Hi I'm Amanti. I'm 22 years old and I work in plant health policy at the Department of Agriculture while completing a bachelor of science at ANU. I'm a pretty chill person, I like my glass of wine and good food (all cuisines!). Would love to hang out with roommates and have a chat or two, but I will also give you your privacy when you need to. I like to cook on occasion and as an Asian I'm obligated to cook waaay more than needed and feed any hungry people nearby ;) Somethings you'll get from me as a roommate: - I cook any and all cuisines including Sri Lankan (specialty), Thai, Korean, Italian and Moroccan -I love art and interior design, so I'm all about keeping a clean and lovely place - I like to chill with a glass of wine or a gin and tonic at the end of the week and a good book (to be honest, at the moment I have boarded the netflix binge train ....) .
Hello, my name is Will, 23 years old, a graduated BA accounting student from Sydney. I just moved down to Canberra and find a place to live and get friends as well. I am outgoing, love playing games, watching movies and series show, and love coffee. I am kind of flexible and easy going. I love talking and I am sociable. I am looking for the place around the Civic as I am working full time in Civic.
I am moving from Melbourne to Canberra to buckle down and finish my degree in computing after taking some time off to work, travel, and pursue some personal goals. Ideally looking for somewhere to call home, although I'm happy with temporary arrangements as well. I've been filling out 1form applications for almost five years now, so needless to say that I'm fully house trained. I am incredibly easy-going and am respectful of others' space and privacy. I recently ruptured my PCL so my interests have recently become a lot more sedentary. In my spare time, I like eating, cross-stitching, playing board games, exploring the city, and binging on Netflix. I'm a bit of a green thumb and am big on sustainable living. I'm also an advocate for mindfulness and have been trying to live life more deliberately. I try to keep active, although lately that's been mostly limited to the gym and cycling as of late. I tend to keep busy, but am more than keen for a chat with an occasional glass of wine. P.S. I can and will happily cook for you! P.P.S I can also come with an xbox one with kinect and apple TV
Hello! I'm Jessica and I am moving to Canberra from Sydney for full time work so I'm looking for a place to move into. I tidy up after myself, am considerate of others and enjoy being active outdoors. I am looking for somewhere close to work in the city as I don't drive so place a good 20 min walk would be ideal. Favourite hobbies of mine include dancing, swimming and having a good book to read in nature. Looking to move in in the next 4-6 weeks :)
I'm a single professional in real estate with no real social life. I work 6 days a week and usually spend most of my (very minimal) spare time at the gym, cooking, or watching Parks and Rec/sleeping. I have a bunch of furniture but am happy to store some if necessary, currently living alone and looking to save money. I do have an indoor cat, she is pretty useless though and manages to cause no damage apart from my couch. She is fully toilet trained and has embarrassing cat anxiety so is pretty happy curled up on my bed. If you hate cats, she will avoid you. If you like cats, she's pretty much a hilarious alien so you'll vibe. Would prefer an ensuite but not necessary. I will need at least one car space as I drive a lot for work, so will need a secure place to keep it. Thanks y'all
Hi, I'm Kelly, nice to meet you! I'm an undergrad student at ANU studying International Relations/Arts; I tried living on-campus and found it isn't really my style (and also a little out of my budget) so I'm looking for a few people to share a place with, and hopefully make a bit of a home rather than just living in the same building. I tend to keep to myself, but I'm equally happy to join in a group Netflix marathon/house dinner/night out/board games/whatever else we think of if the occasion arises. I'm not much of a cook, but I love to bake and will happily trade baked goods for dinners! In my spare time, I read a lot and listen to music a lot (with headphones!), and love to talk about both; I go to the gym a few times a week (a buddy would be fun if you're ever interested); and I practise yoga and meditation, although neither as often as I should. If you feel like we'd be a good fit living together, shoot me a message and we'll go for coffee and figure things out from there :D
Hi! I am a 22 year old female seeking a room or house to live in in a good few months. I wont be moving to Canberra until January 2019 but I'm putting this out there early just in case. I work full time in aged care and am gone during the weekdays, times do tend to vary. On weekends I enjoy spending time with my friends and most Saturday nights I am out, though I'm not a massive partier so you won't have to worry about me bringing the party home or being too boisterous haha. I have an adorable dog, who may seem scary because he is quite big, but he has a heart of gold and is the biggest sook of a dog you'll ever know. He think's he's a lap dog really. He is 2 years old so he has grown out of his puppy stage so there's not much worries about him being destructive or anything. He gets regularly walked. He does tend to cry a little when he is left outside alone, but he will get over it eventually. He doesn't bark or cause any trouble. He sleeps inside with me, that is a necessity as if he gets locked outside he tends to panic and runs away, and he has slept on my bed since the day he was born basically haha.
I'm a third-year ANU student. I love great chats but also personal space. I'm really tidy and am keen for to take part in the cleaning roster or anything like that. I'm a department officer at the ANU Students Association so will have a steady income to pay fortnightly/monthly rent.
Im an APS worker and student. I'm currently working in Canberra from (Mon - Thu) and study in Sydney for the rest of the week. I am clean, tidy and tend to use the Oxford comma only in situations that are ambiguous. I love food in all it's forms (except, I am grieved to say, that I am part of the small proportion of the population that is stricken with the affliction that makes coriander taste like a combination of soap and Mortein).
I'm a 22 year old Laboratory Medicine (RMIT) student moving to Canberra for a 16 week work placement near the Calvary Hospital so I'm looking for a place within walking distance. I'm clean, quiet and prefer to keep to myself but won't mind hanging out with housemates occasionally too :)
I’m a 22 year old female moving from Sydney to Canberra to start a full-time job. I’m super easy going and like to be social but enjoy my personal space and very respectful of others. I’ve lived in share houses for a few year now and I’m very clean and tiny. I like living an active lifestyle and looking forward to exploring Canberra. I also love cooking and baking so expect to come back from work/uni/whatever to a variety of baked goods. Looking for somewhere ideally in Belconnen but as I’m new to the area I’m pretty flexible on this. If your in Sydney and want to catch up for a coffee let me know!
Hello future housemates! My name is Shri and I'm a full-time young professional working in the defence industry. I'm a healthy eater, and I like to keep myself active and social. I'm honest, responsible, and clean. I respect privacy, but it's also cool to kick it if we vibe. If we don't, that's cool too 🙂. I value open, honest communication and if there are any issues or problems iIlike to get those out in the open and sorted out. If you think we might be good housemates feel free to give me a call. looking forward to meeting you!
Hello! My name is Allan Sko and I'm the Publisher of local entertainment guide BMA Magazine, which keeps me out of trouble (or in trouble, as the case may be). I'm a second generation Canberran (my Mum was born here in 1944, back when this was nothing but pastures and fields) but I spent my formative years (10 - 18) in England and thus have an amusing twang to my accent. I'm an easy-going, flexible kind of fella who is equally happy hanging out with fellow flatmates watching films/shows, playing games be they of the board or computer variety and simply shooting the breeze, or allowing people their personal space unbothered. I have a degree in house cleaning with majors in vacuuming and toilet cleaning. I enjoy going out to catch gigs, theatre shows and movies, as well as staying in binge-watching shows and reading. Also, being the BMA Publisher gives you the keys to the city in a sense of scoring free tickets, so I would be more than happy to take anyone along for a jaunt. I am also a divorcee and proud father of two children, but this won't factor into the space. Don't hesitate to ask any questions you may have. In the meantime, I hope this finds this well, I look forward to potentially meeting you, and best of luck with the search!
I grew up in Brisbane, and relocated to Sydney in July 2017 for work, and have now decided to move to Canberra to study my Masters. At this stage I'm not sure what my working arrangements will be, but I am a lawyer, so I will be engaged in at least part time work during normal working hours in Canberra. I currently live in a four bedroom share house in Redfern, and have loved my experience here. I count my housemates among my closest friends. I'm usually always up for a chat, but completely understand the need for space. Let me know if you think I might be a good fit for your house!
I'm a 24yr old guy, working full time as a carpenter, easy going, will pull my weight around the house. I'm always up for a chat, drink or board games, but i am respectful of peoples privacy and time to them self and will expect the same in return.
I'm a 23-year-old Filipina. I'm currently working as a part-time RN (Registered Nurse). I will be looking for another health facility to do casual or part-time job once I found accommodation. When I'm not at work, I usually stay home to do self-study. I'm passionate about my career so I always take time to develop my skills and knowledge. I have lived in other shared accommodation before so I'm very much aware of the protocols involving shared accommodation such as paying bills on time, keeping the place clean and tidy and respecting other tenants' privacy. In saying that, I'm also easy going. I love to chat/socialise at times in any way (movies, nightout, walking, window shopping or even sharing when going through tough times). Being clean and tidy, especially in the kitchen are a big deal to me. In the rest of house, I'm not too OCD. Please feel free to message me if you think I'm suitable to be your housemate.
Hello! I am a student at ANU in my final year of study in Sustainability and Enviro Science. I have just relocated to Canberra after some time in Perth and Melbourne. I have lived in share-houses before and am very considerate of others, clean up after myself and always do my share of household tasks. I love adventures in nature, playing/listening to music (don't worry, its quiet), and supporting social and environmental justice causes. I am hoping to find a house with heating (this Canberra winter is a killer), friendly people in their 20s who are reasonably social- I would love a cuppa tea or a glass of wine and chats every now and then, or the occasional shared meal etc. I do tend to get busy and need my time at home to recharge but still love some social times, and am interested in living in more of a "Home" than just a room in a house. Can move in late July but I am pretty flexible for the right place and absolutely happy to pay rent earlier if needed, or move in a bit later (August 1st would be the latest).
I am a student starting a masters degree at UC in July 2018 looking for a quiet and relaxed place to stay at for six months to one year or more. I’m currently based in Brisbane moving to Canberra late July. I’m very friendly, clean and tidy person and respect others. Hoping to hear from anyone.
Hi future housemates, My name is Richard, I'm 29 and working full-time in the APS. I'm very laid back and sociable so get along with just about anyone. I keep pretty active, used to be a keen rower and now have a go at just about anything to stop going stir crazy! I've lived in share houses before so I'm happy living with housemates, doing my bit around the house, chilling out at home and respecting each other's space. I am neat and tidy, non smoker, social drinker but definitely not a huge party animal. Looking for a larger room as I have a King sized bed to accommodate my height.
