately the landlord will sell the property and asked us to move. About me: I spend my time either at uni, work or out socializing. I enjoy hanging out with friends, meeting new people, reading, drinking beer, among other standard stuff that 20 somethings like to do. In the past I have lived in NY, London, Shanghai and Melbourne. So based on my past experiences with roommates and flatmates, I would say that I am very easy to live with, very aware of personal space and like to share a beer/wine over a good chat when we bump into each other. Cheers!
Hey! I'm Haylene. I've started full time work in the allied health field this year and am looking for other young professionals to live with. I'm a fun, respectful, tidy housemate. I like hanging out after work for a chat or dinner. Love a good board game! Basically I am looking for somewhere with a chilled atmosphere and housemates to hang out with. I have an albino guinea pig named Coconut who would also be moving in. I'm happy to apply to the landlord to allow pets if that's an issue.
A bit about myself. I'm a 28yo girl from France and have been living in Melbourne for a couple years now. I am studying project management and working in retail. I'm super easy to leave with, like to have my own space but happy to share a meal/drink every now and then!
Greetings! I'm Sara and have returned from travelling Europe and some of Australia this year. I come back to a job as a social worker and am looking for a share house ideally with one other person. I am quite tidy, enjoy socialising but having alone time, adore cooking and going to food markets, go to yoga most days and up for trying new experiences. Looking for a place where I can chill out without any stress (my job can offer enough of it!) and looking for someone who is fair, friendly and reliable. Looking forward to connecting with people too!
Hi I'm Agustin (you can call me Tito) I'm from Chile!! Currently working in a furniture factory full time, and will start another job (part-time) as well. I'm looking for something right away since I have been in a hostel for too long and I have like 6 or 7 months left in this city. I don't mind getting a group and finding a house. I'm very friendly, quite, empathetic when it comes to living with other people, I clean after myself, I'm organized with my things, I like to cook a little bit, watch documentaries, music, stay chillin at home most of the time and occasionally to go out wild to chapel Street/acland street/CBD/whatever... I smoke but I don't mind going outside if it is THAT big of a deal. I respect other people's space but would also enjoy socialising with the people I live with and entertaining my or your friends! :)
I'm 27 years old, living in Perth but moving to Melbourne likely in the next month. I'm excited for a change of scene, to spend some time in Melbourne city, and to meet new people. I work in the mental health field and usually keep myself fairly busy. I'm interested in keeping fit, healthy eating, reading, Netflix, and like to go out for dinner, drinks and movies/theatre. I'm clean (but not obsessive), tidy, and think it is important to have respect for one's home and shared belongings. I think it's important to be friends with your housemate(s) and to be able to communicate about house matters, but also have respect for one another's space. I've lived in shared homes before and generally find this an enjoyable living situation.
Hi I'm Julian, I'm 29 y.o graphic designer — I work full time at a design studio in Collingwood. I work standard hours and keep things pretty low key during the week, though I do enjoy the odd glass of wine in the evenings. On weekends I like to catch up with friends, get out to gigs or exhibitions, catch a film or just hang in the sun, and I play a bit of soccer too. I enjoy the party times but have toned it down a bit in recent years. I'm keen to experience life on the north side, with the added bonus of being closer to work. I'm a pretty easy going guy and prefer living a social environment where sharing meals and a drink or two on the w/e is encouraged.
I'm an international student, 32 years old, ex-graphic designer, now getting into early childhood education. Easy going, working and studying, quite busy, tidy and organized, love to learn about everything, movies, comics, respectful with personal spaces.
