Hi! I'm a recent Computer Science Graduate who's moving to Canberra from Newcastle to work full time doing Cyber Security Consulting in the private sector. i'm clean and tidy and like to help around the house. I have a quiet personality however love to socialise. I'll be working the majority of the day, however at night i like to relax and play games, go to the gym or watch some netflix. If you have a room to offer or would like me to team up with you, I’d love to hear from you! Cody :)
I have been in the Navy since I left school but have just recently discharged in Feb and now I have a full time job with Department of Education in the city. I have been in Canberra since 2014 and now I am loosing my housemates as they are moving interstate. One of them is my boyfriend and he has just started a new course and now lives in Wagga with the Air Force. So depending on his schedule I’ll be traveling there some wknds and he’ll be visiting me some wknds. I am quite active and enjoy anything involving the outdoors. I love checking out new restaurants and bars around Canberra, going for coffee and/or brunch, but also cook for myself most days of the week. I appreciate my own space but also will not say no to a chat over a glass of wine or food. I am a pretty ‘chilled out’ person, am clean and easy to get along with.
I’m a young professional originally from Sydney, about to make the move to Canberra for professional life and super excited :) I love film, food and cooking, good wine, spending time with friends and family, and doing any outdoor activities such as hikes and swimming.
Hi, I'm Stacy! I'm 25 and I am working full-time in government. I am active and social and love keeping busy. I am a relaxed, clean and tidy person and I am also very respectful of personal space but enjoy relaxing and socialising over a glass of wine. I am looking for a place to move into by the end of the year, and happy to move into an existing sharehouse or start a new one (would love to look for a nice 2 bedroom 2 bathroom place with one other person). If you have any questions for me please don't hesitate to ask!
I needed a delicious glass of Malbec to start this profile. If you don't know what Malbec is.....then listen closely. What you are hearing is the sound of Argentinian winemakers weeping uncontrollably. That was a touch dramatic... Anyway, about myself. I'm 34, full time professional and former public servant (now I work for a certain New Zealand based outdoor gear retailer). If I've learnt anything from living in 9 cities on 3 continents, it's that flexibility, a good sense of humour, and compassion go a long way. I enjoy a social drink and you're likely to find me in the kitchen with a glass of red and something delicious in the pan. And yes, I clean up after myself:) While I do love sincere conversation and genuinely like to connect with the people I'm living with, I'm also very respectful of others' space and privacy. If I've had a hard day I'll probably retreat to my room to watch Scandinavian crime dramas and possibly indulge in some connoisseur icecream. Having lived in a few share houses, it's about balance. I'm one of those rare people who straddles the introvert/extrovert divide (INFP/ENFP split), so I tend to get along well with both because I have both those aspects to my personality. Wow, this is starting to feel like an essay, so I won't keep you much longer. I'm just a fan of the written word, and I generally don't do things by half-measure. What am I looking for in the ideal room? Hopefully it's large enough to at least fit a double bed, desk, chair, and set of drawers. I would love to find a furnished room, but if it's unfurnished, it's nothing Ikea can't remedy (and watching me assemble Ikea furniture is amusing....like watching fur seals trying to go up a staircase. It's a trainwreck but you can't look away...) Anything else I should mention about myself? I enjoy healthy food, good books, good tv series, current affairs (I was an Asian Studies and Language major at uni), languages (a little Korean and French), exercise, and if it weren't for a somewhat recent MTB crash on Stromlo, I'd probably be mountain biking every other day. At the moment I'm just filling the void with some good hill-running. So yes, if you're looking for an easy going, responsible, down to earth, humorous, and tidy housemate...please get in contact:) I'm ready to move from about November 20th but I'm flexible. Getting in contact: I work full-time so the best way to get in touch is by email or text message. Look forward to hearing from you :) Cheers, Marty
Professional looking for an easy going housemate (preferably female) and a neat house to share or rent alone if 1 bedder, in inner north and open to explore other areas if the house appeals. I'm vegetarian and love coffee, on the weekends i like to explore the outdoors and often I go on holidays travelling to the distant mountains. I'm originally from India and have moved from Sydney early this year. I prefer a room with en suite/own bathroom, I do have furniture that I would be happy to bring. Happy to discuss further..... Feel free to reach out if you have a place to share which fits the above. Cheers Vineeta
My name is George and I have just moved up to Canberra for work (full-time) and I am looking for a share place to live. A little bit about myself: I am generally pretty relaxed - while I do like my down time, I do enjoy a chat or occasional meal with my roommates. I like to keep fit. I run, swim, do yoga, so I tend to be out a fair bit doing something active. I don't tend to have people over - I usually prefer to go out when catching up with friends. I do like to keep a clean place, and will always be respectful of my roommates space and property. I am pretty flexible on location, move-in date and length of stay. Please feel free to ask any questions.
I am looking for a short-term possibility close to civic as I am working full time at the moment. I am a responsible, clean person, jewellery designer running my own business. Please let me know if you are interested. Thanks
Hi, I’m planning to move to Canberra from Sydney. I’m a fun, easy going person who’s very sociable and easy to get along with. I work full time, night shift and day shifts, so I’m not home too often. But when I am, I’m clean and tidy, and will always help out with housework. In my spare time I love to play video games, watch Netflix and go to the gym. ☺️
I'm 31 and work full-time as a health professional, moved down from Sydney two years ago to finish my postgraduate studies. I'm easy going, enjoy sharing a meal, watching TV shows, reading, and being active. On my days off you're likely to find me hitting the gym or playing futsal. My preference is for a sharehouse with one or two other people. I'm friendly but know how to give give people space. I can look after a home and keep things clean. If it sounds like I'd be a good fit please feel free to call or message me.
I'm a sociable fun and bubbly person with a great sense of humor, (well at least I think so! Lol) I know how to respect privacy and space, wont go in your room, touch your stuff or eat your food. And won't cramp your style if you have friends over but also happy to say hello in passing through and have a social chat. Very considerate when it comes to communal house areas and replacing things like washing powder and toilet paper. Easy to get along with, love gardening and animals. Everyone I have lived with can give me a reference happy to pass on details. Work for myself as an event planner so away every weekend. Michael - Hi guys, you probably wont see much of me I work full time in the city doing IT for Optus, so if anyone needs a lift to or from the City mornings or afternoons happy to offer. I like to cook, Rach likes to garden, I tend to buy plenty of everything so housemates are never running out of anything and there's always a spare plate of food if anyone wanted to join us for dinner. I'm quiet but friendly and tend to have a bit of a dry sense of humor poking fun at Rach's "blonde" moments a fair bit. Haha. Rent always on time, Bill's always early, super considerate when it comes to cleanliness and respecting others property. Happy to watch on TV whatevers going at the time, noise is not a hassle, addicted to playing boggle on the phone at the moment. Bit of a nightowl but not a party animal, I sometimes get up for a midnight snack. Happy to meet up for interviews and can pay cash on the spot for bond and rent. Hoping to secure somewhere ASAP, our lease ends this Sunday.
I’m a public servant who moved to Canberra at the beginning of the year from Queensland! I come with a bunch of furniture and a herb garden. I’m clean, tidy and respectful of people’s space. Hoping to find 1 - 2 lovely people who are equally as keen as me to live in a social but considerate house :)
Just a silly lad without a dad who enjoys making people laugh. Also I make a pretty mean salsa. I know how to turn on a vacuum and push a broom across the floor. Currently studying year 12 so I’ll be out of the house mon - fri. I’m a dam good artist and self professed comedian but I understand when to be serious. I’ve been looking after myself for 3 years now and have been having a great time doing it. I can also provide some pretty good references on request😊
Hey guys, I’m looking to move in to a place in the inner north at the start of Feb 2019. I’m a psychology student at ANU and I’m pretty easy going. I’d love to live with some respectful and friendly people, I’m not concerned about gender, and I would ideally have at least two housemates (the more the merrier!). I’m clean and tidy and would prefer my housemates to be the same in shared spaces. I'm a fan of regular "house meetings" aka drinks (be it tea or beer) and hanging out. I love animals and will go crazy for pets! I also enjoy cooking together every now and again. If you think we’d get on, let’s chat!
G'day, I'm in the process of transferring to ANU for my 3rd yearish studies in IT. I have experience living in shared accommodation, small rooms, and weekly cleanliness inspections. I am excellent at staying tidy and would prefer housemates who keep areas clean. I'm a fun, laid back dude who'd be keen on getting to know new people. On my off time, I enjoy working out, surfing, bouldering, gaming, and all round relaxing. Whilst I enjoy socialising, I am an avid believer of everybody needing their own space and downtime. I'd like fellow flatmates who are also clean, friendly, and sociable but respects other people's private time. Non-smokers ideally. Looking to move into sharehouse/flat, preferably with only 1 or 2 other people or teaming up with someone and hitting up the rental market Unfortunately I'm allergic to all pets known to man except reptiles and fish apparently.
I’m an honest, reliable, clean and tidy professional. Pretty relaxed but do prefer a clean home and to share with others who like the common shared spaces to be kept tidy. I’m friendly and quite happy to share a meal or a glass of wine and have a chat on occasion but I like my own space. I’ve shared with 2 girls in their early 20s the past 2 years; it’s been fun to hang out and it’s worked because we respect each other’s privacy and individuality. I am open to sharing with people of any age if they are mature, respectful, trust-worthy, self-aware with a positive, can-do, friendly attitude. Art, hiking, cycling, Pilates, Netflix, great food, coffee and wine, board games, authenticity and honesty are all up there as things I enjoy and value. I’m really looking to live as near to my workplace as possible so Braddon, Reid, Manuka, Kingston, Red Hill, Garran, Griffith are my preferences. $300/week including utilities is my maximum. ** Im looking for a shorterm share of 4 months starting early January (I’ll be housesitting from May 2019)
Clean and tidy. Quiet but up for a chat anytime. Relaxed, considerate and respectful of privacy and personal space. During my free time I enjoy watching tv or Netflix, read, go for a run or just working out at the gym =)
I am a student at CIT which I will complete in 2021 and I work part-time as a bar supervisor in QT Hotel Canberra. Therefore, I will normally be working during nights and weekends. I am currently living in Bruce Residence but am looking forward to moving to a nicer place. I like to keep the place tidy and I like to have the privacy of my own and respect the privacy of others too. But I wouldn't mind occasional conversation, drinks or any other social activities. I love to cook and socialize over beers. I would be happy to have a look at the room and would be happy to sign the lease right away if I like the room.
I am a friendly individual who is happy to socialise but also happy to give people their own space. I am considerate of others and for the fact that I would be sharing a space with other people and would therefore pick up after myself and not leave a mess. I have a beautiful dog who is very friendly and the breed is known to be lazy, which I can confirm.
