The Room: 1 small room, fully furnished and ready to go:) Room comes with the following: Queen bed Desk with chair Wardrobes Pillow and bed linen The House: This house is pretty dam big in size. Has got new paint throughout the house and feels pretty fresh in general. Its all on the top level with downstairs being used as a storage area by myself. There is 1 bathroom but 2 toilets which is handy. Plenty of cupboard and fridge space in the kitchen as well. Rather then a yard there is basically a big concrete car park space. Heaps of space for parking or even working on cars. Lastly the house is all furnished and has all the kitchen equipment, fridge space etc to make setting up after moving in easy. Parking: Heaps of off street parking as mentioned above Location: The house is located on Railway St, Woolloongabba – feel free to do some googling to see if this location works for you. 10 min walk away from the glider bus station, lots of ‘normal’ bus stations close by and the Buranda train station is close by as well. Rent, Bond and Bills: ALL BILLS INC IN RENT! This includes power, gas, water and unlimited internet. Bond is 4 x rent. If you can’t come up with the 4 weeks bond straight away I miiiiight be able to accept 2 weeks to start with however I will make that call once I meet you. Other things you should know ☺ No pets sorry No strict house rules… just the obvious stuff like clean up after yourself, be respectful to others, and do your fair share of house work. We get a cleaner in around every month to give the house a good once over and as mentioned above we also get the lawns mowed which is all included in the rent. Who we are looking for… Keen on getting someone in who can pay rent on time (obviously) and knows how to clean up after themselves. TWO LARGE COMBINED ROOMS WITH OWN ENTRANCE and great location on quiet street close to everything. We've got a big old hilltop queenslander with heaps of space for everyone and great common areas. YOUR ROOMS (last two photos): -You get TWO rooms, and both are large. One is the front sunroom (7.3m x 2.3m) which often gets a good breeze, and the other is a large adjoining room (4m x 4m) with high ceilings. Nice setup. -Decent view out the front, looking out to Stone's Corner and mountains out back -Own entrance. You get the original front door (we'll be using the side entrance as the main entrance when you move in) -Pretty quiet part of the house. Minus the bathroom, the room is tucked away from all the activity parts of the house (including bedrooms) and you front a quiet street. -You've also got space to park your car out the back of the house. -Mostly unfurnished, with the exception of a wardrobe you're welcome to should you want it included. COMMON AREAS: -Nice chillout room with pool/ping pong table, nice fairy lights, tv/lounge area, and decent views out the back -Extra living room we don't seem to know what to do with -Kitchen all decked out with everything except your tupperware -Normal bathroom decently sized, plus a second toilet downstairs -Loads of storage space underneath the house -Large backyard THE LOCATION -Cul-de-sac street is quiet most of the time -GREAT PUBLIC TRANSPORT with Buranda Train and bus stations at the end of the street. Super good station with heaps of services taking you places fast (e.g. UQ and Southbank stations about 10 minutes from house incl. walking) -Very short drives to all the great things you expect in a city (bars, grocery stores, gyms, pizza, etc) with Stones Corner and other centres nearby. HOUSEMATES -Myself and Tristan are a couple of pretty laidback guys. Both working full time with Tristan also studying full time online. We love to keep the house pretty social and enjoy spending time with each other, but always respect each other's personal space and have our own things going on. TERMS All bills included in rent, which obviously includes internet. We have a rotating cleaning roster which you'd be a part of. We also split costs of common area necessities such as dishwashing soap, toilet paper, etc. 3 weeks bond required, four weeks notice prior to moving out. Bills are split evenly between all housemates (internet, gas, electricity). The room on offer is big and has lovely windows along both main walls. The house is so conveniently located. It takes me under 10 minutes to ride or scooter into the city, and it's just as quick to University of Queensland, or even quicker to Queensland University of Technology. Note: there is no dryer at the house, just a clothes line. But happy to consider one if the new housemate has one. The furniture set up is now different to in the photos.
