Cosy two story townhouse that still provides enough space for individual activities. Small private courtyard with enough room for dinner and drinks with roommates and friends. Plenty of NBN internet to go around plus drinks and foosball is always an acceptable way to spend the evening. Though the bathroom is shared, it is spacious and has a bath, perfect for winding down after a long week.

Hi, I have a fully furnished room (QS bed; cupboard) that will be AVAILABLE FROM 6 April 2017. My housemate has bought a flat! I am away often for extended periods (I am a full-time research student) so YOU WILL HAVE THE PLACE MOSTLY TO YOURSELF. My house is a RENOVATED WEATHERBOARD close to Queanbeyan CBD. There is a lovely garden and back deck. Gas heating and cooking and solar hot water (with a manual electric booster) and NBN wireless. There is off-street parking for one car and on-street parking is time unlimited. There is public transport a short walk to town and Queanbeyan railway station is a little further of a walk but easily doable. And if you work in Canberra city, there is a park-and-ride just across the border in Fyshwick. Or if you are into cycling there is bicycle path into Canberra that swings past the park-and-ride. Because I am away a lot, I am looking for someone who is willing to do the garden while I am not there - THIS IS ESSENTIAL! OR you will need to pay to have someone do it. You must be a clean and tidy person to live with. I prefer a vegetarian household - i.e. I do not eat meat, fish or poultry - but if you do eat meat then you are welcome to cook meat on the gas bbq that is undercover just outside the kitchen door. I do not want more furniture brought into the house - the house is fully furnished and well equipped. Bills would be shared with my share being based on a pro-rata basis for when I am there - but I will be away a lot. No animals/pets sorry even though I occasionally have my kelpie come and stay. Please do not hesitate to give me a hoy on if you are in any way interested. Any references would be helpful.
This is the cutest historic cottage you can imagine. All the bedrooms are enormous, and there is fantastic wardrobe space. It has two bedrooms in the older part of the house at the front, two upstairs, and one downstairs with a massive double bedroom-sized study adjoining. The kitchen has to be seen to be believed - cute art-deco style tiles and a huge double oven and fantastic storage. There are two living spaces, a dining room and a deck at the side. The top rooms have a lovely outlook over the Molonglo valley. And unlike so much of Canberra, there's even access to NBN. This house would make a fantastic house for a family, a group of quiet students or professionals wanting something different from the standard Canberra brick veneer. There is a QCity Transit bus that goes from a stop 4 minutes walk from the front door all the way to the ANU stop, via Fyshwick, Kingston, Barton and the CIT. Anyone craving a bit of the sort of character you just don't get in Canberra will love this place.
