- laid back/ chill - clean, organised, responsible - quiet - minds my own business - understanding - open-minded
Hey how's it going? I'm Claire! I am a 27 year old female who has recently relocated from Bristol, England. I'm a friendly and sociable housemate who is also clean, considerate and tidy. I blog, love photography, music and adventures. I also enjoy exercise and good food / white wine in equal measure. Basically in a nut shell, I wont keep you up all night with wild parties but you will always have someone who is up for going out for wine or cocktails, I smell nice and will clean up after myself and I am always super keen for seeing or doing something new. I've lived in shared houses for years so I'm also respectful of other peoples space, sleep and property. I'm looking to get out of my current living situation ASAP so I'm open to short of longer term rentals so get in touch if you think you have a good fit! Cheers! :)
I'm a full-time student moving from Brisbane after just finishing degrees in Engineering and Science at the University of Queensland. I'll be starting an Astrophysics PhD at the Australian National University (Mt Stromlo Observatory) in March. I'm very chilled out, mature, tidy, not easily annoyed, enjoy having friendly chats, and exploring all that Canberra life has to offer! I like to keep the house clean, and am very respectful of others' personal space. I'm also pretty light-hearted, and enjoy socialising and having a laugh. I'd be most interested in living with other like-minded students, but also enjoy interacting with all different types of people.
Hey, I'm a designer working in Footscray. I'm 33 and I run my own business and have flexible working hours. I play basketball, love music, hikes, camping and surfing. Looking for somewhere relaxed to basically lay my head down for the night, but also with people who are friendly and interesting. Beer and wine are important facets of life. I don't smoke. I'm generally clean and respectful in any common area, and I love to cook, so don't mind the odd group meals with lots of love poured in. I'm not pedantic and I love animals. If you have pets, we'll be friends instantly. Hope that's enough, need any more info I'll be happy to meet for a catchup or beer.
Chilled out, happy, social and independent looking for like minded people who don't mind having a chit chat, sharing a wine/beer. I'm usually doing my own thing in my downtime - at the beach, catching up with family and friends, brunching or I'm out of town for the weekend when possible.
My name is Hayley, I'm 26 years old, and work full time in child health research in Parkville. I'm very clean and friendly and I like living in positive, peaceful homes. In my spare time, I enjoy eating out with friends, going to the gym, and photography. I like keeping things quiet during the 9-5 working week. My weekends are spent doing relaxing activities such as yoga, socialising, or going on day trips. I'm looking for a private ensuite room with a car space for around $200-230 in the inner east/south-east.
I work in hospo I keep odd hours, I like to listen to music almost all the time and love to cook. I enjoy a drink (comes with the territory of the hospo game) and want to live with people who are interested in the same things such as having people over for dinners, going out for drinks, watching Netflix on chill out days, keeping communal areas clean and just generally enjoying life! (Note: Very casual smoker and obviously, outside).
Hey y'all! I'm Brittany from Texas! I'm friendly and love meeting people, but I'm not really a partier. I'm 30 years old and am clean and considerate. I'll be in Melbourne until early December (coming back mid-January) and will work while I'm in town. I have a blog about travel and dessert-- so I love going on adventures and checking out all the new spots for freakshakes and doughnuts. :)
Hey Everyone, I'm currently in the process of switching university, so looking for some place to stay when the semester starts. Will be going to VU, so somewhere close by (but not Footscray) would be great. I'm 19, have lived in my own unit for a year, so have a rental history. More on the quiet side then the outgoing, but do enjoy chilling with my friends and visiting my family. I don't smoke, and am a very tidy individual. Hoping to room with people around my age or if your interested starting a new share house. There's quite a few nice ones available!
Hello everyone! I'm Annie (21) and my boyfriend Jack (also 21) are looking to move to Seddon/Yarraville. A bit about us - we both currently live in Ballarat and are looking for a 10-12 month lease. I have just finished an Arts degree and I'm about to start my Masters at Melbourne Uni studying Law. Jack works full time in Sales at Mercedes Benz in Ballarat and will be commuting each day for work. We both plan to be very busy during the week and will likely spend a couple of nights a week back home due to sporting commitments (I'm a hockey player and Jack plays soccer). I also work part time in hospitality in Ballarat so I have a stable income despite being a full time student. We are looking for a quiet and respectful house during the week but love exploring on the weekends. We are footy lovers, all day breakfast and coffee enthusiasts and enjoy a few froffies when the time is right. We promise to be nice and tidy, help out with any cleaning jobs and bring pretty good cooking skills to the table. We're very flexible, happy to work around your parameters but also keen to meet some new friends of a similar age group so please shoot us a message if you're interested!
Hi! My girlfriend (English, 23yo) and I (Dutch, 26yo) are looking for accommodation in Melbourne. We love to travel, cook and meet new people. We'll be in Melbourne for about 3 months and are both working full time.

I'm a full time teacher looking for a fun, adult house to share with like minded-people. I'm an easy going person and have enjoyed living in houses previously with people who like to socialise together while also being independent. I like to keep things clean and organised, have developed a love of creating herb gardens, and wouldn't say no to an afternoon glass of cab sav. I've been living in the country for the last 2 years and I'm excited to explore the various brunch options of the inner north/west.

Looking for a place inner South/South East by the 28th of January (or as close too). Look forwards to hearing from you! Snippet : Young male professional looking to move to a location in the inner-south/south-east of Melbourne to be closer to work (Brighton), in an unfurnished room from early January. Hey there, so you are probably wondering what makes me great to live with. Well, thankfully, there is an obligatory section for such a response! I am an energetic and active person, who likes to exercise and get out socially. I am respectful and clean housemate who has been sharing accommodation for the last 5 years in Melbourne, and enjoy sharing my hobbies and experiences, whist appreciating the need for space and downtime. During the week, I am a busy professional (Secondary Teacher) and spend my evenings training for upcoming triathlons and seeing friends. The weekend is much the same, although I do like to go bush-walking and travel around. Hobbies and interests include, music (playing guitar), seeing theater and gigs, watching footy/cricket, I also spend time reading and writing. I am looking for a place until mid 2017 (min 6 months) with the potential for longer pending my work. I would prefer a room with some sun, and a house with modern appliances (I do like to cook ) and a location near to some cafes/shops. I also have a car - so would need a place to park. My ideal housemate(s) would be 25-35, male or female, work full time, have some hobbies and interests to share, enjoy socialising on occasion - and in general just enjoy life and having a good time. If you think this fits you, or vice versa let me know.
I am very easy going and clean. I love meeting new people and get along with just about everyone I meet. I am extremely organized and hard working. My lease is ending very soon and I need a new home for a few weeks until my future housemates lease ends so we can get a house. Feel free to message if you have a room that could work and wanna chat.

Must mentions: -Im clean, tidy and pretty quiet -i tend to cook at home -i occasionally work overnight -due to my job, i sometimes do work from home -im looking for a place with high speed NBN/Cable internet -I have lived in share homes before and am still friends with my old house mates

I'm a really chilled, friendly guy always up for a few cheeky bevs. I'm very adventurous, I love surfing so if I'm not working I'm sometimes at the beach doing that. I love all types of music but mostly punk rock/Metal and house music. I always clean up after my self so I'm very tidy. I'm a fully qualified traditional solid plaster so I'll never be late for bills and rent. That's just a little abit about myself but if you have any question I'm more then happy to answer them for you. I hope you hear from you. Adrian.
I'm a 33 year old masters student at RMIT, working part time at Melbourne Uni Asia Institute. I also teach tai chi, when i have students, I am getting into boxing this year. I like cycling and bushwalking, and I am torn between hardcore and post-hardcore punk. I like John Banville and I can play the piano. When it's my turn to clean, I clean like a pro. Non-smoker, meat eater, social drinker. I have conversational-level Japanese; I used to work there. I am basically a damn chill flatmate.
Grandma always said I was an adorable little dumpling. What she really meant was that I am sociable, open minded, keeps to myself, easy-going, and not very adorable. This little dumpling is also smoke, party, and mess free. I have poor taste in modern art and a connoisseur of fine liquor. I have 3 words of Australian slang in my vocabulary and only 1 of them can be used for insults.
My name's Blake, I'm a 20 year old student currently studying the Art side of Video Games at an institution called AIE which is in the World Trade Centre near Southern Cross Station. I'm studying full-time and will be at University from 9 AM - 5 PM on weekdays. I have furnishings to fill my own room as well as potentially extra things for the lounge room / common area. I've been living in Melbourne for the past two years, I'm originally from East Gippsland about four hours out of Melbourne so I'm used to living with other people and I am as tidy and considerate as possible. I'm currently struggling with the horrid place known as Centrelink but I also have parental guarantee for rent and what not so I'll be able to pay everything on time.
Hey! My name is Gabby, I work full time in the events industry and am easy going, clean and friendly. Work keeps me pretty busy but in my free time I like catching up with friends, going to the markets, for walks, seeing bands, hitting the local brunch and bar spots and of course a causal Netflix binge every now and then. As a housemate I'd respect your privacy however I'm always up for a drink, chat or dinner. I'm fairly flexible with my moving date but wold prefer to move in the last week or February - first 2 weeks of March.
Hi I’m Chris I am friendly, outgoing, fairly relaxed kind a person but also love my own space as that’s where I recharge my batteries and I’m looking for a new home. I’m wanting to share a non smoking active/healthy household or townhouse, that is environmentally aware. Preferable with just one other person. I would love an unfurnished, decent sized room, with space to move and built in wardrobes. If there is an en-suite, bonus! A place where the common areas are kept in a good state of cleanliness, especially the kitchen, and bills are paid on time, with a minimum of fuss. I prefer an independent household but with the possibility of sharing a drink, a laugh, or the odd meal together. I get on well with most people and I’m responsible and considerate when it comes to other people’s things and space. Currently I'm on a break from working but will start looking again early next year probably contract work or part time. I like to keep reasonably fit and active, but I also like curling up with a good book or DVD. Sometimes weekends will find me, outside somewhere, hiking camping or whatever else I can find or talk people into. I'm pretty independent but like knowing that there are other bodies living in the same space, the random conversations, laughter, or drinks but live reasonably quietly, prefer to go out rather than entertain at home and I go to bed early :-) ish. My days of being a night owl are over so prefer to live with people with similar habits. Cheers
I'll be in Melbourne on a working holiday visa starting towards the end of February, but I'm looking to establish a settled life for the time I'll be there (I'm shooting for around 6 months at the moment). I'm from the US, and have been working in the hospitality/tourism industry in California and Colorado since I graduated from university a few years ago. I'm an avid reader and like to run, hike, and generally be active, but I also love a good Netflix binge. Brunch is my favorite past time. I'm ideally looking for a furnished room in a friendly flat, with people who like to hangout together but also respect personal time - I'm sociable but do like to have time to myself sometimes. I like to cook and bake, so as my flatmate(s), expect treats! I'm a generally tidy person, and have no qualms about pitching in to clean. I'm not a huge party person but do enjoy having friends over or going out for dinner and drinks. I plan on spending my weekends exploring and getting to know Melbourne. If you'd like more info, please message me!
Clean, friendly and a pretty chilled out person. I am a recent graduate of the University of Melbourne, currently working full-time with the aim to go back to uni later this year. Interests include; sports, reading, and cooking.
I'm looking for a furnished private room in a share house within a reasonable distance to Victoria University. I'm a sociable person but also respect the privacy of others, and enjoy my own, and understand that living in a communal environment requires courtesy as well as both the ability to interact with the household and provide personal space for roommates. I'm friendly, generous, and have a good sense of humour as I'm a stand-up comedian, as well as an actor. I enjoy both quiet nights in and longer nights of laughter and general good times. Looking to have an enjoyable and positive first share house experience.
Hello future housemates my name is Maria just currently finished my diploma in beauty therapy and now currently working for Endota. I am a very social person love the company of people but I do understand people need there space to chill and relax by them selfs. Hobbie include taking photos, shopping, hanging out with friends and of course going out to eat. Love a good burger or pizza ! I occasionally like to go for a good walk or do some exercising to stay healthy. Just want to live closer to the city because I am finding it hard traveling to get to work from where I am livin at the moment. I am working almost full time hours so won't be home during the day unless I have a day off. I am just looking for a place where I can get along with my housemates.
We are a family of three. Myself, wife and a daughter of almost four years old. We are the best to live with. Friendly and Godly. I am a Research Student with RMIT University, while my wife work part time and take care of our daughter. We live a peaceful but very friendly life.
Hey I'm Nigel, 29yo Kiwi, however I've been here about 7 years now and have pretty much lost my accent. I'm currently working in the city as a support person for a construction industry web app. I'm fairly respectful of privacy and generally keep to myself unless you want to hang out, in which case I'm usually keen to watch a movie or have a quiet beer and a chat. As for hobbies, I'm big into horror movies, the more occult themed or psychological the better. I own a guitar and have been known to play on occassion but not for some time. I generally try to get to the gym at least 3 or 4 days a week and I like playing xbox, watching a movie or reading to wind down in the evening. I'm currently a smoker, but am really keen to quit so if you're a non-smoking household, that actually may be better, haha I'm not particularly high strung about anything but my only requirement is a reliable wifi connection as I do occassionally need to work from home. If I sound like the kind of person you'd like to share a house with, please flick me a message. I look forward to hearing from you!
Architect recently moved to Victoria and working part-time for a local university. Clean, tidy and considerate of others in a shared space. I have a car (pref off-street parking) and a bike and looking for a reasonably quiet, friendly inner-suburban place not too far from civilisation. Looking for 3 to 6 months initially with possibility to extend if all good.
Clean, mature, good communicator, easy going, trouble free, Positive and lively. Love summers and the beach that's why like Williamstown, also work there. I have had a colorful life and love traveling Europe, especially my home country Spain. Food, music and dancing are my pleasures. If you have a pet even better, love them. I am on the right sis on the left and mum middle.
G'day, My name is Laurie. I am 40 years old, Australian, and work as an excavator operator. I Have a 6 year old male short hair border collie named Bon who is very friendly and house trained, he is a very well mannered dog. I am looking for an easy going house where my dog is welcome inside. Would be nice if i was moving in with people that would enjoy sharing time with him. The ideal situation for me would be living in a house where maybe someone that loves dogs works from home or a house with another dog and secure yard as i hate leaving him home alone whilst at work, not because that's a problem, just because he is so intelligent. I have vintage taste, I like older style houses that are furnished with second hand stylish bits and pieces though open to modern, I am also a music lover and like to collect vintage audio equipment, vinyl records etc. I am not one to watch a lot of TV i prefer to have music playing and i listen to all genres though I also enjoy peace and quiet. I have lived overseas spending nearly 10 years in Scotland and a couple in Ireland, Where i actually rented rooms my self to people so I am big on respecting your fellow housemates. When I am working I start on site at 7am, so I am generally getting up at around 5, I take a quick shower ,make my lunch and shoot out the door. Times may vary a little depending on where I am working. I don't want to live in a party house, its 2017! I am giving up smoking so would prefer a non smoking household, my intentions also are to start living a healthier lifestyle, I want to be closer to the beach for both my self and the dog, maybe join a gym etc. Though i also want get out and enjoy the restaurants and be able to go down the local and chill with my dog and a cold beer on nice days. I would also like to extend my social network which is part of the reason for moving to the city, I am currently down the Mornington Peninsula which has its limitations. My intentions are to also keep saving for a house, so i don't want to go overboard on rent, though i will be happy to pay a bit more for a place with a bit of space, and that is most importantly right for my dog. I don't have a lot of furniture, I would only be bringing bedroom stuff, kitchen stuff if needed. Though I am pretty resourceful, have a Ute, and I am always op shopping or hitting Garage sales...if there is anything needed i will find it. No i am not going to furnish a house with rubbish! (-; You would be amazed what i find. I think I would like to be living with people around 35 to 45 though I am open to anything really as long as it feels right. I also have a motorcycle (GSXR1000)so if there is room for that, that would be excellent though not essential. I think that will do for now until i can think of more...please ask me any questions, and i will do my best to get back to you asap. cheers Laurie.
Hey, I will be working in Melbourne at Mercedes-Benz from March to September I originally come from Germany if you want to know more about me just write me
Hi there, Australian/European 28 years old Professional/part time student AOU student. I am currently Working 5-6 nights at various locations around Melbourne in the security industry and study part time. House mates who are easy going, respectful, honest, trust worthy, respectful of others things/privacy with good sense of humor and a generally positive outlook would be a bonus. I use my PC quite a bit when at home for studies and gaming so a decent internet connection is required. )10 MB +) A clean neat house hold on or near the beach, with a view of the beach would be awesome! However by no means conditional. I have a car, PRACTICAL CAR PARKING NEEDED I have a hospitality back ground with much experience in kitchens, so I'd say I'm a reasonably good cook. Although I find these days i'm more inclined towards cooking delicious efficient healthy meals. Organic ingredients wherever possible! I don't mind sharing food with the house mates as long as a viable fair sharing system is in place. I have my own cutlery, Tupper ware, plates, mugs, a toaster, small fridge, wine fridge ( maintains perfect drinking temperature)and a juicer for the kitchen. Happy to sell store or donate furniture that is already available in the house. I have all my own furniture for my room including my super gaming pc. If you might consider me as a compatible addition to your house hold or have any queries please don't hesitate to call or text me anytime after hours.
I'm a very independent, easy going and active 25 year old. I work full time across two roles as a registered nurse and flight attendant (these days my roster between the two jobs is pretty standard now to 'normal-ish hours' 6:30am-2pm Monday to Friday - meaning I'm home most evenings with the exception of sometimes being interstate one or two nights a week) . When I'm not working I'm often at the gym, pilates or doing something active outdoors, out with friends, watching live music or happy to just kick back for a quiet night at home with a wine in hand and Netflix :-) I am looking for a private room in an established sharehouse with likeminded and easy going individuals (either gender) who are not party animals but equally enjoy a bit of banter and a laugh around the house and would be happy to enjoy a wine, dinner together once in a while.
Hi, I'm looking for a room or bungalow with a friendly household that also appreciates each others' need for solo time. I'm a temp worker (professional writer/editor) currently on break and looking for my next challenge. I like to think I have a good sense of humour and a sense of fun... I'm tidy and respectful of others ... and believe in teamwork to keep a household ticking along. Sing out if you would like to know anything else! :) PS I'm currently a part-time smoker ... and smoke in the street at my current location, never near the flats or inside. No butts left behind! :)
Hi, I am Bas from the Netherlands and I am gonna do my internship in Melbourne for 20 weeks starting in februari. For that time I'd like to live in a house or appartment with some nice people.
May be this would help: I am a born Australian and l currently live in Melbourne. During the week I am busy working and gym. Weekends combination of UBER driving, surfing and I have a podcast. I am someone who prefers reading a good book or listening to a podcast as opposed to watching TV.
Hi my name is David and I'm a 25 year old Canadian who has been in Melbourne for the past 2 and a half years. I currently working full-time in property in the city and I'm also completing my masters at RMIT. I am currently in Prahran, ideally I am hoping to find somewhere already furnished, as I only own my bedroom furniture and somewhere near transport which allows me to get to work with no drama. I am looking at moving any time in the next few weeks. I am easy going and love the outdoors. Not too fussed about living in either a share house or with just one other person, preferably someone around a similar age. Own bathroom would be amazing but not essential. I love dogs (who doesn't), I'm a non-smoker and like to keep fit and healthy but also love a night out now and then.
Hey I'm Dana and I am 18 years old, will be studying Business at RMIT this year, moving down from the NSW Central Coast. Love meeting new people, coffee, playing sport like hockey and basketball and spending time with friends. Im also very neat in communal areas and can cook more than Vegemite on toast.
I am a 27-year-old male, who is currently passionate about achieving my current goal of becoming a paramedic. I am currently a student at Victoria University and I make my money working in a Motorcycle Accessories Store. I currently have 3/4 year remaining in my studies. Because of this, I will be looking for a place to stay long term. I would like to become a part of the family with whoever I move in. I like to make new friends, socialise with my roommates and enjoy going on adventures whether it be breakfast, pubs, hikes, beach or simply Netflix marathons I am punctual with my bills, rent and every other responsibility that is required of me as a roommate, such as cleaning duties or yard maintenance. I have no quirky habits or weird behaviours and like to pride myself of being clean. but I am no clean freak. I ride a motorcycle, so I will not take up much room in the driveway, all I require is a place where I can lock my motorcycle behind a fence. I hope I have given you a good insight into my personality and you would consider me a suitable roomie. Thank you, Rhys
I am 24 years old, I am currently studying International Business in Germany and as a part of this I have to do this internship. Before I started to study I did an apprenticeship as a plumber. I would describe myself as a friendly, tidy and reliable guy who is not looking for a party every day but nevertheless I would enjoy hanging out with other flat mates. In my spare time I like jogging, cycling and (if it wasn't Australia^^) skiing. Listening to good music is also something I enjoy.

I am clean, tidy, respectful and easy going. I have just graduated from the University of Western Australia with a Masters of Business Information Management degree and have just recently moved from Perth to Melbourne. I am looking to rent a room in Melbourne city or within proximity. Also, I am a non smoker and usually like to keep to myself. During my free time, I like to relax; however, when it's windy I head to the beach for a Kitesurfing session.
Hi folks :) I'm Avi, a 26 year old student and bartender. I'm friendly, get along with just about anyone, plenty of sharehouse experience, and always up to meet new people. Don't mind having a coupla on the weekend, or going to discover new spots in this wonderful city, but equally happy to kick back at home as well. Reading, tv shows, riding my bike, good conversations, food, discovering new places, all get thumbs up.
Hi guys - I am a 28yo management consultant who has been flying in and out of Canberra for the past 10 months but is now looking to move back to Melbourne (am in Melbourne for weekends now so can view rooms on Fridays/weekends). My job is a professional office type job so can work some long hours during the week but have weekends off. I have lived in many a share house and am very clean and respectful. I am also a pretty nice, normal and down to earth person and think I am pretty easy to get along with. Any questions just let me know :)
I am 27 and work as an office manager for a Screw Pile (foundations) Company in Werribee. Work your typical office hours Monday to Friday. From NZ originally but been living in Straya for 2 years now, moving from the Goldie to Melbourne back in June. Have resided in Altona Meadows since, but wanting to move closer to the city (Yarraville in particular). My Dad is Spotswood born and bred, (so technically I’m half Aussie) he made the move to NZ with my mum nearly 30 years ago. I have plenty of family in the inner west. I love a good Netflix binge, and the odd drink, however the partying ways of my youth have subsided immensely, with early weekend starts of a nice coffee and getting outdoors/visiting friends/family much preferred, over hungover couch days (although this does happen from time to time). I am not the greatest cook but give it a good go anyway (make a banging egg & bacon pie), maybe you guys could teach me a thing or two. I love Basketball, played a lot when I was younger, until a torn ACL sidelined me, and hasn’t been the same since, even after reconstructive surgery, but am always keen to shoot hoops. In the last year have started to enjoy hiking Aussie bush, with visits to the You Yang’s couple times a month (although snakes terrify me and lizards give me a hell of a fright). Being a kiwi I do love rugby union, but growing up with a mad Saint Kilda supporter, Aussie Rules has been drilled into me, and love going to Etihad to watch the Saint’s. Flick us a message with any questions. Cheers, Nat
