About the flatmates
I'm Thomas, a German who moved to Australia in 2010. Since my kids left home, I rent out the rooms to Backpackers, Students or any other Australians who like to share a flat.
Because I work and live in Melbourne 6-7 days a week, I won't be around often. I'm looking after necessary things like mowing the lawn and will be around for maintenance.
My house is a large and light filled 5 bed room house.
I have my own area with bedroom, bathroom and additionally a little office.
The housemates are staying between 3 and 6 months on average, but some are staying longer.
Overall I have always a nice mix of Nationalities; recently German, French and Aussies of course. This nice mix changes from time to time according to people moving in and out.
One of our main requirement is to keep the house clean by following common sense rules; personal hygiene is basically the most important thing when strangers are going to live under one roof.
Some more basics:
* no alcohol, no parties
* no smoking, no drugs
* no pets; but gold fish excepted ;-)
So far I am happy how everything turned out and I am looking forward to hear new housemates knocking at our door.
