Oaks Estate is a beautiful semi rural suburb on the outskirts of Canberra and Queanbeyan. We are on the edge of the Molongalo and Queanbeyan rivers, close to shops and pubs and an easy drive to Canberra. The house is a lovely, light filled, airy, spacious, 1960's Canberra double brick style. It is a fully furnished family home with a huge back yard with lots of large trees and veggie patch. The house works well and is very comfortable. It has a modern feel as well as many reto features including the original bathroom with it's lovely big bath. Although there is only one bathroom there are two toilets. The neighbourhood is quiet and safe and very friendly and the street is lovely with a small park, large gum trees and a great walk around the river. There is plenty of storage space for extra furniture if you want to bring some of your own and rearrange things. I have two rooms available, the larger is $240 and the smaller is $210, both are fully inclusive of bills.
We are currently looking for a new housemate to move into our spacious three bedroom house in Queanbeyan. Nathan and I are 23 years old and went to school together, now working full time jobs; I studied a design degree at ANU and now work for a Canberra design company. Nathan works as a public servant in the Department of Finance. We are both super laid back people that enjoy hanging out and having a laugh but also binge watching netflix and going out for beers. We are both active people and play social sports every week. Our house is at the end of a quiet cul de sac street ,it’s a 15 minute drive to civic and less then 10 minutes from the airport. The room available is spacious with lots of natural light and a built in wardrobe. There is parking available behind the house or on the street. Rent is $180 + Bills. We have NBN, heating/cooling and gas cooking!

I'm looking for someone who is relaxed, friendly and sociable who values respectfulness, honesty and is mature and tidy. Do you like to have a laugh and watch Netflix? features: New stainless steel appliances Granite benchtops 4-gas burner cook top Bamboo floorboards Carpet in bedrooms Large new fridge LED lighting throughout Intercom, TV & internet
A quiet street, only a few minutes to the centre of Queanbeyan and Fyshwick. King size room with built-in wardrobe. Backyard with undercover deck, plus an internal storage room/guest room and external storage area connected to the garage and carport. Foxtel connections are available but not currently connected. Hi, I have a fully furnished room (QS bed; cupboard) for one person that is AVAILABLE from LATE FEB/EARLY MARCH. The maximum people in the house will be two i.e. me and you - there are only two bedrooms. No couples please as it is too 'squeezy'. I do not want more furniture brought into the house - the house is fully furnished and well equipped. Because of this I am happy to have short-term shares i.e. you might be looking for somewhere more suitable that will take your furniture but you need to move out of where you are staying. For less than 4 weeks add another $10 a week to the weekly rent. More than 4 weeks we then work out the shared gas, electricity and water bills. The house is a RENOVATED WEATHERBOARD close to Queanbeyan CBD. There is a lovely garden and back deck. Gas heating and cooking and solar hot water (with a manual electric booster) and NBN limited wireless and 4G. There is off-street parking for two smaller cars and on-street parking is time unlimited. There is public transport a short walk to town (less than 10 minutes) and Queanbeyan railway station is a 15 minute (or 25 minutes with a heavy backpack!) walk. And if you work in Canberra city, there is a park-and-ride just across the border in Fyshwick. Or if you are into cycling there is bicycle path into Canberra that swings past the park-and-ride. You've got to be willing to do your bit in the garden - THIS IS ESSENTIAL! OR you will need to pay to have someone do your bit. Garden tasks are mostly sweeping the paths, deck, driveway and raking eucalyptus bark and leaves (once a week) and occasional mowing and cutting back hideously invasive ivy. Between two it is less than onerous. You must be a clean and tidy person to live with and actually know how to clean (you'd be suprised...!). I prefer a vegetarian household - i.e. I do not eat meat, fish or poultry - but if you do eat meat then you are welcome to cook meat on the gas bbq that is undercover just outside the kitchen door. No animals/pets sorry even though I occasionally have my kelpie come and stay. So you will have to like dogs. She is quiet and well trained. Please do not hesitate to give me a hoy if you are in any way interested. Any references would be helpful. And I really do not care whether you are a 'professional' or not - used alone, I find the term pretentious :-) I am much happier knowing about your interests :-) rather than how you earn a living (and yes, I know they could be one and the same...). I play indoor soccer, run and cycle (as a transport option rather than for fun) and like to keep fit. If you want to know more about why I have a pic of a juvenile Thorny Devil on my middle finger then see my research topic at my uni open access web link at the Fenner School of Environment and Society by doing a Google search. Cheers, Juliana

Hello! We are on the lookout for a new housemate as our current has sadly moved to Melbourne! The room is currently available, we're looking for someone to move in ASAP however it is important for us to find someone who we find suits us and our place, too :) Ideally we’d like someone who is in their 20s, is clean, likes to chat/ hang out now and then and good with animals. Also interested in having a female housemate only. We’re all usually pretty quiet, keep to ourselves and have had students, international students and shift workers live with us in the past. Bond $330 on move in date Rent $670/ month, paid one month in advance (amount shown in description is an estimate only) Water $29/ month NBN Internet $33/ month Gas & electricity are billed every quarter (3 months)
The place is newly renovated with roomy living areas, a new kitchen, a shared bathroom and ample heating/cooling. There’s even a two room bungalow out back for guests, yoga sessions and Game of Thrones nights. It comes equipped with a fridge, a wine fridge(!), TVs throughout, washer, dryer and a dish washer. We’re currently in the process of furnishing the place so having furniture is a bonus! We’re a two minute drive (10 min walk) to Dickson shop/pool/China Town, an easy ride into the city/Braddon with access to bike paths and there’s plenty of ‘off-street parking’ available. The room is available from Feb 1 for $165/wk. It has a small cupboard with built in shelves, a ceiling fan, a small TV and a huge window onto the back garden. Ideally you’d be on the lease til Jan ‘19. All bills will be split four ways.
