The place has great facilities for students and the rent is relatively cheap. The drawback is that your room is quite small and you get the upper bunk of the bed. (the lower bunk blocked off and is in another room so your room is still private). The kitchen has 2 refrigerators, induction stoves, microwave, a dishwasher and an oven. There's lots of shelves and cupboards around the kitchen as well. You also get digital control of the rooms temperature. Although your room itself is small, the public areas make it worth it. There's a beautiful view with barbecue and cooking areas on the 3rd floor (communal), games rooms, gyms and a small theater for your movie nights with friends. This place is also a great opportunity for you to make friends as most of the people staying here are students.
Situated on a peaceful street with plenty of lawns and nature. The house is something homely where everyone has their own space but vibe well with one another too. It's a beautiful area, fairly spacious and has some wonderful parks nearby. All the essentials as well: TV, Stan, Netflix, PS4, Wifi, Heating, Aircon, Stove, Dishwasher ... Not sure what I might have missed! It's next to busy Lygon St, a five minute walk from Uni Melb and a three minute walk to either tram stop you like. You get to the city in about 10 minutes. Not to mention a five minute walk from Carlton Gardens.
Has airconditioning and is very convenient, close to CBD and Lygon street and several cafes. Also nearby are Melbourne Uni and RMIT, with the tram stop just one minute walk away. Located on the 8th floor, great views and has good security too.
The location is just amazing, just inform of the 114 tram station that will take you direct to the city in less than 10 minutes, 8 minutes by walking from Melbourne uni, surrounded by plenty of restaurants and Italian culture, just 15 minutes by walking from Fitzroy, the complex is got lots of features such as outdoor swimming pool, 24 hours well equipped gym, sauna, bbq, basketball court, social room with table tennis and billiard, 24 hours reception, free parking for motorbikes and push bikes in premises. We live in a big, 5 bedroom, 2 bathroom furnished 2 storey Victorian terrace house very close to Melb Uni, RMIT, the city, Lygon St is around the corner and opposite a tram stop. We have a cleaner for the common areas, on street parking and high speed broadband internet. Every bedroom has a lockable door, double bed, wardrobe, desk etc. There is a BBQ, TV, Christmas tree and goldfish. Struggling to grow a herb garden. Bills are $25 pw and the cleaner is $10 pw. Everyone is on the lease so you’re equal to everyone else. Our housemates are really great and from everywhere. A bit like the UN Aside from me they are generally in their 20s. I live with Bayu who is from Bali and studying IT, Becca is from Chicago on a working holiday. Jacopo is from Turin and works as a chef. Luke is from Bristol in England and works in the CBD as an accounting auditor. Nicolas next door is doing his Masters comes from Columbia. Dom (really Dominique) is doing a degree in English and Art History at Melb Uni. Hanna is Australian from Adelaide and both works and studies. She has a obtained a student exchange to Canada which is why her room is becoming vacant. Jack is Australian and has returned after living in London, works at St Vincent's hospital. Melanie is French and is doing a marketing/communication internship. It is a bit unusual as we share a courtyard/deck with the similar terrace next door. You will be meeting those guys a lot and it can feel like a uni college or Hogwarts. There can be up to eleven of us in two large fully furnished and renovated terraces. It is not for everyone but we really love this social living. We are trying to have a great time staying here, making life long friends and not just be housemates. And there is no better location.
