Hola friends! We're seeking someone to move into our fab share house when the room frees up in early July. We're a house of five, early to late 20s with a mix of studying / working. The room itself is decent size, easily fits a double bed and comes with it's own bathroom - it's attached to the house in the style of a granny flat, so you've got your own space! The house itself is just one street away from Melbourne Uni and the number 19 tram, which in 3 stops gets you to the CBD (past Vic Market, Melbourne Central, etc). You'd need to claim the room by July 14th, but flexible to move in slightly earlier if you need. You'd also need to pay around $100 to the estate agent for a tenant transfer - but after that you're good to go!
upstairs room in lovely old house, private backyard, close to trams, two blocks from melbourne university. open fireplace in living room. share vegetarian kitchen (must comply with the vegetarian bit), no smoking in house. looking for somebody without a car, as we can only get one visitor parking permit.
Hello house hunters, Our token ‘Man of the house’ is headed off to Amsterdam on the 9th of July so we are looking for one cool cat to take his place. Our cute little terrace is in the top notch location of Parkville with trees lining the streets and grassy landings at every turn. We are super close to royal parade, with tram 19 just a stones throw away and cycling from our house is just so damn convenient. We prefer having a guy move in as there are 3 of us girls here already and its nice to keep some sort of balance. But we are still open to having a girl as well. We are looking for someone who is friendly, clean and tidies up after themselves, likes to have a chat and share an occasional family meal. You’ll also have to be car-less as unfortunately we don’t have room for another car. Internationals are welcome Sorry no couples or pets. Costs: We split bills equally and all put in for house necessities like toilet paper, dish soap etc. The room will be $695 per month Bond is $750 The room is a comfortable living space, can fit a double bed with space to spare, (Bed comes with the room and is semi furnished). Its on the second level and has lots of natural light from the window with central heating for the winter time!
UPDATE: larger room taken. Only the smaller room remaining Beautiful victorian terrance a stone throw away from everything. Sweet cafe across the road, the location is quiet and beautiful. 15 minute walk to Vic markets (hence the edge of the city), lygon street (nova cinema $6 on mondays), Princes park and royal park for running and only 5 minutes walk to Melbourne University. We are on the tram 19 line, which is useful as it runs all night! We have a veggie patch and currently has potatos growing in it, however more veggies to come during spring. Franklin our 6 month old ginger and white cat from RSPCA also lives here. Features: housemates (we are generally good inner city melbourne people), huge windows in living area, quiet neighbourhood, tall ceilings, close to supermarkets, park and city life. There is a cafe across the road for coffee needs, and the street is very quiet and area residential. Room 1 : the room available is the smallest in the house so only suitable for 1 person. it currently is furnished with a a queen bed from ikea and a chest of draws, little cupboard . All furniture can stay in the room or otherwise you can bring your own furniture in. It would suit a student. Please note it has no window, but a skylight on the roof. The tall roof makes it feel spacious however it is little. Room 2: TAKEN The second room available is medium to large room, fits a queen size bed with a window into our little rainforest garden. It has large built in wardrobes, a study desk and a large mirror with chests underneath. You do not need much to move into this lovely room.
Unfurnished room for rent in 4-bedroom classic Victorian Terrace in Parkville. The house is 3 mins from the 19, 5 mins from the 59, but you’ll probably walk everywhere considering its 10 mins walk to the city. Being the largest bedroom in the house with its own private balcony, south facing windows, HIGH ceilings, built in cupboards and a delightful ornamental fireplace; the room is $250PW+bills. About you: a social, friendly, happy early to mid-20’s post-grad or young professional, who possesses a desire to live in a social but clean house. Preferences go to people who can tolerate watching 7 year switch and Survivor and/or barrack for Carlton. Send me a message telling us about yourself and why you’d suit our house and we’ll work out a time to come check it out and meet us! We are looking to have the room filled from the 23rd/24th of June or ASAP after then, and will be conducting interviews this Sunday (18/6) AM! No pets or couples sorry!
Hello to all the fantastic people out there looking for a home! Two double rooms are available in our house and so we will be welcoming four new legends :) You: Either TWO FRIENDS or a COUPLE in their twenties that are staying in Melbs at least 4-6 months. You want a home, not just a room and a bed. You want to get to know your housemates and are available for the occasional house dinner but you also have your own life going on. You're looking for a comfortable home, a cosy atmosphere and while you're not opposed to the occasional friend gathering and pre-drinks in the house, you aren't too rowdy either. You're basically perfect. Flawless. Godly. The house is in Parkville: between Melbourne University and Royal Park. The Uni is a 5 min walk away, the free tram zone is a 15min walk away and it's a 15min tram ride to Flinders Station. We have no pets and would prefer to keep it that way. The two rooms for two people are identical and are 350$ per week (for two, making it 175 per person), available from the 25nd of June and currently have two single beds, two desks and two wardrobes.
2 rooms are up for grabs in the top floor of an amazingly located complex, right in the heart of Parkville. Do you want: - Easy tram access? Check! (Stop is <50 metres from the front door) - Space to move in? Check! (2 huge living areas, both bedrooms definitely on the large end of the scale) - A 10 minute walk to Melbourne Uni? Check! - An abundance of greenery? Check! (Sandwiched right between Princess and Royal parks) - Easy shopping options? Check! (20 minute walk/5 minute tram to the Queen Vic Market, same distance the other way to Barkly Square) - Stunning views from balconies (in both rooms)? Check! Room 1 is the larger of the two, especially once combined with the walk-in robe AND ensuite! (featuring a spa!) It is definitely big enough for a couple, but if you're a single who likes their own space (and lots of it!), it will work for you too. The balcony is shared with the downstairs living room, but there is a dividing wall, so you don't get disturbed from that side. Did I mention there is a spa? It also comes furnished with a queen bed+base, desk+chair and dresser with mirror. Room 2 is smaller - but still large! Deffinitely heaps of space for 1 (or 2!) person(s). It has a hefty set of built-in robes and a private balcony. The bathroom is shared with 1 other room (but it also has its own bathtub, which is the most important thing!) and you will also has access to the upstairs living room. This room can be furnished or unfurnished when you move in. For both rooms, the rent is paid monthly on the 13th of the month, and the bond is $614 for each room. Bills tend to average about $25 per person per week, with 3 people here.
The Details: A single room for rent in a fully furnished two bedroom apartment with kitchen and laundry. Room is available for rent for a minimum of 4 months, with the possibility of extending if all goes well :). The unit is on the third floor with views of the city from its balcony that is eastward facing. It is nestled between Royal Park and Prices Park, is an easy walk to Sydney Rd, Lygon St., a 5-10 minute walk to Melbourne University, and a 10 minute tram ride to the CBD. About me: I am currently pursuing my postgraduate studies, have recently started my own business, and am looking for a job in finance. I love outdoor activities, travel, fitness/dance, music, business, finance, investing, and watching movies to unwind after a hectic day. It would be great (although not necessary) if my housemate and I shared common interests, as that would give us plenty to talk about! It is important that my housemate is pedantic about cleanliness, is tidy, and respectful, as I'd like to ensure this home provides a comfortable environment to retreat to after a busy day. Both housemates will be equally responsible for sharing the cleaning and ensuring the place is kept tidy. The apartment is open for viewing from the 19th of February onwards. Females only. One room is available in amazing Parkville just across Royal Park, close to city, unimelb, Sydney road and all the best of the city. Rent is 800 pcm+bills which is very reasonable considering the location. Room is ready right away, and we are looking for someone to move in ASAP. About the house: it is a clean, quiet house in a good neighborhood. We try to clean after ourselves, enjoy each other’s company as well as having in mind the privacy and boundaries. You’ll be living with two people. Alex is 25 finishing her final semester and is graduating soon, she is also working part time in post office. She likes to jug, and a big fan of video games. I’m 26, doing my master of architecture at unimelb, enjoy my movies, books, beers and cooking. We are all mostly busy during week, and enjoy our weekends with couple of beers and a good laugh. We got a backyard as well which is perfect for bbq and small parties once in a while. We are looking to rent the room long-term, and don’t have any preferred gender in mind as far as you are nice, respecting others, house trained and close doors after midnight with patience. If you are interested write to me a little about yourself, what you do, and all the things you think we should care about. We try to manage inspection this weekend. All the best.
