It's a beautiful sanctuary, in the village-like suburb of Sandgate. Soak up the sea breeze from the hammock in the Poinciana tree. Two rooms available. Two weeks rent deposit. Rooms both have fans, one has air-con (use sparingly or negotiate extra). The other has french doors and a huge wardrobe. The bus stops directly outside the house, we are a short walk to the waterfront, swimming pools, parks, coffee shops, etc. Bus or walk to Sandgate train station and shops. Rooms are currently furnished though can be emptied for your stuff. We enjoy games nights and outdoor entertaining, music and adventures. We're omnivores and do our best to live a green lifestyle. Ideally you are willing to take part and help with the upkeep of the house. There's plenty more garden space to grow food, two mango trees and some herbs.

I am a 33 year old female who works a few jobs (mostly hospitality and factory work). In my spare time I play volleyball, hang out with mates, and relax at home. I have an adorable cat so pet-lovers are preferred. The other housemate is a 35 year old female who works a full time job in a call centre plus some hospitality work on the side. The house is a large 3 bedroom lowset house in the College Green Estate in Boondall, which is between Nudgee College and the Brisbane Entertainment Centre. This is close to Sandgate Road, the Gateway Motorway and Boondall Train Station. Despite being close to major roads and trains, the area is really quiet. There is a large open plan lounge, kitchen with heaps of bench space and a large deck. The room has a queen bed, bedside table, small bookshelf and fan. The rest of the house is fully furnished. There is ample street parking available. Rent is $165/week for the room, with a bond of $660. Rent includes gas, electricity, internet, and basic supplies such as washing up liquid, washing powder, basic cleaning products, cling wrap, etc. I like a fairly quiet home and will occasionally entertain on the back deck. I would prefer a friendly, social flatmate who is open to getting a meal and watching a movie if we are all around, etc and occasionally going out and about together. I am not looking for a clean freak, but someone who has the initiative to regularly contribute to keeping the communal areas clean and tidy is ideal. Would prefer minimum 6 month stay however this is negotiable. The house is a 3 bedroom cottage in Brighton. Close to the water and public transport (bus stop less than 100 metres from the front door). Also close to shops, Sandgate Village and Sandgate train station. There are ceiling fans throughout the house. Kitchen and bathroom are neat and tidy with gas stove top and gas oven. There is also a decent sized front verandah and a small yard. Neighbours are quiet and friendly. Location is reasonably quiet in regards to traffic and particularly quiet at night after 7pm. I have unlimited cable internet and it would only cost about 30 bucks per month if you want to share it. You have to pay your share of the utility bills but water is free (as is the case in any other share accommodation). $115 per week plus seperately in addition you pay 2 weeks rent up front which is for your final 2 weeks. In other words you pay me $230 and when you leave your final 2 weeks you don't pay rent.
