I am very quiet but friendly boy with respect for everyone, working full time as a restaurant manager in Fyshwick. I have recently moved to Canberra from Sydney, so looking for friends as well. I am a smoker but its okay for me not to smoke at home. I would like to team up with others to share a hose together if I cannot get any single room.
Hi, I'm Catherine. I'm starting a new public service job in Canberra in early Feb so I'm looking for a new home. I'm from Melbourne, and am planning on heading up to the ACT late Jan, but can be flexible and come earlier if that works too. I like the outdoors and the snow, bushwalking and running and I'm looking forward to exploring some of the cafes around Canberra. I'm fairly quiet these days, I don't drink, so I'm not looking for a party house. However, I'd love a chat and a coffee with my housemates. I love cats, so if you have one that's a plus!
I am a quiet person. I don't go out much or have many people over. I am out of the house around 9-6 weekdays. Usually away every second weekend seeing family. I am pretty tidy. I don't leave dishes around the place or random bits and bobs.
How’s it going😁 I’m 26, independent, clean, tidy, respectful, considerate and always up for a laugh. I work full time in Sydney and part-time in Canberra, which I travel to and from for work. Hoping to find a place to live for a long period. I don’t take drugs or drink alcohol but I’m a smoker (outdoors only). I enjoy meeting new people and respect people’s space. Cheers, Sam✌️
I am a 29 yr old vet, who has recently moved to Canberra from Sydney. I love cooking and baking and sharing whatever I've made. I am always happy to sit and have a chat, but also respect the need for space. I clean up after myself and not opposed to doing whatever dishes there are in the sink. :)
I'm a 33 year old female, soon to be working full time in Barton. I've worked in State Government for about 13 years, private industry the last few and am about to start a role with a national industry body. I've lived solo for most of the last decade so am used to a quiet house, am very big on 'me time' and most definitely 'house trained'. It would be great to have a chat and laugh over dinner etc when we are both home simultaneously. I enjoy being fit and healthy, exercising most days and loving delicious, fresh, healthy food to energize me through the day.
I moved to Canberra from the Gold Coast and currently work in the Australian public service. As a public servant I am an individual who loves to please and serve other people. In my spare time I love to play soccer as it reminds me of my Brazilian origin. Anyway, why do I believe I will be a great flatmate? I believe I will be a great individual to live with because I am social, calm, modest, approachable, understanding and pleasant. What motivates me in life is seeing the positive impact of my work in other people’s lives. I believe it is crucial for me to always be in a good mood so that I can positively affect everyone around me. I always put a lot of effort in understanding, appreciating and learning from people’s differences. I am very confident that you will find not only find a good flatmate but also a really good friend in me.
Cracker big house in the perfect inner city 'burb. High ceilings, huge communal spaces and incredible kitchen make this majestic masterpiece a must-visit. Located behind number 16, this house is a secret hideaway brimming with features. KITCHEN Humongous kitchen with four burner induction stovetop AND a gas burner AND an electric grill. Also includes TWO ovens, a microwave and a dishwasher. Gorgeous granite bench-tops all around with a window overlooking the front garden from which you can feed the local native birds. BATHROOM Enjoy beautiful marble floors with your shower and ablutions. Massive drop shower head, double sinks and bath all flooded with natural light and a window seat. COMMON AREAS Ducted heating and evaporative cooling fights off the Canberra winter chill and summer bake throughout the house. Beautiful sun-room attached to the kitchen makes the perfect dining area with a half-glass roof. The living room has more space than you can poke a stick at, with 10 foot floor-to-ceiling glass overlooking the back garden and patio. A surround-sound system will be staying with the house, right next to the wood fireplace. A rumpus room off the dining area provides access to two of the bedrooms and a secondary area to hang out. Both the front and back gardens have space to spend summer evenings, with a giant shade umbrella at the front keeping you or your car in the shade during the day. ROOMS All rooms are incredibly spacious. No shared walls so your private time is truly private. The room at $240 and available on 18 March is the largest but with no cupboard space (don't worry, there are so many hidden storage areas you'll only need a wardrobe and chest of drawers for your clothes). The other room at $240 and available on 4 March is a little smaller but with heaps of cupboard space and a great view overlooking the front garden and bird feeder. TAKEN. The final room at $220 and available on 18 March is the smallest, but also the furthest from the communal areas with massive windows overlooking the side garden. Trust me when I say its the smallest that it is still larger than most bedrooms you'd find in an apartment! PARKING A tandem garage has space for one more car, while the car port to the side of the house and the shady front drive has room for another car each. We have had up to eight cars parked off the street at the house before, so parking will never be a problem.

Recently moved up to Canberra for work and looking for a place close to the city. I'm friendly, outgoing and really enjoy an evening vino (or tea) and looking forward to exploring all Canberra has to offer, especially the eateries! A little about me, I'm quite laid back, clean and tidy and spent the majority of the last 2 years overseas and sharing tiny spaces so have learnt a great deal about the art of house sharing. I'm an avid movie buff who enjoys a variety of different genres and attempt to spend most Sunday night's during Formula1 season watching the races. Makes for a difficult monday but mostly worth it! If you would like to find out anything more please feel free to get in touch!
Hi, I'm a PhD student at ANU University. I'm italian, I'm a funny person, I like to make friends and I'm a good cook (italian cuisine ;) ). I have several hobbies, for example I like listening to the music, reading, playing bass guitar (not in Australia, of course) and playing football with friends. I have been living with other flatmates for 6 years and rarely I fought with them. Actually we are still friends. I'm clean and polite. I'm looking for a long-stay as well as a temporary accomodation.
Flexible move date, but before 23rd Feb. Also flexible with length of stay. I'm a relaxed housemate who likes a chat at the end of the day but also respects everyone's need for space. I love cooking meals and baking treats, and heading to markets on the weekend to get produce for the week. I work five days a week with the Commonwealth so like to chill out on weekends, either catching up with friends or exploring, or going for walks/hikes. I've just moved to Canberra from Brisbane, where I lived for five years. I'm interested in living in the suburbs surrounding the suburbs I've listed too, depending on the place and price for the the room. My ideal room/house situation would include space for me to store some of my things - either in my room or a lock up garage etc. Please feel free to message me with any questions :)
Easy going, clean and tidy. I am from Melbourne and I have moved to Canberra last month for a full time position in IT. I am normally in Canberra on weekdays and return to Melbourne on the weekends.Besides when I am not working, I like spending time at the gym, watching TV, listening to music, cooking and studies.
Hi, I'm passionate about recycling, helping out, great at fixing things, and have a very sociable Jack Russell who loves attention and a ball. Currently renting in Gungahlin (last 14 months), I work full time in Civic (I.T.), and want to be closer to work so I can ride my bike ($16.70 for parking is ridiculous). I spend some weekends at coast or camping/visiting friends/kids interstate. Looking for a place that has a secure outside yard and a space to park the car.
We are two girls from the coast. One a full time health professional, the other - passionate and dedicated to primate research. Looking for a beautiful home to share, to make green and sustainable and to meet more incredible human beings
Hi! I'm Alex, moving up to Canberra from Adelaide to start a grad job in the APS. I've just finished a business degree at Adelaide uni. I'm easygoing, optimistic and enthusiastic. I'm just as happy meeting new people or spending time with housemates as I am curled up somewhere with a book. I love cooking (pancake Sundays, omelette breakfasts, stew nights anybody?), comedy, hiking, markets, brunch. I also enjoy good banter, puns, camping and relaxed weekend cycling. In my free time I like to read, explore new places and travel - though coming to terms with only four weeks off per year might be a challenge! I'd love to share with interesting, relaxed people who are up for a chat and a glass of wine/bowl of food occasionally. I've lived in sharehouses before and am happy to do my bit to keep a nice home. I've previously worked as a dishwasher and a prep cook - would love somewhere with a good kitchen. I'll be bringing/buying some new gear, too. I also don't smoke and I don't have any pets. Hope to hear from you soon, Alex
Unfurnished bedroom with own balcony available in “The Lakehouse”, nicknamed so for its spectacular view and prime location along the Kingston Foreshore. *You won’t find another place as sexy and centrally-located for this price!* Some benefits of living here include: - Cafes, bars and restaurants at your doorstep - Supermarket and gyms within walking distance - Area serviced by a major bus corridor - Close to the parliamentary triangle
The apartment is located on the trendy Foreshore side of Kingston, so it's handy for a beer at the Dock but is still a quick stroll to leafy Ye Olde Kingston for brunch, coffee, lunch and probably dinner. The place would have: - Your own bathroom (that guests might use) - Your own underground car spot - A gas stove and dishwasher in the kitchen - Air-con(/heating) - A decent sized living room - The apartment is mostly furnished besides the available room (though there could be an option to buy a queen bed from the vacating flatmate) - Brodburger is pretty dang close - Anytime Fitness is closer
I moved to Canberra in 2011 and have been working for the APS ever since. I've bought a place here so I'm looking to rent until I move into it in August 2019. I'm an awesome housemate because I can keep to myself and get involved with the house. I'm housebroken and have lived in share houses previously.
I’ve got a spare bedroom available in my prime-located modern apartment. It’s a 15-minute walk to Kingston shops, the foreshore and Manuka shops aka a 2-minute drive anywhere with a bus stop a minute away. The bedroom comes with its own bathroom (the main one with a laundry) and its own basement car park and plenty of hanging storage space. Currently in the process of getting Internet added since I’ve just moved in and am also finishing off the furnishing of the apartment so any furnishing you bring is welcome but not necessary. The bedroom comes unfurnished. Key features of the apartment include air con and heating, dishwasher, washing machine and dryer and a cute protected balcony. I am looking for a responsible tenant, preferably full time professional. Personally, I am new to Canberra having moved to Melbourne to join the APS this year and would love a roommate who doesn’t mind a chat at night over dinner and tv but is also respectful of individual privacy and space.
