Hi people, my name is Jess and I'm a pharmacist looking for a room to rent in Canberra for 6 months - I'll be working in Woden so somewhere nearby or with easy bus access would be ideal. I am originally from country NSW and have worked in a number of places in Australia including Alice Springs and stunning Jervis Bay. I have house shared with people of varying ages and backgrounds and enjoy meeting new people. I am easy going and tidy and enjoy exploring outdoors, playing sport and taking every opportunity to adventure. I'll be starting work 23 July so happy to move in that weekend (21-22) or two weeks earlier if preferred (6-7 July)
I'm a full time professional who has just moved to Canberra for a new position. I own my own home interstate but have lived in lots of sharehouses over the years so I am well versed in making it work and getting along with people. I am respectful and easy to get along with and ideally looking for somewhere to get my bearings and find my feet. its likely that I will not be around on weekends as I will mostly be out camping or riding my dirtbike (which I intend to put in storage).
My name is Ye. I'm a third year medical student at ANU. I'm doing my rural rotation in Eden at the moment and I'll be back in Canberra in two weeks. I'm a non-smoker and non-drinker with no pet. I'm tidy and respectful to others. I'm out and about or studying on most days, but would love to have a chat or hang out when I'm not too busy.
We are two nice, respectful and easy going guys who will be based in Canberra for 8 months for a job assignment from July until March next year. We’ll be working during the weekday (daytime) and probably out and anout sightseeing around Canberra on weekends. Very clean and tidy. Courteous of other people and their space. Happily entertain each other or conversely hang out and share a meal or watch some flicks. Look forward to hearing from you!
I'm a 23-year-old Filipina. I'm currently working as a part-time RN (Registered Nurse). I am very easy going. I love to chat/socialise at times in any way (movies, nightout, walking, window shopping or even sharing when going through tough times). In saying this, I also respect privacy and alone times. Being clean and tidy, especially in the kitchen are a big deal to me. In the rest of house, I'm not too OCD.
Hello! I am a recent high school graduate and have just moved to Canberra from Sydney to work here as an Apprentice in the public service for IT. I am of South Korean background and moved to Australia when i was younger. Currently I am staying with my sister while I find a place to move out to. I am very self aware and i actually enjoy cleaning up after self. I also enjoy company and definitely look forward to meeting new people and spending time together but i also understand and appreciate the need for privacy and time alone.
I am a friendly, easy going person. I enjoy meeting new people and would love to have some flatmates who like to share a drink and chat in the evenings. I do tend to be more of an introverted personality so am also happy to give people some space. I am tidy and respectful of shared space. I used to do alot of housesitting, and people often joked their house is cleaner when I leave than when I arrived! I work full time as a Dietitian at Canberra Hospital. I love my job and it keeps me very busy, both with hours at the hospital and I am involved in many extra events within the profession. I spend most of my free time catching up with friends and family, but also enjoy going for walks around the lake, cooking and baking, and reading or binging on netflix. Easily distracted by Kate Spade and Hendricks G+Ts.
Hey everyone I’ve been in Canberra for a year now and I’m looking for a fun but respectful sharehouse. I like cooking, movies, hiking, running and a bunch of other stuff. I’m quite, clean and respectful of other people’s space and property.
I have just moved to Canberra from a small town in the Snowy Mountains NSW and need to find a pet friendly place for me and my two pets. I have lived with housemates for 10 years - from many walks of life. I'm mature, reliable and laid-back. I am very self aware and responsible. I have a full time job in Canberra. I like wine, skiing, mountain bike riding, reading and movies. In summer I love getting outside most days doing something in the mountains or rivers and lakes with my dog Mack. A bit about my pets - one is a Tabby cat named Molly (3 years old), she's been an indoor and outdoor cat and is fine living with dogs and generally keeps to herself. The other is a Kelpie x Blue Heeler dog named Mack (6 years old), he is extremely intelligent and has a gorgeous temperament. He is great with kids and adults, cats and other dogs. My animals are well trained (as much as a cat can be) and are very well socialised with other people and other pets - including horses, chickens, goats etc. We have lived in suburbs and on farms. I've moved them around the country so we are all well travelled and easily adaptable.
Hi there, I'm a bubbly person who is quite friendly and interactive if engaged in conversation. I'm big on hygiene and keeping things clean and tidy. I'll be completing a clinical placement block in Woden starting on the 13th of August to the 26th of October. I'm looking for a place to stay preferably in South Canberra.
I'm looking for somewhere new to live. I'm 33, fairly artistic, and just returned from overseas. I've been a public servant for a decade but don't judge me for that - I try to have a life outside of work, which usually includes the gym, having a few drinks, learning French (bonsoir!), random outings and the occasional creative endeavor - which I may or may not try to rope you into. I just scored a government contract in the city so I'd prefer to live either near the city, or somewhere with good access to public transport. I don't smoke (but don't care if you do), don't have kids, don't start fires and always pay my rent on time. My special housemate skills include killing spiders, mastering the timer on the heater so the house is always warm, playing freezer tetris and going on random Ikea splurges. I'm reasonably tidy but not anal about it. I come with a very friendly Cavalier King Charles Spaniel named Dexter, and I've never had any issues adding him to my lease. He's good with other animals, especially dogs, and he's getting older so as long as there's somewhere he can pee, he doesn't need a huge yard (although he does need secure fencing). You can see pictures of him on the Insta account I've linked to my profile.
Hi, I'm Erin! I'm new to Canberra, and I'm looking for a place closer to work. I like books, video games, singing and animals, although I don't have any pets of my own. I'm friendly, and I'd love to get to know people in this city!
I work full time and normally keep pretty busy during the week so I tend to just chill out when I get home. On the weekends I love to get outdoors and have a beer. My main hobbies include snowboarding, mountain biking, gym and yoga. I don't have much in terms of furniture so a furnished room would be ideal, but not essential, and a lock up garage or somewhere to store push bikes and a few work related things would be awesome! I'm new to Canberra and not set on any particular area, i'd just love to find a place to share with other young people with similar interests. If you think i'd be a good fit in your place then hit me up :)
Hi, I'm Tapan 37 years old (single, very clean, genuine, responsible and honest person), I'm from Melbourne. I am planning to move to Canberra from 1st July 2018, and will work with Dept of Human Services. I'm software engineer and will be in Canberra for at least 4 months (but chances are I will be there for 12-18 months). I am looking for clean and furnished room (preferably with seperate bath, but flexible on this) with a car park close Greenway, ACT. If you are fine with above mentioned things, then please contact me. Regards, Tapan
I'm super passionate about the outdoors and the environment. I love spending my weekends camping, kayaking, bushwalking and scuba diving...anything outdoors really! I am moving to Canberra to take up a Science Policy Fellowship in the Department of the Environment and Energy and I'm looking for a sharehouse for at least 6 months. I've been sharehousing for 13 years so I'm very used to communal living and sharehouse setups and housetrained! I use a wheelchair so I'm looking for somewhere with minimal steps (if there's one or two I can ramp them) and preferably somewhere that I can park my car (on-street parking is fine). You can see pics of some of my outdoor adventures and get a sense of who I am at my blog I'm an easy going happy person. I enjoy hanging out with people and am always up for a cuppa and chat but also quite happy to spend time on my own. During the week I enjoy catching up with friends after work for dinner or going for a swim. On the weekend I'm typically diving or gone bush.
I'm a 46 year old professional from Sydney working for a company in Braddon. I'm planning to stay only 4 nights as I will be travelling to back to Sydney for the weekend.
Hey :) I'm a full-time PhD student at the ANU, very quiet and mostly keep to myself. I have lived in share houses for a long time and am very respectful of other people's space & privacy. I like to keep my room clean, and the common area as well when possible. Looking for an established quiet share house, or 1-2 similar-minded people to team up for a new lease. I don't have any furniture at the moment, but happy to buy if needed. Ideally I'd like to have my own bathroom and a parking space for my car. I also like modern houses/units/apartments with large walk-in robes. If this sounds like you don't hesitate to hit me up! Cheers
I'm an IT consultant of over 17 years, out-going and friendly by nature, who believes that happy living with housemates comes from mutual respect, being mindful of each other, and tidying up after yourself (especially in the kitchen and bathroom!). My professional work involves empathetically engaging with work colleagues, and I bring those same skills to how I interact with people in my everyday life. Previously having been married for 15 years and raising children/teenagers, I understand very much how to successfully navigate sharing a house where there are different perspectives on tidiness, noise levels, and different personalities. I've also lived in shared houses since then and really enjoyed those experiences of meaningfully connecting with people. I also appreciate the need for space, and using effective communication to create clear understanding about individual requirements and expectations that everyone can agree to. I have started on a 6 month contract with DHS in Canberra (June 2018). I live in Melbourne, so my search for a shared house in Canberra to stay during weekdays and occasional weekends (especially for skiing!). I'd like very much to create a feeling of "home away from home", though I am minimalist by nature so won't have that much personal property that I'll want to have with me. I enjoy cooking and work by the rule of cleaning up after myself as I go along. I enjoy being fit and active, so hoping to find time in Canberra to do dancing, cycling, indoor rock climbing, snow sports and possibly get back into yoga if the schedule permits. I also enjoy relaxing with a good movie, or some music, even a chat over a beer or glass of wine. As a professional consultant, my work responsibilities are a bit longer than 9-5, so taking time to engage in these social/healthy activities is important to me.
