Myself and my partner (George) are from the UK and travelling and working over Australia for 12 months. I am a Vet and have a 1 month worth of work lined up in Maitland for March so am looking for some accommodation nearby or within public transport distance. George is hoping to get some casual work in the area. We are both very easy going and more than happy to pitch in with whatever is needed. We have both lived in shared accommodation before so understand the importance of being tidy and considerate. We are both quite sociable so wouldnt just lock ourselves away every night.
Hi! I'm Indiana, 20 years old and about to begin a teaching degree at the University of Newcastle (Callaghan campus) mid year. I'll be packing up, leaving my full time office job and moving from my hometown in the Northern Rivers in mid to late May or first week of June. I am a respectful and tidy person to live with, quiet and low key but enjoy good conversations and the occasional wine. I've been raised to always clean up after myself and to contribute to housework, which is what I'm looking for in potential housemates as well :)
Neat, respectful and easy going. Happy to keep to myself and/or be social with others. I enjoy cooking and don’t mind doing the dishes! I am relatively quiet and enjoy my own company, so there’s no risk of any wild parties or anything of the sort happening. I do however like to chat to people and love having good people that I get along with around me if having me be a bit more of a social butterfly is preferred. I’m pretty chilled either way :) I do smoke, but no more than maybe five or less in any one day and would always do so outside in a well ventilated area, I also have a good habit of disposing of cigarette butts appropriately and promptly once finished. I am currently, and have been for the last seven years, working as an AIN, and often am working on a rotating roster, so shift work is inevitable. I am happy to move out of where I am now and into a new place ASAP! :) look forward to hopefully meeting nice people and living in a comfortable, relaxed and cosy feeling home Kindest regards, B.
I'm a 19y/o male starting uni at the end of Feb. I'm an easy going social guy, clean and tidy. I don't go out much, definitely wouldn't be bothering the house with any parties/super drunk mates. I work at Bunnings a fair bit and will continue it around my uni timetable. It's a well paying job and i have a lot saved up so paying expenses won't be an issue. I love soccer, the gym, the beach and going on roadtrips.
I'm an organised, ordered, hygienic, quiet, confident easy going woman with a great sense of humor. I rarely drink, enjoy music, the hounds and the beach. I spend a lot of time outdoors. Im the flat mate that you dont know is there. Excellent cook. Excellent cleaner, and Excellent and minding my own business LOL...I'm a lighthearted, private person who doesn't sweat the small stuff. LGBTI friendly
I'm an easy-going, sociable university student who is looking for a private room within walking distance (or easy to reach public transport) to the university. For fun, I enjoy playing the piano, walking and of course, having a bit of a laugh.
Hi there, I am looking to move to Newcastle in the new year and will be needing a place to live, preferably more than just a house but a home. I am able to transfer with my current job so I will be working almost immediately of moving to Newy. I will be studying nursing at UoN this year. I'd be looking to move in the first couple weeks of January. Would be a bonus is the room is partly furnished i.e. a queen sized bed but not fussed. I love the beach and catching up with friends mainly. I don't party a lot but am out of the house quite a bit. I'm a chilled, clean person and easy to get along with. I don't have any fur babies but would be a bonus if my future housemates did. I'm not picky on which suburb of Newcastle I live in as long as it's a nice neighbourhood...
Easy going full time aircraft engineer looking for accommodation near Williamstown airport for 6 months. Furnished room is preferred. Parking required. light traveler, Social drinker, non smoker, neat and tidy.
HARMONY HOUSE - modern, clean and homely Looking for clean and friendly housemates to join our peaceful share house. Perfect for students or young workers in their 20s. Fully furnished bedrooms available. Rent includes bills and unlimited super fast NBN internet. This modern, clean and homely, fully furnished house will make it easy for you to study, work and rest. The house is perfectly located within easy walking distance to the University of Newcastle, Warabrook Train Station and Shopping Centre. It is also the closest part of Newcastle for driving to Maitland and the Airport and convenient to TAFE. The house includes an expansive kitchen, dining, lounge room, laundry, outdoor entertaining area and spacious backyard. All enquiries welcome.
Hey guys and gals, Recently one of our housemates has had her partner move back to town and is moving out, so we are looking to fill a room. Firstly, extra costs are splitting all power, water and gas bills evenly among 5, and $37 per month for fox/internet (more on that below). This is a very large share house. 2 large living rooms, separate dining and kitchen, extra "games room" which currently houses 80 odd board games, and an outdoor "Queensland" room (or just an enclosed outdoor entertainment room). The main bathroom is shared with 3 other people, shower and toilet are in separate rooms. Gas water heating so we always have hot water. House has ducted air conditioning (and we use it in summer, so factor that into electricity costs). House has NBN fiber to the house broadband with 100/40 speeds (basically real fast) and we have foxtel in both living rooms with sports package. The new housemate is expected to contribute to the monthly foxtel/internet which comes to $37 a month. But the data limit we have is huge (we have never come close to hitting it) so you can stream various things and watch fox to your hearts content. House backs on to the wetlands park in Warabrook, and is a 10-15 minute walk to the Warabrook train station. View is also of nice open space in the wetlands and we get a bunch of birds hanging around the house. Our garage also houses some gym equipment that housemates are welcome to use (think of it as a free gym membership!!!). The bedroom itself is fairly small (hence the $110 a week). Has a built in wardrobe. Previous occupants have fit a queen size bed, desk and chair, and set of drawers but its a fairly tight fit. Not much we can do about that, but the large house with many living areas will hopefully help. Bedroom will have no furniture, rest of house will be fully furnished, so if you have some furniture to bring let us know in advance so we can make sure it fits. We will do our best to accommodate you in bringing your own furniture to the rest of the house. Anyone who is approved by the existing housemates would then need to be approved by the real estate to move in to the house. This is a fairly pain free process, but they will require some standard things like proof of employment, references and rental history if applicable. There is also a $600 bond that you would be taking over from the previous tenant.
Hi all, We have a room available in a townhouse located close to the University of Newcastle in Shortland! The room is located upstairs (unfurnished) and features a built in wardrobe and offers plenty of sunlight during the day. Large shared bathroom and the room has access to a balcony. The downstairs kitchen, lounge and dining area is air conditioned and there is a small backyard. Laundry and separate toilet also located downstairs. Unfortunately, we are unable to have pets. This is a clean and relaxing house, and both housemates are easy to get along with and friendly. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to message us!

I'm a final year nursing student at the University of Newcastle and work part-time shift work as an AIN. I love candles, baking, and binge watching tv shows. I'm the sort of person who enjoys company, but having lived in share houses for the last two years, I respect people's personal space as well.
I am in my 4th year of University studying Speech Pathology and live in Newcastle.
