I'm Roberta and am a third-year PhD candidate (International Relations/International Law) at UNSW Canberra. I'm returning to Australia after a year of field research in Brazil/USA and am looking for a place to live until I finish my studies. Before going overseas I transferred my degree from UNSW Sydney to the Canberra campus so I'd be looking for a quiet place but also to live with someone who would be keen to have a chat, have dinner every once in a while, and maybe to show me around the city sometimes. I'm Brazilian but have been in Australia for nearly 10 years and have mostly lived in shared places, so I am very clean, tidy, and respectful of other people's spaces and privacy. I do research full-time and work part-time as a research assistant at UNSW but I also do love binge watching tv shows, going for a hike, and finding good coffee places around town.
Hi, I'm a PhD student at ANU University. I'm italian, I'm a funny person, I like to make friends and I'm a good cook (italian cuisine ;) ). I have several hobbies, for example I like listening to the music, reading, playing bass guitar (not in Australia, of course) and playing football with friends. I have been living with other flatmates for 6 years and rarely I fought with them. Actually we are still friends. I'm clean and polite. I'm looking for a long-stay as well as a temporary accomodation.
I'm a New Zealander and I'm moving to Australia to study a Master's in Environmental Science at ANU. I love travelling - I grew up in Uzbekistan, Georgia, and Armenia and I'm currently spending the "summer" interning in northern California. Hobbies - cooking, reading, tramping and hiking, fitness, Netflix. I've flatted for 5 years so I'm very tolerant and respectful, and I'm tidy and pretty quiet. I like socializing with my flatmates and I enjoy my me-time too, I'm good at going with the flow. I’m looking for a room solo until about June/July when my boyfriend Dave will be moving over from NZ to join me. So I’m interested in short-term single rooms or longer-term rooms that are suitable for couples :)
I've lived in Canberra for a few months now. My current housemate is moving out because of a new job in another state. I'm pretty relaxed and respectful of personal space. I'd also like to live someone who is reasonably tidy. I'm not overly talkative, but I think I'm a good listener. i enjoy playing and watching sport, watching TV shows, reading, playing video and board games and exploring the city.
Hey there, I'm a school leaver from Sydney moving to study arts and political science full time at ANU and looking for long-term accommodation within public transport/walking/cycling distance. I'm an active, easygoing person keen on hiking, books, and meeting new people. As a housemate, I respect quiet, cleanliness, and massive parties. I will be looking for part-time job while studying so the particulars of my schedule are yet to be clarified. I presume that my routine will consist mostly of studying, work, and attempting to improve my cooking skills.
Easy going, respect others to be respected, clean and tidy. Study and work full time. Coffee, Netflix, cooking, chats, socializing, languages, other cultures, international affairs, quite time (me time your time) Speak 3 languages, learning French and Russian (if you are keen to be mates for that also welcomed :) ) Flexible on rent and areas. Flexible on furniture, I have some and can be used in the house if needed. Flick me a message if you have any questions
Hi, I am a 2018 Grad and am moving down from Sydney. I am happy to share with guys or girls and am easygoing. I wouldn’t mind sharing a meal and a few drinks on the weekend but I also know how to respect personal space. I enjoy being in the outdoors. Happy to move in a week before the 5/2 or around one week after.
I'm friendly and easy going, mostly keep to myself - but wouldn't mind occasional chats and a bit of a social house. I'll be starting full time work in Jan end. I like to keep the house tidy and am respectful of other housemates. I like to cook sometimes, read and have occasional outings with friends. I don't have a car, so would ideally like to live within walking distance (upto 10 minutes) from a main bus stop.
Hi! I'm moving to Canberra from Sydney in late January to start a full-time job with the Attorney General's Department. I'm looking for medium- long term accomodation though I'm quite flexible. I'm tidy, easy going and happy to catch up and relax over board games and a few drinks. I'm also respectful and responsible and would be more than happy to contribute to whatever the house needs. I like cooking (especially desserts), reading, watching movies/TV, hiking and going to the beach. I'm happy to talk over the phone or drive down and meet in person if you're interested!
Katelyn and I are both Brisbane girls who have found jobs in Government. We are both very easy going people, social and tidy. Flexible with move in dates. We are both heading to Canberra in early Feb but happy to pay a little bit early or move in later. Message me if you want to know anything at all.
Hi, my name is Shelley. I am a 29 year old from Perth with a background in marine science and fisheries. I am moving to Canberra in January to do a Masters in Science Communication at ANU. I love nature and the outdoors and am super keen to go skiing while on the east. I am looking for a place close to ANU with clean and easy going non-smoking housemates (preferably with dogs and a garden too!). About me: I am fairly social - like a good dance and a glass of red, but am not a party animal and enjoy my quiet time too. I enjoy gardening and cooking and this year, I'll be away with my course for a couple of months over the course of the year.
Hi there! I am a student moving to Canberra for 1 year to work while completing a postgraduate degree. I love animals but sadly will be leaving my dog at home. I am typically a quiet person when at home who prefers to relax by going outside or watching videos/movies. I clean up after myself and enjoy gardening and adding some green touches! I prefer to cook my own meals at home most of the time but do enjoy going out to try new places to eat. I will have a busy schedule so wish to find a place that is calm and quiet. Hope to be in touch soon!
Hello! I'm Olivia and originally from Florida but I've been living in Canberra since mid November. I'm seeking a room to rent for roughly 6 months. I've been staying in Braddon but my lease here will be up shortly. I work part time at a restaurant in the area and spend my weekdays at the airport studying aviation for my CPL H. I like to stay active and do a lot of walking, hiking and swimming. In my spare time, if I'm not out socializing, I'll be nose deep in books or a T.V. series. I'm very friendly and fun to spend time with and would be happy to have the occasional drink and dinner together. I enjoy my alone time though and am fully respectful of others needs for space as well. I'm very responsible and courteous when it comes to shared cleaning and other chores. I'm hoping to find a roommate as quirky as myself to share a flat with in the new year!
Hey all, I'm 22 and a recent graduate moving to Canberra in 2018 for a full time job. I'm fun, respectful, and happy to hang out but also enjoy my own space. I am looking to move in somewhere for at least 12 months with people who are social, relaxed, and fun to be around. Send me a message if you have any questions :)
Tidy, clean, organised, lived with housemates for many years, enjoy cooking. Pretty relaxed with bathroom usage. Christian, tries to live those values. I'll be starting my PhD in Philosophy, but am currently a full time teacher, living in WA. Just wanted to see if I could organise accommodation in advance :) I love to dance (tango and flamenco) and come complete with multiple teapots and a tea collection. I have a habit of adding wine to almost everything I cook ... wine not?
I'm coming down from Brisbane to Canberra for a graduate position within the APS starting February. I'm relaxed and laid back, easy going can get along with anyone, love a good laugh. Won't be bringing much down with me so will be tidy no hassles there! Into sports, bit of casual gaming , outdoor activities, and travel so definitely looking forward to seeing what Canberra has to offer in that regards. Show me what you got, Would prefer 6months+, I am flexible with move in dates but prefer to be in Canberra by February the 1st at the latest. Cheers!
My apartment in the new Campbell 5 complex is just three-months old, so everything is new, clean and lovely. It is airy and light-filled and has plenty of storage space. The location is ideal; walking distance to the city, perfect for runs around the lake or walks up Mt Ainslie, a 20min cycle to almost anywhere within the inner north or south (including Barton and Parliament House). The room is available unfurnished ($340 per week) or furnished ($360 per week).
This apartment is beautiful and brand new with ducted reverse cycle air-conditioning. The apartment will be furnished (but also room for some of your things if you want to bring anything), but the bedroom will be unfurnished. The bedroom is not huge, but you will have your own bathroom (the main bathroom) and the room also has built-in robes. The apartment has 2 secure car spaces (which is rare to find!) and a basement storage cage. The apartment is in an awesome location! Only minutes to the city and Lake Burley Griffin, 10 minute bike ride to Braddon (or 5 minute drive), 15 minute bike ride to Kingston foreshore (or 8 minute drive) and 14 minute bike ride to Barton. (I will be moving in on the 25th of January, so the apartment will be furnished then) * Sorry, no smokers.
Hey, I am new to Canberra starting in a graduate role in the Department of Environment and Energy in early 2018. I'm a friendly, bubbly and respectful roommate and am keen to live with social people who like to have an occasional drink and sometime cook meals together. I enjoy playing netball and tennis in my free time as well as exploring and going on adventures!
We are looking for a third person to join our fantastic apartment on the Kingston Foreshore. The apartment has an amazing view across Lake Burley Griffin, has a very large open plan living space with plenty of natural light. Apart from the bedroom, the apartment is fully furnished with some cool 70s furniture and lots of plants! The bedroom is large and has a big built-in robe and ensuite bathroom. It also has it's own air conditioning and includes an underground secure carpark. The apartment is close to Kingston shops, Manuka, and the foreshore. The apartment is on top of the Walt and Burley bar so there's a bit of noise but if you're a deep sleeper it should be fine (it doesn't bother Ed and I).
I'm an Australian male in his mid-30s just moved to Canberra. I have funding for about 2 years to do research, broadly in the area of sustainability, at the ANU. I'm a quiet but friendly guy happy for a chat or a shared dinner but also respectful of others' personal space. Favourite hobbies are outdoor activities (hiking, skiing, climbing, etc.) and dancing (lindy hop and blues). I am vegetarian but OK with meat being cooked in the same house! I've previously sharehoused in Canberra and Germany. The last couple of years I've been living by myself (in Sweden, where sharehouses are not so common) and while it's nice I do miss having people around!
Hello there - I'm heading into my second year at ANU next year. I am originally from Sydney, and am looking for a place for me and my plants to live in the glorious capital (preferably walking/biking distance from uni). I'm studious, but easy going and I try to keep it tidy. I'm looking to move in at some point in January.
Hello! I'm originally from Geelong in Vic I'm going into my third year of International Relations, I take my studies fairly seriously so will be a respectful roommate. I work alongside uni in hospitality, love to cook and drink coffee. :) *Can be flexible with move dates*
Hi, I'm Eugène, I'll be moving from the Netherlands to Canberra in February to start an internship at the Dutch Embassy. As of March, I'll have my own place in Canberra but I am still looking for a place to stay at for the second half of February. Move date is the date when I arrive in Canberra, but I would like to pay for a week before / after I moved in to order a room. I have shared several apartments in the past. I am a clean and tidy, respectful, and easy to get along with person.
Hi! I'm moving down to Canberra from Sydney to start work with the Department of Finance, and I'm interested in making a new sharehouse/flat, or finding a place within an existing one sometime in January/February :) I'm easy-going, sociable, and also responsible and respectful of each other's privacy. I've lived on my own before so I can somewhat-mediocrely cook food, and keep things clean and tidy. My hobbies include reading books, writing terrible poetry, travelling and exploring new places (especially if it involves hiking).
Im cool and easy going. I like to keep shared areas clean and tidy. Give me a chat if you wanna team up. Im only looking for a female housemate. (Preferrably one housemate only but pets are fine 😊 as long as theyre clean ) I am a smoker so I need a housemate who dont mind a smoker housemate. Id love to share a glass of wine after a tiring day at work. Im cool with anything as long as we get good communication and things will work out pretty well. (Bills, rent, internet etc) Im an international student who just graduated Cert IV in Patisserie and finishing further studies next term. Im looking forward to move in as soon as possible.
Hi, Adriana and I are best friends/housemates, our lease is ending and we’re looking for a third and possibly fourth housemate to find a new place to live with us/enrich our lives. Bit about us, we met one drunken night out in civic when I, (Michaela) asked a random girl, (Adriana) if she was looking for a housemate. Turns out she was, and then we shared a muesli bar that Adriana had in her handbag. The rest is history. Obviously, we love to have a good time. BUT we are also very studious full-time university students, who love to cook (Michaela used to work as a chef before making a career change) and keep a clean and inviting home. Adriana is the proud single mother of Cilla, who has many aunties and you could be one too! Only if you want though, she’s lives outside and we look after her pretty well. She’s not annoying, dw she doesn’t bark. By the way Cilla is a two-year-old golden retriever. There are few things you need to know about Adriana. 1. Adriana is studying law and international relations at ANU. 2. Adriana is the most outgoing person you will ever know. Everyone she meets she becomes friends with. 3. Adriana has the best dance moves. You cannot get her off the dance floor, 11/10 top dancer. 4. Adriana is so incredibly passionate about gender equality and environmental issues, in a non-preachy way – she taught me how to recycle and compost properly. Very handy life skills 5. Adriana is a really good mum to Cilla and me. Soooo this is Adriana writing about Michaela. Michaela is currently studying social work at ACU, when you meet her it’s abundantly clear why as she’s fiercely loyal to her friends and always willing to go the extra mile. She’s lots of fun, and really smart, she’s great to talk to about anything and offers a unique opinion on any topic. We’re flexible with furniture arrangements, just let us know. We also have a HUGE television and Foxtel. So, if you wanna meet us, send us a message and maybe we can start the best share house that’s ever existed.
Hi, I'm packing up and moving to Canberra to start study at ANU after having given Real Estate a crack in Central West NSW for the first 2 years out of school. I'm a very open person and would be more than happy to get to know a future flatmate, but totally respect your privacy. I am pretty chilled out and mature for my age, enjoy keeping fit, spending time with friends, working and hopefully dedicating some time to study!
Hey guys, My name’s Ayesha and I’ve been living in a share house with four other people for 4 years now. I’m a very chill person that is clean and tidy, likes a good chat and a drink, but is respectful of privacy as well. I’m a mean cook, I love the outdoors and staying active, but I also have my lazy days where I game/binge tv shows and eat cereal for dinner. Other than that, I’m originally from Sydney, I’m a full time student at ANU, and I have a part-time job. I’m keen to talk to you if you want to team up and find accommodation, or have as a housemate! Cheers Ayesha :)
Young academic moving to Canberra to be part of the ANU Science Communication Outreach Masters program. I am looking for somewhere close to ANU. I pride myself on being clean and tidy. In addition, I am quite independent and like my privacy but I'm up for social activities. While I can drive, I do not have a car (easy parking for you!). My interests include outdoor adventures (especially hiking), dancing and sketching/painting. If I sound like your next roommate, please don't hesitate to contact me!

SHORT TERM Hi there! We are two friends that are currently working in the Openair Cinemas in Canberra. We are now renting a room until the 5th of february. We are looking for a room to share from the 5th of february until approximately the 26th (3 weeks).
I'm moving to Canberra to work full-time. I’m very sociable and I love food, wine, sport and going out with friends but I also enjoy my downtime with a cup of tea and Netflix. I'm tidy, respectful and always pay rent on time.
Will be relocating to Canberra from Perth and am looking for a room around the Braddon area ideally. Clean and tidy, very financially stable, friendly and easy going. Looking to find a place as soon as possible for a move in date beginning of February.
We are looking for a new home since we have just returned from traveling. We are clean, social, warm and friendly. We enjoy meeting new people and gaining new experiences alongside music,wine/beers, art, kayaking and sport. My partner, Thelma is in her mid 20's and finishing her nursing degree at UC and is also working as an assistant nurse. I'm in my 30's working in the public service in the city hence why the location would be perfect. We have both lived in share houses before and while we like to hang out we also understand the need for down time.
I have recently relocated from Newcastle to Canberra to study a masters program at ANU. Currently staying in short-term accommodation in Scullin, and am looking to move in closer to Civic before or starting at February. I have about five or so years experience living in sharehouse arrangements. I am neat, clean, responsible and quiet. I enjoy a friendly household where the tenants engage in polite conversation, and I am also conscious of giving people space and privacy.
