I am a law graduate from Melbourne and I'm moving to Canberra In late January to commence a full time APS graduate program. I'm hoping to be able to move in with some fellow graduates or people in their early to mid twenties but I'm pretty flexible. I'm an easy going and sociable guy and given that I'll be new in Canberra and keen to meet new people, I'd love to live with outgoing people who enjoy raving parties as well as laid back Sunday sessions or group dinners every once in a while. I'll be working full time so I won't be home much but I can cook and I pride myself on my tidiness. I'll also have a car with me which I'd be more than happy to share to make life easier. In terms of hobbies I really enjoy skiing and rugby league and, as a native Queenslander, you'll find me completely decked out in maroons gear during the state of origin season! I also enjoy the gym and the outdoors. Due to my workplace being in Barton, I'm hoping to secure a property on the Southside preferably around Kingston or Griffith. Ideally I'd like to spend $250 per week, however if the property/people are top notch then I'd be happy to increase up $280-300 per week. Looking forward to hearing from you!
I am 25 years old, will be moving from Sydney to Canberra in December for work reasons. I am a high school teacher, outgoing and open to making new friends! Love my down time, but also love a wine on a Friday night and going out :) Would prefer 1 housemate, but open to 2 as well. Am pretty open to living where ever in Canberra (everywhere is pretty close)- but preference is for an apartment.
I have recently accepted an offer to work full-time for the Department of Veterans' Affairs as an ICT Graduate, and am looking for accommodation starting in early January. I am moving to Canberra from Brisbane on the 7th of January, though I am flexible, and more than happy to join a lease prior. I am twenty one years of age, and have recently completed my undergraduate Bachelor of Information Technology, with a major in Software Development, from Griffith University. I am an easy-going, considerate and sociable person, and am a strong believer in cleanliness. I have a passion for travelling and enjoy playing computer games in my free time.
I work for Telstra so get some benefits there. Am organised in terms of automating the house bills, rent and all that jazz.. Have all (good) furniture required of the house. For fun I do stuff with mates, PC or board games, gym, pub, restaurants! amongst other things. I am from Vic originally but moved to ACT area about 5 years ago.
Hi there! Looking out for a nice place to live in Canberra towards the end of the year or start of next year. I'll be starting a new job at the Treasury as a policy analyst in February. The house ideally needs to be semi or fully furnished with a parking spot for my car (can be off-street). The room must be well-lit, and can be furnished or unfurnished. I'm a positive, friendly and honest person. I like reading, travelling, and yoga, and also like to keep active by swimming and running. I'd also like to get into cycling, and I'm looking forward to some trips to the snow! My main interests are political economics and international development. I'm quite an easy-going person to live with, and I like to keep things clean and tidy. My partner is living in Adelaide and would occasionally come and visit every 1-2 months on the weekend, so I need to live with housemates who are relaxed in that regard. We don't tend to hang around the house anyway. I'm looking for housemates who I can occasionally spend time with in the evenings and on the weekends. Ideally, my housemates would enjoy having a good chat about the world, and have a good sense of humour. Cleanliness is a must. Please shoot me an e-mail if you have something suitable.
Alicia: I am relaxed but do love to chat after a day's work, I am a housemate who is friendly and easygoing at the same time. I will respect your privacy but hope to be on friendly terms with my housemates. I am enthusiastic about good coffee, bike riding, seeing live music and reading. I also have a partner, Tom, who will be visiting for a bit and then living with me after I move to Canberra. He also loves coffee and bike riding and can play the guitar quite well. Tom loves any beer that is brown/strong and purchasing LPs for his record player. He is a vegetarian, but i'm not and will eat almost anything. We will both be full-time professionals who want to make the most of our time in Canberra with weekend trips and socialising. Both of us have been living with 3 other flatmates in Melbourne, with a cleaning roster that we stick to.
Full-time in IT, recently job transferred from Melbourne to Canberra. Italian background, so food is a passion combined with good family values. Wide interest in hobbies and enjoy listening to everyone's stories! Easy going, Friendly, Respectful, Social, Tidy and responsible about rent and bills. Always happy to help about the house and even up for random/spur-moment adventures.
Hi, I have recently moved from interstate for full-time work in professional services. Looking for a place closer to work, preferably with own room and bathroom, and a car spot. I'm usually in Canberra Mon - Fri only and back home over the weekends. I'm clean, self-sufficient, enjoy my runs around the lake or up Mt Ainslie (if I get the time!), don't mind a drink or two, happy to socialise or keep to myself, and generally easy going.
I'm 26, male and a chartered accountant that also enjoys music and socialising. I own a gym in Fyshwick and compete in powerlifting. I'm easy to get along with, rarely home during the week as my job and gym take up a lot of my time. Pretty tidy and live simply.
My name is Navina and I've recently moved from Sydney to Canberra and work full-time in Acton. I am a relaxed person, clean and tidy, sociable, enjoy a glass of wine of two but also respect other people's personal space. I'm very easy to get along with and am a lover of animals, nature, road trips and just chilling out with friends. Looking forward to hearing from you!
I'm 34, work full-time in medical admin; and I'll be commencing part-time study next year. I'm a friendly person and happy to have a chat but I'm quiet most of the time and appreciate my space. I'm more than happy to pull my weight and do housework. I'm respectful of others and their property. In my spare time I enjoy watching movies, reading books and going for walks/bike rides. I'm reliable, clean and tidy and a non-smoker.
I'm a quiet, private professional person looking to get settled in Canberra before I find my own place. I go to bed early and get up early most days for a run or a bike ride. I'm moving from Darwin to start work in Canberra on January 16. My party days are behind me, but I like good conversation.
Hey guys, my name is Riley. I am moving down to Canberra from QLD, to work full-time with the APS. I consider myself a clean, easy-going and respectful person who is happy to socialise and spend time by myself, as well. I can pay rent or bond in advance.
I am a young professional. I enjoy spending time with friends and family. I do a lot of exercise in my free time and I enjoy listening to music. I am accommodating and relaxed. I keep the house tidy. Every few weeks I will bring a group of friends around for a taco and board game night.
I am moving to Canberra in late January/early February from Melbourne to commence an APS graduate program on the 6th February. I am looking to move into a share house with other people in their mid 20s. As I am new to Canberra it would be great to live with people I get on with socially as well and don't just keep to themselves. It would be bonus if the people I live with enjoy/tolerate my dad jokes and dry sense of humour. I would like a house that is kept clean in common areas, but I would say I am fairly easy going and I'm not going to yell at you if you haven't got around to doing the dishes yet (as long as you are going do them eventually) or your room isn't spotless. I certainly do not mind a party (preferably at someone else's house) or just a casual sunday drink, but it's sometimes also great to spend a Saturday night chilling on the couch and watching a movie. I would love to cook and share a meal with my housemates once in a while as well. I don't really have many hobbies, I love true crime podcasts and watching tv shows, going for walks and going to the gym. I've been studying for 5 years so maybe I will find some new hobbies now I am free haha. I would like to live in the inner/suburban north but I am open to other areas as long as it isn't too far by bus/car to work in the (north side) city centre. I am hoping to pay $200 a week (or less), but again I am open to up to $250 if the place and people are right. I would also prefer to live in a house/townhouse as opposed to an apartment, as I'd prefer having an outdoor area (even if it is small). Please feel free to message me to ask me anything :)
Hello! Moving down from Brisbane in early January to start a new APS job/ study part-time at ANU. Ideally looking for a house that is more than a financial transaction. Someone/People to hang out and explore Town with etc. But also totally understand those people who want to respectively sit in silence in their own rooms reading Harry Potter with a face masque. In terms of living together, I have lived in pretty much every type of share house situation now. So sharing chores, communal cleaning and respect are ingrained values. I am flexible on: - Start Date, - Length of Stay, - Room Type, - Bathroom situation and - Suburb. Let me know if you have any questions! Will/
I am a 25yr old medical student starting placement at the Canberra Hospital next year. I am looking for a place southside with some friendly people to share with. I am generally kept very busy with study but I love having someone to chat to when I get home. I would preferably like to have my own space with my own bathroom but I will be flexible if I find the right place. In my spare time I enjoy fitness, movies and visiting my friends and family.
Professional female, I've been renting for four years but my lease is ending shortly. Looking anywhere around the Canberra Area. I work in real estate 6 days a week, I'm not home very much but when I am at home I do enjoy relaxing and unwinding.
Hi my name is Cassandra(Cassie) and I'm a 27 year non smoker. I work full time in admin and enjoy spending my spare time in the gym or exercising outside. I live a pretty quiet lifestyle but don't mind the occasional wine or beer. I consider myself a pretty good cook and I make a pretty good cheese cake too :)
My place is in an awesome street in Narrabunda. It is nice and close to everything yet quiet and homely. The place has a massive backyard and plenty of room for parking off the street. Your room is large, with built in hooks for posters and a sunny window overlooking the backyard. There is also a spare room for storage if you need it. I have furnished the house with most of the essentials (Fridge, utensils, table, washing machine etc.) so you just need to bring what you would like for your room. The rent includes internet (1000gb VDSL2) but the rest will be split between yourself and me. (only 2 in the house) As a small bonus, I have my own gym gear in the shed that you would also be welcome to use.
I live alone with my two toy poodlespups, I keep to myself and have a fairly busy lifestyle. I want company and just enjoy meeting new people. I also have a courtyard with a BBQ, pizza oven and an outdoor setting, airconditioning is also in the house.
3 bedroom house in the heart of Griffith, close to Manuka and Kingston. Place has loads of character and a massive kitchen. Room has no built in but plenty of space. Net flix, and internet available. Seperate bath and shower. Separate toilet.
I'm a 26 year old professional female that is looking for a house mate in the Queanbeyan area. I am a very fun and outgoing person. The apartment is modern and the room will include the main bathroom for yourself. Electricity, gas and Internet to be split. There is secure parking available, however it is a tandem parked with my car. Unit is fully furnished except for the spare room.
Furnished Room to Rent - Griffith - Inner South Fully furnished double room available for $250.00 per week (Utilities and Unlimited Wireless Internet included in rent payable). The home offers Fully Equipped Kitchen Ducted Heating and Cooling Solar Heated Pool with Entertaining Area Close to Bus Stop if needed or car space available Close to Manuka and Kingston Call to Discuss and Arrange a Time to View
Ideal location, great price, and a cosy home. The apartment is a 10 minute walk to Kingston shops, and close to Manuka shops and the Kingston Foreshore area. It is well serviced by public transport. The apartment is a bit old, but will be a cosy home when furnished (I move in with my furniture on 25 November). The available (unfurnished) room will fit a double bed and a desk comfortably. You will have the main bathroom to yourself, but the toilet is shared. (The ensuite does not have its own toilet.) There is loads of on-street parking. The room is available from 3 December. Ideally, I am looking for someone willing to stay until next November (which is when the lease ends), but I am open to shorter stays. Bond is 4 weeks rent ($760). Electricity and internet are split equally.
I currently work full time as an Insurance Adviser and have lived in Canberra my whole life. I am easy going and always up for a laugh but also very much enjoy my own company. I have a pretty low key Mon - Fri routine, but on the weekend am always keen to be social and spontaneous. I am far from OCD but do like common areas to be tidy. I come with a dog, a 10 year old maltese x shihtzu who loves attention and cuddles.
I am female professional in early 30's moving to Canberra for work around second week of November . I am an outgoing person who enjoys meeting new people and making friends. But I also respect people's privacy and personal space. I like to keep things clean and organized . I am looking for a place to share with people who are easy going and fun to live with.
I'm a first year ANU student who is looking for a new place to stay. I'm respectful and will always keep common areas clean. I love to watch movies and tv shows but am also a lover of books. I take my studies pretty seriously so when I have assignments I will pretty much be locked up in my room procrastinating. However, other than that I am quite sociable and enjoy a good chat with my roommates. I'm a pretty chill person and not much really gets to me that easily. Did I mention my love of animals? I seriously love animals. I had two dogs, a cat, a couple turtles, a hamster... In other words, I have no problems with pets. Also, I grew up in a bunch of different places (Malaysia and Japan just to name a couple) so I'm also really into traveling and learning about new cultures. Actually I myself am half Japanese and Australian so culture is one of my "things" I guess. If you're a friendly, inviting person who is open to living with a laid back person like me, please don't hesitate to contact me because I think we'd make perfect housemates!
