I have a room available in a lovely apartment in Kingston from early July. The apartment is a very short walk to the Kingston shops and is just down the road from Manuka, the Lake and the Kingston Foreshore. Short walk or bike ride to Barton. There is a pool, gym and tennis court for your use in the complex. The available bedroom has exclusive use of the main bathroom and opens onto a balcony overlooking leafy and quiet Kennedy Street. There is a built in wardrobe and the room would easily fit a queen size bed. You don’t have a car park but there are always plenty of free under cover visitor’s spaces so you will rarely need to park outdoors. There is also bike parking available in the underground car park. The apartment is large. It has a fully equipped kitchen with a dishwasher, a large living and dining area, reverse cycle heating/air conditioning, and 2 balconies (complete with a herb garden). The balcony off the living area overlooks the tennis court and catches the morning sun so is a lovely spot to eat breakfast or read a book. The apartment is fully furnished but for your room (there is the option of purchasing bedroom furniture cheaply off the departing tenant if you require it). Bedrooms also both have built in wardrobes. Bills and internet (unlimited) are split evenly. Cooking is done separately and cleaning/household chores are shared evenly and proactively. Our place is very close to the Kingston shops and within easy walking distance of the Parliamentary Triangle for those who work in that area. The apartment itself has a large communal living space and there’s also a lovely little outdoor area that gets late morning sun (a BBQ would be a great addition for summer nights!). The house is generally quite a tidy place and it’s very quiet in the area at night time. A note on parking: there is no car park with the room. Although there is limited visitor parking and on-street parking, restrictions apply during the day. The room would be best-suited to someone without a car, or someone who drives to work every day and won’t need to leave their car at home during the day Monday to Friday. Unfortunately the room is not suitable for couples.
