Surrounded by friendly cafes, local pubs, beautiful galleries, pizzerias and not to mention one of the best French restaurants in the Canberra region. This home is the perfect village lifestyle living, with all the facilities at your doorstep.. your local supermarket, GP, Physio just to name a few. This property is absolute village lifestyle Bungendore and an easy commute to Canberra.
I'm offering a room in my own home in the quiet village of Bungendore - 44 km from Canberra and 20km from Queanbeyan. I currently have an ANU researcher staying with me who will leave some time over the next few months. The house is only a few years old and is passive solar and also generates its own electricity. Although in the village I've been able to live on my tank water for the 18 months I've been here - so if you are in to long hot showers this probably isn't the house for you. I have two small dogs (one belongs to my daughter and the other belongs to a work colleague - which I took on as they couldn't find accommodation with them). I also have two cats that have their own run and are contained to one end of the house. Public transport options to and from Bungendore are limited. There are buses and also trains between Bungendore and Queanbeyan but there aren't many so you would need your own car.
The house is a new, light and bright 3br, 2 bathroom home. On offer is an unfurnished bedroom, main bathroom all to yourself and I have converted the third bedroom into a study/lounge area so that there are 2 separate living areas. Ducted heating/air conditioning, all new appliances in kitchen and laundry. Internet included in rent. The bedroom has a built in robe and other storage is available. The house is a 1min walk from the new shopping centre opening in July/August 2018 which hosts a supermarket, gym, cafe/bakery, gastro pub, butcher, etc and allied health precinct. Googong is a new township, 7-8 mins drive behind Queanbeyan. 25-30mins from Manuka, Woden and Tuggeranong. It has a nice safe community feel and friendly vibe.
The house is a little run down but has the basic essentials. Cheap rent and no locked in contract so you can stay as little or as long as you like. Close proximity to CBD, train station, airport, Canberra city, Canberra Outlet Centre, etc. Enjoy country living with city benefits.
Situated on a quiet street, this big 4 bedroom house is a great place to unwind after work. a Large patio, formal dining area and furnished bedroom awaits you. Hi, I will have a fully furnished room (QS bed; cupboard) for one person that is AVAILABLE from 4 August...or sooner. I do not want more furniture brought into the house - the house is fully furnished and well equipped. Because of this I am happy to have short-term shares i.e. you might be looking for somewhere more suitable that will take your furniture but you need to move out of where you are staying. For less than 4 weeks add another $15 a week to the weekly rent. More than 4 weeks we then work out the shared gas, electricity and water bills. The house is a RENOVATED WEATHERBOARD close to Queanbeyan CBD. There is a lovely garden and back deck. Gas heating and cooking and solar hot water (with a manual electric booster) and NBN limited wireless and 4G. There is on-street parking which is well lit and is time unlimited. There is public transport a short walk to town (less than 10 minutes) and Queanbeyan railway station is a 15 minute (or 25 minutes with a heavy backpack!) walk. And if you work in Canberra city, there is a park-and-ride just across the border in Fyshwick. Or if you are into cycling there is bicycle path into Canberra that swings past the park-and-ride. If you are staying longer than a few weeks, you've got to be willing to do your bit in the garden - THIS IS ESSENTIAL! OR you will need to pay to have someone do your bit. Garden tasks are mostly sweeping the paths, deck, driveway and raking eucalyptus bark and leaves (once every few weeks) and occasional mowing and cutting back hideously invasive ivy. Between two it is less than onerous. Please do not hesitate to give me a hoy if you are in any way interested. Any references would be helpful. And I really do not care whether you are a 'professional' or not - used alone, I find the term pretentious :-) I am much happier knowing about your interests :-) rather than how you earn a living (and yes, I know they could be one and the same...). Queanbeyan is a well kept secret and a great place to live - this is from a born and bred Canberran. The house is a safe, short walk to town which has nice pubs and eateries and all the essential shops including a couple of excellent op-shops.
Apartment with your own living area, bathroom and balcony. Shared gallery style kitchen. Bills and unlimited NBN internet included in rent. Underground parking with a storage shed. Close to Canberra and downtown Queanbeyan. Bedroom and living area are already furnished but can be swapped out for your own.
The townhouse is located approx. 2-minute drive and a 10-minute walk from the shops. It is a part of a brand-new complex and is currently fully furnished (except the available room). This small-scale townhouse has ducted air-conditioning and heating, and street parking is available. We are currently awaiting NBN connection (installation of the box, though a service provider already established with Telstra). The room itself is unfurnished and would easily fit a queen bed, it also has a built-in wardrobe. It will be a shared bathroom and toilet. Rent is $180/wk., excluding bills. If you are interested in an inspection please message me, as we can arrange a time (afternoons or weekends preferable). Unfortunately no pets allowed.
The room has a built-in wardrobe and is unfurnished. The rent includes electricity, internet and Netflix which is connected to the lounge room tv. The only thing you are responsible for is your food but happy to discuss if you want to do joint shopping or separate. I have 2 small dogs so you should be dog-friendly. The unit is 3 bedrooms and has a front courtyard and I have a small BBQ in the front yard. Parking off street on footpath. Only about 1klm to shopping centre town centre and hospital and quiet location.

Our house is wonderful, we love it! We have a big house and backyard, a nice front balcony and front deck which is wonderful to sit out on. We have a big lounge room and family area. There are three toilets, two bathrooms. We have upstairs and downstairs, with the laundry, garage and a toilet down stairs. Upstairs we have a split level with the bedrooms, a very large bathroom and a separate toilet for you to share with our other flatmate. My partner and I have an ensuite and an office, the office of which you are welcome to use. Then we have our dining room, family room, large kitchen and lounge room separate. Both rooms advertised get very good sun in winter and are lovely. We have ducted gas heating and ducted evaporative air conditioning which we have recently had replaced and it works perfectly. Both of our flatmates loved their rooms and were sad to leave. The bathroom which you would share is huge, containing a shower, spa bath and large basin with plenty of storage space. The toilet is separate and there is a powder room with this, so lots of room. We are happy to have a couple or two friends, we are flexible in terms of renting both rooms to a couple or one to a couple and the other another individual. We are two streets away from the bush which is great for exercise. We are more than happy to have dinners and spend time with you but are also happy if you want to have our own space and do your own thing. The room is not furnished however the rest of the house is, including kitchen appliances and we are happy for you to use these freely so our lounge room, dining space etc. The parking is on street however it is a quiet street and we have never had any problems nor have our neighbours who have lived here for over 20 years now. We are more than happy to answer any questions you have and look forward to hearing from you.
Two rooms available in a large, homey sharehouse. PLEASE NOTE - I charge a flat rate which includes Netflix, unlimited internet and utilities for both rooms at $230 and $240 respectively. Any potential pets are welcome but would increase rent by $20pw. The place itself is great. It includes ducted heating, dishwasher, wooden floors, a large backyard which is fully secure and suitable for pets, and directly adjacent to beautiful woodlands in Narrabundah. The toilet is separate to the bathroom. Who we are looking for: Our house is an all-female, LGBT friendly space. I am ideally looking for individuals who are employed full-time and not room hermits. The space is really big and there to be used. That being said as I am out a lot, I am also looking for individuals who are independent and happy to do their own thing. Really a balance between someone who is friendly and happy to chat/have the occasion bevvie, but respectful of personal space. Another key criterion is cleanliness. I like to share the cleaning with my housemates and would ideally be looking to clean shared spaces once a week. I'd like housemates who take the initiative to clean without having to be asked - of course this goes for me as well! Think you'd be a good fit for our home? Shoot me a message! To help me get to know you, please include answers to the following questions: 1 - What do you think makes an ideal housemate? 2 - What do you like to do for fun? 3 - What is your ideal weekend?
