I love life. I am Vegan, Woodworker. I enjoy reading, music, yoga, cooking and much more. I have a constant companion,we have been together for 12 years. She is a Basenji which is a small barkless dog. I am seeking a place where she will be welcome inside. I can provide excellent references and I have lived locally for 16 years.
I'm a Wookie-Hobbit hybrid with a Brazillian, and a writer. I have spinal damage but still mobile, and just want a place where I can write my books & screenplays, plus grow veggies. I'm 6'4" so I need a decent sized room, plus a study/office for my writing. I don't have any pets of my own but very happy to live with someone who does SO LONG AS they are well trained, cared for, and don't become a burden to me through lack of training and care by their human parents, I would also be particularly intolerant of witnessing any abuse of such pets.
I have lived in the Byron Shire for the past 20 years while my daughter was growing up so now that my daughter has moved away for uni I am seeking to rent in the Byron/Tweed Shire. I work locally (part time) and ideally I am looking for a granny flat/studio to rent however I am also willing to share with a few like minded individuals. I am happy to pay up to $250 p/week however I am also willing to do gardening, child minding/caring, cooking and house keeping in addition or exchange for rent. Warm regards, Dawn
I'm hoping to find a long-term home for at least a year; or longer, if all works out well. I definitely like calm and quiet in my home environment, although I do enjoy relating with people when it happens, and having thoughtful and thought-provoking conversations. But basically I'm quite self-contained, independent and enjoy being quiet. Re shared areas; I believe I'm a very considerate, aware and respectful sharer of space. I leave the most minimal footprint possible and clean up as immediately as possible after creating food in the kitchen. As far as my life style/interests are concerned: I'm a teacher who recently retired from working with Indigenous adolescents in central Australia for several years, and before that in Wilcannia and northern NSW. I'm now studying a three year Dru Yoga Teacher Training course; I attend two Dru yoga classes a week, one a private class in Mullum, and one in Byron. I'm a regular volunteer at the Northern Rivers Community Gallery in Ballina (one or two shifts a week) I have my own income. I'm a creative who delights in the aesthetic in all aspects of living. I'm a keen gardener and enjoy planting food, herbs and flowers. I love eating good food and cooking, particularly different ethnic foods. I eat a vegetarian diet, but I'm not rigid about it. I guess if I were asked to encapsulate what I love and believe in, one word would have to be *diversity* and one concept would have to be *unity in diversity*. I'm a traveller and a seeker and always will be. Suffice it to say I can wax lyrical about things I feel passionate about, and act upon them as well.
The house is fresh, clean and has a spacious feel. It has a veranda that faces the rural view of hills and the lounge/kitchen space enjoys heaps of abundant light. The place is built for passive solar and is warm but attracts breezes. There is solar power and high speed internet, which is included in the rent. There is a second room with only drapes that can be shared as an office space, guest/yoga space or a treatment room.... open to translation. The house is furnished with a mixture of the owners things and my own with an Asian overtone including Japanese zen pebble garden and soak bath in the main bathroom. The area is quiet and has a tennis court and playing field nearby and is close to the Farmer's Market and town. It's a pet free, smoke and drug free home. The owner's has asked for a shoes off home... (They have had a dojo set up here and taught aikido.)
Hi lovely people, I’m looking for a place to move to with my best mate (a golden Labrador, Lily) and I’m having a lot of trouble finding anywhere because nobody seems to want to accept my dog. She is an adorable sweetheart and very well behaved . Ideally I want to live in Mullumbimby, but will be happy to live anywhere in the surrounding area if I can find a happy place. I’m currently in Sydney and taking time out from my usual job to try out living up that way. I’m in my 50’s, very young spirit, strong social and environmental conscience, very considerate, reliable and responsible. I'm a great cook, will keep the house clean and tidy, love to both sing and listen to music, dance, ride my bicycle, gardening, movies, reading, markets, meditation and yoga. Looking to get involved in some new activities up there and to meet new people. Hoping to do some art and writing classes and join a meditation group. Hoping to find some like minded people to share with. I have heaps of beautiful friends in Sydney and Melbourne and hoping to make more up that way.
We are moving up from Tasmania and looking for like minded people to share a house with :) we are easy to get along with, love chilling out with our dog, playing guitar, listening to music and going for walks or bike rides. We aren't party animals but we don't mind a drink every now and then. We plan on studying at Tafe and Uni and finding casual work. We are clean, respectful and considerate of others. We have a beautiful 2 1/2yr old American staffy, so dog/animal friendly people would be great! :)
I am lucky to spend some time in Australia. I am 26 years old and a student from Austria. I lived with many people in shared accommodations so far and what I´ve learned from that is that I like it tidy and that responsibilities are shared between flat mates. I like to live with people and cook together and spend free time if wanted. :)
Heyyo Everyone! I'm 22, with a degree in sport sciences looking to find a new area to live and explore in while continuing to study. We are Cassie and Jose, a young couple moving from Melbourne to Bryon Bay at the end of April. We both are employed - I will be commuting between Byron Bay and Melbourne twice a month to manage a yoga business down here; Jose will be working locally as a Chef. We are both active and healthy and quiet, we don't party, and we don't have any pets (though we love them).
New Zealander. I tidy up after myself and always pay my bills on time. I live a reasonably active lifestyle and tend to get along with everyone. I will be doing work placement and intend to get a job out of it. Initially need 3 months accommodation but after work placement I plan to stay put. I am still on course in New Zealand and will be finishing up and moving to Aus in mid June
Room for rent in beautiful Ocean Shores includes all bills and internet sorry no pets as we already have a big friendly dog named Lessi. We’re looking for friendly working single person. Quiet household in a quiet street. $210 p/w
Happy, relaxed, fun, considerate, flexible traveller looking to settle. 31yrs old from the UK. I have been travelling and working for the past 7 years and looking to settle in to land life for hopefully a year or 2 in the Byron area. Looking for somewhere from mid May for a few months at least :)
I am an easy going, free spirited individual equally happy to both hang out and get to know you or spend time in my own company. I believe it's important to have a kept house and am more than happy to do my fair share of keeping it clean. I am in my last year of high school and plan on travelling when I finish. I love being near the water and it's where you'll find me in most of my free time. I currently work, helping out at the farmers market but I am looking for a more fixed job in the future.
Hey everyone I'm Jenna, I am an independent, sensible, grounded person moving to Byron Bay from Melbourne to study Horticulture at Byron Community College. I will be working and studying, therefore I am not looking for a lively backpacker-vibe party house, I am hoping to find a calm and relaxed home to settle into. I'm keen to make new friends and enjoy living in an open and welcoming household. I am open to teaming up with people, I'd love to find another person that is working full-time/studying and has the same desire to share a clean & chilled home space. I do not have any furniture, so I'm looking for an already furnished room/house. Would prefer to be living in a house (not a flat/apartment) with a backyard/garden. Please don't hesitate to send me a message, open to all options and happy to have a chat :) Jenna *Currently have short term accommodation till 23/5, seeking long term home closer to Mullum where I'll be studying.
Our lovely large three story, eight bedroom home on one acre about 4 kms from Murwillumbah, has a room to rent for a single person. You'll be sharing with 2 or 3 others (male and female), including sharing a bathroom. The property is on the Tweed River with views across to the Springbrook mountains. It’s very relaxing to sit on the balcony, enjoying the beautiful view and hearing the birds. There is a swimming pool, a slow combustion fire place and a dog that spends a lot of time inside with us. (Sorry, no other pets considered). You’ll be sharing with the owner and one or two others who are currently renting. Please only contact us if you have stable, full time employment, have no major dramas going on and can live peacefully and respectfully with others. It’s a quiet home with people who enjoy an active, healthy lifestyle. No smokers (not even outside) and no drugs! You would be expected to do your fair share of the housework and gardening, so that the home and yard are well maintained. There is ample space for you to grow your own food, herbs etc, if you want. We buy our own food and sometimes have shared meals. Short term rental also considered, if you are in-between homes. The bedroom can be furnished or unfurnished, however apart from the bedroom, there is not a lot of space for other people’s stuff, i.e. the home is fully furnished. Please email in the first instance . Tell us about yourself. The room is available now however the rental date is flexible for the right person.
