We are three full time professional females (aged mid-20s to mid-30s) looking for a fourth housemate for our 5 bedroom, 2 bathroom house in Norwood. Quiet street, very close to buses, walking distance to the CBD and to the Parade and all it has to offer. The room is a decent size but is unfurnished. The rest of the house is fully furnished. We have a spare bedroom which we use for storage and we also have a storage room out the back. You'd be sharing a bathroom with two of us. We have a gas stove top, dishwasher, central heating/cooling. We are looking for another professional to join our household (preferably female, but not essential). We would also consider a student with a part time job. We're looking for someone who is intelligent, clean, considerate and willing to contribute with household chores (i.e. putting out the bins, occassionally weeding the garden etc). Rent is $140/week. Internet and utilities not included. Internet is $15/month and we have a cleaner come in fortnightly for ~$14 each. We currently have two cars and a two car driveway, however if we became a three car household we would qualify for a street permit. Everything you're looking for in a sharehome! 15 minute walk to Rundle Mall, easy to catch a bus or cycle into the CBD. Less than 1km from East Tce and North Tce. Unlimited internet split three ways. Quarterly bills split three ways. The household itself is mostly furnished, although each bedroom will be empty so you will need furnishings there. One off-road parking space, plus on-road parking available with the purchase of a permit from the council. Of the three rooms in the house, two are large and available at $150 p.w., but I'm more than happy to rent someone the smaller room I'm currently in for $130 p.w. Larger rooms are 3.9 by 3.9m, and 3.6 by 4.5m, while the smaller is 2.95 by 3.9m. Technically have access to foxtel but it isn't currently connected. The shared area has air conditioning. High ceilings and wooden floors. The lease rolls over in February, with one housemate wanting to move out ASAP due to travel while the other is moving back home when the lease expires and doesn't mind exiting earlier.
The house is located in a great spot, only a short 10 minute walk to Rundle street and a 5 minute walk to the Botanic Gardens across the road! House had a lovely open plan, light filled living and lounge area and a nice small courtyard/grassed area out the back. The room is a great sized room and has a built in cupboard. Pretty relaxed living space - great for studying and close to city, Norwood shops etc. Very old villa with lots of rustic charm and a nice garden with plenty of room to start veggie patches/ pursue hobbies etc. It's a lush place that is surely very inviting for those with a green thumb. The house is very old, circa 1880 and was likely one of the first establishments in the area. Yep they sure don't build them like they used to, and this old beast has certainly stood the test of time. With it comes the energies of families, lovers, artists and travelers from all walks of life across many different parts of the world. The space is a quiet place and best suited for those who like peaceful living, with the occasional dinner with friends and good banter. I have a large double room available at the front of the house. It has been recently repainted and has a queen bed, large standing desk, shelving and open hanging space for clothes. It is a comfortable space with lots of room. I would ideally like a couple in this room as it reduces rent and makes living here quite cheap, however i am open to single applicants also. With three people here it's $100 each per week, which includes ADSL. Water and electricity are extra and charged quarterly. I like being around people who are light hearted with a sense of humour, and preferable experience with share-house living.
Hi. We're looking to fill one large bedroom in our spacious five-bedroom house in St Peters, as one of our housemates is moving on. We're in a great big house, less than 10 minutes from the city on a bike (the Torrens River bike path is ~300 metres away) or bus (the bus stop is literally across the road). The bedroom is large and can easily fit a king size bed. The house has two large living areas, one bathroom (with separate toilet, it has never been a problem), a massive backyard (with a trampoline!), and a cellar. We also have high-speed (ADSL2) internet. Rent is $118 per person per week (for a total of $590/week for the house) - our bond is 6 weeks' worth, or $708/person, paid to the landlord. Utilities and internet generally work out to around $25-30 per person per week on top of that.
