This large, renovated 1920s/30s home has a very peaceful, calm and homely feel. Beautiful leafy outlooks from all the rooms and plenty of sunlight helps to create a little oasis away from the hustle and bustle of the every day. However, having said that there is still plenty to do in the area. The house is only a 20min walk to the beach!! and an 8min walk to Church st Brighton, which boasts great cafe's, restaurants, shops and a cinema. It's also only an 8-minute walk to the train station (Sandringham line). The city is only a 20min train ride away! You're close to Elwood and St Kilda but it's that little bit further out to be a bit calmer. Having just moved out of St Kilda myself, I'm really appreciating the tranquility of the area but also feeling more safe. The room available is very large, has polished floorboards, almost floor to ceiling windows that looks out onto the beautifully maintained garden and a brand-new IKEA wardrobe. Not to mention ducted heating (for the winter!), the house stays very cool in the summer. Plus, you only have to share the large, newly renovated bathroom with one other person :) The house features a big living room with stunning leafy outlook, polished floorboards, ducted heating, very large bedrooms, 3 toilets, plenty of storage space, car port and a beautifully maintained garden. I think aside from the spacious living and dining area, the most alluring feature of this home is the illusion of retired living you can experience with the back porch. We live for the brunches, lunches, dinners and coffees just sitting out at the back reminiscing the youthful past we are actually still living in. Blessed by trees and really good ventilation, the house keeps itself cool under the summer sun. The granny neighbor once complained how she got cold from staying indoors, and just sat out at the porch for warmth. *About the Area* Elsternwick is only the best suburb in the South East for a young hopeful. Why do I think it's the best? Coz it lovingly surrounds you with all that you need to create a blissful, creative, relaxing and supportive backdrop to the busy rush of your modern living. Nothing too much here, and nothing less. It's just enough as it is. Some killer brownie points for the area: - 10 minute lazy walk to the massive Elsternwick dog park. We abuse this local hotspot for its healing attribute involving lots and lots of puppies. It won't hurt to wish for a cute meet to happen here. - 20 minute jog to Elwood Beach behind the dog park. Getting close with voluminous container of water somehow help wash away sorrow. Deep pier thoughts with freezing breeze blasted to your face from the shore is a wake-up call to live life better. Brighton Beach is a 10 minute drive. - 4 minute sprint to Elsternwick station, tram stop, and bus stops. I love the location of this flat. 30-40 mins of tramming to CBD with Melbourne University as the end stop, or go quick for 20 minutes on the train. - 5 minute walk to the strip of Tudor-style shops comprised of delis, cafes, restaurants, coffee shops, froyo, Coles, Officeworks, pharmacists, yoga trainings and fitness centers, bottle shops, fruit and veggies, butcher, and lots of lots of bagels. You don't need to drive anywhere else for your basic necessities. The area boasts a colorful range of cuisines; Vietnamese, Mexican, Thai, Hungarian, Polish, Chinese, Israeli, Japanese, Greek, Italian, Korean, Middle Eastern are the ones I can remember on top of my head. There is also a classic beloved ice cream parlor, and lots of health food stores and cafes. Classic Theatre one of the earliest theaters in Melbourne is across the station, and still hasn't lost its charm. The biggest draw card to this place would have to be that its literally a 3 min walk from Elwood beach and about the same to Elwood village, which has some amazing restaurants and cafes. Although technically considered a flat, this unit covers the whole ground floor, which makes it feel as though you're living in a house. I love where I live! Its central to everything. I live on a beautiful street, the very famous 'St Georges Rd" of elsternwick. No need for a car, the shops, train station, trams are all within walking distance. The building itself is a beautiful old Edwardian mansion and my unit is the only one with a courtyard. As I am a keen gardner I have created a beautiful oasis for my self. I love nothing more that to chill out in the courtyard on my hammock with a glass of wine in my hand... bliss.

Hi, to all of you that are looking for a place to call it home from this up coming week onwards. I live in a nice and cozy 2 bedrooms modern house that is spacious and bright. The main bedroom is the room I am looking to fill. About the room, it's really big and fully furnished with: queen sized bed, double wardrobe, study desk, standing mirror, air conditioning also other furniture available on request. In case you would like to bring your own furniture (that's cool), I will take mine out to storage. The house is fully furnished, there is a separate living area with: Big screen TV, DVD and home theater surround sound system. Separate kitchen and dining area with: cook-top, grill, oven, dishwasher, microwave, coffee machine etc.. There is a separate laundry room with a washing machine and iron board. I enjoy going to the beach for a jog or walk and love the cinema which is close by. I also like to head out on weeknights to see live music or catch up with friends. I'm very independent but always happy to have a chat when we bump into each other. I'm considerate of the need for downtime and rest that is needed - some nights you just need to chill or relax. This place is great for transport- a 7 min walk to Ripponlea station, 2 min walk to 67 tram to Melb Uni, 12 min walk to the beach and park.
