Looking for a housemate to share a 3-bedroom 2-bathroom, fully furnished house. You will have the main bathroom to yourself (see pictures). You can pick either of the two spare rooms (BED2 or BED3, see pictures). The spare rooms have built-in wardrobes but are not furnished. 1200 metres to BLUE Rapid [R4] bus service 400 metres to shores of Lake Tuggeranong. 3 minutes drive to Tuggeranong and Erindale shopping centres 8 minutes drive to Woden town centre and Canberra Hospital. $220 per week include all bills and unlimited NBN internet.
Our sun filled, friendly sharehouseis looking for a third person to join our home. Each bedroom has its own external access toa sunny courtyard out the back, with an additional outdoor eating area out the front. The floor to ceiling windows catch the afternoon sun, perfect for winter as the room warms up while you are at work and stays warm once the curtains are closed. If you work in Tuggeranong, it's possible to live comfortably without a car and to cycle to work and shops. The nearest coffee is 10 minutes walk away, shops are 10 minutes by bicycle. There is a courtyard front and back so plenty of space to yourself, as well as lovely shared areas to relax in. Freshly painted throughout, carpet free so low maintenance and great for dust allergies. The house is fully furnished, except for the bedroom. We have washing machine, fridge, electric oven/grill and stove top, we also have a dishwasher which saves time on chores! We have an open plan kitchen, all utensils and crockery provided, and a gas bbq out the back. This may suit someone moving to Canberra and not wanting to immediately invest in setting up an entire house! There is no tv, by choice, we set up the home for conversation rather than screen time. This doesn’t stop us setting up a lap top for the odd movie or episode of FRIENDS! Our home is relaxed and friendly. We value good relationships, and respect each other’s time and space. Cleanliness is a priority, it is expected that the common areas are left clean, neat and tidy. We take it in turns to do all household cleaning chores once every three weeks. Our home currently features two furry friends, Pumba and Pumpkin. Additional pet would be considered depending on size, behaviour, and the social dynamics between them. We work different shifts, I’m full time public service (former grad and never left canberra!) and Amy is a journalist so there can be days with everyone home and days with no one. My partner pat spends some weekends in canberra. We manage to have a few housemate dinners, but generally for meals do our own thing. Often we will share a glass of wine while preparing meals.

Lovely spacious balcony to sit out in spring and summer and to dry clothes. Electricity and water bills to be split between the 2 occupants on a quarterly basis. Vegetarian/Vegan house The apartment has two decent sized rooms. Master bedroom has ensuite which is taken by me. The other room comes with a separate spacious bathroom too. The apartment is not like one of those cramped apartments. It has room to move. It is on 2nd floor but no lift, only stairs. You will have access to a covered and secured car park. The living area is decent size with electric cooking. There is a balcony attached with living area and a separate store room is also available. The apartment is close to community swimming pool and gyms and shopping places (Hyperdome) and restaurants are not too far either. All within 5-10 minutes of walk. The whole apartment including your room is fully furnished. The rent is inclusive of all bills (capped to an amount) and includes use of the furniture/equipments provided in the bedroom and the common areas e.g. living/kitchen/dining/laundry etc. Photos taken by me to show the furnishings do not do justice to the house. House has a very friendly sheepdog as an extra housemate, however the landlord has said no other animals are to be kept at the property.
