Hi I'm looking to share share short term from Jan 6 to March 31 with a possible extension to June and hopefully, beyond. If you have space for a house panther (my rather chunky black cat) or are looking to find a property, then I'm happy to team-up for a long term lease. I'm an APS worker and I've been spending my weekends chillin' and checking out Canberra's art scene. I like it here! There's so much on! The basic stuff: My budget is 250-300per week ex-bill's. I'm happy to share an apartment with one person or a house with two. Please only message me if your listing is within the suburbs I've specified, Cheers. Other good stuff: I'm not a party person and tend to keep quiet and friendly around the home. I'm a second-hand book store and tea-chat kind of person. I also like walks and overgrown gardens. I'm tidy and will keep the house fresh and clean. I am a Queensland ring-in so this chilly spring weather has been a surprise! I will happily have a preemptive chat with you about heating and elect bills in case I'm around long enough to need it next year. One other thing: if you happen to be offering a) town a house b) a ground floor unit b) anywhere that's pet friendly and you've always dreamt of sharing your pad a handsome house panther...I know a guy. Cheers, Rose
Hi! I'm a 29 year old guy from Perth, moving to Canberra for a job at the Commonwealth Treasury in mid-January 2019. Outside of work, I like to keep active a few days a week, I love heading out with friends for food and drinks, so always up for a new cafe or bar recommendation! I also enjoy reading, movies, live music, hiking, etc. Excited to explore a new city and the East coast generally. I'm a quiet and respectful housemate, always pull my own weight and keep things clean and tidy. I'm always on time with rent and bills. Looking for a housemate(s) who is/are similarly respectful, always happy to have a chat/drink/share a meal etc. Happy to answer any questions if you have any! Cheers
Hello Everyone, I am friendly and outgoing. I do love food so definitely enjoy going out for a treat but am happy to stay home to cook and have communal meals. I am a quiet and clean individual and respect privacy. I work full time at a car rental company which consist of working either at the Airport or their city office. I am on a rotating, shift work roster. I can start from as early as 7am and finish as late as Midnight. I am looking for a fully furnished room with a car space or off street parking, internet included preferred, bills included preferred in a share house. I would like to live with individuals who are also clean and quiet but I'm not to hard on being super clean but at least neat and tidy. If you feel i will be a potential candidate, please don't hesitate to contact me.
G'day Work full time and doing my maters too, social and friendly, respect to be respected, chill in or out, enjoys a beer (stout only :) ). happy to share a meal or too if needed. Happy to keep to myself or have a social meal or a movie. I’m easy going, clean and tidy. Flexible on furniture, move in dates (ideally end Jan to mid Feb), length of stay, and suburbs. Looking forward to meeting you.
Laid back 24 year old working full time. I have a car, two bikes and a really funky arm chair. Looking for a new place to really become home in this city. Happy to catch up at the end of the day over a drink or to just do my own thing. In my down time, I like baking, knitting, and exploring Canberra by bike.
Hey! I'm a friendly and considerate full time working professional looking for a peaceful place in Canberra's inner suburbs. I love the outdoors, a good book, and baking a tasty sourdough bread. I'm hoping to find some easy-going and social housemates to live with.
Hi all! We are two easy-going, fun-loving young adults (not a couple) who are looking for a large room, two small rooms, or a granny flat to rent together as our previous accommodation has become quickly unstable. We are both hospitality workers with a regular income, and in our spare time we are quite introverted and will either go to a friend's house or hang out and nap, watch Netflix, and cook a bit of food. We like to have an occasional drink on the weekends but we don't get loud or rowdy. We're currently staying at a friend's house - their real estate agent can provide us with a good reference, but it isn't a long-term solution as their house is already full. We have a small black and white dog, who is super loving and has a written reference on her behalf, so we'd need somewhere pet friendly. We are looking for a stable tenancy and hope that you will consider our profile. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us on 0426200100. Thank you for your time.
I'm Christine, about to begin work at Treasury in Canberra as a graduate. I love hiking, travelling, a good book, cooking and getting to know other people. I am sociable and would be very happy to share meals and time with housemates. I'm hoping to find some easy-going and social housemates to live with that are also open to occasional wine and cheese nights and small gatherings on weekends. I have experience living in sharehouses before, am clean, responsible and smoke/drug free and would like my housemates to be the same.
Hi! I'm looking for a short-term rental starting early Jan through till the end of Feb. I'm from Melbourne and will be completing an internship while I'm in Canberra. I'm 23 (in a few days!) and will hopefully be finished with uni next year. I love travelling and exploring new places and spent most of the last year and a half studying in Europe. I've lived in share houses before in 2 different cities, am very clean and tidy, love meeting new people, but also appreciate my alone time. Would prefer a place that's fairly central to the Civic area.
Hello! I am Ellena. I am currently studying at the ANU (doing Masters in Applied Anthropology and Participatory Development). I also work as an English tutor for primary school kids and do a spot of babysitting. I have been in Canberra for about a year, after moving from Sydney. I'm originally from the Riverina (a country gal at heart). When I'm not panic-writing essays, I love being social, getting to know new people, cracking classic jokes and cooking up a storm. I also love hiding away in my room to watch something classy (example: Dancing Queens, Peep Show, 30 Rock, Incredibles 2 or conspiracy theory videos on YouTube). I'm pretty easy going in sharehouse, having lived in a couple over the years.I'm a tidy and respectful housemate - I don't mind cleaning. I think my hobbies would be cooking/eating, occasionally painting, reading and writing. I am looking for like-minded people. I would love to find a comfortable and relaxed home to come back to.
Hello! My name is Courtney and I work full-time for a cultural institution in Canberra. I am generally quiet housemate and keep to myself during the week, however I like the odd chat and wine and cheese night (but I also like a beer) around weekends. I enjoy watching and going to the movies, exploring Canberra and relaxing on my weekends off. I also love to talk travel and am learning French. I have experience living in share houses and would like to live with people of similar age and/or interests. I am honest, reliable and a tidy housemate who would appreciate the same in my fellow housemate/s.
I am a 21-year-old kiwi, moving to ANU in 2019 to complete my honours in Psychology. I love sports and have played netball at premier level in Wellington for the past 3 years. I love the outdoors and adventure. In my spare time, I like to read, play sport, go on adventures, visit art galleries and watch films. I am very friendly, keep to myself, organised and hard-working. I also am very clean and tidy, and have two years of experience flatting so understand how to live with others. I am looking for a room ideally in a flat share. Please be in touch if you have anything available.
Hi, I'm Sam. I have just moved back to Canberra after travelling overseas for five months, having recently graduated from ANU with a degree in genetics and immunology. I'm clean, professional, gay, and I love cooking and gardening. I'm looking to find a share house with my mate Zhong (he's just a friend lol).
Hi, I'm Tyler! I finished my uni studies this year (Psyc and Commerce) and am moving to Canberra for a grad role at the APS in February 2019. Last year's grads have told me the rental market gets real rough closer to Feb, so happy to start looking a little earlier to make things easier! I've lived out of home for the last year, and am a tidy housemate. I spend my off time reading and playing keyboard (I can plug in headphones so I'm not a nuisance). I'm occasionally active, riding my pushbike or going for a run or hike. I'm social and up for a chat, board games and cards but also enjoy time on my own. My gf currently works in Sydney so I'll commute up there some weekends. 1-2 others would be preferable with a private bathroom but that's not super necessary. I'm looking near the Parliamentary Triangle to make the work commute easier but am unsure which suburbs are best, so I'm pretty flexible with location! Please don't hesitate to get in touch!
Hey I'm Morry @ ANU and work in retail. Balanced range of hobbies. Heavy workload during semester (health science). Moved to ACT from Byron area at the start of the year. Currently living in Ainslie and would like a change. I value humor, instinctual respect and effective/easy communication. Looking to live in a (leafy?) sleek, modern and organised house/apartment with character. Room must be unfurnished. Flexible with move dates. Swing us a message with ideas and we can go from there! Morry
Hey 😊 I'm Chris and I'm 26 and work full-time in wealth management. I'm easy going and outgoing, pretty clean and handy around the house. I'm looking at moving to Canberra beginning of Jan to be closer to work and friends. Some things I love include: coffee, wine, movies, the beach, hiking, sailing, reading, hanging with mates, indoor plants, cooking & eating food - just to name a few.
I'm an easy going, fun 23 year old currently working full time in event management. I've been in Canberra for 5 years and just returned from exchange in the USA. I'm usually pretty busy but in my free time I'm usually at the gym, catching up with friends or binge watching Netflix. I'm fairly easy going, love a clean house and have lived in previous share houses so I appreciate other people's need for quiet time!
Hi! I am a new graduate relocating to Canberra early next year. I am a very relaxed and easy going person who loves being active and exploring the great outdoors. I pride myself on being tidy and well organised and am a highly reliable and considerate person. I am always happy to have a chat but I also respect and appreciate quiet time. I am looking for a like-minded person who is tidy, considerate and respectful. An added bonus would be someone who can give me great book recommendations! I am a bit of a book nerd!
Hi I'm a pretty standard 20-something looking to move into a share house. I've been living solo for the last 18 months and would now like to find a more social living arrangement that's also close to work. I come debt and drama free and like to think I've got a pretty good handle on being an adult, so no need to worry about any of the small stuff. All bills always paid on time, I'll even remember to put the bin out. I have a Suzuki Swift (nice and small) and a motorcycle, so looking for some form of parking as my only must. They can both fit in one space, though preference is to have the bike off the street. I work full time + study (APS), have family in Canberra and a couple of hobbies/commitments throughout the week, so Monday - Friday I'm usually out of the house at least a few nights. If I am home I'll be looking forward to something low-key, though always have energy to go to a restaurant etc. I'm an ex Landscaper, so if there's a garden to look after I'll be an asset to the household. I like to be neat and tidy, minimal where I can be and don't mind rolling up my sleeves for what ever reason. I come with everything I need, and am happy to either leave things behind or contribute in the way of furniture or appliances depending on the setup and where I can. Fun wise, I don't mind a night out with friends, a night in with friends, bbqs, movie night on the couch, walks up the mountains, all the normal stuff. I don't think there is anything I get up to that one would call weird, nor is there anything I specifically hate doing :) Just like to have a good time. Look forward to meeting you.
