The boring stuff... I'm currently living in Wellington, NZ but I am moving to Melbourne by the 1st of November (but can pay for a couple of weeks before I move there). I am hoping to find a house with an outdoor area and near transportation to get to/from the city easier. A bit about me, as much as I love a cheeky glass(es) of wine, I do also like my own space to read, try being creative and nap. I grew up with a mother who thought a spotless house was messy so I have some cleaning PTSD. But cleaning and baking are my 2 biggest stress reliefs so if you lived with me you'll have a tidy place but might gain a bit of weight depending on how stressful my week was....If required, I can learn to bake healthier alternatives.
Hi, my name is Lisa, and I am looking for an easy going, dog loving sharehouse. I’ve recently just joined the dirty thirty club! I have a pooch, her name is Layla and she is an English Staffy. She mainly stays outside whilst I am at work, but she comes inside at night. I rescued her about 4 years ago, and she’s the best thing to have ever happened to me :) I’m pretty easy going, love to have a laugh but also enjoy my down time. Always pay my rent on time and am mindful of others space. I’d like to find a sharehouse with people that will become my friends, not just people I live with :) If you would like to know more, please don't hesitate to ask :)
Hey, I'm Elyse! Im currently studying Interior Design and Decoration in Adelaide and am looking to move to Melbourne early next year to continue with studies and work (flexible with dates in Feb). Would ideally love to live in the South Yarra/Richmond area. I am an easy going gal, I love socialising and meeting new people and am always down to go out for a drink or brunch! I am a clean and tidy person and very respectful of other peoples spaces. Im looking for a roommate that is also tidy, positive and would be open to hanging out and exploring the city together :)
I am a friendly, clean & tidy person who likes Movies, Music, Food, Drinks, Travel, etc. I enjoy communication so one can always come up for chats. I do enjoy drinks & don't wait for a weekend to try tasting something new. I like to be social & keen to explore various places around for cuisine, drinks. Looking for a place to stay which is like a home. Basic Cleanliness, Communication & Respect matters. Happy to help & contribute towards maintenance of the house. Regards.
Hello! I'm Julia, 27 from the US, coming to Melbourne on a working holiday visa. (Will be seeking employment upon arrival). I have a fun, bubbly personality. I am out of the party phase, however do enjoy going out and having a good time. I keep a clean and tidy house/ room and am respectful of others.
Hi, i am 20 years old, I am aussie, I work full time from 8 to 5, hoping to move in with people who are polite and are easy to get along with, I am respectful to rules and I am reasonably tidy and won’t bring and problems and I won’t create any
I'm a Kiwi, relocated in July. Currently in a share position in Laverton but when lease expires in November, will be moving less far away. I work in East Keilor, Parkville, and by appt in Yarraville so while I love this side of town, I need a few less train stops. I'm a practitioner of a health modality you've likely not heard of - very simply, I locate and release surprise impact from bones and the sensory shock system. This is new to Australia, so at the time of writing (August) have also two other part-time jobs - for both networking and self-suffiency reasons. By November, I will have only one of them and would love to live in a place where I could cook, pull some weeds, read or write in a sunny spot and pat a cat on my down time. (I don't have any animals, but I miss my cat and am amenable to small dogs). I've owned my own homes for more than half my life so know how to look after one, and I love to know someone is coming or going to say either a quick hello or share a meal on occasion. I'm apparently 'mature' having reached the half century mark, am environmentally aware, socially responsible, culturally open, fairly well travelled, reasonably educated, and like to bring flowers into the house. I don't smoke, and prefer no beer swilling rugby events in the lounge room, so if you do neither of those things it'd be lovely to meet you and see if we could share a space :)
Hi there! I am currently looking at moving closer to where I work in Parkville - tired of the commute from the other side of Melbourne! Ideally I would like to rent a place by myself, but I don't yet have the required start up funds, so I am seeking a share situation for about 3-4 months as an interim solution. I don’t own a car, so public transport options are important, particularly train lines (faster than trams!). As well as working full-time, I participate in things such as music rehearsals & other activities, so I am not at home very much. When I am at home I mostly like to relax and rejuvenate. I love cooking, baking, board/card games, pool, music, theatre, culture, reading, sleeping, parklands, crime dramas, and animals. I would be keen to live with people who share similar interests. Not too fussed on age and I am totally accepting of different lifestyles. I drink very rarely - I am not opposed to living with someone who drinks just not heavily. I would prefer a non-smoking household as well. I pay rent/bills on time and I am extremely clean and tidy. I have lived in share houses for over 10yrs, so I understand the importance of respect and communication. References are available.
Hello everyone! I recently moved to Melbourne from the United States (Ohio) with my company to work in our Australian office. if you are curious, I work for a healthcare software company so what you'd consider a "young professional". I'm a 25 year old male and I consider myself to be fairly clean and easy to live with. I'm pretty outgoing and enjoy going out on the weekends to grab food and drinks, live music, and I plan on traveling throughout the region while I am living here for the next couple years. I'm very excited to explore Melbourne and go to some events too. During the week I like to cook, go to the gym, and play sports. I enjoy with having people over on the weekends and would like flatmates that are ok with that from time to time. However, I am looking for a place that will be pretty calm during the week since I wake up early for work. I'd like to find similar individuals to live with and hope to move in during early October. Please reach out if you think I would be a good fit. Cheers!
Fun, confident, enthusiastic. I am never home, as I work full-time and when I'm not working, I'm always out with my friends and catching up. I don't mind a chat and a couple of drinks with housemates though! Maybe doing something fun occasionally. I have been renting with housemates for over 4 years now. I've also lived with only female housemates throughout those 4 years. Don't mind either genders though. I am a big music enthusiast, and also I create music on the side when I have spare time off of work. I also do hip-hop dancing on the side. Looking for a place where people are down to Earth, keen to get to know each other and also don't mind creating a genuine friendship.
Hi I recently moved to Melbourne from Paris. I work full time. I love travelling, languages, sports and exploring new places. I am tidy, easy to live with and friendly. Look forward to meeting you, Olga
ABOUT ME I'm 26 years old and work full time as a Social Worker with DHHS. This generally keeps me pretty busy during the week and I prefer quiet evenings on week days as a result. P.s. - I come with Nextflix and a yearly Costco membership. MY PARTNER My partner, Hashan, is 25 and works full time as a mechanical engineer. He's generally up for a good chat after work but can appreciate alone time as well. AS A PAIR My partner and I are pretty social people and enjoy a good chat or regular catch ups with family and friends - we tend to keep this away from home but for an occasional BBQ or dinner and drinks. We are both respectful of personal space and we don't argue. We like having straightforward conversations and working things out for the best of everyone (collaboration is key!) As we both work full time, our weekends are generally spend out with my dogs or doing other life stuff... Or sleeping in... We both enjoy the outdoors and exploring new places (you will most likely be invited to join in!) and are an active, healthy eating kind of couple (I like to bake sweet things and brownies occasionally though). Both our families live in Melbourne and we generally go to family events 2 or 3 times a month. THE DOGS I have 2 dogs - Vespa and Nox - both girls. They are both purebred boxers whom I compete regularly with in dog sports. Both dogs are fully house and crate trained and they don't bark unless there is need (or, occasionally, when they play). Vespa and Nox are very affectionate, friendly and enjoy the company of people. Nox loves playing fetch with a frisbee and Vespa would play tug-o-war all day if she could! Both girls also love a good cuddle and will happily Netflix and chill all day. Vespa and Nox generally spend their days in the yard, but I tend to have them inside with me when I'm home. They are walked/trained for 30mins every morning and on weekends my partner and I like to take them on adventures.
My partner and I are both very relaxed, opened minded, and are looking to move closer to the west/north side as I work in Australia post in sunshine and currently live in a Pakenham. (It’s insane I know!!) We are very arty people and love to draw, paint and craft, as well as getting outdoors and enjoying nature. We both are relatively private people, and like our own space but do love to socialise with friends. We have a dog named Hannibal, he just turned 1 and don’t let the name fool you, he is the biggest sook for affection ever. He just wants love, kisses and cuddles, and maybe some of your food ;) He is fully house trained, very obedient and short furred. Brad is currently studying and looking to work with me after his studies, hopefully by next year. Ideally we would both like our own room each, but are happy to also share one large room together. Being relatively close to public transport would also be very handy as we don’t own a car at the moment. Hopefully we are what you are looking for :)
I'm very friendly and love meeting new people. I love exploring new places, restaurants, culture and its people. I prefer keeping my home/room very neat and tidy and I pay my rent on time. Specifically looking for (PRIVATE ROOM/ MASTERBED) W ENSUITE.
Hello everyone! I am a backpacker from Spain that will be working full time in Australia on a working holiday visa so I am just looking for the ideal place to stay for about 5-6 months in Melbourne. About me: easygoing, openminded, organized and clean. I'm a guy who loves outdoors but i'm always down to hang out for drinks and party. Looking for a single room but also don't mind sharing a room so let me know if you are interested! :)
I'm honest, respectful & considerate of others. Easy going. I care full time for my adult son. We need a wheel chair friendly home. Level access & a double walk in shower as my son needs to have room to put a shower chair. We are moving inter state from Hobart, Tasmania to Melbourne. We hope to find temporary home to stay until i find a suitable home for both of us. So much easier to be living in Melb so we can view properties as they come available for rent. Please feel free to message me for more info. Kind regards Kathryn & Jonathon. PS. We need a large enough room to fit 2 single beds. My son is physically/intellectually/hearing impaired/disabled. He is a joy to be around. Likes interacting with people. I like to exercise, walks/ gym and enjoy life and make the most of it. Spend a lot of time with my son getting outdoors and having fun.
