The property is an older house; it was originally a 2 bedroom house but has an extension (a large living room/family room). There are polished floorboards throughout the house. The room is generous is size (approximately 3.4m x 4.6m); I think it may have been the original lounge room. There is a wardrobe available for use if needed. There is a big frontyard and a reasonably sized backyard. One of the best things about the property is its location. It is close to public transport, Chadstone shopping centre and Holmesglen Tafe. It is a 1.5 km walk to both Holmesglen and Jordanville station. Other considerations The room is strictly for 1 occupant only but happy for a partner to stay 1 -2 nights per week or for visitors from interstate etc to stay several nights. So if you're an extrovert with a party like lifestyle, then this place is probably not the right fit for you. The house is within walking distance of Deakin Uni, Jordanville Station and the Burwood Highway tram line (tram No.75 gets you to the city and back (in approx. 50 minutes). There's a gym facility on our block with low cost membership available, and next to it there's a 24 hour service station, which comes in handy at times! Not to mention a pole dancing studio, acting/dance studios, fish 'n' chip and bottle shop all within walking distance. There are some lovely cafes, along with shops, banks, post offices and supermarkets nearby. Behind our home, there is also a walking/bike track that runs for kilometers through scenic flora and fauna (it also connects to Deakin Uni). The house itself has a cute cottage feel inside and is reasonably spacious with an antique style. The large open living space, comes with a stylish fireplace (which is awesome in winter), ducted floor heating, air conditioning in lounge area and decent sized kitchen space. The bedroom is really lovely and often previous housemates would say they feel like being in a cozy cabin at a resort.
