On a weekend the town is bustling with people, vintage cars and motorbikes. Cafes and Wineries are all around and a short drive to Healesville Sanctuary or the Chocolatier.
This is a 4-year old home situated on a beautiful 100 acre bush property in Strathewen. Strathewen is located 17 minutes drive from the nearest train station in Hurstbridge, so you’ll need a car. There's an amazing amount of birdlife, as well as kangaroos, wallabies, echidnas and wombats. The length of stay will depend on how well we live together. Our residents come from a variety of professions including administration, healthcare, education, and hospitality. There is a mix of male and female residents. The home offers quiet, clean, secure and affordable accommodation. It is newly renovated and landscaped, with a well zoned floorplan. The home is much bigger than it looks from the street and from photos. The home is perfectly located a short distance to shops, hospitals, recreational facilities, the new Box Hill Tafe Campus, and public transport. A walk to Lilydale Station would take around 15 mins. There is a bus stop (Bus No. 677) , just a couple of minutes walk from the house. The bus will take you direct to the station or on to Chirnside Park Shopping Centre. We are located opposite the Gateway Reserve, so perfect for the morning (or afternoon) jog. Lots of open spaces and VERY quiet area. Home has been renovated with new flooring, paint, bathroom, kitchen, etc. Mod cons include Gas Ducted Heating, Gas Hot Water, and Gas Cooking. There is a very large open plan kitchen with two sinks, two gas cooktops, oven, and microwave.
