A room is available to rent from Thursday 26 December 2019, though it may be possible to move in a bit earlier. The room is in a large professional home in a quiet street, close to the shops, public transport with direct commute to Civic, Manuka, Kingston and Woden. There is readily available free all day on-street car parking, so parking your car and;/or having friends come for visits is easy. The home includes central heating/aircon; a fireplace; formal and informal dinning rooms; formal living room with a gas fireplace, a formal dinning room with a 12 seat dinning table; a large kitchen; a swimming pool; an undercover patio area overlooking the pool; a two person jet spa; and a Yamaha piano. The room is fully furnished having: a queens-size bed; built-in wardrobes; a small desk; a desk-chair; bedside tables with drawers; and a chest-of-drawers. The rent includes gardening and cleaning of shared areas (i.e. kitchen, bathrooms and living areas), with tenants in charge of cleaning their own room. Our ideal future housemate will have a professional job or be doing post-graduate studies, be mature, considerate and friendly. Please note, we are looking for a single person, not a couple.
The property is very big! We have a backyard and a lovely big kitchen with a lot of cupboard space and a large living room. Your room is a large master bedroom with heaps of closet space. We're a 20 minute walk from Manuka shops and 10 minutes drive from the city. There's also a bus stop right outside the house. Rent and bills are paid monthly. Internet is unlimited and $17.50 a month.
I work full time in public health and just returned from 12 months living overseas. I enjoy bachie nights with my friends, walks in nature and trying new things. I’m a clean and quiet housemate. I’m looking for a share house with a private bathroom and under cover parking. I have some things in storage so if an unfurnished room is up for grabs ideally there would be space for me to store some additional apartment furnishings such as a couch and dining table.
I've been living in Canberra for over a year now and am always loving it. I'm clean, tidy, responsible and quiet - so let me know if you have a place. I'd love to stop by and take a look.
I'm from Melbourne, moving to Canberra for a grad program in February 2020. I'm friendly, easygoing, tidy and independent. I'm happy doing my own thing but also hope to make new friends (as I don't know many people in Canberra), and am down to hang out/shared dinners/movies/bevs etc. I lived in a 12-person sharehouse in Switzerland for 6 months, so I'm used to sharing my space and contributing to chores etc., and enjoy living in a place where there is plenty going on (but also need my downtime). A bit about me: I love to travel, and have lived in France, Switzerland and Canada. I love animals (but am sadly allergic to cats) and sometimes look after Guide Dog puppies in training. I'm an enthusiastic (but not overly talented) skier and am looking forward to being close to the slopes in Canberra next year. I'm a non-smoker, and prefer to live with non-smokers. I'm looking to find other young professionals or students to share a centrally located house or apartment in 2020. I hope to be able to cycle to work, so would like to be less than 10km from Parliament. Feel free to get in touch if you are also in the same boat! Cheers.
Looking for a new place as my current living situation is no longer available. I am laid back/easygoing, tidy, sociable, and will respect people's space. I'm currently working as a camera operator/editor for news. Not party fiend but usually down for a drink! I love the outdoors/nature and being active (bouldering, longboarding, hiking), like to go down to the south coast quite often. Or if I'm feeling lazy always down for a movie or game.
Hi! I'm Rose - a young working professional relocating to Canberra. Originally from Sydney, I enjoy hiking and going for runs so I'm super excited to move to Canberra. I also enjoy reading books, swimming, spending time with friends, meeting new people and learning as much as I can about economics. I’m planning to find a share house or rental place for 6 months or longer. Any area near the city centre is what I’m looking for!
I'm 22, moving from Brisbane to Canberra for a new job in the APS. I love reading, board game nights, outdoor activities, a good brunch out (and the chance to explore new cafes, of which I'm hoping Canberra has many!). I've just finished up a dual degree while also working at an eco friendly store called Biome for 5 years, and am keen to move to Canberra, make some friends, and work hard. I enjoy having a good chat, but also like a bit of time to myself to recharge, so I reckon I could find a good balance with my fellow flatmates based on their needs as well as mine.
Hi folks, I'm Eddy and having lived in Melbourne all my life, I'm finally branching out a bit! I'll be working full time as a public servant but also be studying at the same time at Canberra Institute of Tech. I'd say I'm an agreeable person who makes sure to keep a clean space. I love to meet new people and am always down for a nice hang out, but I also make sure everyone has their own time, space and privacy as that is something I value as well. As for things I like to do, I'm a fan of fast cars, motorcycles and stretching that cardio on some great runs while some of my more sedate hobbies are writing stories and going stargazing.
