Hi, I'm Lucy from South Korea. I am looking for a private room at the moment cause my current housemates(a couple, we are friends) are moving into a house alone in February. I'm happy for them however I will miss their cats a lot haha. I'm studying Early Childhood Education and Care while working at the childcare centre casually. I also have a part-time job as a salesperson as well so I'm pretty busy during the week. I'm friendly and open-minded but introverted so I would stay in my room to recharge myself after work mostly. I love reading books, yoga, spending time in nature, watching movies & documentaries, listening to music, meaningful conversations, tidying up and so on :)
Hello there! Here are a few quick points about me: • I will be working at the University of Queensland as a researcher/postdoc. • I work about 6 days a week • I have lived in shared houses most of my life in Greece, UK and Germany. • Not much of a party animal, more into good wine, good food and an interesting conversation • I am an excellent cook with a repertoire that has been tried and tested successfully in countless dinner dates over the years. • In terms of hobbies: I love chess and cycling and I plan to start going to the gym in a bit more regular basis. I also enjoy dancing and I have taken classes in salsa, hip hop and swing. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- What I am looking for: • Shared accommodation with one-two more people (maybe I will consider up to 3 if everything else seems to fit well). • a neat tidy and organized property. • I would prefer to live in a non-smoking property, as it would help with my efforts of quitting smoking. • I love animals, so living with pets is not an issue. • My ideal flatmates would be the kind of people that I could share a glass of wine with, would be easy going, tidy and have sense of humor. • I am looking for a place I can call home, and ideally would like to stay there for up to 4,5 years. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- As I am currently in the UK, I will be looking for a videocall inspection so I can get a feeling for the property and we can see if we feel we would be a good fit. Thanks for taking the time to read my ad!
Hi, I'm Tamara; Dutchie moving to Brisbane. Easy going, loving board games, creative and vegan. I don't mind sharing houses with people who are not vegan. I'm cool with whatever you like to eat. Your life, your choices :) Last but not least, I love cats. I always lived with room mates, so I can say I'm pretty familiar with the whole room mate atmosphere. In general I always try to make sure that I'm considerate of my room mates and also leave a nice environment for them. I love having drinks (alcoholic and non-alcoholic) and couch sessions with my roomies, altho I can also enjoy some alone time to recharge my batteries. Sharing houses has always been a nice experience for me. Currently I'm working as a product manager for a sustainable fashion brand, but I feel like a new challenge. That's why I decided to leave my job and country to start fresh in Australia. Please note my intentions are not to back pack, I would actually like to try to built something in Brisbane. Small thing: I arrive in Brisbane on the 27th of February, so would not be able to actually meet up in person before then..
Hey, it's Dushyant and Guransh. We'll be attending Griffith University for our Masters and we are looking for 2 rooms in a sharing house with max budget of $180-200 each(although lower is even better). Both of us are pretty chill, respectful and will never encroach on your personal space. We are also very organized and tidy. We'll welcome flatmates from all walks of life.
Hey, I’m 23 and currently working full time in west end. Looking for a sharehouse with likeminded people - I enjoy socialising, having a drink, going to the beach and exploring! I’m fairly new to Brisbane so don’t really know many areas but open to most suburbs close enough to my work I have lived in sharehouses for around 5 years so I know the drill, I’m good with cleaning, paying rent and paying bills on time. A pool would be appreciated, as would a room distant to others as I do get grumpy when woken up! Please no share rooms! Also there is a possibility for me to bring my cat up so if that’s an option that would be great! :) hit me up if you think you might have a house for me!
Hi! I'm looking for a sex-in-the-city-esque girl gang to form a house with. I'm looking for some great women who are down for a rant and a laugh or to relax and watch Netflix with. I'm a friendly outgoing student at UQ, studying science. I keep my mess to my bedroom so you can rely on the house always being neat and tidy. I love a good yarn but am also comfortable with time alone. I have a 2 year old cat named Wallace who is basically my son. He's very well behaved and even knows a few tricks. His only fault is he's sexist against men, and terrified of baby-boomers and children, but if you don't mind that he's a minor bigot you'll love him. So if you're neat friendly and are keen to join the girl gang I'd love to grab a coffee with you to get to know you!
Easy going girl from Germany. I like to have a drink sometimes but Im not a party animal.
I am a pharmacist working at the Mater Hospital. When I'm not at work I love to be outdoors at the beach, hiking or rock climbing. In the evenings I like to chill out, have a chat then drink sleepy time tea and go to bed early. I have a little dog who is very well behaved, does not yap or shed. He loves to sleep all day and visit his grandparents on the gold coast. I am keen to live with someone that loves animals too.
I am studying engineering at UQ this year. I will be moving down from Townsville where I currently work Bartending. I enjoy playing hockey, netflix and having a drink with friends. I'm looking for a private room in a sharehouse.
Junior doctor working at the Logan Hospital in 2019 (6-12 month lease). Looking for a place in south Brisbane or along the BDVL/FGBN train line. I am very relaxed and easygoing. I have lived in multiple shared accomodation since medical school. I keep the shared areas clean and tidy and rarely cook (mostly takeouts). Not against the occasional drink or party but mostly quiet lifestyle. Enjoy tennis, hikes and going to the beach. Mixed descent, half New Zealander and half Chinese, fluent in Mandarin also.
Hi, My name is Gavin, I am 17, turning 18 on the 11th of June this year. I have finished high school at Yeronga State High and am looking for a place to live at for 12+ months until I can find myself a suitable place to live along with getting more work. I'm a drummer, sports person and I love working with production stuff. I currently serve on the Production Team at Life Church in Salisbury and am doing Leadership Academy for 2019 where I will be becoming a Youth Leader for this year, and more years to come. I will be out of the house on the following days of the week from 9-5 due to Leadership Academy the Diploma of Leadership at Alphacrucis College - Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. I am looking to stay with someone who has roughly the same interests. Regards, Gazza
hey there :) My name is Jordy, I'm a Canadian trans girl and former student. I'm very respectful when it comes to another's possessions or property and tidy up after myself and just generally around the house when needed. I mostly like to keep to myself although would definitely like to be in a situation where I could be friends and socialise with my housemates. Current goal is to get work by the end of the year. Would love to be living somewhere that is LGBT+ friendly.
I am usually off on my own in my room but I am always welcome for a chat or hangouts especially when invited as I can be a bit shy. During holidays I tend to add a bit of chocolates or such to share with people, and in general happy to share meals. I love animals so I am mostly looking for sharehouses with dogs (Especially dogs), Cats, and birds, or all three. I am currently looking for a job, however I am on disability pension and have lived in sharehouses for seven years paying rent exactly on time and all bills as well.
Im tidy, friendly and open minded. My family moved quite frequently due to my father's work so I've lived around the world so im pretty chill with almost everyone. Also studying engineering so you wont see much of me during exams! Love to gym and have a few drinks to relax.
Hi I'm Raymond. I am moving from Townsville to Brisbane in January for work. I'm an engineer working in the medical field. I'm clean, quiet, and I enjoy my privacy, but am always up for a chat. Ideally looking for a chill place with one or two housemates. I'm flexible with location, but ideally looking relatively close to the city or public transport, preferably the trains. I work full time but in my spare time I like to catch a game of footy or cricket, chill and watch some Netflix, and catching up with friends.
Hi, I'm Bec! I'm a freelance editor (I work from home) in my honours year of a Bachelor of Psychological Sciences (Honours) at UQ. I like to read and write! I'm looking for a place that has A/C and ideally a dishwasher (but I'm flexible on that). I have mobility issues due to chronic illness, so am avoiding internal stairs (external okay!).
I'm a happy, easygoing person. I enjoy my own space, but also interacting with my flatmates. I have a wonderful tenterfield terrier x (v. similar to a jack russell) dog who adores people. I am looking for somewhere long term preferably whilst I complete my studies at UQ. I enjoy taking my dog Rocket for bushwalks, reading, Netflix, socializing, having a quiet drink now and then and gardening amongst other things. I am not looking to be screwed around. I have looked at a few places now and what people say on their profile and what's in actual fact has differed. So please be honest in your descriptions as I'm not after time wasters. I am not looking to share with other couples. Cheers, Laura.
Do you know the real reason dinosaurs have short arms? So everything they hold is close to their heart! That's right - I'm curious do you like the odd punny joke and the odd dinner, or cuppa, or beverage at home? Are you finding another quality human - to join your home sweet home, hopefully long term! I am a little bit of a social butterfly and love to go to dinner, picnics, and Latin dancing occasionally aaaand love to stay home and watch movies every now and again. I keep housey spaces tidy and like to cook something yummy occasionally (I'm 90% vegan). I am over at my boyfriends a couple of nights a week. I am a personal carer in aged care and a jewellery Spruiker on the odd weekend. My kitty Coco is 9 years old and the chillest and kindest cat ever. She is super well trained. How much do you reckon I'd be an awesome housemate ?! Look forward to hearing from you soon!!
