We are looking for a SARBB - single, active, retired, baby boomer, to join our small self-sustainable community on a delightful 5 acres of organic farm and rainforest, 20 minutes north of Noosa, close to Lake Cootharaba. Each of the 7 comfortable newly built cabins offer a living space including ensuite and private patio. The communal areas consist of a grand Living Pavilion with breezeways and living and dining spaces, a winter room to dine and lounge with a fireplace, indoor/outdoor gas and wood fired kitchens, pantry room, tea/coffee kitchen, TV lounge, undercover car parking, a large work shed with a covered work area and a visitor’s suite. The position available is for a seedling gardener to grow our veggie and fruit tree seedlings in our covered nursery. hopefully you will be a keen gardener with some experience in growing seedlings. A friendly considerate person that is easy to live with. Im a supervisor at an Indian Restuarant in Tewantin most afternoons and evenings. Would be astounded if my home was within bike riding distance to the shops at poinciana av. During the day I may be working on my van, going to the beach, trekking, arts & crafts, reading books, petting dogs at the dog beach, yoga, exercising, cooking yummy vegan goodies or whatever I feel like doing :D Prefer to go camping over hitting the town anyday but dont mind a few drinks on odd occasion. I want to also live with an easy going person that is atleast tidy and respectful.
Hi there, so am planning to move to your beautiful part of the world from Victoria. I wish to rent for a year before buying to get to know the areas. I have horses and will be agisting in Pomona so would like to be no more than 25 mins away from them. I do have 2 well trained, sweet outside dogs that will be coming with me. Surrounded by bush in a friendly neighbourhood, right beside the lake and the Noosa River, this small but comfortable home is where I have studied and lived for the past 16 years. I try to keep a minimalist open plan feel, with a welcoming kitchen. Solar power, air conditioning, outdoor area amongst gardens and good internet are among other pluses, as are the lovely bush and lake walks that start at the front gate. Smoking is allowed outside, but not inside, and while I love animals I am not accepting pets out of respect for my cat...plus the property is largely un-fenced. This house is quiet and relaxed but not far from town with possible parking on the front lawn. Your room has built in wardrobe, large window, ceiling fan and is close to the spacious bathroom. We have good internet but no television connection because, well, I just don't like it enough to be bothered :-) My son lives at the back of the property so it is just myself in the house, but we share the bathroom, which is kept very clean. I love to keep the place tidy as I feel better and think more clearly in uncluttered surroundings (heading back to uni end of Feb) There will be construction going on out in the backyard with landscaping and such, but this will not impact you greatly as a flatmate.
