I have a massive smart tv (65cm) with netflix, Stan and access to Apple TV, tube. The unit is a 20 walk to the beach or you can drive easily down to the other beaches. Close to train station 25 - 30 min walk or 5 min drive, southland shopping, gyms and supermarket. I pay $560 per week rent. Im charging less than half the rent and offering the room with ensuite for $250 per week rent plus bills which are $30 internet (unlimited) per month plus water, electrcity and gas. (gas and electricity get billed monthly). Heating is gas ducted heating which is cheaper. There is a portable aircondition and a couple fo fans for the warmer days.
I love this apartment for so many reasons! I moved here 6 months ago so I could be close to the beach, it is close to brand new and is walking distance to the beach as well as lovely cafes etc and the Sandringham train station. It is also a few minutes down the road from Southland shopping centre. I have a large balcony and there is also a communal rooftop bbq deck within the apartment building. The apartment is a secure building that requires an access swiper to get in as well as lift access. The apartment has reverse cycle heating and cooling in the main living area which very quickly spreads to the other rooms (it is supersonic!) The apartment is fully furnished, including glassware, crockery, decor etc. The kitchen is fully equipped with appliances including a dishwasher and coffee machine. In the available rooms, there is a bed, bedside table, shelving and built in robe in the bedroom (there would be room for chest of drawers if you wanted to bring along). In the bathroom you have a large shower, toilet, basin and mirrored cupboard. Note that within the spare bathroom is the laundry "cupboard" where the washer/dryer lives. Rent is $800 per calendar month and bills (water, gas, electricity and internet) are to be split evenly. Bond is also required so that will be an additional $800. The room is not furnished, measures 3680mm x 2960mm and has built in shelving with it's own private access to the outdoor area. The unit itself is spacious with a good sized living/dining room, kitchen, laundry and bathroom. It has ducted heating, an ac unit and is mostly furnished (couch, TV, washing machine). The only thing I don't have yet is a full sized fridge so if by any chance someone has one then you'd make me a pretty happy housemate! The unit is positioned within walking distance to the bus interchange at Westfield Southland, a direct bus to Monash Univeristy (Clayton) and about a 5 minute drive to Highett train station.

I also have an indoor cat. Her name is Barley and she's adorable. Amazing Seaview, awesome sunsets mingled with the sound of crashing waves right from the lounge room even the bedrooms. I only have to cross the road to get to the beach :). Cafe and pizza down stairs and approx. 15 min walk to the Mentone shops and train station. I'm looking for someone who's not housebound, enjoys a life and is clean, tidy, responsible and considerate. Visitors are allowed but not all the time. Should have the courtesy to let the other person know. That goes for both of us. The apartment is open plan but not huge so makes sense. I'm quite social in nature but a big one for my own space. Besides, good to have our own space after a hard days' or weeks' work.
