Hi, I'm a friendly, considerate and clean single-mum with a school aged child, and a ginger tabby cat. We are looking for temporary/ short-term accommodation (for about 6 months, maybe longer) in the northern suburbs. We are used to house-sharing. I have run my home as a share house for the last 8 years. We've welcomed students, professionals, and homestay students. Now we're relocating to Canberra and are looking to find a "team-up" to rent a whole property, or space in an existing tenancy (that would accept a cat). We'd also consider a granny flat or small property. I have furniture, but can put it in storage if the property is already furnished. Looking to move in September OR December.
I'm Imogene (Immi) a 26yo female interested in creative arts. I work Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday afternoons. Often out of the house in the evenings for night class, theatre company meetings or rehearsals. Light smoker (perfectly happy to not do it at the house). Often content to just hang out and read comic books or watch cartoons, but I do enjoy a cheeky drink. INFP- if that's something you are interested in knowing?
WHO: I'm a full-time worker who is clean and reliable but also very quiet. I do tend to keep to myself but I am happy for a chat now and then. I’m vegan, non-drinking and non-smoking (but don’t mind if you’re not), and I am queer-friendly and pet-friendly. My current housemate/landlord can provide a reference if desired. I have lots of sharehouse experience and references are available. WHAT: I’m looking for a tidy place that I can come home to after work and on weekends knowing I can relax in peace and quiet (no ad hoc parties!). I have my own furniture and am hoping to fit a single bed, chest of drawers, bookcase and desk in my room. I also have a small amount of my own cookware for the kitchen, if it can be accommodated. Ideal housemates will be tidy, responsible, and considerate of others. I don’t mind if you drink/smoke/eat meat as long as there’s no smoking indoors or disruptive drunkenness. WHERE: Anywhere in the ACT, so don’t be put off if your suburb isn’t in my preferred list. WHEN: I need to move by June 30 at latest; if moving sooner than that I need to give 2 weeks notice at my current address. HOW: If you would like to meet me and show me your place, please send me a message (with any extra helpful info that is not in your listing), and we'll go from there.

Hi there. I'm a pretty low maintenance and highly responsible professional adult. i pay the rent on time, I clean, i respect people's space. I'm an ex-engineering drafter/designer turned Personal Trainer. I'm working full time in the hospitality industry while I study to become a personal trainer with the Australian Institute of Fitness. I'm fairly active and am not home too much.
I am great to live with because... I, as I would describe myself; am pretty chilled, friendly and easy-going. I keep to myself, yet don't mind being social. I have a full-time job in the APS and in addition to being employed I am also honest and reliable which means that there wouldn't ever be any issues with rent/bills being paid on time. I would also make a great housemate because I don't shy away from practical/hands on jobs and enjoy a little bit of DIY. I am pretty handy when it comes to assembling IKEA furniture or any other items that may require assembly for that matter ;) I have a pet that I would like to have move with me. His name is Leroy and he is a Diamond Python. He lives in a fully enclosed glass tank and would live in my room (hoping the space would allow for his tank) - you wouldn't even know he was there...
Hi, I'm Toni! I am moving back to Canberra within the next week and am looking for a place to stay. I am flexible with short-term or long-term stays, preferably a furnished room. I am currently working in hospitality and very laid back. When I am not at work, chances are you'll find me watching/playing sport, hanging out with some friends, going for bush walks or going for a swim. I am tidy, know how to pull my weight in the house, am sociable but respect the privacy of others.
I'm a single female public servant with a very friendly, toilet trained indoor cat called Yin (Yinneko). I used to be in the Army and spent most of my 12 year career living with housemates. Since leaving Defence I've been renting alone but miss living with other people and would like to take some stress off my living expenses when my lease runs out in August. I'm a very busy lady: I row competitively so I'm generally out of the house by 530am, I'm also still an Army reservist and sing in a band so I'm rarely home before 6 or 7 pm during the week and tucked into bed by 9. Weekends I like to let my hair down but am generally pretty strict with my weekday routine. I'd ideally like to live somewhere close to the north side of Lake Burley Griffin to reduce my commute each day and so I can return home to shower and change after training each morning instead of dragging half my wardrobe in to the work change rooms each week. Living closer to the city also means I can arrive home earlier and assist with cooking meals, daily chores and relax watching some TV rather than driving 30 mins in and out of the city each direction (more during peak hour), or better yet: walk or cycle to work! When I am home, I like to watch TV or listen to music, podcasts or audiobooks and crochet, cook, sew, or craft. I read avidly, write (songs/journaling) and draw; I also play acoustic guitar, piano and sing, but not all the time: I'll generally save belting my lungs out for band practice at our rehearsal space in Googong. I also like to get out of the house on weekends if the weather is nice: I'll generally go have a picnic, walk, hike, ride my bike, go swimming, take day trips to the beach, snow or local wineries or spend time with my friends. As I've been generally living solo since 2014, I have all of my own furniture including a 2 and 3 seater lounge suite, TV, Refrigerator, Washing machine, and of course my own bedroom furniture as well as a few bookcases, desk and a 6-seater outdoor setting. I am able to palm a few items off to friends and family in VIC so if there is no room, I am happy to only come with what I need. Please remember that I DO come with a furry creature. This is non-negotiable, so if you don't like cats, are allergic or have indoor pets of your own, this may not be the ideal situation. Yin is a Rescue and can get a little territorial around other dogs and cats but is 100% sold on humans. She just LOVES people. She will be the centre of attention at dinner parties and will happily chill and watch TV with you either from your lap or the back of the couch. I am not particularly fond of dogs and ack that not everyone likes cats so I don't take it personally if this turns you off :) I would prefer to get to know any prospective housemates prior to moving in together which is why I'm putting this up so early. My current lease doesn't run out until Mid August, but I'm sure you can agree it makes sense to ensure we get along and our values align. There is also an option to trial cohabitation before my current lease comes to an end if you'd like, noting that the 2Bed/1Bath house I currently live with is a little small but it would give us a good idea of whether or not we think we could live together. I have a few ex-housemates who are more than happy to discuss what it's like living with me. I've remained friends with most of them. I'm looking at 1 year leases with option to continue beyond this if circumstances remain extant.

Would be ideal for students as there is plenty of privacy and space which is conducive to study. It has a good sized kitchen, ducted gas heating and ducted evaporative cooling to keep you warm or cool all year around. Looking for housemates who are relaxed, quiet, tidy and happy to pitch in with housework and garden upkeep. Palmerston is only 15 mins drive from the city, 10 mins from Belconnen and a single bus ride to both. ONLY FEMALES to apply as one of the rooms is occupied by my step daughter for part of the year when she visits, and we would prefer only females apply as the main bathroom will be shared with my step daughter. Please note NO PETS!!
I'm currently a 23 year old student, will be finishing my degree in May. As a flatmate, I am tidy, reliable considerate and sociable. Always up for a chat or TV show binge session/ movie night but I do respect people's personal space.
I am a youthful 55yrs post-surgery Transgender person who is very easy going. I'm currently at University of Canberra studying Bch Of Public Health. I am mostly seeking to start a new share property, so anyone willing to move into 'fresh' accommodation with me would be ideal! Just 2-3 people including me would be preferable. You would need to be willing to sign-up to a joint lease with all tenants. I can basically furnish a large home if necessary. However I don't have a dining suite or a lounge suite. * Kitchen = very large twin door fridge, microwave and just about every cooking item you could want! * Living = large timber pieces including wall units, bookcase, hallway table and entertainment unit (for television, etc). * Laundry = front loading washing machine, ironing board, etc. * Outside = lawn mower, whipper snipper, water hose, etc. The selfish bit! I have a seven piece bedroom suite, so i'd be requiring the largest bedroom in a property. I also have a study desk in my bedroom where i'm currently living. (I've kinda got used to this set-up!) I have an existing NBN Internet contract with unlimited data and a 100mb speed connection. It also includes the Optus 'Fetch' TV with 6 channels and access to netflix, etc. If I/we can source a new property in an existing NBN suburb, I can transfer the service to that location. (I know many suburbs to the West of Belconnen are being wired-up for NBN soon.) Although I can wait until June 30, I am hoping to find a new place to live anytime from late May onwards. My share of any rent would be $185 per week maximum (I am a Uni student after all.) I'd prefer a property that is in very good condition and located on the North side of Canberra - ideally within reasonable travel distance to the University of Canberra. But i'm flexible for the 'right' property. I think of home as a relaxing place to escape the 'noise' of our busy and stressful lives. So anyone who wants to live in a comfortable, quiet home environment, i'd like to hear from you! Having said that, friends dropping by is a good thing! I like to cook a dinner for my friends every so often and i'd be more than happy for my housemates to join in. If baking muffins in the kitchen whilst sipping a hot chocolate on a Winter's Sunday morning appeals to you, we'd be perfect housemates! That's it !!! Hit me up if you're interested in joining forces to find a new home!
Hi there, I will move down to Canberra from Sydney for study and work in late Feb or early Mar. I am looking for one or two females/couple to share a flat with for at least 6 months or longer, but I am flexible with the length. I am an easy going and friendly person. I like to make friends, and wish we could become good friends to hang out and have a talk with. But I do respect others' privacy at the same time. I have experience of living with a family with little kid or females over 5 years, so I have learnt how to be considerate to housemates. I am also a quiet, clean, tidy and organised person. I would like to have a room with build-in wardrobe, ideally also is furnished (but I am flexible with that if the rent is a bit lower :P). I have a car, so off-street parking is necessary, of course garage is perfect! I do want the location of the house/flat has an easy access to public transport too, although lower frequency is acceptable. I look forward to hearing some good news from you guys! :)

We are Claire (27, full time scientist) and Chilli (7, full time couch potato) and although we just moved back - our parents are selling up our free digs, so we are looking for somewhere to live! Claire has been renting/share-housing (on & off) since 2014, and Chilli is newer to the game but did so in 2016. We are boring - so clean, tidy, early risers with nanna bed times. Claire does all the normal human things - talks, exercises out of necessity rather than enjoyment, watches TV, likes board games and escape rooms, is a dishwasher stacker/unstacker extradordiare, a good cook and an average baker. Chilli is housetrained and all round “good boy” (kid, dog + cat friendly - with NSW Green Collar) whose special skills include sleeping, collecting (soft toys, the occasional cushion), smooching and claiming unsupervised food... We spend most weekends (Fri-Sunday night) in Sydney with Luke (Claire's husband & Chilli's dad) - Chilli goes too, but we will spend about 1 weekend a month in town - and it'd be cool if you'd be okay with him visiting. We have some furniture so happy to share with the group, or start a house share. Flexible with anywhere in Canberra. Looking to move most likely late July to early August. Preferably we’d like you to love dogs and Chilli hates the outdoors, so you'd need to be okay with him inside. There is the possibility for Chilli to renounce the spoiled only child life to live with his dad & fur siblings....but we'd prefer to be together.
