The spare room is unfurnished but can be if you need. I've included netflix and MSN broadband WIFI and bills into the rent. There's a barbie and a bit of a gym here to. We are a 500 metre walk form Parkdale station and shops, 45min train ride to the city from your beach side home also bus stop across the road but plenty of parking as already mentioned. Mentone is a bayside suburb and my property is a 10 minute walk to where you will have the ocean lapping at your feet. My apartment is located 5 minutes from the train station and 20 minutes on the train will take you into the city. Mentone's main shopping district consists of trendy cafes, restaurants and 2 main supermarkets and is only a 5 minute walk from where I reside.
