Most recently did 4 years in QLD and now settling back home in Melbourne with my beautiful kelpie x dog Ali LaLa. I work in Administration for a Not for Profit organisation part time but working on going full time soon as I move into the suburbs (currently commuting from Bendigo way is a pain). I've done house-sharing before and come with references. They will tell you how I usually keep to myself as I do a lot of work writing/reading on my laptop. I adapt to how other house mates want to spend their time in the house. Happy to hang out and chat about each others lives and escapades but still have their own space. I love to garden and growing food if possible and try to be as self-sustainable as possible. Outdoors walking the dog and taking photos as I love photography. Prefer a psycho-free home. Somewhere safe and respect each others property/possessions. Yes I clean up after myself. No I don't take forever in the bathroom or leave a mess. Yes my dog has rules and house trained. She gets along with other dogs and scared of cats after being beaten up by one. For entertainment I like going to see live bands. I'm not much of a drinker but have been known to have a bottle of red occasionally. Length of stay I would hope long term so I can settle down and work to save money for whatever adventure I next dream up. Bottomline: Great sense of humour and easy going. Honest and respectful. This house is in a nice residential street with plenty of on-street parking, a nice front-yard and a big back-yard with a huge patio that we've lined with couches (see the pics), which basically functions as an outdoor living room. It's really well-lit, modern and clean with a decently equipped kitchen (including dishwasher, gas stove and oven) and central heating. There is a veggie patch that any would-be housemate could have free reign over if they're interested. Location-wise, we are literally a five minute walk from Northland which covers almost everything (supermarkets, delis, gym, restaurants, a big Hoyts, and a heap of buses departing) - but you can barely see or hear it from our house; best of both worlds! We are also reasonably close (15 min walk) to the 86 tram and of course being in Preston you have the Preston market with everything that has to offer. Also only a few minutes from the Darebin Creek Trail which lets you cycle all the way down through the city.
