The apartment is located on the top floor, and has a balcony. As we have been living here for a while, the common areas are furnished. All amenities are set up - unlimited fast internet, electricity, gas, etc. The bathroom was refurnished right before we got here. Entire block is relatively quiet, very ambient. The neighbours are quite nice, only interacted with them on a few occasions, but have been very positive. The main great thing would be that it's exceptionally convenient, and located 2 minutes (walk) away from Kingston. Rough distances: 1 minute drive/8 minute walk from closest gym (Club Lime), 1 minute drive/8 minute walk from Manuka and Kingston Foreshore, 8 minute drive into Civic/City/Braddon, 10 minute drive to Canberra Airport, 10 minute drive to Woden.

This townhouse is amazingly located – within walking distance of the old Kingston shops, the lake, Brodburger and the old bus depot markets (in fact you can pretty much see all those things from the driveway). It has 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a large living area, and a pretty large modern kitchen. It also has a great courtyard – perfect for brunch in the sunshine, or dinner parties in summer. The house has central heating, air-con in the living rooms, and ceiling fans in all of the bedrooms. The house has pretty much everything necessary in it already, although more is welcome! The bedroom is unfurnished and will share a large bathroom (complete with a spa (!)). It comfortably fits a queen bed and has a built-in cupboard, plus more storage in the hall. There is also storage space in the garage. The place has secure parking. This room is $240. The other housemate and I pay $225 and $285 respectively. The move date is also flexible; if you're keen to move earlier that can be accommodated. Equally, we recognise this is an awkward time to move so if you can't move until early Jan or so let us know and we can chat about dates etc. The lease period ends at the end of February, at which time Stephen and I will probably both be moving out, however we expect the lease to be renewed so this could be a good way for you to get your foot in the door of the canberra rental market!
