(One of the 3 is already rented out to a long-standing tenant who works long hours, but enjoys some social time. He is French, and has been with us for years in various homes.) The house is quiet; and mainly used as a studio for my wife's business which is as a high end photographer. So, we typically find large houses with a certain classiness & style in which we live & operate her studio. I also run my IT business from a small office. But all of that is downstairs, leaving the upstairs rooms available for sub-lease. We typically look for long-term single, professional people; who enjoy good company, and who are stable. We offer furnished generous rooms with all utilities including wifi to cable broadband internet, shared bathroom & separate upstairs, access to the main kitchen downstairs and to a family room downstairs. That room has a flat screen TV with great sound system, DVD player and most likely a Fetch TV [soon to be installed] with standard Fetch subscription and access to pay-per-view movies [your cost, of course]. $350 per week. Street parking. Walking distance to St Ives Village, close to bus transport which leads to Gordon station for easy city access. The ground floor family room looks out over an in-ground pool which you may also use. We do have a cat, who is rather friendly, so if you are allergic - this is not for you. About the only restrictions are that during times when a photography session is happening, that you show some discretion as the subjects are often women who want privacy. Second, we sometimes use the family room for our guests, when we have friends/family over for a bbq & swim. It would not always be appropriate for you to join in as we need some privacy! Now, the rooms themselves are very generous. As I said there are two to choose from. One is actually two rooms, so it works well for someone who wants to have their sleeping area separate from their living area. While the other room is just a huge space with a large walk in wardrobe. Each room comes with a desk, bar fridge, and single bed & portable a/c as a minimum; but you will also find a desk, chair and some table lamps.
Great location. Very quiet and a true bush setting. Outdoor bbqs and smoking outside. Strictly drug free environment, no pets as there is plenty of wildlife here. Certainly not a 5 star place but it is to me. Dry storage available for bulky items. The room does have a single bed but everything is optional. A working person is needed to be reliable with the rent or be absolutely loaded and proove it. Lol. Im an ausie bloke and im certainly not racist. However a similar person to myself would be looked at more favorably. Its available now and another 2 rooms will be available shortly. The room does have built in robes and a full length window looking at the bush setting. So if you like to chill by the outdoor bbq or read a book or even like to tinker in a shed, this place could be for you.
