I am currently searching for a short term private room whilst waiting for the property I purchased to be built. The move in date for my property is expected to be the end of November, however some flexibility around the date would be preferred, but I would of course give adequate notice of the move date! I don't mind if the room is furnished or not and the majority of my belongings will be placed in storage for this period. I've lived in share houses over the last 6 years so consider myself 'house trained' in contributing to all bills, cleaning rosters and being down for a chat 😁 About me: I work full-time in a science role and have after-work activities most evenings. When I come home I like to cook and then just relax (Netflix!). Im into health and fitness and am quiet in that I don't drink very often/ party 😊
We are both easy going, tidy and hard-working people. Happy to have a chat and relax. Love to experiment with some home cooked meals (even if they don't always work out as planned...)
I have lived, worked and studied in more than 4 continents. Loved exploring every inch of the culture and history's of the countries I was residing in. Now working in a field that combines my passions and skills into one and I can make a significant difference in society. In my spare time, I am often hiking, riding my mountain bike, surfing or playing a round of golf. I like to meet new people and hear their unique adventures via a well-prepared curry. Look forward to hearing from you. Cheers, Jack
Wright is a newly developed and central suburb in Canberra. This listing is for a bedroom in a brand new development. Wright is a perfect location, only between a 5-15min drive to all the main shopping centres such as Woden, the City and Belconnen. The apartment is a 2 bedroom place, and it will be fully furnished, aside from your bedroom. It is approximately 3.1m x 3.1m, with a built robe. You will have have the use of the main bathroom. There is also an ensuite, so the main will be all yours! (apart from the odd guest perhaps). The apartment has a balcony with great views. You will also have your own underground car space, and unlimited NBN internet, both of which are included in the cost. Apologies but no pets or persons who smoke please. Sorry!
We have a private room available in a shared town house in the new suburb of Wright. It is ideal for young professionals wishing to live within 10 minutes driving distance from the City and Woden; and ~15 minutes for most other suburbs. The town house has central heating/ air conditioning and unlimited NBN is already installed. In addition, there is a modern kitchen with several appliances including a dish washer, plenty of cupboards for storage and a big dining and living area. You will have a good sized private room, big enough for a queen bed and study desk. The room is unfurnished with a built in robe; all other rooms are furnished. You will be sharing the main bathroom with one male professional. There is free street parking available right outside the door. The street and neighborhood in general is very quiet, and although we are close to the main road, you will not hear traffic during any time of the day. The current lease ends in mid Feb, so our preference is that you would take up your share of the lease for the next 6 months. Move in date from 20 Dec.
Hi, I'm a student teacher finishing my masters. I'm relaxed and friendly :) I have a small white spoodle (spaniel x poodle) named Digby. He's fully house-trained, pretty quiet and loves people. Ideally I'd like to find a place with a yard for him to run around in. I'm a swing dancer and spend three nights a week dancing. I'm also an artist and spend a lot of time drawing and painting.
Looking for a fun, outgoing considerate flatmate for a furnished room in a brand new 2x bedroom apartment. The room will come with a King single, linen, wardrobe, lamp, bedside table etc. The apartment will be fully furnished, so you will only need to bring yourself. If you have a car parking will be on the street however if you do not have a car the unit is situated very close to main bus stops.
Great for young professionals wanting to live/work close to Woden/the City (only 10 mins drive). A room (with a brand new double bed) is available in a spacious, three-bed room, two-storey town house. The room is quite big, with a built-in-robe and private bathroom. The house has NBN, Netflix, and a private pool for the complex. Please note the rent does not include bills, and all bills (electricity/ gas/ internet) will be split equally. About us - You'll be sharing with two amazing housemates (ha!). First housemate is a 29 year old working full time and studying her Masters. Second housemate is busy finishing her law degree at the ANU. We're both fairly chilled and definitely not party animals. Some nights we watch the latest thing on Netflix, while other nights we are happy to keep to ourselves. We are both very clean and like to keep the place tidy. One is a non-drinker and another a vegetarian - and would ideally prefer someone who is similar, or is respective of this in the house. Lastly, I have an adorable (yet slightly crazy) cat - therefore no other pets will be allowed. We're after a female housemate who is responsible, honest, tidy and respects other's privacy and space. If you'd like to know more, please get in touch and we can arrange a time to show you the house. In your msg please include a little about yourself and what you're looking for in a house :)

Hi there! I'm an active young woman who works for Cisco out at Brindabella Park. I grew up here, so plenty of local knowledge. I don't have pets just YET, but I'm planning on rescuing a doggo or two, because I love dogs and also they're the key to happiness. This means that, if possible, I'd love a place with a yard. It doesn't have to be massive, as I'm in the habit of walking any dogs I have twice a day, every day. I regularly go to the gym - Eighty8 near my work, Anytime Fitness, and BlocHaus climbing gym - so I'm out of the house until quite late on weekdays. On weekends, I like relaxing around the house, moaning about being tired, then finally dragging myself off my butt to buy expensive brunch like the usual entitled millennial (but I hate avocado - ask me why I haven't bought a house yet!) and hang out with my mates. I am not at all a morning person; in fact I hate them. And I'm also not really a party person unless someone else does all the work and drags me out the door. I'm really not suited to a student household or a house with more than two other people - I've done my time in massive sharehouses, and I'm not about that life anymore. I do like cooking, but I'm pretty boring, because I usually bulk cook everything once a week and then eat frozen leftovers. Sometimes I feel inspired and make cakes/biscuits/assorted baked goods which I expect to share, because please take all those sweet things away from me. I definitely have too many clothes, so expect to triple your wardrobe if you're a size 8/shoe size 7, because I share. If you're a bloke, you can share too, but don't stretch out anything expensive! I enjoy video games, and I have a nice PC and an Xbox 360 (yes, I refuse to update, that workhorse is still going strong). I also read a lot! In summary: - One or two other people to share; - Small yard for a doggy; - Not a party animal; - Tragically single, so no bf/gf to awkwardly meet, but occasional sobbing; - Sometimes sing in the shower, but am actually decent; - Unfortunately shed long blonde hair everywhere; - Don't smoke, do drink infrequently; - Relaxed, full time employed, also I smell nice.
Hi everybody! Yohan and I are looking for a housemate for the 3rd bedroom in our home in Rivett. We're both public servants who have recently moved to Canberra. The house is recently renovated, with 2 bathrooms, heating and cooling, epic garage, built-in robes, electric blinds, nice big backyard. Communal areas are fully furnished, including whitegoods, kitchen equipment etc. you'll need to furnish the room. Rent will be $178 per week. You've gotta be clean and respectful, you know the drill. We've got Foxtel and unlimited broadband (bills shared evenly on top of rent)
This it is a fantastically large room (more like a studio apartment) with private entrance and ensuite. It has timber floors and large windows that look out onto a garden. The room has great light and is peaceful and quite. You share a fully equipped kitchen, lounge, dinning and laundry with one other female (youthfully retired). It's a great space for the right person and the house is super clean with quality furnishings etc. Non smokers only.
3 Bedroom 2.5 Bathroom Townhouse in Coombs: - NBN Access - Central Location (10-15mins to Woden, Civic, Belconnen) - Own Bathroom - Modern Fixtures and appliances - Study available for use - Plenty of storage - Great view of black mountain - Air-Conditioning/Heating - Only bedroom requires furniture
I work part time in a jewellery store in Woden and spend my spare time making art and writing. I'm respectful of other peoples privacy and need for alone time while still being cheerful and friendly to live with. I'm looking for a bedroom anywhere for me and my two rats (who live outside). I believe in respecting the people you live with by keeping the house clean and pleasant to live in. I also believe in respecting other peoples possessions. I hope I can find some nice people to live with :)
We're a really easy going and friendly couple in our early 20s! Both work full-time and I'm study nursing part-time at UC. We have a German Shepard X Rotti who is a loveable and well trained dog. Myself and Rahul have our own room furniture so an unfurnished room is a must. I also work currently as a shift worker - my shifts generally start around 7am and finish after lunch (I don't do any afternoon shifts but I do sleep at work twice a month). We work hard 6 days a week and enjoy relaxing on Sundays. We also enjoy going to the coast a few weekends a year to see our friends there.
I am 25 and work full time at the legislative assembly. I'm easy going and generally enjoy keeping to myself but enjoy a casual chat in the evening. I spend most weekends either out watching sport, playing myself (I play Aussie Rules and Ice Hockey) or just simply catching up with mates.
