As long as you don't have a massive bed frame, should be big enough for a queen bed (the air mattress in the photo is a queen) and small bedside.
Beautiful cottage in Kingston - period charm with modern conveniences (gas cooking, central heating + fireplace and north facing sunny deck!). The available bedroom is unfurnished. The rest of the house is comfortably furnished (though we can always find room for your favourite chair or bookcase!). There is a large living room with working fireplace, separate kitchen with dishwasher, modern electric oven with gas stovetop (as well as working Aga - wood fired pizzas are a treat!) and all the important kitchen things (even a spiraliser!). Bonus points if you have a sodastream as we just lost ours with our departing flatmate! There's one bathroom with bath and very good shower head; separate toilet. Also a seperate (and massive) laundry with washer and dryer. Ducted heating is perfect to get through the canberra winter and air conditioning for the summer. Huge backyard is great for lazy garden-parties; there is a deck which turns into a great extra room during summer, fig and apple trees, as well as veggie patches and a garage for any extra storage. The house is a short stroll to Kingston shops (5 minutes from a great IGA, several restaurants and the famed Penny University) and the foreshore (more brunch spots including Local Press and so many restaurants you'll never need to cook). It is directly across the road from large park & oval and within easy walking distance to the parliamentary triangle (less than 20 minutes walk) though there are also easily accessible major bus routes nearby. There's a long driveway and garage for off-street parking and 24h street parking as well. Internet is unlimited and $20 per month; bills are split equally. Although we have a lovely little cat and all love cats ourselves we can't have any more due to cat-socialisation issues so if you have a feline friend this is sadly not the place for you. If you have other pets (rabbits, fish, birds etc) we're open to discussion but any additional animals would have to fit in with the existing feline ruler.

Our home is across the road from Mt Ainslie nature reserve. Short walk to local shops, quick cycle or reasonable walk to the city and close access to buses. The room has lovely big windows and built-in wardrobe space, and is connected to the central heating (which we use thoughtfully :). The room has a comfy double bed in it but can moved if need be. It is best inhabited by someone who is a solid sleeper as sound-proofing in the room isn't great. Current housemates are Noemi and Valeria from Mexico, and Amie and Kylie from Aust. The house is large and more than comfortably accommodates all of us. It looks out onto one of the apartment's two large balconies. The apartment has one main bathroom/laundry and and an ensuite attached to the main (my) bedroom. The kitchen is large and has lots of storage. There are separate living and dining areas and the bedrooms do not share a wall. I am currently negotiating with the owner to have reverse cycle air conditioning installed in both bedrooms, and there are wall heaters in the shared areas. The apartment is pretty well furnished with my stuff but I'm happy to move things around if you have extra furniture. The internet costs $80 a month, and I have a Netflix subscription on my smart TV that you are welcome to use. There is on street parking available. The location is amazing - it's a 5 minute walk to Kingston shops, 10 minutes to Manuka shops or the Kingston foreshore, and 25 minutes to the Parliamentary triangle. The apartment also comes with a friendly cat, Giles! He is an indoor cat and so will be around all the time - it's probably best if you're not allergic to cats. He is very inquisitive and will want to know all about you, so it's probably best if you like cats too :)
We’re looking for a new housemate to share our lovely place in Hackett. The house is an ‘original’ 60s job but in good condition and very comfortable. We like to keep the house very clean and tidy. It’s three bedrooms, one bathroom with separate toilet, kitchen, laundry, a shared living area, and a big backyard.The main areas of the house are furnished already. It’s an easy walk/ bike ride to Dickson shops and a 15-20 minute bike ride to Civic or ANU. Most of the bus routes leave from near Dickson shops, but there is also a bus which runs between Hackett shops and Civic. The room is available from the 1st of June (flexible with move in date). It is a decent size (big enough to fit a queen-size bed, shelves and a desk) with good natural lighting and a built-in wardrobe. The rent is $170 per week not including bills. We’ll need a bond of $680 when you move in. Utilities bills and internet are split evenly among the housemates. The internet is $30 per housemate/ per month. No pets are allowed and smoking is not allowed in the house.
