I'm moving to Canberra from Sydney in July to study a Master of Public Policy at ANU. I'm looking for close knit, friendly flatmates - but also peace and quiet when needed.
Hi! I'm Cam and I'm looking for a place to live. I am moving to Canberra for a graduate position in the public service so I'm looking for somewhere to stay for at least 6 months. I am really easy going, pretty tidy and I don't smoke. I'm a half decent cook (I think) so I'm down to share meals too. When I move down I'll be looking for a gym, and an oztag/touch footy/soccer team to join. Snow trips are also definitely on the cards and I might end up getting a season pass. I do have a car, so a place with off street parking would be great. An en-suite or own bathroom would also be really nice but not a must have. Mostly I'm looking for somewhere close to the center of Canberra so I can be close to my work.
I’m from the Netherlands and doing my 5 month internship in Canberra starting mid-july. I love cooking, hiking, and just hanging out with a glass of wine and Netflix. I’m fairly independent but always open for chit-chat. I’ve lived in shared housing before with 2 - 10 roommates and always had great experiences. I’ll be doing a full-time internship so I won’t be around during the weekdays during the day.
I am looking for: A room to sleep in and keep my stuff. A little bit about me: Work Management Consultant Fun Swimming for exercise Tv for zoning out. Hammocking with a book or music for relaxation. (If no hammocks available, willing to try other activities.) Personal attributes demonstrating to my house sharing skills and talent: - Tidy - Considerate of others and courteous - Easy going - People person (within reason) - Always has $ for rent and bills - Rarely home during daylight on weekdays - Not a dick
Hi all! My name’s Adam. I’m a 28 year old lawyer from Perth. I’m coming over to Canberra in July for a one year stint and am looking for a share house to live in. I’m not too fussed on how many people I share with - I have lived in share houses since 2014 (and still do) of as few as 3 and as many as 6 people. I am clean, love fixing things up (especially gardens) and am as social or private as the vibe requires.
Room available for two to three months in the best apartment in Canberra! Beautiful furnished bedroom in a modern, bright apartment with amazing views over Lake Burley Griffin and towards Parliament House. The bedroom contains a double bed, bedside table and a lamp, and has spacious built-in cupboards. The penthouse apartment is on the top floor of the complex and is spread over two levels, with a massive living area and kitchen, and a separate dining room. It has a giant balcony that looks over Lake BG with an outdoor table for breakky in the sunshine. You would be sharing a bathroom with one other person (he is very clean and only home about half the time). You would have access to a car space in the underground garage, and have full access to the complex gym. Rent includes all bills (including high speed internet, car park, electricity and water). Located in the heart of Canberra. Walking distance to the Kingston Foreshore, Parliamentary Triangle and Lake Burley Griffin! Would suit someone recently moved to Canberra looking for a welcoming place to stay as they find their feet, or someone looking a short term, flexible arrangement.
Hey Hey, I'm a social, outgoing and chill fourth-year student at ANU, looking for somewhere to live for semester 2, 2019! I'm currently on exchange at Queen's uni in Canada and am looking for somewhere for the beginning of July. I'm a clean and organised person and while I enjoy just hanging out, I respect everyone has their own style and sense of place. I love running, yoga and soccer. In my downtime I like to paint and draw, go for a bushwalk or two. I enjoy travelling and having time to be spontaneous! If it's sunny, you'll most likely find me basking in the glory of the sun's rays with a good book and a coffee. I'm looking for a house that enjoys the occasional family dinner, is open to starting a veggie patch and cares about the environment. If I sound just about right for you and your house, hit me up because I'm sure we'll get on fab!
I am quite flexible living with. Just prefer to keep everything clean and organized. No hassles with parties, people coming over etc. Will be working working part time soon.
We're both later-year ANU students studying international relations, Gabby also does law and Shibs does business. We're both friendly, tidy and sociable, and love cooking and spending time with our housemates. We both love the outdoors and travelling, and are keen to find a house with like-minded people!
Hey, I'm 23, a software engineer from Auckland NZ. I'll be attending ANU next year and looking for a place to call home. I'm an outdoor person, adventurous and kind. Into martial arts, dancing, personal development, etc...
We are a chilled out couple looking for a place to call home. Our perfect evenings usually include tunes and cooking in the kitchen, catch ups with each other and any housemates that happen to be around, cheese, and maybe a nature doco. More about us: Drummond, 23. Likes a nice boulder, deathcore, age of empires 2, cheese and wine. Loves a dart, but appreciates that people need to breathe Canberra's fresh mountain air in peace. Working as a refrigeration apprentice, comes with big ute and a big smile. Rachel, 27. Enjoys an enormous cup of tea, starting craft projects she will never finish, having a chat and pretending she does yoga regularly. Working that public service contract lifestyle, sells flowers at the farmers market most Sundays. Comes equipped with fresh flowers, feminist hip hop, more costumes than you can shake a stick at and some very nice kitchen supplies. Mao, unknown age. Currently being fostered by us, we would love to keep her, but can make arrangements to find her a new foster family if necessary. Loves belly rubs and people who are willing to sit still long enough to sit on. Pretty sure everyone is starving her to death, but reasonably low key about demanding more food. House trained and ready to mingle. Both of us are looking for a home, not a house. We're hoping to make friends with our housemates and would love a place where people communicate, and are happy to be flexible and supportive of everyone's needs. If you like the sound of us, or have any questions please be in touch :)
Hi! I am Laetitia, a French student coming in Canberra for an exchange at the ANU :) I am currently studying International Laws. I love traveling: these past years I have lived in Canada, United States, Netherlands... I am looking forward for my adventure in Australia to begin! I have lived in shared apartments with different roommates and it has always been rewarding and has made the experience unique. I enjoy sharing meals/drinks with my roommates from time to time but also respect each other privacy. If you think it could be a fit, please don't hesitate to contact me ! Laetitia
I'm originally from Bathurst in regional NSW; I came to Canberra for uni and have been here ever since. I'm leaving my current house so the owner can move back in, and can move in any time before 30 June when that happens. I work for the government, and my hobbies are basketball, trivia and all manner of games (board, video, roleplaying). Between work and hanging out with friends I would probably be out of the house a fair bit! I'm vegan but I don't mind sharing a fridge and kitchen with meat etc. I enjoy having a chat but also like having my own space.
Hey! I'm Sabrina, a science student at ANU, who's also working as a research assistant. I enjoy hiking, reading, and play the violin. I'm a relatively tidy person, who mostly minds her own business, but am looking for housemates who enjoy sharing the occasional meal or activity.
