I am a postgraduate student who is studying in ANU and would like to find a place which is near ANU. My friend, anlin, is also a postgraduate ANU student. We're easy going, friendly and tidy, who have a habit of cleaning regularly. We respect privacy and space. As we are currently not in Australia, it's not convenient for us to receive a phone call, pls send the message via SMS and sorry for the inconvenience that cause you.
Just moved to Canberra from Melbourne for a graduate position with the APS. Currently looking for a place to call home for at least 12 months preferably inner city as I don't have a car. Looking especially in the Kingston/Manuka and Braddon areas. I love hiking, cycling, skiing, travelling and cooking. I'm tidy and friendly. Always up for a chat but respect people's privacy and need for alone time after a long day!
Recent graduate from Queensland working full-time in Barton. Super easygoing, neat and sociable. Basically just looking for somewhere reasonably close to work and that can meet my basic human needs.
Hi there, I'm Jay and recently moved to Canberra from Sydney to start up a grad position with the APS. Generally pretty relaxed and love doing outdoor activities particularly hiking, snowboarding and swimming, but also down for more chilled out things like playing video games, board games, having a drink etc. I also like to keep my place clean and tidy (Don't know why but I particularly love vacumming). Ideally looking for a private room in somewhat close proximity to Civic and/or Brindabella.
I'm pretty relaxed person. I enjoy playing basketball, going to the gym and dancing Cuban salsa. I love learning languages and speak French and Spanish fluently. I worked as a lawyer in Melbourne and have just moved to Canberra for a job in government. I'm flexible around lease length and move-in dates.
G’day my name’s Josh and I am relocating from Far North Queensland to Canberra for work. I really know nothing about Canberra so I’m looking for some mates who are just as keen to explore the ACT as I am! I lead a pretty fast-paced lifestyle and therefore don’t spend a hell of a lot of time at home. I enjoy my beer and wine equally as much, drink long blacks and don’t pretend to be a coffee connessiuer. If you’re looking for a laidback, respectable housemate who enjoys a laugh, reach out!
Hey! We're a couple moving down to Canberra in Jan/Feb 2019 for work/study. Elena is starting her PhD at ANU, and Oskar is starting work at the ATO. We're both very flexible people - we appreciate the need for private bedroom space, but will happily chill in the living space with other housemates after work and on weekends. Around the house we're both very low maintenance, the sort of people who'll make the effort to wash up the dishes in the evening so we don't have to deal with it in the morning. In her spare time, Elena loves reading, drinking tea, and playing hockey. Oskar plays a lot of ultimate frisbee, listens to music, and enjoys being out-and-about. We're both casual trumpet players, though we only practice once or twice a week so don't worry about the noise! We're looking for 1-3 people to share a house with somewhere within 7km or so (cycling distance) of ANU. We don't have any strong preferences in housemates, as long as they're roughly 18-30yrs old, don't smoke inside the house, and are socially accepting people. We hope to hear from you soon :)
Originally from Sydney, I'm moving to Canberra to work full-time as an APS grad in early February. I love sewing, reading, going to the beach and playing outdoor soccer. I'm also looking forward to doing some of the hikes around Canberra. I'm looking for a room in a place where I can make friends and have fun with my room mates, but also have a place to relax. Ideally I'd like to live with others who work full time. I have a boyfriend who works out of town but would come and visit once a month. One potentially very positive attribute of mine as a housemate is a tendency to clean when stressed! Also, my move in date is flexible up until the the last week of February.
I'll graduate soon - me 2 years ago. I'm a 5th year ANU student who hopefully will graduate really soon. I work full time as a teacher and software engineer at a small startup in civic. I'm big on running, mountain biking and reading books. Looking for a place closeish to work occupied by people who are keen to hang out occasionally (group din dins would be awesome).
Hi all! I'm relocating from Brisbane to Canberra for a full-time role with the APS in early February. Bit about myself I am originally from a place called Yeppoon in FNQ and have been living in Brisbane for the last 5 years for university. I am very social and enjoy travelling, watching the latest reality TV and exploring on weekends. I am super neat, respect people's privacy and pay all my bills in advance and am looking for similar housemates. I can bring to the house a TV, couch, queen sized bed and a bar fridge but am happy to sell everything should there not be room. I have a car so will need parking. Hit me up if you have anything going :)
I'm a Geoscientist and Science Communicator. I love anything outdoors, especially SCUBA diving, cycling, snowboarding and hiking. Originally from Melbourne, but have moved around a fair bit through Australia and Asia for work. I'm tidy, open-minded and fun individual who's always up for an adventure, chat and/or a beer.
I'm a 30 y/o Chemical Engineer. I’m originally from WA and have been living in Canberra since Feb 2017. I'm friendly, reliable, and tidy. I work full time as a Public Servant and am also completing my Masters so am usually quite busy during the week. I'm fairly easy going, happy to chat or to do my own thing.
I am a very friendly, tidy, mindful, quiet, autonomous and reliable person with a high level of respect for other people's property, so I would definitely take good care of your flat/room. I love getting to know others and having a nice conversation from time to time about all sorts of topics (culture, humanities, music and art, sciences, etc or simply exchanging experiences or cooking recipes... :-)), but I also respect other people's private sphere. Having grown up in a German farming family with several siblings, grand-parents, lots of aunts, uncles, cousins and so on, I love being sociable and helpful. Also, I am nature- and animal-loving and used to being as practical as possible. As I have studied law at uni on a higher degree level, I am always eager to learn new things. I've worked and lived abroad for quite some time and therefore am very open-minded and respectful. I have been sharing flats for the last ten years. At school, I was a boarder, so I know how to adapt quickly to new social surroundings. It is possible that I will work rather much as this is quite normal in the legal profession - though I do not yet know how things will turn out in the end. In my spare time, I would love getting to know as much as possible of Canberra and Australia in general! I am super curious and I am looking forward very much to my stay in this beautiful city and to getting to know you! :-) As I will stay in Canberra only from 2nd January - 18th March 2018, I am looking for a short term rent in a furnished room. I am 29 years old and I will work in Canberra as part of my legal clerkship in Germany.
Hi y'all, I'm an archivist working for government and I like live music, running and dark beers in winter. Might be looking for Canberra temporary share accommodation from early-mid March to end of June, not confirmed yet. I'll be working full-time and also studying, so I'll be a pretty quiet housemate while I'm there. I also collect vinyl records but I won't be taking my collection with me down to Canberra, because that seems excessive.
Im pretty easy going, neat and tidy for the most part. I work full time and do uni part time at ANU so I'm pretty much out for most of the day. I'm always good for a drink and chill, but also understand if you aren't into that. I mostly sleep through weekends but am always good for a night out if that's on the table. I love shopping and watching Netflix before bed. I'm pretty adaptable to whatever lifestyle, and pretty easy to talk to. I'm great with advice (especially the relationship kind;) and my baking skills aren't that bad. Feel free to message whenever, I will most likely reply after business hours.
Top floor of 2 storey house with good leafy views. View the city fireworks from your window! Very close (10 minutes) to shops, cinemas and cafes, walking through Glebe Park. The best of both worlds! Public transport in next street to airport, Barton and parliamentary area. Separate hot and cold air conditioning in all rooms. Email to view or ask any questions.
Just been offered a grad role in Canberra and looking for a roommate and place to live! From Sydney. A little about me: currently trying to learn my 4th language, spending more than I should on travelling as well as social outings. I'm a pretty clean and organised person who also likes my occasional solo down-time/Netflix. I like keeping somewhat active and also discovering new things.
I am working as an APS at the Department of Finance. I love nature, watching artistic films and want to get back into reading. I am looking for walking distance to Forrest or a maximum of 20 minute drive to Forrest. I am very flexible and do not require a personal bathroom. Additionally, I am a neat and tidy person.
Hey! Thanks for taking the time to read my profile. I'm originally from Melbourne and have recently landed a full time job in Canberra as a Software Engineer. I am very clean and tidy my hobbies are gaming on the pc, reading Warhammer 40k novels and cycling, so a typical geek. I've rented, shared houses in the past, I am reliable with bill, rental payments and have never lost bond. I've gotten along well with housemates in the past, can keep the household clean and very easy to talk.
I'm a German biology PhD student coming to Canberra in March for a 12 months research stay at the ANU. I really like living with other people, so I'm looking for flatmates who aren't just sharing the house to keep the rent low. I'd love to also enjoy the occasional meal or a tea/wine/beer/your drink of choice together. I've been living with flatmates for nearly ten years now, so I know how to keep common areas clean and I respect when people need some time on their own. In my free time, I like learning languages, playing board and card games with friends, going to concerts and being out in nature/hiking. I'll have to leave my band in Berlin, so I'm excited to see which new hobby I might pick up in Canberra.
The flat is on the Kingston Foreshore so close to many great things, restaurants, cafes, markets, galleries, lake and a short distance to the city. Building also has a good gym. We have the worlds biggest balcony! :)
Hey legends, My housemate is leaving the bright lights of Canberra for the sleepy village of Melbourne, so I've got a room in our apartment. The apartment is in a great spot on the Kingston Foreshore, close to the restaurants and bars, and a 15 minute walk to Barton. It's a two bedroom, 1.5 bathroom flat with a big balcony (you even have water views if you lean over the edge). It's a new place, so it's super warm in winter, has good appliances and aircon, stays clean and all that jazz. The room fits a queen bed, has built in storage and balcony access. And it has amazing views of the sunset.
Moving up from Melbourne in early February, and looking to acquire a room relatively soon after arriving (definitely before the end of February!). I'm completely new to Canberra and know no-one there, so moving in with people who could help me settle in to Canberra or interested in exploring Canberra with me would be great! I love going out and being social but I equally enjoy staying at home and enjoying myself. I love snowboarding, video games, tinkering with everything and building gadgets. I'll be working full time, so I will not be home most weekdays during working hours, but otherwise I have a world of time to kill! If you're interested, feel free to shoot me a message.
Hi my name is Alex! I am 24 years old, from Sydney, and have lived in Canberra for 2 years. I previously lived in Dublin for three years. I work four days a week as an administrator at ANU, and am doing a full time PhD at the ANU School of Public Policy. My housemate and his girlfriend are moving away in early March so I am looking for somewhere new! I have lived in three share houses in the past and have always had a great time. I love cats and dogs and am a clean and relaxed housemate. Social or quiet housemates would be ideal for me! On weekends I like to trip around NSW (and know all the best places to go :P) or have to study at the National Archives.
I'm an easygoing, low-maintenance individual that enjoys spending most of their spare time exploring the surrounding sights and scenes. I'm also neat and tidy and respect other people's spaces. Also enjoy cooking when I can. Looking for a room to stay for 12 months.
Employed full time, clean, healthy, have my own interests and hobbies (but don't mid showing and sharing). Looking for a place reasonably close to the CBD to make it easier to get to work, and enjoy all that Canberra has to offer.
I'm a nonbinary PhD student at ANU. I'm very clean and friendly, and usually up for a chat. I'm a very outdoorsy person and like to spend my weekends hiking or camping. Otherwise I spend a lot of time playing video games or reading to relax. I'm looking for a place close to ANU with chill and accepting housemates that I can hang out with but also have my own space.
Current NSW resident (1hr south of Newcastle), looking to move to Canberra in early 2020 for university :-) Am currently a (sober) bartender and will most likely continue part time in the industry down in the ACT. I like learning languages, exercise, chilling out, drawing and playing video games(if you like nintendo we will get along well). Also don't mind a good chat (although am quite timid at first) but I do need a bit of alone time (definitely am not a party person). I'm an easygoing, open-minded and flexible person and I will happily contribute to the upkeep of the house. 100% LGBTQI+ friendly
Hey! I’m Lucy and I’m from Adelaide. I’m looking for somewhere to live while I’m on a contract in Canberra until June (with a possibility to extend). I’ll be working in Government as a law grad full time. I’m a social person but love to stay in and watch a movie, cook delicious food and have a quiet one. I like the outdoors, doggos and eating out.
I am a second year undergrad studying health science at ANU, working casually at Questacon. I am very friendly, pretty tidy, and love to chat but respectful of space. I like music, art and books, bush walks, spending time with family and friends as well as drinking coffee. I am looking for a room close to ANU with friendly likeminded students or professionals for between 6-12 months moving in over the next few weeks (flexible).
Hi peeps, Im a laid back person that's still new to the Canberra scene. Im looking for a place to call home for the next 12 months and enjoy what Canberra has to offer. I work in the city and do few hours as its my passion, I'm Hardly ever home. Good vibes :)
I'm moving to Canberra from Perth to start a graduate position with the Attorney-General's Department. I really enjoy all kinds of sport, love watching movies, and I'm always happy to entertain guests. I'm looking for fun, respectful flatmates that can help me get familiar with Canberra. A place near Barton would be ideal but I'm willing to commute a little further as I have a car coming over with me. Please feel free to send me any questions you might have about me or my accomodation requirements. I look forward to meeting my future housemates.
I am moving from Sydney to Canberra to start work as a graduate in the Department of Health. I love getting outside and exploring new places, staying in and cooking meals or going out for a drink with friends. I'm looking for a household where we can hang out/have a chat or a meal together, but I also respect everyones need for privacy and space.
Hi there! I'm moving from Sydney to Canberra to work full-time as an APS grad in February. I'm friendly, easy going and more than happy to pull my weight in cleaning. I am sociable and keen to share a meal or a drink with any future flatmates. However, I also appreciate my own space and time to relax. I'm a coffee lover, enjoy cooking, a Netflix binger and love the beach and being outdoors.
Hi, my name is Kiarie (I'm the taller one in the photo). I'm a former student at the ANU, who loves going on runs, hiking, and skateboarding. I've lived in multiple social share houses and I'm clean and respectful of shared spaces. I currently work full time as a data scientist in a kiwi tech company with an office in town. I'm looking to meet and live with new people who don't mind sharing a dinner or drinks every once in a while or even possibly joining a social sports team with me.
