I'm moving to Canberra from Sydney in Feb (for a grad job). I'm open to sub-letting or signing a lease (happy to work out the best option with the right housemate). I'm tidy, fun-loving (but responsible) and friendly. I work hard, and travel to Sydney, so may not always be around, but will always be tidy and respectful of our space. I'm social and active and love exploring both cities and nature (will always bring baked goods on adventures!). I come with Harvey, my little house trained bunny (hear me out!). He's like a tiny dog, without the barking or big poos! He lives inside (VERY clean), and follows me around the house to play/for company, but can easily live outside! He’s grey with floppy ears. Accepting him would mean the world to me (happy to pay a little more too). If you think we could be part of your home, we'd love to say hello!!!
Hello my name is Gemma and I just moved back from QLD. I am looking for a room for at least 6 months for myself. Currently I work full time Monday-Friday as a Case Worker in Braddon. I am looking for a furnished room if possible. About myself: I enjoy spending time outdoors running, hiking and camping. I am social and love a chat, I am neat and tidy and happy to contribute to cleaning the house regularly. Please get in touch if you think your place might suit! :) Cheers Gemma.
My name is Kate and I am 27 and have recently decided to make the move to Canberra from the Sunshine Coast. I will be working full time in a law firm from the end of March. I am a friendly person and find it very easy to get along with other people. I am clean and tidy and respectful of other peoples space. I am not looking for a party house but I really enjoy a few wines on a weekend and a good netflix sesh :) I am available to move in from 23rd of March :)
Hi,I’m a Italian girl who move to Canberra one year ago. Now i work full time as a chef in a Italian restaurant in Kingston,Agostini’s and I would like to move close to work. I’m a very easy going person, organise and clean. I like spend time with friends but I also enjoy having some quiet time.
I'm a full-time researcher in my mid-20s making the move from Sydney to Canberra in early March and looking for a place to call in Canberra. I love playing social sport (volleyball and dodgeball) during the week and having a drink and a boogie on the weekend with mates. Very clean/neat and ideally looking for a place where people are open to hanging out and having a chat in the evenings.
Hi all, It's Namyoung :) simple things about myself, Asian female, a ft student, from South Korea, friendly&tidy, I love chatting with flatmates and having dinner together sometimes but NOT a party house. I'm finding a room within walking distance or approx 15-20mins by bike from ANU. If the room has a separate toilet and bathroom, I can pay up to 280pw inclusive of all bills. Pls msg me if u r intersted in it. I prefer a female house but a mixed up accommodation is fine as well.
My name is Manann (it's Celtic) and I am a researcher with the Department of Agriculture. Aside from doing tops research, I'm also a keen bushwalker and mountain bike rider. In my spare time I draw, paint, read books and play guitar. I'm a relaxed individual who appreciates space but would love to live with others who enjoy housemate dinners and hanging about in the lounge room. It would be great to find an equally relaxed house, where flatmates are not too uptight (on the cleanliness side of things) and generally refill the kettle after they use it.
Moved over from Adelaide for a job in the APS (surprise). I spend most of my time either reading or out and about catching up with friends. I love a good hike around many of Canberra's mini-mountains. Respectful of personal space but more than happy to participate in communal dinners and enjoy the odd post-work debrief (I cook a mean pad thai). Laid back, house-trained, and I come with a brand new Breville Barista Express!
I have just moved to Canberra for full time work. I have lived in share houses for 3 years and am very tidy and clean. I am happy to have a chat over dinner or have a glass of wine with housemates but also enjoy quiet nights through the week. On weekends I am very keen to explore Canberra. Looking to move in ASAP ideally to an established share house, if not I'm happy to teamup! I do have a car and plan on riding to work so would need a carpark/on street parking. Send me a message if you think I'll fit into your house!
I'm looking for somewhere short-term and preferably furnished (but not a deal-breaker to get my things out of storage in Sydney). I enjoy living in a busy house as I'm quite social. When I’m home I like cooking, playing music and hanging out in the garden (before Canberra becomes freezing cold)!!! I’d prefer inner north to be close to friends. I'm currently working in Deakin - I've worked here in a marketing role for 2 and a half years. I also work a couple of nights a week in a bar in Braddon so would be great to walk to and from work if I can. Living with great people is most important so happy to look at other locations. On weekends when I’m not working I'll be out and about or travelling to visit friends. I’m pretty much the perfect housemate - hardly home. I love animals so a pet would be amazing! It’s also a bonus if great coffee is within walking distance Send me a message if you have a room becoming available. Can be flexible with move-in date
My name is Jack Byrne; I am a full time post grad student at ANU (international Relations). If you are looking for someone who is courteous, well experienced in share houses, can be social or as quiet as needed, always up for a good chat and a drink or two, and loves to cook, I am your man. My hobbies include biking, gaming, swimming, cooking, pretty much everything, but especially travelling with my partner (long distance, just assume single accom)
Chloe is studying a bachelor of arts at ANU, majoring in human rights and international relations. Rania (in the picture) is studying psychology at uc. Our current lease ends on the 20th of March, so we're looking for 1-2 new housemates and a new home! We're looking for a tidy, left-leaning, vegan/vego friendly, student home within short driving distance from both unis. We're both respectful, friendly people, and excited to meet our new potential roomies:) - LGBTQI+ friendly
The best word to describe me would be relaxed. I get along with most people and am very accommodating of different wants and needs - I want to make sure everyone is happy and comfortable in their home. I keep to myself for the most part but I'm always happy to chat and a laugh (about 80% of what I say is a joke, I'm having a tough time writing this up so seriously). I run my own business so I mostly work from home but I have an office in the city that I usually work from 2 days a week. Otherwise, I spend most of my time gaming, reading and listening to/making music (usually with headphones). I also love nature, climbing, hiking and camping. I'm a night owl, usually up until 3AM or so but I'm very quiet and make sure I'm not disturbing people. I'm a fairly neat and tidy person and I like to keep a clean kitchen but I'm definitely not a neat-freak. I've happily adjusted to different cleanliness standards before from very high to reasonably low and I'm more than willing to put in more effort if that's your preference. I believe most issues that pop up between housemates can be solved with good communication. I've lived in a few sharehouses in Canberra over the years, big and small groups and different gender splits, so I'm fairly experienced. If that all sounds good to you I'm sure we'll get along well :)
Hi there! I'm a triathlete who lives an active lifestyle while being very neat and organized. I always clean up after myself and I am quiet most of the times. I don't smoke and added to this, I always follow all the house rules and would only use the necessary areas such as the kitchen, bathroom and bedroom. Aside from going to work (I work as an Early Childhood Educator - and yes I can babysit if needed), I'm usually out on training either swimming, cycling, running or working out at the gym so I prefer to be located close to any of these facilities. Also, I would thrive well in a modern establishment with respectful, quiet and tidy housemates. Utilities/Facilities that I'm looking for: -Shops and groceries like Coles -Nearby gym and swimming pool -Reverse cycle aircon -Washing Machine and Dryer for clothes -NBN internet that can play YouTube videos in HD without delay (I used to live at a flatshare where it takes 5-10 mins to open my e-mails sometimes disconnecting in between and that was not fun at all) -Storage space for my 2 bikes - 1 road bike used for commuting and the other for training -I have a car but offstreet parking is okay for me. -A small yard or area with access to tap water to wash my bikes (optional) -Unused spare room or garage space (optional): Will primarily use this as a study/gaming/training room for my Ironman races that I'll be participating in months to come so expect me to be in this room most of the time. If you wish to contact me, please send me a message with a detailed info of the following: - Yourself - Flatmates - Room - PHOTOS - Viewing times - House rules And oh, I'm seeking for a home that has NO pets in it. So let me know if my profile suits your home. Cheers.
Postgraduate student doing environmental studies in ANU but also working part-time in retail at Woden Westfield. Easygoing and super friendly. Open-minded and respectful person. Fascinate about trying new things and experiencing adventures of life. Love all kinds of outdoor activities but also a fan of movies and TV series. Current housemates accredited ideal housemate type. Searching for good homes to move in sooner or later before May 2018. I have a car and a bike, so parking availability is essential.
Hi there, I will move down to Canberra from Sydney for study and work in late Feb or early Mar. I am looking for one or two females/couple to share a flat with for at least 6 months or longer, but I am flexible with the length. I am an easy going and friendly person. I like to make friends, and wish we could become good friends to hang out and have a talk with. But I do respect others' privacy at the same time. I have experience of living with a family with little kid or females over 5 years, so I have learnt how to be considerate to housemates. I am also a quiet, clean, tidy and organised person. I would like to have a room with build-in wardrobe, ideally also is furnished (but I am flexible with that if the rent is a bit lower :P). I have a car, so off-street parking is necessary, of course garage is perfect! I do want the location of the house/flat has an easy access to public transport too, although lower frequency is acceptable. I look forward to hearing some good news from you guys! :)
Hi Friends :) About me: I'm 27, originally from Melbourne, and a friendly, outgoing and respectful housemate. I'm clean and tidy, and I've lived in sharehouses for a while now (so I know the drill). I work full time and recently moved back o Canberra to take up a job as a government lawyer. I'm a confessed law nerd but I also love reading/talking about pretty much any topic. I also enjoy spending my time discovering great hip hop music, and going to hip hop dance classes.
