We are pretty chilled and have space for and understanding of the need for privacy and are happy to socialise at times as well. Cons/ Why so cheap? No AC - We have fans tho!!! Only a prob if everything is closed up or no breeze . Very rare being eastward facing but on odd occasion it can be a bit warm (just add fans). Happy days!!! Great location but yes its a busy street - not a problem in your room though as it's at the back (quietest and darkest room). Lastly, it's just me and my nearly 8 yr old daughter. Can I just say having a kiddo around is actually rad - she's super funny and chilled and not an annoying brat (no that's come from others too and not just her mum... lol). We have games nights and watch Disney movies often... yes it's as awesome as it sounds!! XD She also goes to her Dad's like 39% of the time so do get to enjoy big kid movies and a cider ever now and then... Also, not opposed to getting the BBQ and blow up pool out! :D Can provide meals at extra cost, otherwise ample space for your stuff in kitchen and bathroom (not that you'd cook in the bathroom)... This house is very big and spacious - very modern. 3 levels with the garage level being the entry point. Up stairs to the open living and kitchen area. Your room is on the same floor including your own bathroom. Along with the laundry and spare room. Up the next flight of stairs is where the master bedroom, and the 2 other bedrooms are. It almost always feels like you have the house to yourself as everyone has different schedules. Greenslopes mall is literally across the road which features Coles, a chemist, BWS bottle shop, fruit shop, nail salon, newsagents, etc. Very convenient! IGA is only a 10 minute walk down the road which is open until midnight every day including public holidays - absolute life saver! 10 - 15 minutes on the bus to the city. You can catch the 174 and 175 but I recommend the 180 for an express ride to the city. You will be sharing a fridge with Rachael and another new housemate who will be moving in around the same time. You will get the top shelf of the pantry. Everyone takes turns cleaning weekly. Not a party house, but occasionally there are friends hanging around, social drinks and the annual Halloween party. Your room is a very decent size! Not huge, not small but just right. Built in wardrobe. Beautiful breeze! It currently comfortably fits a queensize bed, desk with computer, 2 bookshelves + other other shelving, chest of drawers and bed side tables and a digital piano. Your room leads out to the small back balcony which is great to chill out on. You have your own wonderful bathroom to yourself. The usual toilet, sink and shower. It will be cleaned and bleached out back to front right before you move in and your room will of course be professionally carpet cleaned. Free internet for the first month as a welcoming gesture! Air-con throughout the whole house! You'll also have a garage for some storage space if you need. I'm moving back in with my family as I will be travelling later in the year and will be needing to save money to do so! Can't beat those family rates! ;) There's been a lot of fun and laughing throughout my stay and I'm expecting the same for you too. It's a shame to be leaving such a beautiful house in such a great location! Rent is $155 a week, but we pay fortnightly, so $310 a fortnight. Bond is $690. Internet is $16.40 a month.
