This unit is situated in a commercial complex. It is quite spacious, It is secure and relatively quiet during the day and at night It most suits a quiet single person living in Nambour. There is limited parking during the day but one carpark is available in the evening and sometimes over the weekend. Parking is mainly for the commercial businesses. No pets, no smoking.

Every room has a tree view. We are situated high on a hill no rear or front neigbours. Rooms are large with tv sitting area and double bed. Room mates are quiet, christian, kind and considerate. There is a large outside balcony. We are close to town but feels like we are not. Great neigbours..

Seven stand-alone cabins are planned, with five cabins now completed. The two designs, of either 36sqm internal or 25sqm internal + 18sqm patio, offer residents a living, ensuite and bedroom of personal, private space, while the Living Pavilion is where folk come together for meals, company and good cheer. The property has ‘off the grid’ power, offering 240 volt supply, has its own waste-water treatment plant, excellent deep spring and rain water availability, raised veggie gardens already in production, over 70 fruit trees of 23 different verities, chooks that are well housed at night and free range during the day. I am hopeful of attracting single, active, retired, baby boomer folk to join me on the farm so that we might become as self-sufficient as possible. There are six positions or chosen jobs, each require only a few hours a day, for production of the farm’s daily food needs. Of the six positions four are taken, they are: A handyman. A chef/cook to run the kitchen and do the communal shopping. Residents take it in turn to cook the evening meal. This position has been taken by Jan. Opportunities still available are: A gardener to oversee the veggie gardens and fruit trees. A chef/cook to run the pantry. To sun dry, preserve, smoke and dehydrate the farm’s oversupply for later consumption. Chores are very flexible and we help each other to achieve our common goal of aiming for self sufficiency. A cabin’s weekly rental is based upon the final cost of providing a cabin to the resident’s requested fit-out and furniture requirements. That charge includes power, water and all the food produced on the farm and can range from $125 to $175 per week. There is also a weekly contribution towards food and supplies purchased off site.
