I'm a 23-year-old soon to be public health grad from Melbourne who will be working full-time from March 2018. I'm looking for housemates/share-house close to Forrest so I can cycle/walk/take public transport. You can expect me to keep my area tidy and clean, contribute to my fair share of the housework and pay rent and bills on time. I love going to musicals, concerts, visiting art galleries and planning future holiday trips. I also enjoy visiting the cinema, exploring the bush/going on road trips whenever I can and spending quality time with friends and family. I plan to visit home often on weekends.
I am a very independent, tidy person. Having lived in shared accommodation before I know how to clean up after myself and will be conscientious and respect the privacy of other room mates. I am a generally quiet person but love to sit down with friends for a chat at the end of the day. I enjoy listening to all kinds of music and reading when I have the chance. I'm a bit of a creative so I'll almost always be drawing or painting something. I work full time in Kingston at Crowe Horwath.
Heya peeps! Thanks for swinging pat my profile and considering me to be your room mate! I am a young but mature 21 year old male who entered the work force early. Now even though I am a Sydney boy, I have recently been promoted to a full time Sales Consultant Postition down in Canberra. And now I'm left scrabbling around for last minute accomodation. I am looking for something long term with awesome, down to earth, and sociable room mates. My hobbies are anything that occupies my time and I'm really not much of a static person but rather more of a hard worker or someone who always involves themselves in charitable work, and giving back to the community sort of thing. So if I'm the room mate that you're looking for, give me a yell!
Hey there, I am Can Metan. I'll start my PhD in Computer Science very soon and I'm looking for a place to call home. I am a happy, squeaky clean and a trust-worthy guy. I quite enjoy cooking healthy meals and quite sociable in general. While we can share a glass of wine every now and then, I don't drink every week and I certainly don't smoke. I will be working a lot this year (likely to get a job besides PhD) and I would love to have a roomie that can pull his / her own weight. Looking forward to hear from you! PS: I love both dogs and cats (although I'm allergic to cats) and I would strongly prefer a smoke-free house.
My name is Bella, I'm 22 and I currently work full time in a consulting firm in Fyshwick. I love to cook, am clean, and love to socialise, but can understand if people need their own space. I am in need of somewhere new to live in Canberra for me and my fatlord of a cat. I'm trying to see if there were anyone people out there who are happy with living with said fatlord, who would be interested in seeking out a new lease in a pet friendly property. Alternatively, if you have a friendly house with a bedroom than needs filling, please let me know! I'd be happy to live with 1-3 other people, and live anywhere from inner north to weston creek or woden, or queanbeyan. I also have a toilet trained boyfriend who will visit. Hope to hear from you soon!
Hi, my name is Jamie and I've just moved up to Canberra from Victoria to be a public servant and looking for a place to live. I enjoy reading, comedy and improvisation, maths, music, playing/watching sports and generally doing new things. I've lived in 3 share houses before and never had an issue with any of my previous roommates. If you would like to know more about me, get in touch.
I'm an easy going guy, here to work full time as a Concrete tester at different construction sites around Canberra. Friendly and polite, Tidy up after myself so I wont leave the place in a mess. From the country and enjoy living a fit and healthy lifestyle. I'm sociable but not to a point that would cause any problems
I don't have pets, clean and tidy, enjoy listening music, outdoors activities and traveling. Additionally, I am looking for the rent from 6 months onwards. Thank you !I'm really happy to live with friendly and helpful housemates and it is my grateful to make new friends. My studies background in Accounting and I come from Melbourne.
I work full time as a public servant. I don't have a set move date. Willing to move whenever I happen to find the right place with the right people. I'm looking for a clean sharehouse with no smokers, and no pets except cats. I'm looking for housemates who are sociable but respectful of other people's space. I'm up for a drink, a shared meal or some board games on weekends but I'm generally pretty busy during the week. I play video games, snowboard, and spend time at the gym. I'm also interested in team ups, but only for places in Campbell, Reid or maybe Braddon.
Looking for some cool peeps to live with! Work in Civic so inner North would be great, but I'm fairly flexible. :) About me: - Moved the Canberra from Brisbane in August - INTJ - Tidy, but not OCD clean - Reliable with bills etc - Bearded - Chill AF - Not adverse to a couple of wines after work (and a few more on weekends) Who I’m looking to live with: - Preferably more than just one other person. But I don't mind living with just one person either. - People who are fun - People who are relaxed - People who are open to hanging out occasionally Place I’m looking for: - Location wise I’m looking at Civic, Inner North and Woden area. - Furnished (I’ve only got my own bedroom furniture as well as some kitchen stuff) - Heating/cooling (preferable) - Own bathroom (preferable) - Parking (preferable) - Built in wardrobe (preferable) - Internet Access (MUST) I'm pretty flexible around the place I live so if I sound like someone you could live with, and your place sounds perfect for me, let me know! Cheers Luke
I'm a 46 year old professional from Sydney and will be joining a company in Braddon on 5/6/2017. I'm planning to stay in Canberra only 4 week nights (from Monday to Thursday) as I will be travelling to back to Sydney for the weekend. Occasionally I might stay for the weekend. Also I'm looking for a furnished room with an ensuite or separate bathroom (not a shared bathroom). Rent per week - $ negotiable depending on the location..
Hi, I've just moved to Canberra for work and am looking for somewhere to share. I'm tidy, sociable and very understanding of personal space. Please send me a message if you'd like to know more!
I'm east to get along with and have a lot of different interests. Love playing sport, going for trail walks, morning coffees, good chats & learning about different things. Although I'm a crap cook I'm trying to get better, and have to admit I'm pretty bummed about the lack of surfing opportunities in Canberra, but aiming to make up for it with the odd weekend trip to Perisha! I work in R&D management and have to relocate to Canberra from Perth for a new job. Ideally looking for a 2 x 2 to share, but feel free to msg me if you're interested in a bigger share place. Cheers!
Hi :) im 21 years old working full time as a flight attendant out of canberra. Im looking for a place to live perferalbly close to the airport. Im easy going, quiet, clean and friendly gal. Id like to move in with roomies who arent scared to have a chat and have a wine or two but still respect privacy. Im fairly new to canberra so it would be good to make some mates aswell.
Hey, I am a student completing my hospitality internship at The Hotel Kurrajong. Therefore, would be working part time. I am very easy going and adjustable and usually get along just fine. I like to socialize but at the same time respect your individual space. Really love to cook and play sports (cricket, football). Would preferably look for an accommodation near the city center as I do not have a vehicle or near a public transport stop for easy access. Cheers, Arvind
I'm a brazilian moving to Canberra on June 12, with the purpose of studying at ANU (full-time student). In Brazil I'm a public servant. I'm an easy going and calm person.
Chill, professional, open-minded guy seeking a relaxed and fun person/bunch to live with (ideally a gender-balanced house). I usually work on foreign aid projects in warm, exotic places, but will be spending the next 18 months working in Canberra. I tend to be active and love being in the ocean or tearing down a track on my mountain bike. Not into partying much anymore (although I can be coaxed into a night out) but do enjoy a social night in with a few drinks and a good movie, or a good book. Often found trying to cook gourmet dishes, sometimes even known to strum a guitar (poorly). The thought of a Canberra winter terrifies me and I don't really know anyone there yet, so I'll most likely spend my time defrosting in front of the heater until the warmer months roll around :) Some fun facts about me: - Once caught a pig in a swimming race (I won) - Almost tumbled into a lava pit during a holiday - Favourite movies include Dr Strangelove, Casablanca, The Truman Show and Blade Runner - Travelled to about 30 countries, lived in 8 Oh, and I'm open to other suburbs and also higher weekly rents if it's all good.
We've got a room available in Kingston from 11 August. It's $225 a week excluding internet and electricity. You'll have your own room (obviously) and sharing a bathroom with one other. These are the real estate photos, so please note our furnishings may not be to interior designer standards. Shoot me a message if you're interested :)
Your new home could be a light-filled third-floor Kingston foreshore apartment overlooking Kingston Harbour and a short walk to the Bus Depot Markets and Kingston Shopping precinct. The airconditioned apartment has almost everything you need - queen-size bed in a carpeted bedroom with built-in robes, your own bathroom, use of a washing machine/dryer, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, microwave, TV, stereo, coffee machine, dining suite, etc. All new furnishings throughout. The full-width folding glass wall on the lounge area opens all the way onto the balcony - great for entertaining. For a walk-through, see https://my.matterport.com/show/?m=4qZ6j1UEvL7 (note: different furnishings - I moved in a few months ago). The complex also has its own theatrette & roof-top BBQ/entertainment area, plus there's lots of eateries just outside.
I'm sad to say I'll be leaving my beautiful home in Narrabundah as I'm headed for Melbourne for uni, move in dates are negotiable but ASAP is preferred :) A bit about why I love this place so much... Location location location!! Our home is a situated in a beautiful leafy street walking distance to Manuka, Kingston, Kingston foreshore and Griffith. It's a 5 minute walk to the Fyshwick markets for all of your fresh food shopping on the weekend and Narrabundah shops for restaurants, your local grocer, a community garden and a cute little op shop with lots of cute vintage finds too. Civic and Woden are both a 10 min drive. There's an oval a couple of blocks down the street and beautiful walks around the place with forrest-y feels and a creek too! There's much to explore! The house: The house itself is a gorgeous spacious and modern home with old-school charm. We have a big back yard with a BBQ, fire bin and veggie patch. The house has central heating essential for Canberra's winters and summers, the living room is huge with big windows that bring in gorgeous morning sun, the place is fully equipped (the photos are old, we have a TV now!) but there's always room for more stuff and there's extra storage in the garage too. The room: The room is a good size and fits my queen bed, TV, two sets of large drawers and a bedside table with heaps of room to spare for those who want a desk and extra furniture. It has built in wardrobes and a big window that looks onto the garden.
Savige Street used to be an art gallery.. now it's a gallery full of excellent humans living here. Super close to Campbell shops and you can see Parliament House from most windows (ooooh, nation's capital). 4 bedrooms and lots of little misc-y rooms to hang out in. Big backyard with a semi-established veggie garden and lemon tree (lemonade stand, come at me).
Beautiful unit located in a wonderful position. Close to old Kingston shops and a short stroll to the Foreshore. Ground floor which means separate access from the street, this makes for a feeling of independence from the apartment building.
We love to keep our spaces clean and if you choose to team up with us, you will be coming back to a clean and fresh common space everyday. Basic hygiene will be well taken care of. You might even be in for home cooked food (baked, grilled and steamed) and the occasional pan-fried. Socially, we can be both self-contained and sociable, depending on your preference. I am into social sector and will be actively volunteering in Canberra. David has a background in writing, IT and policy and will be reentering the Australia workforce.
