Apologies if you messaged us while we were away on holidays! A beautiful and spacious property located in a quiet street, just off Glynburn Road. At the other end of the street is Waterfall Gully road so its really close to Mt lofty and heaps of other walking trails. Public transport is a two minute walk from the front door (buses go direct into the city every hour). The location has the Feathers local shopping options in a short walking distance, Burnside Village a 5 minute drive and the city a 10 minute drive straight down Greenhill Road. Couples are welcome! At a price of $180 per room, we would need to negotiate a rate as I would prefer to keep the other room empty if this is the case. Pets are negotiable - please let me know when calling or emailing as larger pets are probably not suitable but it would really depend on individual circumstance. The rooms are approximately 4 x 4m each and have built in robes. If you need the rooms furnished this can also be arranged, but they are currently empty. Both rooms have air-conditioning. A large newly built house in the Adelaide hills, just 1 mins walk to the train which takes you straight into the city. Our street and neighborhood are beautiful and quiet, yet it's only 8km to the city line of site, or 11km by road. There's koalas, kookaburras, and heaps of wildlife in our back yard. For even more, the Belair National Park is just 800m away. Europeans accustomed to lots of smaller cities spaced closely together might feel 8 -11km from the CBD is a long way, but in a country with its 5 capital cities 700-2500 km apart, Blackwood is genuinely very close to the Adelaide city center. The largest shopping center in South Australia is even closer at 7km away, with 3 of the 4 big grocery brands all in the main street of Blackwood. The community feel here is great and our area is very safe. Our neighbors even orgainsed a street party to welcome us to the street when we first built the house! For students, Flinders Uni is close by (public transport is a short 2 step trip), although with a direct train into the city, Adelaide Uni and Uni SA are a little further away, but technically a bit easier. The house has a wood fire for winter, but also a ducted reverse cycle air-conditioner, state of the art Clipsal C-Bus lighting system, the fastest unlimited 100Mb/s broadband connection available here, Netflix, Google Play Music, BBQ, and more. We're still finishing the last few things inside the house (2nd version of the kitchen is still to come), but are mostly working on the gardens and outside of the house at the moment.
