The apartment is within a very secure building and is close to the centre of Canberra. Located in between Lake Burely Griffin and the War Memorial. To get to the Canberra centre only takes 20 minutes to walk. There is a bus stop just across the street to head into or away from the city. The room for rent is huge - we currently have it set up as a loungeroom but looking to bring someone into it! Its size is roughly 3m x 6m. This is the only bedroom in the downstairs area. This room also has a bathroom across the hall - it's pretty much exclusively used by whoever moves into this room (but we share the toilet). All the furniture shown in the photo can be moved or you can use it too. Our house is in Reid - roughly a 5 minute walk to the Canberra Centre and Civic. We have a big backyard, veggie patch, large storage shed and plenty of room to park a car. The house is furnished but there's plenty of space if you have some things to bring. Super fast internet is available for $10 a month. Utilities not included, but typically costs about $70-100 per quarter all up. We aren't charged for water usage. We have been living in this house for nearly a year and absolutely love it. We lease straight from the owner, who's very easygoing. We're looking to renew the lease for another 6 months - so we need someone to sign onto that with us. There will be an option to renew at the end of that period, depending on the owner's consent.
