Hi everyone, My name is Paige (23), From the end of January 2017 I will have 2 rooms available in a private rental (no real estate agent just amazing landlords) in my 3 bedroom house for 12 months. I have lived in Hackett for 3 years and this beautiful light cottage-like house for 2. This is my home and want any future housemates to view it the same. Only 10 minutes drive from the city, 12 minutes (I've timed it) to UC and 13 minutes to ANU. 1 room is a single room for $135 per week. (Can still fit a double or queen bed with a wardrobe or single bed with desk and wardrobe) The second is a double/queen room for $150 per week (double or queen with a wardrobe and desk or dresser) Beautiful cottage like back yard which is mown by gardener's each month. 2 minutes walk from the local IGA, pub and Thai restaurant in a quiet leafy suburb. Solar hot water (so electric bills are pretty damn cheap) Reverse cycle air-conditioning/heating in the living areas. Dishwashe,r fridge and dryer plus basic furnishings included. Plates, cups, cutlery and all the odds and ends covered (just need a TV and washing machine but happy to split the costs for these). Incredibly friendly neighbours. 50M from a large sports oval and only 5 minutes drive to Dickson shops, 5 minute walk to the beautiful Mt Majura nature reserve. Driveway and parking out front easily fitting 1 car per person. Hardwood floors and patio out the back give this house a truly comforting vibe. I am looking for long term housemates to share my amazing home with. I have welcome any gender or sexual orientation, and smoking is permitted outdoors only. I currently have an old, gentle cat, so there is cat fur about, which I will try to keep under control. She is strictly indoors only so there is a closed door rule. (If you don't want the cat in your room, close the door, and be careful coming in and out from outside) I am looking for clean individuals who will pay all rent and bills on time without fail; and I promise you the same in return. Internet is cable to the home (super speedy) at $35 per person and Netflix included. You need to be willing to participate ihousehold chores such as sweeping, emptying dishwasher etc etc and occasionally helping with a bigger clean (helping with the small garden, clean bathroom etc) I am happy with a cleaning roster as that way no one feels they are not doing enough or too much. There is a large lockable shed which you are welcome to use to store whatever you need, or if you have exercise gear you can set it up in there. You must be open minded and non critical of others. Preferrably someone who enjoys a shared dinner or drink and having a chat however I appreciate the introverts among us and quiet types are just as welcome. I myself study full time in the fields of education, literature and sociology. I am not a party hardy kind of girl but I love my wine, going to the pub for pool and a good chat. I work in the renewable energy sector as my primary job and have a passion for art, literature and music. Very open about myself and enjoy the company of others while being tidy, financially organised and love creating weird cocktails just for the fun of it. I will be looking to have inspections in the weeks following Christmas but please let me know if you are interested and we may be able to set something up a little earlier around work etc. Looking forward to hearing from you, if you have any questions just let me know!
Queen sized bedroom available in lovely apartment in Kingston with two female housemates. Room is unfurnished but fits queen bed, side tables and dresser and comes with built in robe. Shared bathroom with one other person and additional spare toilet. Third housemate has her own room and bathroom. Apartment is in great spot opposite Norgrove Park, 1 minute walk to the foreshore, 5 minute walk to Kingston shops and well located for public transport. Ample street parking available. Approx 3 months available on the lease (March 2017), extension probably available if you want. Polished floorboards Dishwasher Gas appliances Bathroom with bath tub Separate toilet Built-in Robes Reverse cycle AC
The room: has a built in wardrobe and is medium to large sized. There is certainly more than enough room to fit a double or queen bed and a dresser/shelves and a desk. The house: a charming, light-filled house in north Ainslie, with wooden floorboards, yellow walls and a dungeon (!) 4 bedrooms, 1 bathroom with separate toilet. It’s a bit of an older style house, but we keep it clean pretty easily and have a cleaning roster. The backyard is huge, with a gate that opens out onto the Ainslie reserve. If you have a car, parking is available on the street. Bus routes are nearby and it’s only a quick cycle to the city (10 minutes). It’s about a three minute walk to our local, Ainslie shops. Financial stuff: rent and bills are split equally between the house members. We pay gas, electricity, water and internet. Bills are generally cheap even with ducted heating. Note: absolutely no pets, couples or children. Room available: ideally early December, but dates flexible. Rent: $125 per week (so cheap!), paid monthly ($500) + bills. We are looking to interview now as we are keen to get someone in ASAP who will be a good fit.
We’re two professional and easy going guys (one mid 20s the other early 30s) looking for someone to move into the third bedroom that has become available. We’re both fairly active (including some early morning wake ups) but also enjoy relaxing, whether that be watching sport or chatting over a drink. The room will be available from Saturday 12 November and you will need to complete a rental application form for the agent and be willing to go on the lease. The apartment is located on Printers Way (directly across from Norgrove Park), ground floor with direct street access and is no more than a few minutes stroll from Kingston Foreshore and no more than 10 minutes up to the Kingston shops. With everything going on down at the Foreshore (and with what’s to come) you’re definitely in an ideal location. The room is sizeable (for Canberra standards) with three built-in robes and you’ll be sharing the main bathroom with one other. The living area is huge with a decent size kitchen (plenty of cupboard space) and a big courtyard with direct street access. There is plenty of street parking for your car as well – no undercover parking is available. The apartment, apart from your bedroom, is already furnished. As for the cost, the room is currently $220 per week ($955.95 per calendar month) and Foxtel/internet is $55 per month. Utilities (gas/power) are averaging around $200 per quarter (combined). Rental bond will be $880.
Hi Guys, A Fantastic room has become available in the heart of the foreshore. We're in a 3 bedroom, 3 storey townhouse a minutes walk from all the action. The Room will be unfurnished but comfortably fits a a queen bed. You'll have floor to ceiling built in mirrored wardrobes and will share the 2nd floor and bathroom with Dan. There's always street parking. Gas and Electricity are split between 3 as is the internet and the cleaner. About us...Dan is new to Canberra working in the public sector, I work in sales - usually 6 days a week and Tristan is also at work 6 days. We do also have a 12 month old Bengal Cat - Oscar. Generally we eat together - either Takeaway or a 2 for 1 deal at the pub. We're no culinary genius' but occasionally have a crack at cooking...It can be a pretty social house but has plenty of room for privacy. The Kitchen, Dining and lounge are ground floor with 2 huge courtyards and a backyard that spills onto a park. It has 2 1/2 bathrooms (1 full, 1 ensuite, and 1 separate toilet). Including a guest bathroom on the ground floor giving plenty of privacy upstairs.
About the room: Sunny and quiet, you can see the backyard through the window. It can come either furnished (minus the mattress), or unfurnished. We have a wrought iron double bed frame, a big wooden chest of drawers, and an antique wooden desk and chair we can offer. About the house: It is a cosy and sunny house, with off-street parking, three bedrooms, a bathroom (both a bath and a shower), separate toilet, reverse cycle air-con, dishwasher, and bathroom heat lamps. There is also a big backyard with lots of fruit trees, a big organic veggie garden, a garage and bike shed, as well as a front garden. About the area: Mount Ainslie is behind our house and you can walk up it via a ridge that also runs along behind the house, with lots of pretty birds and kangaroos. We are in between Dickson and Ainslie shops (a 5 min ride either direction or you can take the bus), and there's a bus that goes to the city/ANU directly opposite our house. Otherwise, the bike path is just a few metres from our house, is a pretty ride through the wetlands and take about 10-15 minutes to get to Civic. The suburb has nice wide streets and is a relaxing haven from the city, while also feeling very close to all the 'action' (:
This little house situated right in the heart of Ainslie is the perfect share house. Multiple bus stops are located within a minutes walk of the house, with Ainslie and Dickson shopping precincts being located a short 7 and 15 minute walk away respectively. The kitchen is modern, having been renovated recently, and the house has both air conditioning and gas heating, and comes fully furnished, with the exception of the two available bedrooms. Unlimited internet and the water bill are both included in the rent, and electricity and gas bills are split evenly three ways.
Hiya, We are two girls aged 26 &30 looking for a flatti to share our house in Ainslie as our current flatti has bought her own place. Its a great modern place in a great location - a couple of hundred metres to Ainslie reserve, a 15 minute walk to Canberra centre, bus stop out front &a 10 min walk to Ainslie shops. Its a 3x2 bedroom spacious townhouse, with double garage, reasonable sized backyard. The room is medium sized, fits a queen bed easily, is unfurnished. We are both active, social people who work in the city. We are out and about often, though also like to have people round for dinner and hang out at home at times. Bell the 3 legged tripod rules the house, she is very friendly, does come inside, & she greatly appreciates our proximity to Mt ainslie reserve! We are looking for a like minded person of similar age to share the house with us, someone happy to socialise at times, contribute to chores and happy to do their own thing too. If you'd like more info or to come and see the place, please send me (Honor) an email or give Becky a call and let us know a bit about yourself. Cheers!
The House: The house is fully furnished and is very modern. It has all the facilities you need: induction cook top, ducted heating, internet connection, dishwasher, washing machine etc. The house also boasts a living room that is separate from the dining room and kitchen. We also have a massive backyard and deck, perfect for summer. Great location. Within walking distance from both Dickson shopping precinct and the Ainslie shops, and a short 5 min drive into the city. The room: The room is very large. Can easily fit a queen bed, bedside tables and a desk. It has a built in wardrobe and plenty of storage space. The large window also makes it a bright and sunny place to be.
My place is in an awesome street in Narrabunda. It is nice and close to everything yet quiet and homely. The place has a massive backyard and plenty of room for parking off the street. Your room is large, with built in hooks for posters and a sunny window overlooking the backyard. There is also a spare room for storage if you need it. I have furnished the house with most of the essentials (Fridge, utensils, table, washing machine etc.) so you just need to bring what you would like for your room. The rent includes internet (1000gb VDSL2) but the rest will be split between yourself and me. (only 2 in the house) As a small bonus, I have my own gym gear in the shed that you would also be welcome to use.
I am seeking a person to share a two bedroom flat. The flat outside the room for rent is furnished, with quality kitchen appliances, washer and dryer and a heating and cooling air-conditioner. The flat also has access to a pool. Located within minutes of the Kingston shops and foreshore in a leafy green suburb. A bus stop is within minutes from the door and service is approximately every 15 minutes weekdays.
Ideal location, great price, and a cosy home. The apartment is a 10 minute walk to Kingston shops, and close to Manuka shops and the Kingston Foreshore area. It is well serviced by public transport. The apartment is a bit old, but will be a cosy home when furnished (I move in with my furniture on 25 November). The available (unfurnished) room will fit a double bed and a desk comfortably. You will have the main bathroom to yourself, but the toilet is shared. (The ensuite does not have its own toilet.) There is loads of on-street parking. The room is available from 3 December. Ideally, I am looking for someone willing to stay until next November (which is when the lease ends), but I am open to shorter stays. Bond is 4 weeks rent ($760). Electricity and internet are split equally.
Its close to the city, has great internet and the dogs are lovely. There is a media center with a large TV, ps4, Mac Mini and access to netflix. There is an extra room in the house which can be used for whatever you need, I have a printer set up in there with plans to make it into a small office/study space.
Great location. 5 minutes walk from the Kingston shops and 10 minutes from Manuka. The flat has a shared kitchen, bathroom and living area. All areas are fully furnished. Bedroom fits a desk and double bed very easily. It has a large cupboard with floor to ceiling mirrors. Off-street but not undercover parking is available and there is also plenty of on-street parking. Rent is $170 pw, electricity and internet bill is split evenly. Water included in the rent.
That Kingston Lifestyle: This apartment is right near the old shops, with excellent access to smashed avocado and a variety of restaurants. It's a quick waddle to the Sunday bus depot markets and Foreshore. Even a short stroll to Manuka. There are even gym options. You'll have an off-street car park! There's already a fridge, telly, washing machine, dishwasher as part of the apartment. Tench Street is walking distance from the Barton area and hence DFAT, AG, DPMC etc. Civic is about a $15 Uber and an hour walk. The apartment is reasonably sized and easy to maintain, and the bedrooms are of a decent size. Room includes wardrobe. The bathroom has a bath. It's a bit of an old school apartment, formerly part of serviced apartments. There's a big tree right near the balcony which is great to look at too while you sip on tea or read a book.
