Hey, I’m an American from Atlanta heading to Australia this August to spend a year in Melbourne on a Work and Holiday Visa. I plan on working wherever I can find a decent job, and I also want to do graphic design/art on the side. Im very interested in art, music, and fashion. I’m looking for a flatmate that likes to socialize because I’m moving to Australia without any friends or family, and would like to be friends with my flatmate. I’m not picky about where I would live in the Melbourne area. My only requirement for the location is that it has to have easy access to public transportation. My flight to Melbourne arrives on August 14th, but I plan on staying in a hostel for the first couple weeks to meet/find roommates and look at potential properties. Feel free to message me with any questions!
Hey, I’m Monica. I moved to Melbourne from Brisbane in January this year and work full time in the city in marketing. I have a pretty standard 9-5pm schedule during the week and enjoy being active, getting outdoors and going hiking or cycling. On the flip side, I’m also a big fan of an evening spent on the couch with a cup of tea (or glass of wine, depending on how my week’s going). For the past six years I’ve lived with other young females and friends and am clean and respectful of personal space. I’m also looking for housemates, gals or guys, that I can come home to and have a chat or hang out with. Other than that I enjoy cooking, photography and am seriously considering knitting since this is my first Melbourne winter. I’m aiming to move at the start of September, but can do mid-August onwards for the right place. 6 month contract or longer and ideally, 3+ bedroom places.
My name is Haakon, I'm a 25 year old student from Norway. I'm moving to Melbourne on the 20th of July to start my masters degree at Monash University. I'm a easy going person who love sports (especially tennis) and a good laugh in a social setting, but I also respect privacy. For the last 4 years I've been living in a flat share so I'm used to keep it nice and tidy in the common areas.
I am a non-smoker girl looking for a private room in a share flat. I am a biologist working on science research. I am one of those persons who thinks that with an smile life tastes much better :) I am a tidy person and I bet for healthy lifestyle.
Hi! I'm Eden and I hail from San Francisco, California coming out on a working-holiday in Melbourne. I work in construction doing project management for commercial general contractors. I am an avid climber, runner, and a bit of a national park junkie. I love to travel and am always brainstorming my next big trip. A typical weekday for me ends sitting by the TV with wine or curling up with a good book. I am hoping to live in a social house with roommates who wouldn't mind helping me get used to my new home in Melbourne!
I am studying at Monash University. I'm looking to live in a quiet, clean and somewhere fun to live with easy going housemates. I keep everything tidy and clean and expect the same from my housemates. I am also open for teaming up and looking to move into a new house. I am also flexible with the duration of the stay and move in dates and can consider short term as well.
Originally from the UK but have been living a very unconventional existence in Aus for the last 8 years. I have a house in Perth but moved to Melbourne in January for an exciting change with my two beautiful Boston terriers, Dolores and Salvador. I am searching for somewhere/housemates who are pet friendly. I work nights and wake up late (I sleep really well and usually get woken up by the dogs). I attempt to exercise a lot as I have a vast love of food. I’m very open minded, positive & easy to get along with and would prefer to live with others who are easy going and not highly strung. I like people who are fun interesting but chilled and don’t take life or themselves too seriously. My interests include - Dogs (obviously) Alternative arts festivals Brunch Psychology Road trips around Aus Travel Hit me up if you feel we would be good housemates, ohh and I’m needing a garden for the dogs (always happy to chip on more for rent because of this)😊
I work full time as a hotel receptionist in the city and also study radiography at RMIT part-time. I've been living in share houses for the past 4 years so I definitely have a good understanding of sharing etiquette. I'm clean, tidy and respectful, a reasonably laidback person. I'm very social but enjoy my own space. I spend a lot of time at work but enjoy being out with friends and being active when I have spare time. Avid snowboarder, tend to disappear during the winter season. Keen to live in a house that feels like a home, with people who know how to function as adults (at least some of the time). Need on or off-street parking or access to a permit.
