The backyard has water access to launch a kayak into the beautiful Hawkesbury River and it is located very close to a new oval and playing field. Brooklyn is located about 20 minutes north of Hornsby and is about halfway between Hornsby and Gosford (would suit someone who commutes from the coast to Sydney for work etc and is about a 3 minute drive to the Hawkesbury River train station). The room for rent is unfurnished and good internet is included in the rent. There is a shared bathroom and laundry with washing machine and dryer. The bedroom itself is not huge hence it is suitable for one person. There is on street parking available and space to store a motorcycle in an undercover or locked area off street.

This is a very unique house, with a large waterfall running under the front of your room which depending in what you like can be beautifully relaxing night and day and at times in heavy rain is really beautiful.. Some parts of the house are still being constructed so I need people to understand some areas may be off limits and considered a little dangerous to kids until the final work is completed. It is a very peaceful and quiet place as the neighbours on either side are not directly next to the house. It does has its own separate access. There are bus stops a short walk away that service Gordon station and also an express bus to the city. There is a spiral staircase up to the rest of the house, so it is not acoustically isolated in either direction! Some facilities like laundry are shared with the other occupants. The tenant would want to be somewhat social and be happy to allow two teenagers to focus on the HSC by not partying all night. I'm looking for an individual, not a couple or a parent/child. The fit of the person to the environment is important. I would rather the space be left vacant than have a tenant who didn't suit our family's circumstances. That being said, as a single dad I now have a serious mortgage and I need the extra income to help pay it off. The room is currently fitted out as a rumpus room. I'm happy to let it furnished or unfurnished and make it more suitable as a private space by fitting curtains or making sensible easy changes like that. The needs of the tenant will dictate whether I strip it out for you, or leave much of the furniture there. You decide! There's also a terribly affectionate Cavoodle dog who is bound to become your new best friend. If you are anti-dog, you need to factor that in.
