Hello, We are a friendly and casual bunch of professionals looking for a responsible new Housemate to share our huge historic home, 150 metres stroll to the beach. We have two rooms for you to choose from. There are seven bedrooms upstairs, with only six currently occupied, 2 bathrooms upstairs and 2 down. The largest bedroom available is downstairs with French doors, fireplace/mantle, wood panelling and separate entrance (please see pics below) and can be seen from the front of the house, underneath the balcony. That room is $250 pw ($1083 pcm). The other room is upstairs and is (considerably) much smaller. This room is $200 pw ($866 pcm) and is currently unoccupied, so is available now! Additional costs are bills, which are divided by all 8 of us (including you). The bills total approx $10-$13 pw, which pay for all utilities; including wifi. Our home is fully equipped with dishwasher, TV room, clothes washer & dryer, heating and cooling throughout etc. Unfortunately, one of our Homeys has just left Victoria for work purposes, so we're looking for one more person to complete our happy Home. Hi All, my housemate's been bitten by the love bug and will be moving out very soon with his wife. So I need a new housemate by 2nd October and I'm really excited about it! Let me give you the Lowdown- I live in a double storey 3 bedroom 2 1/2 bathroom townhouse in Gardenvale that my housemate and I have been sharing for close to 3 years now. The house is perfectly located on Kooyong Road close to the Brighton-Elwood beach front and all transport options- -There's a Bus stop right next to the house with frequent buses to the CBD, Gardenvale Station and Chadstone Mall -It’s a short 10 minute walk (700 Meters) to Gardenvale Train Station -An even shorter walk to the closest tram stop (Tram Route 64) on Hawthorne Road -If you have a car I also have an off street car spot for you The house is amply large with a backyard for entertaining, a fully dedicated kitchen and dining area with a small walk-in pantry, gas stove tops, oven, fridge, microwave, an assortment of small kitchen appliances and sufficient storage for all things kitchen. The laundry is equipped with washing machine, dryer and a sink with storage space for cleaning essentials. There's a living room as you enter the house with a sofa bed, recliner and a home theater. A smaller room in between the living and dining rooms that I use as a mini bar, and a guest toilet. All 3 bedrooms are located upstairs alongside a rumpus area. You will get your own room with built in robes as well as your own bathroom (Sink, Shower and Bath) located right next to your room and a separate toilet a few steps away from the bedroom. Besides a large mirrored built in robe, the bedroom is unfurnished so you can furnish it as per your choice. I use the master bedroom as well as the smallest of the 3 rooms as a Study/Guest room. The bedroom and bathroom are spacious and the same size as the master bedroom. The house is fully heated with gas ducted heating, WIFI with unlimited ADSL internet connection and a landline with unlimited local calls to other land lines. The Essentials- - I will be adding you to the lease since the real estate agent requires it, there is a bond amount of $900 payable to me by bank transfer and then I will add you to the Rental Tenancy Agreement with the bond being retained by the RTBA - The weekly rent is $200 payable to me by bank transfer on the 1st of every calendar month totaling to $867/Month - Power, Gas, Phone/Internet and Water bills are in addition to the rent stated above and will be shared equally between the two of us. This is approximately $100-$140 a month depending on usage. Gas bills are higher during the winter months. Your share of the bills are payable to me by bank transfer at the end of every month along with the rent. - I am also happy to share bills for household consumables as I get them for cheap in bulk from Costco - I am ideally looking for a long term housemate so I require at least a 6 -8 month commitment from your side if not a full year to make this a win for both of us - Should you choose to leave any time, I will require one calendar months' notice period or one month's rent if you can't provide the notice. - The bond money will be paid back to you by myself after adjusting the final month bills and arrears if any. The Housekeeping- - I am a neat and tidy person, I put in sufficient efforts to keep the house clean therefore I will expect the same from you as well. - I am not a party animal but I do have friends over for a BBQ or a get together every once in a while and you sure can join in and do the same with your friends. Music and a bit of noise are okay with me so long as you turn it down by midnight else the neighbors will complain! About you- I am looking for a single person (Female or Male) to share the house with me, off course you can have your guests staying in whenever you find the need to. My preference is for someone working full time in whatever it is that you do for a living, just so that I feel confident that the rent and bills will be paid on time every month. I love where I live! Its central to everything. I live on a beautiful street, the very famous 'St Georges Rd" of elsternwick. No need for a car, the shops, train station, trams are all within walking distance. The building itself is a beautiful old Edwardian mansion and my unit is the only one with a courtyard. As I am a keen gardner I have created a beautiful oasis for my self. I love nothing more that to chill out in the courtyard on my hammock with a glass of wine in my hand... bliss.
