I'm moving from Sydney to start postgrad study at ANU first semester this year - I'm flexible with my moving date. I'm a mature individual, and I keep everything (but my sock drawer) tidy. I'm easy to get along with and I'm always up for a chat/being social, but am happy to keep to myself in the house if that's the go. I love sports, particularly netball, and am looking to get involved in a new club/team once I move. I'm a music fan (the non-snobby kind), and love to attend big concerts as well as local gigs. I'm open to different locations, though as a Sydneysider who has spent her life traveling and commuting to everything - I'd love to take advantage of the size of Canberra and live somewhere central.
Hey there! I'm Grace and I'm about to leave my home town Melbourne for the capital city. Currently homeless so here I am...I am about to start a new job in the APS and am moving up in a few weeks. My move in date is flexible, but would be sometime in February. I am not sure what length of lease etc I'm looking for but open to different options. Outside of work I like to find great brunch spots and great coffee, go to the gym, relax, go on Netflix binges and so on. I'm a low key kind of person especially during the working week so would love some people to relax at home with who also won't mind if I chill out in my room alone sometimes. I am a clean and tidy person and am looking forward to making a new home in Canberra. I would be open to furnished or unfurnished options. I'm a pretty relaxed house mate, I'd love to make some new friends so let me know if all of that works for you and you have a room or need a housemate to find a place with :)
I'm moving to Canberra in early February (can move in earlier or later) to work full time in finance in the APS. I'm clean and tidy and enjoy cooking/baking. I love animals so I'm happy to live in a household with pets. I’m pretty active outside of work with volunteering for various causes and also enjoy hiking and other cool activities. On the other hand, I love a day at home just chilling out crafting, watching Netflix and cross stitching and am more than happy to have company when I’m at home. I'm considerate of other people's space but also enjoy socialising.
Hi! I am an incoming APS Grad student (Dept of Energy/Environment). I am an outgoing and fun person to hang around with while still being very neat, organised and accommodating of other people. I love travelling, socialising and playing sports like soccer/basketball and doing outdoors activities like skiing and hiking.
Hello! I'll be starting full-time work with the public service in February 2017 and as such am looking for flatmates :) About me - I see myself as a friendly, but pretty relaxed person. I I like to keep active - swimming, cycling, and hiking are things I like to do for fun. I also love to cook and would be open to the occasional shared meal. As a newcomer to Canberra, I'll be keen for a chat over a beer and game for adventures in the CBD or bushland. That being said, I also value privacy and the need to feel 'at home' and comfortable in living situations. You can expect me to be courteous and friendly :) I am looking for two or three relaxed housemates who are happy for a chat. I value open communication, shared housework (roster perhaps?) and tidy shared living areas. Feel free to message me if you're looking to start a share house or in need of a flatmate - would love to meet you!
This is a really spacious house with a sprawling garden and a rather large trampoline. The room is large and unfurnished with a massive en suite (spa included). It also has 2 built in wardrobes. Plus, we have a trampoline in the backyard. The location of the house is very convenient, given it's only a 15 minutes walk to the lake, 25 minute walk to the Canberra Centre, and a 20 minute walk to Russell Offices. It is in a quiet neighbourhood with great neighbours. The house comes fully furnished but we're open to negotiations if you want/need to bring general household furnishings with you. We currently have a fridge, washing machine, tv, couches, piano and a table. However, you'll need to supply your own furniture for the room. Utilities (gas/electricity) are split evenly. Internet is unlimited and $20 per month.
I am starting my Masters in Economics at ANU from 20 February, and am looking to relocate from Sydney to Canberra in the next few weeks. A bit about me: I am 23 and easy going, looking to move in with likeminded people. I have been sharing with my housemates in Sydney since March last year, so am well versed in the art of share housing. I know when to keep to myself, but also happy to share the occasional dinner/drinks. I clean up after myself always, and contribute to the household regularly. I am easy going, and will be working part time and studying the rest of the time. I also make a great cup of tea.
Ideally I'd like to live with like-minded people who work hard, lead busy and social lives and enjoy relaxing with a drink on the weekends or getting amongst the outdoors. I'll be new to Canberra in 2017, so will be up for exploring surrounding areas and meeting new people. I love skiing and snowboarding, so I'll likely be away at Perisher and Thredbo for plenty of weekend trips throughout winter. I'm tidy, good with money and have never had any issues with shared living - so feel free to get in contact if you think you have a suitable place in Kingston, Barton, Parkes or any surrounding areas. I'm open to ideas! Kieran
Hey! I’m Sarah and I’m looking for a room to rent from mid-late Feb (dates flexible) when I move over to Canberra from Perth. Looking for a lease preferably at least 6 months with an option to continue, or to team up and start a share house.
Hi everybody! We are a couple travelling the world to learn more about living in other cultures and meeting new people. We're searching for jobs in Canberra. The plan is to stay here for at least a few months, maybe longer depending on whether we find a job and how we like it. We are used to living with roommates since we had a house in Belgium that we shared with three international students and we always had the best of times. We are used to taking lots of responsibility in the house. Don't hesitate to send us a message to ask us more info! Greetings! Eline & Niels
I have recently accepted an offer to work full-time for the Department of Veterans' Affairs as an ICT Graduate. I have just moved from Brisbane to Canberra, and am looking for accommodation. I would preferably like to move into a place as soon as possible. I am twenty one years of age, and have recently completed my undergraduate Bachelor of Information Technology, with a major in Software Development, from Griffith University. I am an easy-going, considerate and sociable person, and am a strong believer in cleanliness. I have a passion for travelling and enjoy playing computer games in my free time.
Originally from the Gold Coast moving to Canberra for work.Clean and tidy, quite sociable but do enjoy and respect personal space. Enjoy reading, health and fitness, relaxing with a few drinks and occasionally golfing.
Hey Everyone! My name's Gurpreet, I've just moved to Canberra from Auckland, New Zealand to start up my career, which is located in Barton. A bit about me - I’m 23, easy to get along with, and will be a clean flatmate. I'm an avid basketball fan, a lover of food, and am keen to meet new people in and around Canberra. If I sound like a suitable candidate as a new flatmate, feel free to message me and we can grab a coffee. Thanks! 🙂 Gurpreet
I'm male, single, and a non-smoker. Returning to Canberra for work after studying at ANU until 2015. I’m a tidy person who likes to share the occasional meal or watch TV with company but I’m also considerate of other people’s need for privacy. My new job requires very early starts (~4am) a few times a week so I'm looking for flatmates who can accommodate my hours.

I am starting a masters course at ANU in 2017 and am looking for either an existing sharehouse or someone looking to set one up. Preferably wouldn't want more than 3 in the house, and postgrad or later year undergrads would be ideal. I am quiet to live with, I do spend a lot of time in front of the computer screen, but I'm not a complete hermit. Friendly housemates who are similar and want to be able to be left to do their work but frieldly and easy going would ever good. Move date is flexible, early to mid Jan would be perfect. If you have a room available or are also looking to get a new share house going close to ANU sms or give me a call and we can meet up. Cheers, Stu.
Another grad making the pilgrimage to Canberra for an APS job. I am generally very social and like to organise fun group events, although I still need my own time to binge watch series on Netflix. I'm hoping to get in a good routine of work/gym/fun/sleep/laziness, and enjoy baking quite a bit. I can also promise I have enough candles to fill an entire house, free for your use! Looking for housemates who are happy to socialise, but won't get offended when I lock myself in my room for a night either :)
Hi all! I am moving to Canberra from Melbourne in February to take up a graduate role in Barton. I love going out for food/drinks, exploring the city, going to the gym, or having chilled nights in at home. I'm very organised and clean, love a bit of cooking at home sometimes and just relaxing on the couch. I'm super excited about moving to Canberra, so would love to live with someone who knows the area well and can show me some cool places!! I am looking for a place to share with 1-2 other people that is new and close to either the City or to Barton. I would prefer to have an ensuite bathroom or my own bathroom. I have no pets, and I don't smoke. Please let me know if I would suit your place!! Caitlin :)
Hello! I'll be moving from Darwin to study Anthropology at ANU. I'm currently doing youth work, which I love, but I'm also really looking forward to returning to uni. I grew up in Melbourne, but coming now from Darwin, am probably one of the few newbies to Canberra anticipating a great number of things on...! I am relaxed and considerate, clean, independent and social-ish. I'd like to live in/make a 'home.' I love doing things at home (sewing/fermenting indoors and growing outdoors) and exploring walks, cinema, and gigs beyond.
Hi All, My name is Karen, I am 23 years old and will be relocating to Canberra in January to start my career in the APS! Hi :) I am moving to Canberra in the new year for work and am looking to rent a room in a share house/apartment with people who do not smoke, are respectful, positive and clean. I am looking for somewhere in and around Central Canberra. I don't have a car so walking distance to public transport is important. I have lived in share houses in major cities around the world so am well house trained. I am a non-smoker, very respectful of peoples property and personal space and have a bubbly, laid back personality. If you'd like to know more please feel free to get in touch. Thanks, Steph :)
Hello! We are a couple from Manchester England who are coming back to work and have fun in Canberra! We both love socialising and having fun together or apart! hope to hear back from people! thanks Jodie & Cormac
I'm from Perth moving to Canberra for a grad program! I love to cook and am a very clean person. I like my privacy and hoping for a roommate who is the same but loves a drink or three on the weekend. I'll be working full time and would like to find a cool netball team! I like listening to music, bike riding, and Netflix binges.
I'm a full time food and beverage attendant at a hotel in Canberra. I'm tidy and easy to get along with. I respect everyone's privacy as I want mine to be treated the same. Doing outdoor activities, especially running, biking, hiking are usually spent during my free time(especially during spring/summer) I can do a little booze with friends/housemates occasionally.
I am a cheerful and friendly person who has just recently graduated. I love pets both cats and dogs so living with them wouldn't be a problem at all for me. I am heading into full time work within the financial industry and am moving from Sydney to Canberra. I am quiet and clean person :) 0
Hey future flatmate! I'm Noora, a 21-year-old girl from Finland. I'm currently looking for a room close to Civic at least for the next six months, probably even longer. I would also be willing to start a share house or flat if you happen to be looking for a place as well. I work quite long hours as a full time chef in a restaurant located in city. Needless to say, I love cooking and good food and this is something to share with my flatmates as well. Outside work I enjoy training aikido, yoga and other exercise, as well as just hanging out at home sometimes. My other big interest is travelling. I would describe myself as a tidy and respectful housemate and fairly relaxed person who enjoys good company and occasionally having a drink with friends. If you'd like to know more about me, feel free to ask and if this sounds like something you 'd like to live with I would love to meet you in person. Cheers, Noora
Hi! My name is Jackie, 38 yrs. old. I have a 5 yr. old son. We are from South Korea. I am a Filipino and my son is half Korean. I will be studying in CIT and was in IT career for almost 10 years. I am a very organized person and loves having a clean house. I look younger than my age as many says maybe because I am a happy and friendly person. You can easily get along with me well. My son as also is a very nice and well-behaved kid. It would be fun having him around. We love walking around and see the nature and its beauty. Biking, fishing, picnic is fun.
Working 9-5 in the city so somewhere in the area would be ideal. Drinks tea and coffee in equal measure, will recycle till the end of days. Can cook about 12 things but willing to try new things (i promise i won't poison you). Enjoy playing sports some evenings and watching it others. I keep lying to myself that I like running but will do it on occasion.
Hi all! My name is Laura, I am a postgraduate student obtaining my Masters in Globalisation at ANU. I am originally from the United States, but am quite familiar with Canberra as this will be my second year of uni. I am looking to move closer to the city as right now I feel I live too far, and my modes of transportation do not get me there and back fast enough. Ideally, a 10-minute bike ride is as far as I would have to go. I am clean, tidy, and friendly. I enjoy cooking, socialising, wine, game nights, and some down time. I am looking for a place to call home ideally with individuals who want to be more than just roommates and enjoy some chats and laughs! Looking to move in early February. Please contact me for this listing through message as I am out of the country until the new year! Thank you!
I'm a third-year ANU student. I love great chats but also personal space. I'm really tidy and am keen for to take part in the cleaning roster or anything like that. I'm a department officer at the ANU Students Association so will have a steady income to pay fortnightly/monthly rent.
Hi! I'm an almost 20 yr old student at ANU, currently studying a double degree in Arts/Science after transferring from UniMelb, majoring in Political Science, Economics and Mathematical Economics, and minoring in Applied Statistics (maybe: not quite sure what I'm doing with myself atm :/.) I also work casually in service, so my job, uni work and extra-curriculars keep me pretty active. Looking for a place to move into close to campus, shops etc. for convenience. Have been living away from home self-catered for 3-ish years now, so I'm pretty familiar with this gig. I'm pretty chill and absolutely respect personal space, property etc., so beyond being a bit fussy with cleaning and noise, I reckon I'm pretty easy to live with. I'm interested in almost anything and everything: tennis, rock-climbing, filmmaking, movies, games, photography, music, tech stuff, so I'm a bit all over the place. Needa move by the 31st of Dec at the very latest (possibly later but kinda rough on my end), so if you've got something that works hmu :)
looking for a place to stay for a year or longer sooner rather than later if possible recently finished school where I boarded
I am from Sydney and I will be moving to Canberra to start an APS job. I enjoy socialising but also my down time and love a good cup of coffee! I like to get out on the weekends and explore the city, especially bush walking and swimming to keep fit. Having lived out of home for a number of years I know how to look after myself. I'm tidy and respectful especially in shared spaces. I love animals and would be more than happy to share with someone with pets although I don't have any myself.
I'm a ANU arts/law student working in a law firm part time. I'm clean and quiet but also love to socialise with the people I live with. I love reading and hanging with friends as well as baking so there are always sweet treats in my house!
